Had such a lovely experience Fantastic atmosphere great music staff very welcoming candy shop waffle that I ordered looked and tasted amazing Well done to the cook and waiter Will definitely be back again

Absolutely awful from the food to the customer service, collected my order in person only to get home and find everything undercooked, called them and explained, only to be told “there’s nothing we can do, you have to email your complaint, but I will speak to the manager & call you back” No call back, so I returned the food in person, only for the so called chef to tell me the food wasn’t undercooked (see photo evidence) Apart from being generally rude and refusing new food or a refund, she called the manager, who also questioned my complaint and told me she had to look through the CCTV to ensure the food was cooked properly before she could issue the whooping £16 refund Shocking.. and guess what.. I emailed the manager last night.. and still no response!!

Hidden next to a pub this place was amazing. First the staff go out of their way to help. We were offered the Wi-Fi code even before we sat down to keep the little one entertained. The food is great sized for the money and the staff do their best to assist selections. They have a lovely accessible toilet as well. Both the waitresses on there today were in good humour and we really felt well looked after. While not local to there should we come back in the future will be sure to pop in.

Big choice of icecream and other lovely and fresh desserts and very lovely stuff. Constanta, the lovely young lady on duty today she knew all the ingredients the desserts are made of and helped me pick a plant based ice cream and fresh fruits topping. Very impressed with the attention and professionalism, freshness of the food.

Not all the order turned up and when I phoned Basically got told I am a lier as she pack the order and it was all there Now have a very up set 6 year old as it was the one he wanted that did not turn up

Just Eat made our order a terrible experience - however the staff were very helpful when we decided to go and do just eats job and collect it ourselves! Can’t fault the staff and problem was dealt with professionally

Order online via just eat and you will not get your order out , just eat will not open due t weak network in that location so you can't proof your order - Name , amount , order description is not enough for them to give food out. Ordered before for deliver was unhappy as took over 1h and was cold so this time ordered for collection with a surprise . Eating in before covid never had an issue and food was tasty.

The staff without gloves and napkins serves ice creamS. It was a very big surprise. Don't get me wrong, I love the sweetness of this place but it was just plain dirty.

The picture says it all, is this burger worth 13.50? This is a chicken burger, however, the beef burgers I ordered were in the same condition

I ordered via Uber Eats and only two thirds of my order arrived. On calling the restaurant they were no help at all and washed their hands of the issue. I can’t rate their food as I never got to eat it but their service is terrible.

ordered a delivery of waffles, cookie dough and cheese cake, a bag full of rubbish turned up cookie dough was a hard as a rock, waffles were a soggy mess in a box, the cheese cake was off the cream was discoloured the fruits on the top were dried out and the bottom of the carton it was thrown in was full of water. Phoned to sort it out got a fob off and I will get a manager to call...nothing as yet.

Rip off to put it simply. Ordered two lots of cookie dough and a waffle. The waffle was standard if a little soggy. The cookie dough was absolutely tiny and was essentially just a small supermarket cookie. When they're pretty much a tenner each its not worth it at all.

Great waffles and milk shakes. Very good and freshly made. Definitely recommend. As Arnie says, I’ll be back.

All drinks hot & cold, delicious ice cream & sundries. A seating area inside & outside that's lovely in the summer. Any ice cream & waffles you want just ask the staff.

Reasonable price , big portion. Will definitely visit again! Parking may be an issue , need to spend some time to look for car park around ( pay at meter).

I highy recommend the Carter's in grays and mum asked for a freebie it was so lovely and yummy. Thank you they were polite and asked if everything was ok and we said it was yummy and nice.

Enjoyed the freshly made Waffles, it was 20 minutes before closing the staff didn’t look too happy to serve but still took takeaway orders. Will return to try other treats on the menu

Been to Carters couple of times. Service is amazing. Desserts are veryyyyy filling. Location is fairly quiet. The atmosphere is lovely and calm.

Been here a few times since it’s opened trying something new each time. So far the waffles are the best fresh and yummy can create your own or pick one they have created. Will be back again great to have a desert place on our doorstep.

Got bored of High Street chains for coffee. Found Carter’s and wow. Clean trendy, food looks great and the icing look to be the ice cream. Check it out

The pancakes here are lovely and they do everything they can to accommodate your food choices. The icecreams are something I will definitely be going back for !

What a lovely little place. Been meaning to visit for a while and so glad we did. Delicious ice cream and waffles and so many different ones to choose from. Will definately be back to try more.Couldn't fault attention to hygiene, even menus were sanitised while we were there.

Took My Daughter here for a Treat, And Yes What a treat. She had a KitKat Sundae, I had a Brownie Freak shake, And al my god, they where both out of this world. Staff was Attentive. Atmosphere was good. Din't seem busy for a Saturday afternoon Though. Missed out on 5* as no parking. But as a Treat, Fantastic. Would Not like to guess how many Calories it was.

Visited with my husband and was wowed by the selection of sweet treats, delicious cakes, a great selection of icecream, crepes, a sweet lovers paradise, staff were happy, helpful and friendly, we throughly enjoyed the experience, and will definitely return

This is a great little desert place and the kids loved it. The staff were really friendly and tweaked the deserts to suit what the kids were after. Plenty on the menu to make you need more time to order. Really lovely little place

Sneaky treat took my son here the other day he had a crêpe that was huge with plenty of toppings. I had ice-cream and can highly recommend the maltesers flavour. Lovely evening pleasant staff

Positives Great deserts which are simply delicious Looks generally clean and tired and I believe they have a 5 star hygenie rating Negatives 1. Maybe have some low fat options or protein style deserts seen as people are more h3alth conscious now 2. Don't like the idea when you go to pay you and choose card payment you feel bullied into giving a tip as they screen literally asks you what percentage tip you wish to leave, which i think is wrong. The staff simply bring your food over and are paid a salary for this already. Why are we expected to pay 10-30% for them simply bringing our plates over . It just awkward when it comes to paying Other than that a great place with tasty desert

Visited this little establishment in Aril during he weekend of the exceptionally high temperatures.The staff were enthusiastic and friendly. they were nn pushy and aloud us to go through the menu at our own pace. They even explained what products contained nuts and which ones don'tI manageress Charlotte also came over to check that everything was alright and if we were happy with our order and service All told the Carters experience was fantastic and not too expensive on the household budgetWill be telling all my friends and family about this little nugget

A delightful Sunday morning coffee, crepe and shortbread breakfast. The food and presentation was superb, as was the service, professional and very friendly. It is a very inviting space and spotlessly clean. Great location. Will definitely visit again.Exactly what Grays needs, independent businesses. Great initiative, and wish Carters every success.

I’ve known about Carters since they opened having seen advertisements on Facebook. However this was the first time I remembered to pop in after passing as a reasonable time. There is a LA carpark around 30 seconds walk away, and is situated around 5 minutes stroll South past the rail station from the town centre. Around 1530hrs I thought would be peak, but it was deserted ;)The staff were both very friendly and helpful and helped my and my friend with our selection. Naturally the order arrived quickly and was delicious. The restaurant was clean, well decorated and well stocked. We will definitely return again. The nearest rivals are as far as Upminster, Basildon and Southend. Maybe the management should consider some more conventional advertising methods to boost business. Thanks guys

We asked the lady for a table for 4 and a half.There was 2 ladies ahead of us with a child but no other customers on a Friday night.We were seated by the door...as the nights are getting colder it might be an idea to have a heater by the door as our 3 children and husband were feeling cold.We ordered a chicken burger and goats cheese burger with fries and onion rings which was a 20 minute wait which was fine as it tasted fresh and delicious.We also ordered the Candy Shop Waffle and Caramel Shortbread waffle and Oreo Freak Shake and a sundae.The desserts were yum but if I had to choose between a freakshake or a shakeaway I would prefer a shakeaway even though the freakshake had a cake on top which was delicious. While we were waiting we did notice a spider on the table we were on...One of the ladies that worked there did ask how was the meals and the meals were lovely but service did take a long time.Probably would go there again but only when we have time to spend especially with 3 children...one at 18 months. If the service was faster it would definitely be more regularly.

Popped in here for a sweet dinner. There is a lovely choice of menu. I had pancakes and they were delicious. Hubby had an assortment of cake with ice cream. Don't come here if you are counting calories. Just come along and enjoy the indulgence.

Happy with the setup and layout . Attentive and helpful staff. Served a variety of desserts everyone would love.

Came on a Sunday evening as a treat and thoroughly enjoyed it . Staff really friendly and food was lovely would definitely recommend and will be returning often .

I have visited carters twice since it opened. Both times the food has been tasty and enjoyable. The restaurant has a nice decor and was clean. The only negative has been that the staff always seem a little lost with what's going on.

Came here on a Friday night and were seated straight away. The waitress was really friendly and the food arrived quickly. I ordered a waffle which was easily big enough to share but still at a cheap price and was tasty. Would definitely go back.

Lots of choice from waffle to crepe to sundae. Be creative design your own or pick from the range on the menu. Reasonable prices and polite staff. Allergy advice also available.

Upon entry into the premises the women who greeted us was warm and welcoming.She passed us on to her colleague to take us downstairs. This colleague left the menus on the table and did not show any enthusiasm about her job. She did not ask if we had any questions and took an order when we were ready. The treats were great. Some staff came across pretentious and not bothered which is a shame.Also as we were the only people downstairs we felt forgotten about on a few occasions.

Tried this new place out with a few friends. Customer service was not so great as they were very busy on that day (Friday). Our orders had to be adjusted a few times as they ran out of strawberries, but when the food came everything was very fresh and delicious. They gave us a few drinks on the house to make up for the strawberries. Will defo be going back with my family!

L'ho notato un sabato che siamo andati a prendere un po' di sole in Beach Riverside. Il giorno dopo, siamo andati a provarlo in famiglia. E' un locale che mi ricorda i nostri bar a Pescara, dove puoi prendere il gelato (buonissimo, per inciso) seduto, e trascorrere piacevoli momenti in compagnia. Lo staff è molto cordiale e i prezzi sono modici, Noi abbiamo ordinato un Big Brown Waffle, una Fanta (ce l'hanno portata in bottiglia di vetro) e un'acqua mineale (anche questa servita in bottiglia di vetro). All bambina, hanno offerto una coppetta di gelato che non ci hanno fatto pagare. Il totale, comunque, è venuto 10,95£. Gelato ottimo. Ho dovuto aspettare un po' per la cottura del waffle, ma ne è valsa la pena. E....lo consiglio, e sicuramente vi tornerò. Mancava un locale così, in zona! E' aperto 7 giorni su 7 dalle 8.00 alle 23.00

I visited here on Friday with my two children. The atmosphere and food was outstanding. The service was a little but slow with my son's dessert not being done with the rest of our party leading to them waiting 5 or so minutes, the staff was very apologetic.It was busy with many people sitting in and plenty of walk ins.I'm sure when they find there feet it will be a all round outstanding place to visit!Keep up the good work
