Imran was great and food was amazing.

VERY VERY SLOW SERVICE! Took us over a hour to receive our food and there were other tables that were waiting around too. Barely any workers here. Wait time wasn’t announced until we asked them. They told us it’s a long wait (we could have avoided this prior if told). Poor service! The waiters barely spoke to us or gave us a update

Came here on the weekend and I was firstly very impressed with the decor as soon as we walked in. The restaurant is very small so I recommend booking a table before coming. The food was delicious and portion sizes are decent (one rice was plenty for 2 people). I had a frozen lychee daiquiri which was really good too. It can get a bit loud in there from 9pm when the DJ starts which can make it hard to talk so bare that in mind. Would overall recommend and would return again.

Heard so much about this place and was looking forward to eating here. However the service was beyond a joke. We sat down and they took our drinks order. They didn't have half the drinks we wanted. I then asked the waiter for a bottle of water. We then ordered 4 king prawn puris to start. We asked for one of them extra extra hot. When it came, they were all the same. When we asked the waiter why the chef didn't do one of them hot. He just smiled and apologised. It seemed they got a king prawn and cut it into pieces and then served it to us. I paid £9 for 3 tiny pieces of prawn. Once we were almost done with the starters the waiter came rushing with a pot of green chillies. We ordered 4 main dishes, a garlic chilli naan, a garlic cheese naan and a keema naan. We got the food and only received a plain naan, 2 garlic naan's. When questioned why we didn't get the naan we requested he smiled again and was confused. At this point it was becoming a joke especially when asked for salt he came with a pot of salt (no salt shakers). I will be honest, the dish i ordered wasn't too bad but the others didn't enjoy theirs. We sat for a moment and then ordered a coconut dessert. We received a mango one. When questioned the waiter said its coconut with full confidence even though it was in a mango peel shell and tasted like mango. We called him over again and he said dont worry coconut and mango is the same. From what i can determine, this waiter must have been intoxicated. In 30 years of my life i have never experienced this kind of service. They only had 2 other tables so it wasn't even that busy. Also, being from the trade, it’s embarrassing that the staff are from my own country and they are providing this kind of service. Maybe it was a one off but certainly wouldn't go again, especially with those prices. Definitely not worth the money. It’s so dark, few LED lights and can barely see the person opposite let alone whats on my plate!

Had a poor experience, didnt have any of the commin soft drinks in stock. Flat coke drink and lemonade was flat too, immediately gave them back. Gave no lime even though we asked for it. Messed up our naan order. Messed up starter orders with the spice levels and when asked what happened we were told it was cooked like that for no reason. Ate in the dark, couldn’t see the colour of the food. My cereal bowl is bigger than the little pans the curry came in. Gave salt in a little chutney bowl as if there were no salt shakers in lakeside. Ordered a coconut desert but came out with a mango one and the waiter said it’s the same thing lol. Then gave an extra floater coffee to compensate for the mishap. The meet tasted old, just put in new masala and put in to serving bowls. The sag aloo tasted of gravy. Dansak tasted way too sweet. The floater coffee had more coffee than sugar, should have called it a mocha. Popodoms were fried in old oil. 2 king prawns cut in to 3-4 pieces for £9! Even after all of the mishap, didn’t have the decency to apologise or offer any discount. Basically the waiters who have no idea what they’re taking the orders of and the chefs just freelance it. Paying for a bit of LED and decor. And the prices ar e extortionate

We hosted a bridal shower at this restaurant and couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Despite arriving slightly late, the owner was incredibly understanding and reassuring, putting us at ease right away. His kindness and hospitality truly stood out—he even let us stay past closing time after lunch, which was so thoughtful. On top of that, he was funny and engaging, adding a warm, personal touch to our celebration. The atmosphere was lovely, with unique aesthetics that made the space feel special and inviting. The location was also very convenient. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I can’t recommend this place enough for any event or gathering. Thank you for making the day so memorable!

Highly recommend!!! I had my bridal shower here, a party of 10, and the staff were very catering to our needs, allowed my friends to set up early before I arrived and helped with the tidy up of our own stuff as we left. They allowed us to take our time and enjoy the party, even past closing hours for them. Decor is up to date and modern. Food was fantastic (we had the afternoon teas). Overall great experience and will defo be coming again to bring more family and friends in the future, definitely worth the trip!

I hosted my friends bridal shower at kushi, they were very helpful throughout the day and allowed us stay in past closing time, which me and my friends really appreciated! We ordered the afternoon tea, which was lovely.

Came here for a bridal shower meal and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Unfortunately our bride was running late and the owner was very gracious in pushing back the booking slightly for us. We ordered 10 Asian inspired afternoon teas with masala chai. From the savoury bites (bao buns, sushi, onion bhaji) down to the sweets (french toast, gulab jamun, biscuits and fruit selection) everything was delicious! They close between 15:00-17:00 but we overran slightly and the owner kindly let us stay longer to finish up. The service was unmatched from start to finish and I can’t recommend this place enough. We will definitely be back to try some other bits off the menu. Stunning decor inside with a really elegant yet cosy vibe. There’s ample parking round the back of the restaurant. I would definitely recommend for anyone in the area or for a nice meal after a lakeside trip.

Was extremely excited to visit this place due to social media exposure. However, very disappointed. A very cold greet upon arrival, no engagement or greeting when seated. Ordered a variety of starters which tasted bland and mediocre. A young waiter kept on scratching his hair… on two occasions he was using both hands by the bar area to do this. Completely put off my food, paid for the starters and left as soon as. Felt sick to the stomach. Only regret is that I didn’t question management at that time. I will avoid this place at all costs.

Great food, atmosphere, and service! I took my wife and little one, and we all thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The Butter Chicken Punjab was easily the highlight of the night—delicious—and the mojito was really nice too. What made the evening even more special was the exceptional service we received from Sharif. He went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed and was incredibly kind and thoughtful throughout. His amazing hospitality truly made our night unforgettable. Highly recommend this place and a big thank you to Sharif for making it such a memorable visit!

Worst experience we've had at a restaurant. Food was so bland no flavour whatsover, drinks were flat ( they gave us another which was nice but was replaced and was flat again ) also how can you make WATER taste bad. I'd rather eat in a run down place on ilford lane. We got a pomegrante raita, it was basically greek yoghurt with cucumbers. Did you see how I didnt mention pomegrante? Rice was mushy most of the food was untouched. Also the woman serving us...no words defo on something spilling our rice all over the gaff😭 also the portions were laughable. Only good thing is the aesthetics but wallahi dont be fooled its a joke. Avoid! go to that restaraunt/lounge down the road something like kara, passed it on the way home and was gutted at where we couldve acc gone today. Im actually not that kinda person to write reviews but this was bottom barrel😂

I have been to Kushi a few times now whilst working away. The food is really good and every meal I have had I’ve enjoyed.

What an amazing restaurant the food is unbelievable. The quality of the meat is the very best. I have never had food like this in any restaurant in Essex. It’s absolutely beautiful. Very authentic. The cocktails were beautiful absolutely perfect. The staff were also extremely polite and friendly and very helpful. I couldn’t recommend this restaurant enough an amazing environment with great music and brilliant atmosphere.

Me and my friend’s went on Saturday night, the atmosphere and the Dj was great . The decor was really pretty , I want to give a mention to Ruby the waitress she was very friendly and helpful and went out of her way to make sure we had an enjoyable night . Decor was really pretty, went with some friends yesterday. They do have free parking behind the restaurant. Tried the butter chicken with rice and garlic naan, amazing 👌🏼. Loved the lychee daiquiri and lemonade. Will definitely go again 😌

I am writing to share feedback regarding a recent visit to your establishment, which, unfortunately, did not meet the expectations set by my previous positive experience. Upon arrival, my partner and I were the first customers of the day, yet we were only offered a table in the corner of the empty restaurant. While we accepted the seating, it felt unusual that there was no option to choose or a welcoming gesture extended. Additionally, the initial interaction involved being asked, “Where are you from?” After I answered with ‘I’m from Essex’ he then asked ‘where are you really from though?’ which felt intrusive, uncomfortable and racist. We specifically came to enjoy a dish we had previously relished, but were informed it was unavailable but when we explained we had it before he agreed to serve it (The request was to remove the meat from the dish to cater to a vegetarian diet). While we were still deciding on our main courses and enjoying our starters, the waiter approached our table four times within a span of 15 minutes, pressuring us to place our order. Despite communicating that we needed more time whilst still eating our starters, the waiter responded by rolling his eyes and stating that he needed the table back within an hour, even though the restaurant remained largely empty. This created an uncomfortable dining experience. To add to the disappointment, one set of knives and forks was cleared prematurely when our food was served. I hope that this feedback is taken into consideration to improve the quality of service and overall guest experience. Your restaurant has great potential, and addressing these issues through enhanced staff training and customer service protocols will help ensure all guests feel welcomed and valued We believe the man who was extremely rude to be the owner/ manager called Sharif

Celebrated my birthday at Kushi, wonderful food, lovely staff and I got a birthday Cake even though we did not pre book ❤️ it was a Friday so was lucky to get a table then at 9 pm they had a Dj who was absolutely brilliant Mr Mention 🥳 we was here to very late, wonderful cocktails and free shots !!!! So me and my husband went to this restaurant yesterday and had a horrible experience there. We ordered a mix grilled platter which included seekh kebab, chicken tikka, chicken boti, beef kebab and lamb chops. So just to be sure we asked the waiter if it has all of these things 2 each in quantity in one single platter and he asked “are you people sharing?” To which we said yeah we do not eat alot so this should be fine. Then we ordered one pilau rice with it and we again asked for the serving so the waiter replied that it comes in a bowl and some people share it and some use full bowl per person, so we said we will order one bowl now and will see if we need more so we will order more at that time. After that we asked the serving time and he said it would take 20-25 mins and waited. Now when the food was served(it was a different man serving this time)we both got excited to see the platter sizzling so we started taking pictures and videos for instagram and the waiter went away. So we prepared ourselves to start eating and suddenly we realised that why have they served in two platters instead of one so we called the waiter who took the order just to confirm if this is single served in two sizzlers or are they actually two to which he said these are two because you ordered two to which we cleared that no we told you that we will share one and you even asked us that you both are sharing…we said no we asked you something else but you misunderstood maybe because the music is too loud but anyway since it was a misunderstanding so can you pls take one away as it is alot for two of us! He said no since it’s out of the kitchen, I can’t take it back and it is our restaurant policy that one main course per person so you had to order two dishes anyway to that we asked okay then if we can order some other dish instead? He said okay but these two will still stay on your bill. We said leave it as it is then. We started eating from one platter then thinking that we have to follow the policy and then it clicked our minds that this policy wasn’t mentioned anywhere on the menu neither the person taking the order informed before hand so we called them to show us the policy and the same person said ok I will bring it and then he didn’t come back, instead the man who served the order earlier came to us pretending to be the manager and asked us what has happened. We informed him everything and he went rude without listening the whole thing and in his rude tone, aggressively said you want one ok I will take away the other one like without asking us if you don’t want do you want me to take one away… I mean there are some ethics and professionalism. We asked for the bill then so he came with the bill showing some discretionary charges 12.5% in the bill. We inquired about these and he said this is service charge so we said we don’t want to pay these since these are optional but he started arguing that what’s wrong with the service ? We explained him that you people did mistake then didn’t correct it in the first place instead starting giving fake excuses like the restaurant policy and now you are telling us that there is no written policy and we forgot to mention while taking order. This is like looting money and bluffing your customers. But he was not accepting the mistake and insisted us to pay the service charges in any case. We did just to get rid of the situation but that was our right to opt that out and he pressurised us to not use our right. So very much unethical, unprofessional and disgusting staff. Never ever going back there! I can see there replies under good comments and ignoring the unsatisfactory comments from customers. Such places shouldn’t be existing at all in the uk. They are spoiling image of uk to the visitors.

Me and some friends went to the Halloween event over 30s night. Was such a fantastic night great food and atmosphere, will definitely return.

We had an amazing experience at Kushi. The food was served hot and fresh and was delicious! We had ordered the mixed grill, masala paneer and masala chips, tarka daal, garlic naan and rice! All of these items were cooked to perfection and the service was outstanding! - we felt so welcomed! The passion fruit mojito was refreshing. Parking is available behind the restaurant which is perfect. Ambience of the restaurant is very modern. Special thank you to Sharif for his amazing service, we will be back soon! We recommend to all to try this Bangladeshi restaurant out!

Bad experience not an indian style food

Used to be a regular customer here till the previous management started slacking with the food.service used to be slow. After the renovations i thought they would have improved. Food was so flavourless. I understand its not in a community where people like spice but you dnt need spice for the food to be flavourful. Food was so bland and the prices are just ridiculous. I hope they improve because its kind of the only halal restaurant around that area thats not burgers and turkish food and we do come up to lakeside a lot. Please talk to your chefs.

A great way to end a day of shopping at Lakeside! After a long day of shopping at the nearby shopping centre, my wife and I decided to head to Kushi for dinner. Our waitress was excellent and was very attentive throughout our meal. I ordered the lamb biryani and the chef was happy to swap my side for the daal. My wife ordered the Punjabi Butter Chicken with a plain naan. We also ordered a strawberry mojito and a mango lassi. The food came quickly. The butter chicken was lovely. Soft and tender pieces of chicken with a great sauce. The punjabi style meant that it had the added kick that's sometimes missing in a butter chicken. My lamb biryani was luscious. It was great on its own and great with the daal. The lamb used in the biryani was so tender. Even better still, they weren't shy with the amount of lamb in the biryani! The venue itself its is lovely and my wife loved the decor enough to tell me that we need to replicate it in our hallway at home. Overall, a great spot for dinner.

Was made to put down a reservation deposit. Turned up, told the waiter about the reservation. Had some overpriced food and the next day, was charged £20 for not attending. Contacted the restaraunt through message but no reply. Called and spoke to a hostess who said she didn't deal with that side of things and the boss would be in touch. He didn't, contacted restaraunt again and was told the same. Nobody bothered to get in touch and I'm out of pocket. Avoid at all costs!

I recently traveled from Manchester to celebrate my sister's birthday and chose this restaurant based on what we hoped would be a memorable meal. Unfortunately, it turned out to be memorable for all the wrong reasons. Upon arrival, the manager/owner eagerly recommended the chicken biryani, claiming it was their best dish and highly recommended. Trusting his advice, we decided to give it a try. Regrettably, it was the worst dish served. The chicken biryani was off, leading to one of us suffering from serious food poisoning later that evening. Such a lapse in food quality is unacceptable and concerning for any establishment. I opted for the lamb shakora, only to find it marred by an overwhelming use of lime pickle, which ruined the dish. The rest of our order was no better, lacking in flavor and quality. Additionally, we had hoped to enjoy some lamb chops, but they had run out. To add to our frustration, they were also out of Coke, which seemed rather unprofessional for a restaurant. Even more disappointing was discovering they didn't have mango lassi, despite it being listed on the menu. To make matters worse, the service was far from satisfactory. Despite being the only table in the restaurant, we found ourselves frequently having to help ourselves to cutlery and napkins. The staff seemed indifferent and inattentive, which only added to our disappointment. The food itself wasn't even worth finishing; we left most of it on our plates. In summary, our experience was far below expectations, with poor food quality, lackluster service, and limited menu availability. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Save yourself the trouble and dine elsewhere.

Lovely Sunday evening dinner, staff, service, food lovely. Beautifully decorated, food gorgeous flavours. Staff are very friendly and professional whilst being personable. If you like beef their KHALA BHUNA is delicious.

A bit disappointed. After reading good reviews i booked kushi for my birthday meal. On arrival i was excited by the modern design and decor but suprised that the restaurant was so small. The website advertised a DJ in the evening which we was looking forward to however this was just a playlist being played from the bar not an actual dj set up. The cocktails looked impressive and tasted great however the service for drinks was very slow and we were asked if we wanted more drinks before our last order had even arrived! After waiting over an hour for our food to come out it was presented lovely and the food tasted good, however the dishes were very spicy. One guest ordered a butter chicken as this is a mild dish and the menu meant no spice, however this come out rather hot and had to be sent back. Another guest struggled with the lamb bunha and ultimately found this inedible again not advertised as a particularly hot dish. This would be fine if you are a big lover of spice however some of our guests were not pleased with this.. Even paying the bill was a bit chaotic and the staff seemed to not know what was going on. The staff were lovely but seemed a bit overwhelmed and everything was a bit slow. I personally enjoyed my evening and food was lovely however i have regrets booking this for my birthday as several guests lefts disappointed and not too happy with the experience. This was embarrassing in my behalf as i arranged the evening.

So today I wasn’t well i live 5 minute away from the restaurant i decided to order delivery because i can’t move , this lots decided to send me the wrong food , i called up the girl working there she said its not my fault and she hangup on me she was so rude , i had to walk to the restaurant and wait another 30 minute to get the right food . I don’t recommend the place 0 professionalism and am really disappointed !!!

Great food, takeaway service can be hit and miss at busy periods.

Booked the afternoon tea as a large group and had the pleasure of being served by the loveliest team, in particular Piya. Piya went out of her way and got the kitchen to whip up a separate meal for the fussiest eater of the group! The masala tea and shemai were also our firm favourites. Thank you Piya and the team. Hope to visit again soon :)

Absolutely ridiculous I made a reservation online, got a confirmation. 40 mins before my booking I get a calling saying they can’t accommodate my seating as they don’t have space and have larger parties booked.

Atmosphere and vibe is good but that's it. Service is slow than usual. Not a great attitude of server seems like doing the job out of frustration.

This place is ELECTRIC. Don’t walk, RUN. My first outing with my newborn and the staff done everything for us to keep him comfortable. Place was busy and they still took extra care and attention. Service was amazing but food was somehow better. From starters to desert, we were mind blown. Flavours, presentation, temperature everything PERFECT. Highly recommend the Jaal chicken if you like spicy food & the butterfly prawns if you like seafood. They were phenomenal but every single dish was faultless.

Unfortunately, the service was very poor and extremely slow, we waited 1.5 hours for our mains and when we raised this issue, we were met with defensiveness. Initially we thought that the main waiter was friendly as he gave some starters on the house but as time went on due to the poor communication from the waiter, and the fact that we were left waiting and left to ourselves with no one checking in with us, our stance changed. We were told that apparently we should have asked for our mains and this is what the service is like for all restaurants despite being told that the mains was still being cooked when we had asked. We visited for a family birthday dinner but there was no apology for the time being ruined. In the end we had to ask for a takeaway and the overall bill was discounted as a way to remedy the situation but the overall attitude shown was truly terrible. The decor inside is nice but the restaurant itself is small so bare this in mind if you are taking a large group. The restaurant name translates to meaning "happy" - overall we were extremely disappointed and left unhappy with our visit. As a family we enjoy dining out so it is a shame we had a bad experience. We will not be visiting again as despite the food tasting nice, the overall experience of dining out was very disappointing. We visited here for the first time reading all the positive reviews but unfortunately our experience was otherwise. I am giving a 3 star rating for the food alone nothing else.

Myself, my family and many of my friends used to be a big fan of this place unfortunately not anymore. Delivery orders can take well over a hour and are consistently missing items. The portions of both mint sauce and onion could not be put in smaller containers. The onion you get with the popadoms is so unimaginative, other restaurants add coriander or tomato/cucumber but here it’s just chopped onion. Have also eaten in the restaurant several times and I’m afraid last time we visited it wasn’t a good experience, table nowhere near ready when we arrived so we had to stay in wine bar next door for another 30 mins. It’s now a challenge to get a cold beer as their fridges aren’t big enough to keep up with demand so they just bring out warm beer which no one wants tbh. I do hope things improve as this used to be a decent Indian. I will say that staff/management are always very understanding when you complain just wished they’d sort things out.

We went for afternoon tea and it was a complete disappointment. The chicken tikka in the bao buns and sushi were really bland. The dessert options literally were things you can buy from a sainsburys e.g. the puff pastry, Madeira cake. And who serves fruits in afternoon tea?! The vermicelli pudding was average. Only good thing was the mini kebab rolls and red chilli chutney. Service was good too. I wouldn’t recommend it especially if you’re looking for authentic south Asian food.

It was karaoke night at this new lively, chic Indian restaurant. The waiter (Raj I think) went out of his way to accommodate us. DJ’s friendly and helped to create warm atmosphere. The ideal place for my sisters 55th birthday meal. Buzzing atmosphere, lively music! Loved it!

We returned after the refurb and I have to say both the food and service was just as good as it was. The very nice lady managed to find us a table (had to pop to next door for 15mins @loungebaressex) for a beer just until the table was made ready for us. Kushi now have a full drink licence now - would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at KUSHI, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The service was absolutely amazing; the staff were attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. As for the food, it was nothing short of delicious! Each dish was bursting with authentic flavors and perfectly cooked to perfection. Whether you're a fan of traditional Indian cuisine or looking to try something new, KUSHI is definitely the place to be. I don't usually leave negative reviews, but I went to this restaurant for my husband's birthday with my 2 boys as the reviews looked so good. The place itself was nicely decorated and the ambience was nice, but then came the starters, all the food had no flavour at all and the lamb was so dry and tasteless and all I can say is we are so glad we did not order mains. We decided to settle the bill and go elsewhere for mains.

After seeing videos of Kushi all over social media, we had to try it. As fans of Japanese food and being Bangladeshi we love our own food too it was a no brainier. We ordered the chicken tikka bao buns, fried salmon tikka sushi, king prawn biryani, lamb dhansak and garlic truffle naan. We were recommended the fried sushi and truffle naan and so glad that we got them. The batter on the sushi was not too thick so you could still taste the actual sushi and the salmon was cooked perfectly- great for someone like me who usually does not like salmon. The truffle on the naan was not overpowering and is a must try. The butter chicken was phenomenal- the best I tasted, left me wanting more! King prawn biryani came with a mixed veg curry which was a nice surprise. Lamb dhansak was perfectly balanced and the lamb was nice and tender. They waited until it was Iftar time to serve our food which was very kind and everything was still hot. We loved the food and service so much that we came home and booked for afternoon tea for our wedding anniversary and also recommended to family and friends.

Great night, great DJ and good atmosphere

My first first experience at Kushi wasn't too great. We waited for the starter 50mins and it came very dry and over cooked. I ordered butter chicken, didn't taste butter at all. The starter and main came at the same time. Very disappointed. Mojito coctail was very nice and they have a dj playing on Saturday night.

Food was really tasty but it's everything else what would prevent me from coming back. Service was absolutely terrible. Booked for afternoon tea, when we asked to order some extras we was told they only had another set menu so we asked if we could order from that they said no! Wernt offered much drinks instead of refills on tea and we was charged for the tea at the end (paid without realising) but it was supposed to be included. We was given a coffee cup that was dirty, replaced the coffee and was told they would take it off the bill instead they charged double! When the afternoon tea come after an hour and 20 mins we asked what the sushi was we was told chicken tikka when it was infact salmon. We confirmed this with 3 different people and they still assured it was chicken - it was salmon! When the bill come They had charged us £40 more than they should have done. Overall poor experience which is a shame cos the way it has been done up is lovely and the food was tasty but the service and lack of knowledge from the staff made it a 1!

Very beautiful atmosphere, definitely worth a visit, the drinks are absolutely amazing and the food is delicious!!!! There are a range of drinks, from coffee to cocktails and soft drinks. Shisha is a cherry on top. Prices are fair.

Me and my friend visited Kushi for the afternoon. The food was lovely and not too filling. Owner of the restaurant was very friendly and welcoming. Can’t wait to visit again to try something else from their menu.

Family run restaurant. Brilliant night out with great atmosphere, a whole vibe! Food was A1 along with service and ambience. Couldn’t fault it in the slightest. Only down side is my clothes had a really strong smell like I was in the kitchen with the chef. Was in their on Valentine’s Day and my coat still had the odor. I’ve tried airing it out but think it needs a trip to the dry cleaners

Food very good. Service very slow felt like regulars where given better service. Reason being another table was served with menus even though we had been seated 10 minutes earlier. No need for a DJ in such small surroundings as it made it difficult to have a conversation with others on our table

Not great to be honest. The food was very average and you could tell had been re-heated and not freshly cooked. The pilau rice wasn’t fluffy as it should be but rather clumped together as to tell it had been re-heated. Chicken was quite dry but had nice flavours. Was charged for a bottle of water although I was only given a glass of water which was very clearly tap water and no bottle was given as they would usually do in restaurants. Towards the end my partner asked for another drink, this was forgotten about but as we were getting ready to leave we didn’t bother asking reminding them 20 mins later, but this was added to the bill anyway. On a positive, the starters were very nice and the staff are very polite and friendly. I just can’t see this being the award winning restaurant they claim to be so will not be returning which is a shame as I hoped it would be my new local Indian.

This place is a hidden GEM! Every aspect of our trip was fantastic. The food was so tasty and authentic. The service was fantastic, and vibes unmatched. The decor, lighting and mellow music created a beautiful atmosphere that complemented the food perfectly. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

First time visiting Khushi Lakeside since refurbishment. What a lovely atmosphere, especially on a Tuesday night. Food was tasty and well presented. Great value for money. Fantastic now they are licensed to provide alcohol. I would recommend this restaurant.

I drove over an hour to get to Kushi Lakeside and it was worth every mile. Raaj, Himel and Ellie were amazing. The best service. I thoroughly enjoyed the food and the aesthetics were stunning. A great and intimate dining spot that I will be recommending to everyone!

So Kushi has always been our go to Indian. It has always been outstanding, and we are truly lucky to have them on our doorstep. However...... Since the Refit and reopening they have managed to take it to another level. I didn't think they could better it, but they have. Breathtaking Decor. Comfortable seating and exceptional food and service. This is a unique dining experience. The cuisine is up to date and totally delicious. The strawberry Daquari I ordered was absolutely amazing one of the nicest cocktails I have tasted. Honestly got to be the BEST Indian in Essex bar none. Weekends they have entertainment and a late licence so great for a night out with friends etc..... Book a table you will not be diappointed. TO KUSHI, well done. You've taken your, already outstanding quality, and made it exceptional.

This is our third visit to the restaurant and I say it’s lovely. 😊 The food is very tasty. We had excellent service from Nash, who was a perfect and friendly host, remembering us on each occasion, and Himal, who kindly changed the music 🎶 for something a little more romantic. We are addicted to the Bombay bombs, 💣 with their many different flavours, with the additional adventure of filling them without smashing them to bits! We had a lovely evening 😋

The food was average it needed more flavor the lamb biryani was dry and needed salt. It was served with vegetables curry There was no mint sauce or chutney to go with the starters. The starters were better but still needed more flavor was Colehurst into getting chicken tikka sushi it wasn’t something we wanted but that was taken off the bill. think it caters to more of a mild palette less spices ect. The naan was nice and coconuts rice was good. The interior was decorated really nice.

It came with an extra masala, which was delightful. The Lamb just fell off the bone too. It was a true showstopper. It is both indulgent and comforting. Last but not least, the Chicken Biryani was cooked perfectly with a burst of flavors. In conclusion, this multi award-winning restaurant truly lives up to its reputation. Each dish was faultless and is a testament to the skill and creativity of the chefs. Whether you are a fan of Bangladeshi/Indian cuisine or simply looking for a unique dining experience, this restaurant is a must-visit.

Came with the family to the reopened and recently refurbished Kushi restaurant in Chafford Hundred. There were lots of attentive staff on hand ready to serve in from the moment we walked in until the moment we left. The new decor is classy and looks great. The food itself is top notch- we had a number of dishes including butter chicken, monkfish, sushi and more. Really pleased with quality and presentation. Credit to the owners- Kushi is a gem in Chafford Hundred and right beside the station too for anyone visiting from London or Essex. Thank you!
