Cardamon Grill in Warrington

The Cardamon used to offer quite tasty and ell presented curries but sadly the latest effort - a prawn methi was both tasteless and swimming in oil. The boiled rice probably has more taste in it! Naan bread was leathery. A great shame as it used to be a good place.

25 of us in for a birthday celebration and the food and service was amazing. All of the team went the extra mile to make it a special evening. Definitely recommend.

Food was really nice, however after booking we waited 2 hours for our table and although the manager was nice to me he was quite rude and disrespectful to my friends and girlfriend.

Very impressive. Really enjoyed the food. The hot dish I had was hot, but you could really taste the flavor of the dish. The staff were really nice and attentive and should mention Ash as one.

We’ve been nipping into this place for years and our ‘ date night’ visit was no exception!! Fantastic welcome from all the staff who all take the time to chat oroffer recommendations, quality food and drinks and tbh the food is just amazing - I’m a lamb fan and have had the most amazing khushbu, chilli massalla, roshni, tandoori from the oven - the lamb has always been perfect … accompaniments are no different and my fav is the delicious garlic naans 😋😋😋. Already looking forward to our next visit - thanks cardamon team.

From the good reviews it looks like this restaurant has loyal local following but we found it didn't really match our experience. The interior looks ok with subdued lighting but our side alcove was tired and the leather seats cut/ripped so we are sitting on torn leather and foam. The starter was a standard relish tray but came straight from the fridge so it was too cold and we found a couple of the sauces too thin rather than a little thicker than normal to stay on the poppadoms (even being colder!) The mains are subjective, but we both found the dishes too spiced and lacking finesse in flavours. The mains were generous in portion size. Service was patchy with requests for water and napkins on two separate occasions not being done. In conclusion an Indian to go to after a few drinks with your mates and handy being right on the high street but for anything else in my experience there are better options.

Just enjoyed my first visit to Cardamon. I arrived at 19:30 on Monday 4th and there was only one other table occupied which was a bit of a surprise. The menu was presented smartly and showed a wide variety of interesting sounding dishes which were well explained. I chose the Meat Bilate Mirchi (stuffed pepper) and on the advice of the host the Staff Curry with Pilau rice. Both courses arrived very promptly and were very well presented. Both were highly flavoursome and would rank near the very top of all of the Indian (Bangladeshi) restaurants that I have visited over many many years. The service was very good without being too intrusive. The total bill came to just over £30 for the above mentioned dishes (but no sides) and one pint of Cobra which in my opinion is very good value for money given the outstanding quality of the food. All in all a very good meal and I will certainly visit again when staying in the Warrington / Runcorn area.

We've been going here for over fifteen years since the restaurant opened and these guys still absolutely smash it week in, week out. Without a doubt, the best curry house in Cheshire with outstanding food, attentive customer service and superb decor - the place and whole dining experience is unrivalled. From that first smile when you walk through the door to the satisfied final goodbye, you feel part of the family and will always be welcome. We've been going for so long now, they are just like family. The menu is extensive and varied to suit all tastes and expectations. It's been a key part of our lives every week - a godsend through the good times and bad, through sunshine and showers, and now Covid. The Cardamon is absolutely unique in our eyes and will never be bettered. Once you try it, you'll be hooked. Get involved and support local businesses - they are the heartbeat of the Stockton Heath village and you won't be disappointed.

We are regulars at the Cardamon as the food, ambience and welcome we get is first class. We visited for one of their themed nights, this time being a Ro bit Williams tribute act. We were given a warm welcome by Ansarul who invited us to our table. The food was top quality. I can highly recommend the chicken tikka samber which has a nice blend of spice to complement the beer! We visited with friends who all had different dishes and all were complementary on the food. Just as we had finished eating, timed perfectly, the music started and what an entrance! The Robbie Williams tribute act played all of the 'big tunes' looked like Robbie, danced like Robbie and had the presence of Robbie. He also engaged brilliantly with the diners with some highly amusing one liners. Unfortunately Raheem wasn't working that night with hilegendary banter. All in all, a great night again. Complements to all the staff there!

We have been visiting cardamom n and off for years but during lockdown it became our go to Indian and we have never been disappointed. Tonight we visited as a family if 5 to celebrate our sons 13th birthday and everything was perfect. Good spacing...

Our family favourite takeaway is Indian food. I have tried so many restraunts but i have never tasted such beautiful mouth watering flavours with suculent melt in your mouth chicken . I ordered butter chicken enriched by a cinnaman stick great value amazing food friendly...

Takeaway ! Just while social distance is in place people need to be aware that when collecting you will be in the main restaurant with approx 30’other people, and while you are sat a little apart it is far from ideal with all the “Deliveroo” and “Just Eat” drivers are sitting together in one corner. The food as always is amazing but please try and work out a better way of takeaway collection, I booked for 7.20 and was sat with 30 other people for over 25 minutes, i won’t be doing it again.

Visited early Saturday evening with a pal. Fabulous welcome and that set the scene for the service all evening - spot on. We loved that we were asked if we wanted a break between starters and main courses. We weren't rushed to leave the table either when we'd finished eating.Really tasty food - didn't find it too hot at all, though we were at the mild end of the spectrum. Quite simply the best naan bread I've ever had.Can't wait to go back - or try a takeaway.

Attended a Freddie Mercury /George Muchael tribute night last night with friends. Good food, curries are hotter than most places so have that in mind. On the pricey side but really enjoyed it. Great entertainment. Best Indian restaurant in town.

Having really enjoyed eating in the Cardamon throughout the year we booked for Christmas day and had a great experience.The staff are all very friendly and attentive, they all seem to love working there and looking after their customers, I can't praise them enough.The service was faultless from the moment we entered to the moment we left. Food was served just exactly when we were ready and despite it being a very busy day for the restaurant it was perfect. It was very fresh and tasted fantastic.This is a very well run restaurant and everything seems to run like clockwork with no outward signs of how busy everyone must be. We will back for Christmas 2020 and many other times before then too!Highly recommended.

Had my first takeaway for a while, there must be a new chef, very disappointed. Poppadoms tasted like they had been cooked in old oil. Onion Bhaji was lovely, tandoori prawns which is my favourite has totally changed for the worse. Lamb Tikka special seemed to have forgot the chilli, when it had three chills by it. Very disappointed, don’t think I’ll go back for a while.

Both been poorly so couldn't face a party night, so we booked an early table at our favourite place. The restaurant was very busy of course, but the staff were brilliantly attentive as usual and there was no compromise with the quality of the food, it was absolutely tk die for, ad it always is. Fave place on the village.

We couldn’t have asked for a more fabulous experience at this super restaurant.This was our first time eating in Stockton Heath and we weren’t disappointed.Our food was cooked to perfection,fresh,plentiful and hot. The Caradmon starter melted in the mouth and my chicken vindaloo was delightful.My wife had the chicken pathai which she loved.The service from the staff was superb and we are sure to come back.

Visited Cardamom for dinner with my wife and son on 10th October on the strength of the Trip Advisor reviews. Unfortunately, our experience was not great. Spiced popadoms didn’t seem fresh, and were fairly rubbery, and the relish medley at £3.50 was underwhelming. Our starters were undercooked, with some of the vegetables being inedible, and the chicken in our mains was over cooked. The “curry sauce” that accompanied my wife’s biryani, was just a congealed lump of veg. Needless to say, we never bothered with desserts. While the staff were very pleasant, we had to ask that the deposit we paid when making the internet booking, be taken off the bill. Surely, this should have been done automatically. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience.

My 9 yr old has been here a few time with family and thought he knew what curry he ordered. Turned out it was too hot for him and the staff couldn’t do enough. Spoke to Mitz about flavours and we ended up with the perfect choice. Kids meals options too. My meal was really good too but the stand out was the service. Lovely decor. I think it will become a firm favourite of mine. Thanks Mitz and the rest of the team.

Our family visited the cardamon on a Thursday and it was great. When we first arrived it was very quite, and we were served by Jay who was very polite, funny and provided a quality service. For my meal I ordered the chicken tikka rogan josh. It was amazing. The spices were very flavour-some, and the curry was very fresh. The prices were very reasonable for the portion sizes of the curry and most of our family couldn't finish. Overall it was a very enjoyable night and would recommend this curry house for anyone who was in the area.

We live locally to Cardamon and we are so happy to have such a good quality Indian restaurant nearby! The food is great quality, delicious and not greasy at all as you find in some other places. Every time I have been I have tried something different, and have yet to be disappointed! All of the staff are very friendly and welcoming, particularly Sharuk, who is very kind and accommodating.

Recently moved to the area, and have been trying different indian restaurants around stockton heath area and Cardamon is by far the best. The food was lovely and the inside of the restaurant was very smart and impressive. All the waiters were friendly and the service was very fast. Will definitely be returning!

Booked a table here on a Friday night, last minute. Arrived to find it was not too busy, staff were friendly and attentive.Ambience was lovely, glitzy and comfortable yet not over the top. They even have a "quiet" area for those with hearing or sensory issues.Food ordered was a good mix of mild and spicy dishes, all well presented and very tasty. My chicken tikka biryani was superb, the rice was moist and tasty and full of chunks of meat and the vegetable curry was mild and tasty. Prices were a little higher than i usually pay in Cambridge, mains were £3-4 more and a prawn dish ordered by a family member was £5 more! A little gem of a restaurant! Would return again if we were in the area.

We have been going to Cardamon ever since it opened. The quality of the food is outstanding. Really tasty and freshly made. The staff are so professional, attentive and polite/ well mannered. The restaurant itself is styled well and modern. Consistency is the key word.

Another great meal at the Cardamon. The Cardamon team are always super efficient and friendly. I always order a prawn puri to start and went for king prawn with jalfrezi curry sauce for main, my new favourite ! Really delicious! We will be back soon. Many thanks x

Standout restaurant for curry in Warrington area. Food and 'reception' service is impeccable. Rahim always very polite and also great banter and service from Faz and Mitz. Love the booths, and great atmosphere. Highly recommended for both dining-in and takeaway.

Visited 3 February 2018. Had a great quality meal with superb service provided by all of the Cardamon staff especially MITZ. Really pleasurable visit from start to finish with fantastic food served in a great atmosphere!

We meet up with some friends we don't see very often and the Cardamon was a great venue fro us to catch up, the staff are so pleasant and helpful you feel relaxed as soon as you sit down. We had some Popadoms to begin, they were Devine, so light. Our starters were delicious, I cannot remember what everyone had but I know plates were cleared. The mains were served at our convenience, giving chance for starters to settle and more chatting. Again can't remember all the mains, I know I had a Cardamon special - Biriyani, To be honest as lovely as this was, 1 - could have done with being served with a larger plate to tip it on 2) I had a Jalfrezi sauce but it could have done with a little bit more sauce. A nice as this place is it isn't a cheap evening, but ambiance lovely and staff make this a pleasant venue

Had a meal in here last night and the food was absolutely fantastic!!! Upon being greeted when we walked in to the restaurant I got a feel we were going to be looked after well. We had mitz waiting on us and he was really attentive, friendly and made the experience of dining here a fabulous one. We had a good laugh with him didn't have to wait for food long in there and it was busy so well done! Excellent restaurant.

We visited this restaurant on Friday evening ( 26.1.18 ), this was our first time. From the moment we arrived to the time we left, the service was excellent. The staff were friendly, polite, helpful, great. We have used all the restaurants in the village and this is by far the smartest, it takes some believing we were above the old fire station ( now Nandos ). Our meal was served by Mitz, ( Kloppite ) great lad, a couple of other guys assisted with the drinks, a real team performance. The food and drinks were superb, excellent, WELL WORTH THE MONEY. Second time at Cardamon with a large group. We had a table for 22 set up for us on arrival. Service was great by all staff, led by Kibz on our table. Food was excellent, beer was flowing nicely and the service was spot on. It cant be easy catering for 22 all at once but we didn't have to wait for any part of the order, and everything arrived as requested. We'll be back again soon. Thanks....

We visited Cardamon last night and as usual we were greeted warmly by all the fantastic guys who work there.

Last minute decided to go out for tea. We nipped in for a curry and came out in a blissful food coma! The lamb starters are incredible. This is surely the best Indian in Warrington. Our waiter Mitz was friendly and helpful. Will defo recommend

What a stunning place this is, first time and defo not the last. The food and staff are on another level in this restaurant. I asked for a few little extras that they never had on their menu, nothing was to much. Couldn’t recommend it enough. I’m actually getting a take out tonight as the kids missed out....

This Christmas myself and my family went to the Cardamon for a Christmas curry. It was our second year going so we knew what the food was like and they didn't disappoint! Such a tasty meal along with brilliant service! Enam took the time to speak to us at the end of the meal and really took his time and engaged- we didn't feel rushed out at all and you can tell that he really values his customers.

Very good atmosphere , friendly staff especially Mitz , decoration very plush. The food is very good although a bit pricey . The takeaway food is also very good and better priced

My family and I dined here this evening for our Christmas dinner and it was absolutely Devine! We had the option of either an English Christmas dinner or Indian dinner from the a la carte menu and so it catered for us all (4/5 of us with Indian food, the remainder with a full Christmas dinner!)

South Indian Garlic Chicken out of this world. Great food, great service in a 1970's porn movie setting. All in all a great night out.
