Food and service is amazing. Delicious food each time I have been and the staff are friendly and helpful. Thank you to the lovely Irish gentleman that served us today, had great helpful advice for a friend who is potentially gluten free and had great banter with us all. Restaurant come highly recommend

Great restaurant in Wrexham, massive portion sizes so bring an appetite. Very friendly and attentive service, would recommend booking if you are in for the football.

Went there for Sunday dinner. Had to leave as they were firing up a gas space heater a foot from me and claiming that was perfectly safe as it was in his risk assessment. I can assure you all that using that appliance in such an enclosed unventilated space is highly dangerous and they are lucky that they are not closed down and sued for giving people carbon monoxide poisoning .If you have been there and left with tingling lips you were most likely poisoned. Manager should be retrained as something more in line with his manners maybe something that didn’t involve the public or making health and safety decisions. Wish I could score them less but one star is the lowest.

Only marked down one star on atmosphere as I went early on a Friday lunchtime. Service was excellent and food great (the head chef let me try a dish they were creating to go on the menu for the following week menu change!). Will definitely be going back, if only to add to my wine cork collection!!

Steak night offer for £16.00 fabulous value for money that includes a drink. Staff are always friendly here. Only downside on that night was there was no lager or cider available as they had had to supply it to their other restaurant in the group.

Definitely will return again after an lovely birthday experience for my son . Especially when my error in booking the wrong steakhouse on line due to the other one having a similar name and website and miles away from Wrexham and at such short notice for 7 of us to descend upon the already busy staff. A truly wonderful experience.

We had a table booked for tonight and paid a deposit however it was closed and we were not notified

Hate giving low reviews of places but ordered steak with peppercorn sauce and a side of onion rings.. Peppercorn sauces never arrived and the onion rings I wanted to dip into the sauce arrived after we had finished the edible part of the steak.. front of house was faultless and I tipped on the back of that. Didn't complain in venue because no management and that's probably the issue

The service was slow considering they weren't over busy Food quality was lovely but it was cold. The roast dinner platters were delivered to the table before we had any plates, we had to ask for the plates so while we waited the food was barely warm. We then had to ask for the gravy, but once it arrived we had to send it back to be reheated. Disappointed as it was a birthday celebration

Staff was very friendly and accommodating to fit us in for an early dinner on a busy Saturday match day. Food was great with plenty of options. Price was very reasonable for the quality and amount of food.

Really good environment, good and fast service. Food was really good apart from the fact I quite possibly got food poising hence feeling ill after it and ended up being ill a couple days later. I've been there before with no issues so I assume it was a 1 time thing. I'd definitely recommend going there though.

Best to reserve a table. CarniBoar is a busy place for a very good reason. The food is excellent 👌. The staff are welcoming and efficient. Highly recommended by yours truly.

I always come to the CarniBoar when I come to Wrexham. The food is incredible; I’ve never had a bad steak and the sides are to die for. This time, I had a 12 oz sirloin, peppercorn sauce, with the cheesy potatoes instead of fries - amazing cut of meat, well marbled, and the potatoes were smooth and creamy. The locals are always the most generous people to talk to and they are always so proud of their gem of a town! FYI - the surf and turf option may be the most food I’ve ever seen that hasn’t been on, “Man vs Food”! My wife and adult daughter ordered it and barely made a dent! Another one of Wrexham’s best places to dine!

Me and my boyfriend went to the Carniboar this evening for his birthday and we honestly couldn’t have asked for more. We had the Steak phat platter to share and it was undoubtedly the best steak and brisket I have ever tried. Couldn’t have asked for better service, all workers were very inviting and made sure we were comfortable throughout our whole meal. 5 stars, will absolutely be going there again!!

My friends and I had a great boozy brunch here. Staff were friendly and helpful. Atmosphere was great. Food was absolutely lovley as was the alcohol!! I would definitely recommend and will be coming again.

We decided to visit because the pun was good. The person who checked us into the hotel said the food was also very good. He was right. We ended up with some fantastic steaks and burgers, and our biggest regret was that we didn't have any room to even contemplate the desserts; we were assured this is a common complaint. If you're in the mood for some good food, please give this place a try.

We absolutely LOVED CarniBoar! We stopped in for an early dinner on Sunday after the Wrexham AFC match and were so glad that we did. We both ordered a lighter version of the Sunday special and it was AMAZING! The service was outstanding! From the moment we entered, the staff were friendly and attentive. They even went out of their way to source ingredients to make a specialty cocktail for me. Wow! The atmosphere was quaint and cozy - a nice way to spend an early evening in Wrexham. We are DEFINITELY going to CarniBoar again the next time we're in town.

Perfect for met lovers! The surf and turf was really good. Smash burgers are great too! Huge portions so go hungry! Well priced overall. Service was slightly slow at times despite not being overly busy that is my only criticism.

We had a fantastic meal out at Caniboar Wrexham last night. The food was excellent. Great size portions. Almost too big!! The wait staff were so friendly and recommended a great dish for us. Thanks to Richard and his team for the great hospitality. We will be back!!

Burger was ridiculously dry and ice cream tasted of powder. When we queried that we were told it was due to the bicarbonate of soda in it!! Very disappointed and won’t be returning

This is our new favourite place to eat. Come here before a Saturday Wrexham match and food second to none and excellent value. Decided to come Sunday and just had the best Sunday lunch we have ever! Visited Carniboar twice in the past six months, each time absolutely impeccable. One of the best places to eat in Wrexham - food is stunning , service friendly and helpful without being overbearing. First visit I had the Asian brisket - delectable meat, with an intriguing flavour combination which I really enjoyed. On my second, I went for the "surf n turf" - initially I was a bit wary at the price (£28 if memory serves) but it was worth this and more. Fries, steak cooked to your liking and huge, juicy garlic prawns to top it off. All of this combined with peppers,onions and a beautiful chimichurri sauce. I've been daydreaming about this meal since eating it and can't wait to return. A note as well that the fish and vegetarian options were equally delicious according to my friend - something to suit everyone here. Top quality.

We booked a family birthday meal for 22 people here on a Wednesday night during the Christmas period and everything was superb. From pre-ordering our food to the delivery of the food on the night. All 22 meals were delivered on time, exactly as cooked and piping hot within 5-10 mins. The staff were helpful and friendly without being over bearing, they were happy for us to serve the birthday cake (even offered to cut and serve it for us!) and make some recommendations that were delicious. Overall a perfect experience, food was superb, service was top notch and atmosphere was exactly what we hoped for! Highly recommended

Great food , best steak I’ve had ages.

Nice food and good service - but I hate when they automatically add a service charge to your bill! I would have left a tip anyway but I don't like being told how much to leave. I know I could have asked for it to be removed but I wouldn't have felt comfortable doing so.

This was our 1st visit and we were so looking forward to it. When they fetched the food the presentation was really good... My food was ok as i had the Salt&Pepper Surf & Turf. My wife had Steak which to be honest was very thin and was hard/rubbery wasnt cooked correctly as it looked greyish in the middle when she cut it. Expected better really Very disappointing considering our bill inc drinks was £100. It was on a Sunday and most diners seemed to be having the Sunday dinner sharing platter, which to be honest we wish we had instead.

not only the best meal I've had in Wrexham, Carniboar also has one of the best burger menus I've ever seen. Staff are very welcoming, Thursday evening was Burger night. £15 for burger, fries and a drink. worth every penny 😋 absolutely delicious food, great atmosphere with good music at a good volume. Definitely returning for more and recommending to others!

Was a lovely quiet location for my meal. Good polite service with no pushing for add ons for the meal. Feel sorry that there were a number of no shows on the day but still didn't spoil the meal.

Went early evening on a Saturday. Busy but not horrendous. Staff amazing,very helpful without being intrusive. Food superb,I had the surf and turf and struggled to get through it. Managed a pudding but don't think I could of managed 3 courses. Blown away,very impressive and we'll be back....herself wants to try the Sunday dinner🙈

I am now 53 and have been eating burgers since I was about 17 .. the double steak burger has to rank in my top 5 best burgers EVER... So so tasty. And the truffle and parmesan fries were perfect.

Fabulous food and service. I had the Steak Club offer which was a beautiful tender fillet steak, grilled beefsteak tomato, mushrooms,pepper sauce, battered onion rings, chips and a bowl of mac'n'cheese all for £20!!! Amazing value and everything was cooked to perfection. I would definitely recommend this restaurant

Had a fabulous meal on Sunday.. fillet steak was incredible...and my friend who had the gammon was excellent..Ruth and her staff looked after us throughout the evening...excellent service...highly recommend.

100% recommend the Carniboar. We ordered the 2 meat sharing platter for 2 at £20 a head and large glasses of Malbec. You can choose between steak, belly pork, chicken, brisket or gammon. A 3 meat choice is £25 a head. It came with daupinoise potatoes, plenty of vegetables and a generous jug each of gorgeous gravy We will definitely be returning

It's been quiet when we have visited but staff are attentive. Food is very good. We had a sharing steak platter, which works out about £70 for two but its great quality and very tasty. 😃

Superb food aand good value, I had the chicken burger with haloumi to start, my partner had the steak with a spring roll starter. Very pleasant staff and a nice place to be, easy five stars

The food looked lovely, but was rather disappointing. The sirloin steak was not tender and had a lot of gristle. It was more like rump and not sirloin, which should melt in the mouth. (The waitress said that the chef had said “the packaging said sirloin”!!!) The ‘hand cut chips’ were quite obviously not as stated. The beef dripping sauce was more like a gravy. Having eaten at another popular steakhouse, and at a similar price, the experience was disappointing.

Went here with family. All of us had a steak which were cooked perfectly (all medium rare). Staff are very pleasant and the service was excellent.

The staff and new manager were very pleasant and professional and treat us all very well. Must say the food was absolutely top class. I will definitely be coming back again. Big up to the chef and the whole team. Great service and food.

Had a ribeye steak very dry and tuff I heard good reviews about the steak's sorry very poor but on the plus side the staff are Great.

Food is superb. My only criticism is that the resteraunt feels a little cramped. Otherwise, very good I will be back!

We visited Carniboar last night and had a fantastic experience. We were met by very nice staff, the 3 courses of food we had were fantastic, the chocolate brownie was truly amazing! I could’ve eaten it all night. Lol. I’d highly recommend a visit to Carniboar!

I have an allergy and Ella was very understanding and helped me choose, in conjunction with the chef, the pork tomahawk. I was not disappointed! The pudding was delicious and overall, especially Ella, we were very well looked after. Unfortunately we live 6/7 hours away!

Tried this restaurant for the first after loving their sister restaurant (The Fat boar) & honestly cannot fault! The steak was delicious & the staff were so friendly and happy to help - I can't wait to come back again!

Nice place and ambience, the plate was just fine thought. Had a platter with a mix of things and the beef and lamb was the best, the rest was a bit of filling. The wine really good, went for a french rose. The staff was lovely and super helpful. Not my first choice to repeat around the area but worth thinking about it.

Really grateful that they could accommodate my wife and I last night for our anniversary meal. I left it really late to enquire about the table and they were really helpful and managed to squeeze us in. The food was excellent, especially the steaks we had and the service was second to none, always checking in with us that all was ok with our experience. I would highly recommend to anyone to give this restaurant a try
