Carluccio's in Hillingdon

Breakfast after shopping- child size portions on a Child size plate. Not worth £6 (without drinks)- only redeeming feature the decent sausage. Bacon streaky rashers and not nice, two overs of toast and an egg. Pathetic really. Morrisons and Tesco offer far better for same price or support local business. Staff polite and friendly/ not busy but that possible reflects the waiting of food and value for money.won’t return soon.

Food - First tried to order a toastie but they had no bread (even though they were inside Sainsburys). We ordered one scampi meal and one fish meal. The plates were strangely small with that psychology to make you think you are eating more but the smallish portions were actually ok, so I guessed it worked. We ordered a cappuccino and chai latte as well, which also tasted ok, hence the rating. Unfortunately, what left the place down was the lazy attitude of the server. We were the only ones ordering at that time and the food order goes straight to the kitchen. Somebody came from inside and all she did was stand there talking, laughing and joking. Another customer came and ordered a takeaway drink which she made immediately. She seemed to be flirting with him. A guy came from inside, so I asked him to prepare our drinks and explained we had been waiting longer. He apologised but I said it should be her, not him. She then laughed about it. By the time the drinks came, we almost finished our food and it was 20 minutes (always keep the receipt for such things). The management should send this lazy girl on customer service classes or fire her as it is not good for business. Would I eat there again - NO. Would I recommend it - NO.

We thought you can't go wrong with a Carluccio's restaurant. How wrong were we! They ran out of the kind of pasta for the dish I ordered and when the waiter came to tell me he asked if I would accept penne instead. The menu advised it was penne so I was confused. I then witnessed a very angry manager shouting at the waiter. Quite frankly it was totally unnecessary and it really doesn't matter what kind of pasta it is. We then waited for about 30mins for our food. It was tasteless and I wouldn't recommend eating here.

I was surprised - always have wanted to try Carluccios and did yesterday whilst waiting for my flight. Service was attentive (yet not in your face) and the food was great - drinks were well priced too! I have a large concern that when you are "imprisoned" in an airport terminal they outlets have you and can charge whatever they want (to ridiculous levels) Carluccios clearly do not :)

I travel at least monthly from T5 and this used to be a favourite haunt (big shout out to Pradeep who used to work here). Food was consistently good, service friendly and prompt. Over the past year the place has gone downhill. The meal i had last sunday was really the last straw. Tasteless, small portions and i swear the pasta al fungi came out without any sauce. The mushrooms tasted and looked as if they had been boiled for half an hour. I left feedback with carluccio's through their own website on sunday night. Still to get a reply 5 days later...

I'm normally averse to using chain / corporate restaurants but of course at airports you have no choice but in my estimation you'd struggle to find a tastier brunch than their traditional breakfast with eggs on toast, mushrooms, bacon, sausage, tomatoes, and roast potato - couple that with proper coffee - excellent

We have visited Carluccio's at T5 regularly for years. Food, quality and service wise it is very good for breakfast, lunch or dinner. HOWEVER, I just found out that as on January 2020 the staff will ONLY receive 15% of any tip paid by credit card. This, in my opinion is unacceptable. Manager I look forward to hear how you can justify TAKING 85% of the staff tips?. From now please leave only Cash tips everyone. Otherwise you are just paying more money for your food. I will no longer give card tips.

One of the best quality breakfasts I have had in an airport. Good variety of dishes, and good flavors. Recommended.

Slow service and average food to an airport price. But then, they are the only restaurant in Terminal 5. Great that kids eat for free.

Classico ristorante appartenente ad una delle molte catene di ristoranti pseudo italiani che si trovano in giro per il mondo. Carliccio's, ad onor del vero, è forse meno peggio di molte altre, ma in ogni caso propone cucina italiana distante anni luce da quella che si trova in Italia. Comunque agli stranieri va bene. Ancor di più se a fine pasto possono ordinare il cappuccino. Contenti loro… In definitiva, un locale "d'emergenza" (almeno per noi italiani) dove potere mangiare prima di partire o appena arrivati. Servizio mediocre, prezzi nella media (per il Regno Unito e per un aeroporto).

I had lunch here with my family before they had to catch their flight back home. We had a pretty good meal overall, however at the end there was a moment that has left me with some bitter aftertaste. At the time of paying the bill, we were in a bit of a rush and hadn’t realised that the bill didn’t include a 12.5% service charge as most places do, so I chose not to leave a tip. After I realised that, it was too late and we didn’t have any cash with us. We thought to quickly withdraw some money, however the waiter was visibly upset by us not leaving a tip and stormed off. I really didn’t like this attitude, especially because I do not like to feel bad if I do not leave a tip, whatever the reason may be. This time was an honest mistake and I would have found some cash to hand over to him if only he hadn’t stormed off like that. I have worked as waitress for quite some time in London and never made a customer feel bad for not leaving a tip, as that’s up to them. Thanks

My son was leaving to go on a trip and as I was dropping him off I decided to pop in and have a farewell dinner. The restaurant (which is landslide before you go through security) offers the usual Carluccio’s fare which was very enjoyable. Prompt service and the food was tasty. Not a bad way to start a trip and was not outrageous pricing which you always fear at an airport.

A special thank you to waitress Silvie who was very friendly, professional and showing a high attention to detail. She made sure I was being looked after. This is just as important as the quality of the food. My 5 * rating is because of Silvie’s professionalism. Andreas

Had a lovely meal here. We always enjoy Carluccios at Newcastle and this one is of similar quality. Pastas were excellent and not too expensive.

Have always eaten in Carluccios Terminal 5 for last few years as I fly out of heathrow atleast once a month. I have had great service in the past from Pradeep, Miroslav, Carla, Silvie and Miroslav. However in last few months the new staff are clearly struggling and not as professional as before. The service on my last visit was sloppy and poor. The food is bland and over cooked. Really disappointing with a Restaurant that was once my favourite to eat in, now I’d rather grab a sandwich from Costa or Pret

Went to carluccios for my quick dinner waited for 10 mins to take order and my waiter Turned up and answered rude to my questions didn’t like the attitude of the Eastern European waiter apart from From that food was excellent very neat and clean place amazing interiors.

Fantastic, fresh food (Avocado smash with poached eggs and sourdough bread). Coffee (black americano) was amazing also, honestly the best airport food I’ve ever had. Service was fast and friendly. I would definitely recommend this place.

The Carluccio’s at Heathrow is one of the places with the best coffee that I know of. Always a pleasure to get some coffee and a snack there. Staff super friendly and professional. I can recommend it without any reservation.

Came to airport to drop off my friend. Was hungry and thought have some meal to refreh myself. Ordered foccacia bread with balsamic olive oil, some olive sand chicken melanesa sandwich. The worst sandwich I had in my life. Chicken was over cooked in the sandwich that I couldn't able to bite.

We came for dinner last night. Not a place that we could come back. Sorry for the bad review Carluccio's. The waiter is rude, slow, and don't look like he is interested in serving the customer. Don't matter if there's disruption at the airport but you are working in hospitality? If you hate people maybe this job is not for you. Management should take this seriously or they will lose their customer.

It was busy but i got a table very quickly. Got really good recommendation on wines and food was delicious..Pradeep looked after me Friendly service!!

Due to a canceled flight we ended up staying a couple nights in a hotel connected to Terminal 5... best part, hand’s down, Carluccio’s!!!

We been to Carluccio's many times. High street and airport restaurant.Each of them bring different style of service and menus is varies. My family and I have our tradition getaway dinner before we fly. This is our favourite place to seat meet with everyone and enjoy our meals. Dinner last night was deliciously tasty. The wait staff Patrycja was amazing. We came at about 6.30pm where the restaurant pretty much busy. Everyone's were happy and stress free. The teams been managed well and restaurant looks fabulous. Thank you Carluccio's Terminal 5. It's hard work but keep it going guys. From all of us Maura Lawrence and family's.

Quick lunch before a flight and all good! Food arrived quickly, waitress was really good. Therefore a good place preflight!

Needed a quickish evening meal the other night. It was disappointing on this occasion. Staff felt bored and disinterested, while the food was below par. Had carbonara but it was too greasy and lacked a pleasant taste. Probably overlooked bacon bits. All in all on this occasion not worth the money. Perhaps an off day?

I went to eat with some friends in this restaurant that has nothing Italian about it. Cute place, water brought to the end of the lunch taken from the tap, high prices even for a simple sandwich, money taken from a wallet. Dirty place.

The staff ensured we had the seats we wished for, took no time to take the orders and provide the food. Some items not available but there was a good selection nonetheless. Good ambience, good food, served promptly and not over-priced for an airport.

We stopped here before our flight and had the most wonderful breakfast. Even though our waitress was on her own serving a very busy restaurant she did an exceptional job. Did not get rattled and was very professional and polite! We were amazed how efficient she was! Her name is Paulina and her bosses should be very that they have such a wonderful staff member. I hope they appreciate her hard work! I had the vegetarian and my husband had eggs Royale and both had cappuccinos, all in all exceptional.

We stopped before our flight for a coffee. We could not resist temptation and had lemon tarts also...fresh and tasty exactly what we needed. Service great and staff very friendly :)

We have always eaten here when travelling from this terminal. We were amazed to see the restaurant nearly empty and when asked to be seated we were informed no hot food as the kitchen was “ broken”???

Very good Italian restaurant at the airport before your flight. Good because it is before security, then, everyone can eat. Busy restaurant and few options in the menu. But good food.

Good meal at T5 before going through security, Carluccios is always a reliable place fir well prepared food. Just a shame there is y one the other side once we’re past security !

We had a layover with 4 hours before we could check in, so we decided to have a nice sit down meal. It’s spacious, clean and wasn’t busy. The food was much better than we expected for an airport restaurant. The seafood linguine was very good with a rich tomato sauce and plenty of well cooked seafood. We had 2 mains and 2 drinks and it came to about £50 so not the cheapest but definitely good quality.

The food was extremely good for the price and the fact it was in a hotel. Please see my review for the lovely Wiola and her service. Keep it up folks!

Food is okay and wine was served without having a chance to taste before. Nothing much to say. I was expecting more for being an Italian one.

This place is outside the security area after ticketing. . Spacious , clean with good service. Excellent menu for Italian. Seasonal pasta is Clams with linguini ( small Italian clams with pasta a bit over cooked , taste good ) , the salad is fresh. In and out in 30 minute A good experience

Had a light meal before going through passport control and security at Terminal 5.

Popped in for a quick meal before a flight. The service was slow, the waitress inept. Completely inattentive the whole time. Forgot orders. When the food did arrive it was bland and forgettable. The floor round the table was still messy from previous customers. Ended the evening with the lazy waitress leaning over the table to clear plates rather than taking a few steps round to the other side and dousing me in balsamic oil. Not recommended.

There’s a choice of eateries in T5 pre-security & airside. We have always enjoyed the food at our local Carluccio's so it wasn't a difficult decision to have dinner here - and it was very good. Friendly & efficient service. When we realised that they also serve breakfast, we decided to return in the morning. Our breakfast order arrived, with one breakfast spot-on but the other wasn’t hot so back it went – all very well handled by the waitress, who was very apologetic, no quibbles - and a freshly-cooked plateful arrived very soon afterwards. Lovely second time around, perfectly cooked, hot and tasty. Full marks.

Easily the stand out restaurant at Heathrow airport. The atmosphere is relaxing for all customers, be it airport staff or customers flying out .

This place is recommended to take dish or two before going to a gate. Excellent service and tasty food (as usual in Carluccios).

A couple of days ago I visited the restaurant with my husband and kids since we had a few hours between our flights.

Had some British pounds to spend and spent them here before flying home to India. The ossobuco was great. The salad and calamari so-so. The service was odd - almost like they didn’t see me. Still a relaxing place before a long fight and the ossobuco was amazing.

I think I would have given this a 4 had it been outwith the airport, but for a meal in an airport terminal, our experience was outstanding and the value is amazing. We both had the same - antipasti plate to start and then Chicken Milanese for main course. This was from the set menu, which was about £15-£16 for two courses! Service was really good and the atmosphere is nice. It's an interesting place to people watch as Terminal 5 starts to wind down in the evening. We were staying at the Sofitel adjoining T5 and this was a very convenient place to eat as we were not desperately inspired by the options within the hotel.

The location in the departures hall in T5 is great if you have time to kill before meeting passengers or going through to departures. The ambience on the restaurant is actually ok especially when you consider the blandness of its location. All the staff we spoke with were foreign which isn’t a problem but there was one that could have done with a lesson in customer service as she was quite curt. Price wise it won’t break the bank but it is expensive however I would imagine being in the airport does incur higher costs. We started with Bruchetto which if I remember correctly cost more than £5 and for the main course I had Carbonara and my colleague had lasagne. Unfortunately I had to return my carbonara as it was cold but I noticed it was simply microwaved. Staff seemed uninterested when I mentioned the food issue and I waited a further 8 minutes for it to come back by which time my colleague had almost finished. May be I was just unlucky but from this 1st experience (last week) I doubt I would return again.

Our waiter Miroslav was attentive, quick and friendly. We could not have asked for better service. Thank you Carluccios!

Great breakfast! We tried the vegetarian english breakfast, a polenta cake and a plain croissant with butter and a delicious jam: everything was absolutely fantastic. The staff was kind and helpful.

Was not very busy, no greeting when entered, was just told to sit anywhere.

Ten of us had a fantastic breaky this morning before our flight & Karolina catered to our every need & was such a lovely smiley face which made our breakfast so amaizng!! Will definitely be back on our next trip!!

I ate here while waiting on a flight. The service was prompt and friendly and the food came out really quickly. I had the Pasta e Fagioli soup as an appetizer and it was great. As my main course, I had the Lamb Rigatoni Pasta and this was not good. The meat was super fatty - I do not recommend this dish. I'd be willing to eat here again and give a couple other dishes a try.

before we departed back home, we went for fast coffees and croissants. it was good enough i have to say it was not so busy, we were served nice way too. i think it is a chain, nice food mauybe we will try it next time we are able to visit.

Today I briefly stopped at this new place at T5. Very nice. It looked clean and fine. I ordered a cappuccino and a croissant. All ok and well tasting. Good service.

The area of Heathrow airport notoriously lacks good restaurants, so if you want to eat a decent meal you must enter a terminal. On the landside of Terminal 5 - i.e. before security and therefore accessible to the non travelling public - Carluccio's is a good option. Even if it does not achieve the quality level of its town counterparts, the food is more than adequate, the service is kind and prompt, and the price is very reasonable. I had lemon & chicken risotto and was happy with it. To be kept in mind.

Pasta came cold then asked to bring a new one and just microwaved seabass came frazzled manager was rude and disrespectful

Eat great food at the airport terminal? Yes, we did! This restaurant had the tastiest meals, well prepared and presented. Being gluten free, I was wary about what I could eat. They had pastas made of chickpeas and buckwheat. I had a beautiful dish of polenta with mushrooms stuffed with spinach and cheese that was outstanding. Wish I could go back again and try other things.

Arrived very early for a late afternoon International flight and was pleasantly surprised with the Carluccio breakfast menu and service. Enjoyed Eggs Benedict and Eggs with Mushroom on ciabatta. Coffee hit the spot. Server was attentive. Recommend this restaurant when you are at Terminal Five in Heathrow before you go through security.

Ordered a take away soup . Priced £5.95 . Served in a single use coffee cup , plastic spoon

The staff are friendly and polite which makes this place a pleasant location to meet up and send folk on their journeys.

Has to be the best breakfast in the world. Nicely done and very tasty. The orange juice and the coffee are nice icings on the cake. Thank you for such delicious food and Silvie for the great customer service.

Dined here several times and not disappointed. Last visit sat outside restaurant and loved watching passing travellers. Staff well trained and on this occasion waitress deserved large tip. Food usually high standard but bread basket this time contained dry bread. Main courses excellent but meringue dessert stringy. Hot drinks good quality. Only two other restaurants/pubs to choose from outside security and this one shines compared to competition. Prices just within reasonable category.

A much better experience than my previous one towards the end of July - largely down to the service of Miroslav who was really excellent - prompt, efficient, courteous, helpful and hardworking. I now know that they do Peroni on draft at a reasonable £5.25, rather having to have a large bottle at an eye watering c £7. I don't know if it is new here on draft or punters aren't normally offered it.

In September I had tio fly from Heathrow until 6 times and when in T5, this restaurant it is my favorite. Service, food and prices all are excellent.

This is the best restaurant in the airport, worth a jaunt over to the T5 branch it is everything that a restaurant should be- friendly staff, efficient service and delicious food. We ate Carluccio’s chicken liver pate, deep fried calamari, and gemelli alla luganica- spicy sausage pasta, washed down with cold pints of Peroni. All delicious and worth coming back for more- I was served by Naveen and Zavile and Neeza was the assistant manager on duty, and they could not have been more courteous. I came for lunch and I will be back!

Had the eggs Benedict and full English. Cooked very well and small wait time. The only downside is it’s a bit on the pricey side but I guess that’s what you pay at an airport

Couldnt be easier for a business lunch. Heathrow Express from Paddington to T5 (20 mins), up in the lift, and Bingo!, you're almost opposite Carluccios. The tables are a little bit too rammed together, but I suppose they want to turn around as many covers as possible, but for a business lunch the service was quick, professional, unobtrusive. We had a Rissotto and a Tuna Salad - both freshly prepared onsite and both excellent. We could have been in and out in 40 minutes, but we were gassing too much so took nearly an hour. Apple-Paid, off we popped. Brill!

I used to be a huge fan of Carluccio’s and was genuinely saddened to hear of the recent financial problems with many restaurants closing. If the standard of service at this establishment at Heathrow is anything to go by, regretfully I am not surprised they find theirselves in some difficulty. On entering and waiting to be seated, I stood with my partner for a number of minutes until I had to enquire as to the protocol for taking a table.i approached an indifferent member of staff who frankly couldn’t care less of where I sat. Pointed me in the direction of some vacant tables situated in a dining room which could at best be described as a canteen in style. The dining room could seat around 100 people. There was about 20 customers on my visit. After 20 minutes, having received no menu, no drinks and indeed no momentary eye contact from staff. We decided to leave as I certainly did not feel welcome. If you are looking for somewhere to eat at Heathrow airport. Try The George which I was forced to discover given the poor service here.

Visited here afternoon with my mother. Waiters Luci & Pramit were fantastic, great service. Made recommendations , were friendly and great hospitality despite a fight breaking out between a customer the other side of the restaurant. (sorry for name spellings!)

Quite disappointed with our visit here, we have eaten in quite a few Carluccio's and this is probably the worst one.

If you are travelling from Heathrow's Terminal 5, allow time for your breakfast landside. Once through security the choice is DIRE. And of course by then it is too late.

No staff at the greeting point. Waited for a while for order to be taken. When food arrived it was cold and was returned....£45 for 2 meals and 2 drinks Need more staff

We stopped by for a meal before our flight, waited at the front for a while before being seated. However, as we were 3 people; two adults and a child, we have been told there aren't any tables for three only for two are available, we have been told to sit at the counter for our meal (??!!), which at that point I was not very happy. We were there to eat a proper meal not to have a snack and drinks and go! And we want to sit comfortably. After a little while, I decided to ask one of the staff members to put two small tables together so we can have a table and can eat a proper meal. Well, for some reason he could then see there were two small tables next to each other and agreed with me to put them together. Anyway, after ordered the meal and drinks, we waited a while before we got our foods and drinks, but that does not really bother us as we got plenty of time before our flight. I've noticed there were two servers and a bartender at the front of the house, later on, there was a manager or a supervisor came out and helped but he was not very friendly though. The restaurant on that day was very busy, constantly busy, I think a couple more useful staffs at the front of the house might help.

I normally use this as good place to eat in Term 5 and in the past never had a problem. On my recent visit, they had ran out of most menu items and also bread a basic of Italian restaurant. The waiter was doing his best but because we complained that most items were out and this happened on our last visit and we thought it was one off. This time its clear there are issues at the place. We asked to speak to the manager who said that the head office don't listen and they often run out of the basics. I know first hand how expensive it is to run an airport business, surley the head office would have better control. I hope they can improve as its a great place

Good quality meal. Pasta served well with a bite and not at all soggy. Service impeccable from Miroslav. He even gave us a wave the next day as walked past. Great place for a meal before flying. Pleasant busy atmosphere. Good selection for vegetarians.

We were their last customers one night, and they could have hurried us, but they did not. The young lady waitress was really patient and attentive. One other customer left his wallet and she went running through the airport to chase him down, and I am sure he was surprised and gratified. The food was very good including their desserts. The cost was mid range, but ok for London, and airport food. I'll stop here again when at Heathrow.

The food is the same and as good as any Carluccios which is unusual for the airport .. they have the deli too so it’s all good . Tasty quick Italian food served in a nice environment ...if you are a fan of the chain then head over to T5!

Variety of foods, largely well priced. Tasty snacks, great coffee and tea, wicked cakes, good location. Friendly staff.

Just order Chicken with palma hand. Chicken was raw. Potatoes burnt and swimming in cloudy liquid. Yuck. Seriously gone down hill. Waiting to have to sit on the toilet all night

We were staying at the Sofitel. We were flying out the following morning and needed a family friendly restaurant. Four adults and two children. Service was slow and apart from one server they all lacked interest in their customers. Drinks sat on the bar for ages before we asked for them. When the food arrived my dish looked awful and so it was replaced. The table sitting behind us sent all their meals back. Unfortunately there isn’t a lot of choice but I would rather have had a sandwich in my room than the overpriced unappetising meal I had!

Since I was waiting for my flight the next day to Zagreb, I dined here myself for dinner and had the risotto and an appetiser- the fried squid from the menu. The food was delicious, yummy and nicely made by professional chefs inside the restaurant. This was also accompanied with great service who took care of me wholeheartedly throughout the meal. Great location since this was near the hotel Sofitel Heathrow Airport where I accommodated for the night. Price was slightly expensive but this is the best restaurant in Heathrow Airport that offers great food at a better cost. Overall it was a very good meal and I have no doubt giving a 4 star very good rating.

Had my lunch and my server pradeep looked after me very well and its worth to send my review he has been fantastic and trying to sell every thing and he is good sales man and the best coffee i every had and will visit again.Very clean and neat place

I called here on a busy Sunday evening about 6,45pm. Got a table ok but it took 15 minutes to get served and only then when I chased them- it seemed they did everything they could but take my order - at the very least someone should have offered a drink.

Ristorante bar situato all interno del terminal 5 dell aeroporto di Londra Heathrow. Il locale offre varietà di cibo, specialità italiane come ottima pasta e soprattutto insalate miste. Il personale è professionale e gentilissimo. La Sig.ra Ada è fantastica, simpaticissima e ti aiuta x la scelta dei piatti. Lo consiglio vivamente!

Food was excellent, service by a young gentlemen outstanding ! Service was also quick, and you feel at ease when eating. No stress.

Had dinner here while crossing paths with our daughter in Heathrow--she had found this place. Our server (Czech heritage) was excellent and each us enjoyed our meal. Portions are reasonable and prices the same. Highly recommend if you are here on a stop over--skip the Sofitel restaurant and come here.

Need food before Son flew off to NZ. Not that much choice this side of security at T5 so went into Carluccio’s.

When you go to a hotel close to an airport you do not have great expectations regarding food.

Breakfast here was quick and efficient service. My only criticism is that I had eggs florentine and the spinach was too wet and had not been seasoned during cooking and the poached eggs were a bit cold so altogether not a very good meal. I often eat at this restaurant and it’s a bit hit and miss so you take your chances on who is cooking and who’s serving!

Lovely way to start our day and holiday with one of their lovely almond croissants. Staff friendly but asked to go to table and order there. In principle seemed good but then we had a wait. actually went back in store and bought as takeaway ….served quickly then and went outside on the table and ate it !!!!!! Tasted great though as always in Carluccio's.

I came here for a bite to eat after a long day travelling and I have to say the food and service were very good. I’d definitely come back again when in the area

I had a full English breakfast at Carluccious in London Heathrow Terminal 5 it was just what I needed to get the day started If you want something lighter I would also recommend their Almond croissant slightly warmed up.
