Casa Nostra in Oadby and Wigston

Lovely restaurant and friendly staff. Service for getting first drink was slow, and the pizzas are over priced. The calamari and salmon linguine were really nice. The casa nostra prawns are amazing.

We went last Saturday the 23rd as we had been there a few times previously and enjoyed it, we had a relative visiting from the USA ad though it would be a nice place to take him , All was well when we arrived but as our Main courses arrived two of us had the Salmon , one piece was lovely but the other one was smoked and rather dry, we spoke to the waitress who said they didn't do smoked salmon but on checking with the chef found out there was a problem with the supplier, surely we should have been told this before the meal was brought out ? Then we ordered dessert then waited and waited , when they finally brought out the first one the waitress apologized and said they were busy in the kitchen, yes they were all in there eating as 3 or 4 of them came out still chewing ! it got worse after that as all the staff came out and started cleaning and setting tables all around us, no one asked if we even wanted another drink. they did at least waive the charge for one main course. I am not sure we will ever go back .

Went today for lunch with friends. The food was delicious and the staff are very good. Would highly recommended.

The place was uninviting, but the food looked ok from the street view as I walked past, didn't get bombarded but when I was approached the waitress was very pleasant, we spoke about the set meal and she was very accommodating and interested in the changers I asked for? The set meal was tomato and mozzarella salad, with spaghetti Carbonara ( with my addiction of raw egg yolks on top) and a plain flat bread, they even brought me a small jug of pasta water! but I had to ask for it? the meal and experience was nice (pasta was overcooked) and the plain flat bread was nearly £7 which I questioned and it was reduced by £3 in my opinion it should have accompanied the meal free like the parmesan which probably cost more than the bread, which spoiled it for me? Left a tip though as the staff made the place but won't go back.

I don’t really write reviews on here unless somewhere is really bad. However, I have tonight had the most amazing meal at Casa Nostra and want to tell as many people as possible how fantastic the food and service is. It is the first time I have been here and it definitely won’t be the last. It is the best place I have eaten out at in a very long time. We were a party of 8 and didn’t make our order easy for the waitress. They did everything to accommodate us (ie a couple of us wanted our meals without an ingredient in it). Our food came out all together and was hot, unlike some places you go to. All of the meals were so tasty and were large portions - we all went home very full & very happy. I definitely recommend a visit here!!

First visit and we were very impressed. Welcome service and food all top class. Everything clean and tidy..Good disabled toilet facilities. Had set menu. Extremely good value. Thank you..

2nd visit to this gem of a restaurant. We had a fabulous meal here to celebrate our 45th wedding anniversary, so good we went back with our eldest son and his fiance to celebrate their recent engagement. Son had rare sirloin steak, cooked just as he ordered, DIL to be had carbonara, husband had Linguine Polpette (spicy meatballs in pasta, I had linguine Salmone, all meals cooked to perfection. We each had a naughty dessert; biscoff cheesecake with ice cream, chocolate fudge cake with ice cream, tiramasu, and lemon sundae. I would say that the food is a tad overpriced generally, but as it is absolutely perfect, we didn't mind this. Cost was £117.60 for our meals and drinks. I didn't take photos this time as I felt a little self-conscious doing so as we sat quite central, but the food was presented very well, and staff were attentive. If I had to criticise at all, I would say the server could give a little more time between courses and also not to interrupt conversations. She, 3 times, interrupted us by saying "sorry" and continuing to speak. A little niggle but nothing major, maybe just some constructive criticism for future. All in all we were happy and would definitely recommend and return.

Superb food matched by the very attentive and polite staff. A young lady named Molly served us and was a credit to the restaurant. The food was very nice indeed and not overpriced. It was also nice to see that a bottle of bitter was on the drinks menu for once, rather than the usual standard issue lagers. The mains were delicious as were the sweets. We have frequented the Market Harborough branch on numerous occasion but thought Wigston was equally as good. We will definitely return.

What a wonderful evening we had. Excellent service with a waitress with a great sense of humour, really enjoyed the food especially as they took the trouble to cater easily with an allergy. Thank you for the extra touches for our anniversary and my husbands birthday. We shall definitely dine there again.

Me and my family came for my Grandads 80th birthday and grandparents wedding anniversary and had an absolutely wonderful time. The staff were amazing, so friendly, very quick service and had a good sense of humour. They also went above and beyond by providing a complementary bottle of wine & cheesecake desert accompanied by a happy birthday message on the plate which really put a smile on my grandads face. All the food was also amazing, so it’s definitely worth a visit!

Great restaurant with real tasty food. We had three courses, some of us on the deal and some from menu. All perfectly served, piping hot and faultless food. Good reasonably priced wine too. Great atmosphere and nice and busy. Recommended and we shall be back again.

Delicious authentic food with lovely attentive staff. The starter Nostra prawns are amazing and the fresh bread they come with is delicious. I asked for some changes to my main course and they were happy to accommodate, I love that because some places I’ve been to have refused. Will definitely be going back, wigston has been crying out for a decent restaurant and Casa Nostra fits the bill perfectly . Highly recommend for couples, families and groups.

Second time here and vastly improved by the acoustic panels that have been installed to cut down on sound reflections that made it feel like you were at a swimming baths. The staff are great. Very welcoming and make you feel at home and relaxed....
