It's an amazing place to go if you're a meat eater.plenty of food comes out, and it's a very nice buffet to get all of your sides. Staff are very polite and helpful. It's a must visit place and I will be returning.

It was not the busiest time of day 4.30pm on a Saturday afternoon, so lacked enough people to create a good atmosphere. The staff were all well versed and the food was good. If you like a lot of meat this is the place for you. I think we tried more than 6 types of meat. The salad bar was well tended. I enjoyed the experience.

Estuvimos aquí por el cumpleaños de mi hija. Habíamos reservado y cuando llegamos éramos los únicos clientes. Otra mesa llegó poco después, pero eso fue todo para nuestra duración. Tomaron bebidas y me decepcionó que no tuvieran la cerveza Favela "local". Visitamos el bar de ensaladas y había un montón de opciones. Parte parecía que había salido por un tiempo, pero todo estaba bien. La carne empezó a llegar. Por alguna razón, solo tienen un plato de servir / conjunto de pinzas por mesa. Puedo entender que esto podría hacer las cosas un poco más rápido para los chicos que tallan la carne, pero hace que sea menos fácil para los clientes - yo prefiero tener un plato por cliente y el tallador sirve a cada cliente / plato. La carne era buena, y seguía llegando con frecuencia. Nos decepcionó que no tuvieran las salchichas. ¡Estas eran mi hija y mi prenda favorita! Nos dieron una amplia selección de carnes. Absolutely amazing place for food, amazing friendly service but asolutely abysmal for keeping their opening times up to date, saying your open when your not, not updating your times with holidays is not a hard task to achieve especially when its the same holidays every year. There is no need for that level of laziness for a place that does so well everywhere else.

Llegamos a las 5 pm un sábado y no había 1 persona allí, lo que nos pareció extraño para un sábado a la hora del té. pedimos nuestras bebidas que estaban bien, salad bar estaba bien. La carne comenzó a salir pollo, salchicha, más pollo, gammon, cordero, en la ronda 8 preguntamos si realmente servían bistec con que era una casa de bistec nos dijeron que sí, que venía entonces más pollo por ahora estábamos rechazando la comida como queríamos bistec. bueno cuando el bistec llegó era solomillo tomé un bocado y lo escupió inmediatamente que supo cómo OFF carne huele fue horrible mi compañero lo intentó e hizo lo mismo, así que llamamos a la camarera que se disculpó y lo llevó de vuelta a la cocina 5 minutos más tarde ella salió y dijo que ella misma y el chef habían probado el bistec y no había nada malo en él y que debe ser solo nuestras papilas gustativas y luego se marchó. algo más de carne salió que rechazamos, ya que el solomillo nos había puesto a los dos de comer y había girado nuestro estómago, llamamos a la camarera y dijimos que habíamos terminado como el solomillo nos había pospuesto comer más ella tomó nuestros platos y trajo el menú de postres jajajajaja no queríamos postres queríamos que la cuenta dejar. Después de 10 minutos finalmente trajo la factura que incluía un cargo por servicio del 10%, pedimos que se quitara ya que no habíamos disfrutado de la comida y nos estábamos yendo todavía sintiendo un poco de hambre, La camarera comenzó a decir que deberíamos pagar el cargo por servicio ya que habíamos proporcionado un servicio y que no era culpa que no nos gustó el filete jajaja. Todavía nos negamos diciendo que no habíamos recibido la experiencia completa y que había comida FUERA Y no volveríamos. Escribo esto la mañana siguiente después de haber estado metida con la cabeza en el inodoro durante las últimas 3 horas. EVITA ESTE LUGAR.

Cuando llegamos solo había un par de otras mesas que se utilizan muy tranquilo, y habíamos reservado. Nos mostraron a nuestra mesa y nos preguntaron qué bebidas queríamos, pregunté qué bebidas sin alcohol servían y él no estaba seguro, pedí un Guinness 00, pero de nuevo no estaba seguro de si lo tenían, pero no hizo absolutamente ningún esfuerzo para ir y averiguarlo, así que al final tuve un Pepsi max. Soy vegetariana, así que mi esposo me preguntó si servían papas fritas haloumi, pero no lo hicieron y no tenían ninguna opción vegetariana, excepto la barra de ensaladas y papas fritas. Llegaron las papas fritas así que fuimos por ensalada. Fue terrible, no se veía muy bien, pero conseguí lo que quería. Tuve que dejar la pasta de pesto rojo, ensalada de patatas y ensalada de col ya que sabía amargo como si hubiera sido hecho con los ingredientes más baratos. El joven que servía la carne se sentó a la mesa, solo había dos platos laterales y pinzas entre cinco personas, así que pedí un poco más y no tenía ni idea de lo que quería decir. Finalmente llegaron y él comenzó a servir la carne, estaba a punto de pasarla sobre mi plato cuando estaba goteando jugos de carne, así que tuve que agarrar rápidamente un plato. Cuando cortaba la carne nunca se movía alrededor de la mesa para servirla simplemente se seguía inclinando, claramente no tenía ni idea de cómo servir a la gente y para ser honesto me daba un poco de pena, ya que no tenía idea. Dijeron que hacían bolas de masa de queso así que pedí algunas y me dijeron que tardarían unos quince minutos, después de media hora pedí cancelarlas pero recién salían de la cocina. No sé qué queso usaron, pero no me gustaron como muy fuertes, sin embargo, un par de otras personas sí los disfrutaron. Decidimos tomar el postre y fue una elección variada. Mi marido eligió algo pero le compraron algo totalmente diferente, para este momento ya habíamos tenido suficiente así que él empezó a comerlo. A mitad de camino compraron lo que él ordenó. Se le preguntó si todavía los quería y dijo que solo si eran libres, pero no lo eran, así que se quedó con lo que tenía. En general la visita fue muy pobre. Todo el personal era muy joven, lo cual está bien, pero necesitan ser entrenados adecuadamente. El bar de ensaladas era terrible, pero mis amigos comedores de carne dijeron que la carne estaba bien. Ninguno de nosotros iría aquí de nuevo y absolutamente no lo recomendaría a nadie.

Lovely steak. The pineapple converted me to like pineapple. Staff were friendly and polite. Place was very quiet which may suit some but I prefer a bit more atmosphere

La comida sabe bien, pero no hay energía o ambiente del personal. Hemos sido asiduos a otra casa de carne donde el gerente nos recibió con humor y la carne simplemente siguió llegando. Aquí es muy restringido en el tamaño de las porciones y la elección limitada en la barra de ensalada - no hay salsa de pimienta en grano tampoco. No regresará ya que no se siente como si obtuviera su dinero.

It was petty quiet for a Saturday night. Was a little slow at first waiting for the meats. Staff were lovely and attentive. The atmosphere was quiet, and I would expect it to be busy on a Saturday night. However, they do stop serving at 08.30, which is pretty early. Meat was nice and fresh, though.

Do not go on a weekday as the hot food on the salad bar looked really really stale and did not look safe to eat and the salad was dry. The cuts of meat were okay some of them were really chewy. Service was good but it looked like it was run by really young staff and no manager to be seen. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone as the price for what you get is not worth it. I would recommend calling ahead first and ask how many bookings there are if you want fresh food:

We were staying near York and decided to book in here at the last minute on Friday evening for our anniversary. We were greeted nicely by the staff member (who I think was actually the manager) and shown to our table. The waiting staff and the fellow bringing out the meats were really polite and friendly. The decor was nice and we had a lovely bottle of wine. The salad bar was all really nice, not shrivelled up or past its best and the meat was cooked absolutely spot on. The lamb especially was gorgeous, but to be honest they were all really nice!. We didn’t realise the closing time of the restaurant, and ended up staying over the closing time a little, but the staff were still excellent with us and didn’t hurry us to get out. Absolutely fantastic place and I would most definitely return if we are in the area again without a doubt!

Been here about 4 times now and each time have had an excellent meal. The staff are warm and friendly. The lunchtime deal for £15 was amazing value. The salad bar is delicious and all the meat served is perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. I never understand why it’s not more busy here. I’d hate it to close as it’s a great restaurant. Turn up hungry!

£20 lunch menu is absolute scandalous!! £20 for amazing food and hands down the most attentive service I’ve ever had is a steal!!. The staff heard it was my friend’s birthday and brought out a free slice of cake. Top notch service. My only problem with the place is you can’t add a tip on card !? I wanted to tip but couldn’t Cause I didn’t have any cash. It’s 2024 sort this out please!! Your staff deserve better!!

Fuimos a almorzar y todos disfrutamos de nuestra comida. Todo estaba delicioso desde la barra de ensaladas hasta las carnes, que estaban todas perfectamente cocinadas y salían regularmente. El personal es excelente, muy amable, bien informado y atento. Era el cumpleaños de mis esposos y les envié un mensaje y pusieron una pancarta, le dieron una tarjeta y sacaron un delicioso pastel de chocolate con una vela de fuego artificial, lo cual fue muy apreciado. Todo fue excepcional y recomendaría a cualquiera probarlo aquí. Fue una pena lo tranquilo que era el restaurante, deberían estar mucho más ocupados teniendo en cuenta la calidad de la comida, el servicio excepcional y el precio razonable. También estaban ofreciendo una oferta de Facebook que nos dio un 20% de descuento, que fue una oferta muy bienvenida. Definitivamente volveremos y ya estamos planeando cuándo volver para probar el menú de cena de selección más amplia.

Día del Padre en Caramba con la familia. El lugar estaba lleno y el personal hizo tan bien para mantenerse al día con la demanda. Este es un restaurante de gestión familiar con los propietarios que ejecutan la parrilla y frente de la casa entre ellos y su hijo pequeño sirviendo las mesas. El equipo trabaja muy duro y siempre tiene una sonrisa en la cara, incluso en los momentos más ocupados. La comida siempre es perfecta y la carne cocinada a la perfección. Incluso puedes solicitar que se cocine más bien si eso es lo tuyo. Si quieres todo lo que puedas comer, un gran servicio a precios razonables, así como una Pina Colada bastante impresionante . . no busques más allá de esta joya.

Amazing food, drinks and service!

Vinimos aquí después de comprar vales de la radio YO 1 ya que teníamos una recomendación para ir y probarlo. No decepcionó. El servicio era muy atento, y la carne era preciosa. Tenían un gran bar de ensaladas, que también tenía arroz y puré. Los chips salieron por separado, así que estaban calientes. Una vez que tuvimos todas las carnes, la camarera vino y nos preguntó si queríamos más de cierta. Pedimos un poco y ella volvió de nuevo unos 15 minutos después para ver si nos gustaría más. Definitivamente volveremos.

I am soo excited to be writing this review about this FANTASTIC restaurant!! My partner and I popped in after a cinema visit,and ,after recently developing some food intolerance, I was a little apprehensive about my first experience of eating out,I couldn't have been more wrong!! We had a lovely young lady as our waitress who was very well informed and gave me a really helpful guide to the salad bar and also the delicious meats,in addition also to very visible written guidance in front of each food item.This made it very simple for me to enjoy a lovely selection of fresh salad,and rice,I really did appreciate her genuine interest and wonderful service.The meats were absolutely beautiful and my partner and I were served with a wonderful choice of tender and succulent meats which were cooked and served perfectly by the lovely chef.This was a meal we won't forget, for all the right reasons,and we are already planning our return for next month..... I'll be paying for our meal next time but I will do so very happily indeed!! Came in for the lunch menu, the meats were incredible and brought out with just the right amount of time in between. The cold sides in the middle were actively replaced and not just left until empty. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be returning.

I visited this restaurant for the first time with a friend of mine. Someone we know recommended it to me. It was an amazing meal, great service, clean. I will be going back soon and I think it has become 1 of my favourite places to go to.

What an amazing restaurant, immaculately clean and spotless. The staff are very friendly and certainly know their menu, service was very efficient and our order was taken within 5 minutes of us arriving. The salad bar is fab and well stocked and the skewered meats that are served at your table are succulent, and flavoursome. Will definitely be re visiting with family very soon. The waitress Ruby was a credit to the restaurant, friendly, polite and nothing was to much trouble she was always available for repeat drinks and food. Found this excellent restaurant by chance - what a find! This is an owner managed business with a second place in Selby. Firstly, choose your salad from a well stocked and varied salad bar. From then on, freshly cooked meat is delivered to your table straight from the kitchen (mainly on skewers) This continues till you say no more. No limit!!! Despite feeling “well satisfied”, you are then presented with a substantial dessert menu! We really enjoyed our evening and will come again when back in York.

Lovely food & meat, only issue is they are very stingey with the meat, you only get one tiny thin slice or a little chunk of meat & when we asked for more slices he cut the tiniest bits more off and you felt uncomfortable about asking again, came round fast enough with more but by the time they came back round you’d already eaten your little slice and was sat waiting for the next meat, you NEED to have the garlic mushrooms wow amazing!

We’ve been to Caramba Selby quite a few times over the years, but today we though we would try the York one, wow we weren’t disappointed the staff were brilliant and the food out of this world, can’t wait to come back

We visited as a family for lunch, the staff were very polite. We couldn’t fault this place in anyway. My daughter doesn’t eat a lot of meat and the waiter kept bringing her fries. Salad bar very fresh and the meat was perfect. Highly recommend

This is an experience, not just a meal. We went for dinner and were very happy with our choice of restaurant. Delicious meat and plenty of it. Friendly service and never felt rushed. Recommend making an evening of it like we did. We were so engrossed with eating that we had barely touched the bottle of wine we ordered by the end of the meal, so we were able to spend another leisurely hour chatting and drinking our wine. It's a treat but we'll worth it. We plan on returning.

Food here is absolutely delicious. There selection of meat is always great and cooked perfectly. The salad bar has a great selection for all tastes. The drinks are great quality, especially the cocktails. The service is just fantastic, no matter how busy or quite, they always make you feel welcome and valued. Just remember, that it is best to try everything in smaller amounts so you don't miss out, then after you have trued everything, you can request more of your favourites. Sadly have never tried deserts here, as the mains are so amazing we always forget to leave room. And the value for money is great too.

Arrived for a 7pm booking and shown to our table, fairly busy but staff were amazing. Drinks order taken quickly. Salad bar and hot sides were help yourself and were gorgeous. Meat was lovely too. Also had dessert (!) which was very good. Staff are a credit to this place. Would recommend and visit again

An unremarkable offering of grilled meat and salad at a truly remarkable price of £33 per head (£30 + service charge of 10%). Decent venue and pleasant staff raise the rating from the minimum one star to two. Definitely a one-off for me.

Amazing. Me and my partner came here after being recommended by friends. Soon as we walked through the door we was greeted by a blond woman who was extremely welcoming and friendly. We sat down and got our drinks and proceeded to the salad bar. All items were well stocked and very tasty. The meat arrived shortly after. We manage to try every single one (even the chicken heart!) there was a little bit of a wait for the meats as the restaurant ended up rather busy. But the staff managed it perfectly - cracking on and apologising for the wait. (Which they couldn’t help) We would like to say Thank-you for making our night a very pleasurable one and we can’t wait to visit again soon!

Made a special trip to visit this restaurant. It's a bargain price for children (Was around £10.95) and my son ate plenty, adults were around £30 each (so it's an eat out for a treat kind of place). They come to your table offering each of the meats and then the waitress comes back once you have tried each meat and askes which ones you want again. There is also a plentiful salad bar. Drinks service from our waitress was pretty slow, but came eventually. I would definitely visit again if I was in the area.

Excellent salad bar and tasty meat.. we did get caught out by asking for a little more of the steak though as the 14.99 lunch bumps up to 19.99 when you have any seconds even if it is just a small extra slice. Best to get plenty of your fav fist time it comes if that's allowed.

Even though there weren't many people in at the time, the atmosphere was very friendly and relaxed. Food was great and the staff were really lovely 😊

Visited as a family of 4 after the cinema with a 4 year old and 7 year old. Price was just over £100, but that did include two glasses of wine and two ice creams. Meat was very slow out so we didn’t get more than half of what was on the menu offered and the meat we did get was very chewy and poor quality. Drinks staff very attentive, but unfortunately we wouldn’t go back as quality of the food was poor. Did provide a nice ambience, but really poor quality meat if you like a nice steak etc.

So much choice at the salad bar and with the meats brought to the table. Friendly staff, clean and tidy venue, beautifully decorated and plenty of parking.

Didn't know this Brazilian restaurant was around the corner from my home, which is a bad thing, lol. I'll be visiting here quite regularly because the food is fabulous 👌🏾. Brazilian restaurants are heaven for carnivores, like me. Stunning steaks, sausages, chicken, salads, rice, and vegetables, as well as a delicious cheese mashed potato. Eat as much as you want for £20. Great space to eat well 👌🏾 😋 and relax. I highly recommend paying these guys a visit if you love your meat full of flavour. Make sure you go with an empty stomach, lol 😆 😉

Visited here on a Friday evening with my partner. Place was quiet (England were playing in world cup), but server saw us to our table, explained the concept and gave us a drinks menu. We could help ourselves to a buffet of cold and hot accompaniments (salad, bread, nachos, rice, mashed potato, sauces etc). The chef came out with various meats on skewers that he carved at the table (beef brisket, sirloin, lamb, gammon, chicken sausages etc). The meat was so tender and super tasty. You can ask for as much or little as you like. He kept coming back frequently with more meat as our cards were green. Once we'd had all the selection the servers came back and asked if we'd like more of something particular. We loved the minted lamb, it was amazing. Chips came with the food too. I was a bit sceptical at first after reading some of the reviews but we thought it was excellent and will definitely be back. If you're a meat eater you will love it.

Visited while at Clifton M, overall enjoyed, and food was nice. They do seem reluctant to bring round a second round of meats. Other than that all 👍

Overpriced for poor quality cuts of meat

Very quiet on a Sunday night. Friendly front of house. Approx, every 5mins a guy appears with a bite size bit of beef/chicken/sausage/pork/lamb/gammon, the experience got a bit tedious rather than stomach getting full. I would prefer having less variety, but larger pieces steak, so won't be going back. One minor irritation was that we were told we had been served all 15 different meats so our evening was coming to an end - we'd kept count and it was only 11, so felt a little short-changed. If you just want a nice edium rare steak go elsewhere.

Visited knowing nothing about the place, was all new to me, but really enjoyed it. Good food, expected a bit more spice, but everything was very tasty. (Except the SUPER salty sirloin! 🤢). Great service, attentive staff. Music was far too loud for a quiet lunchtime! This made hearing our waiter properly very difficult & meant having to talk much louder that you'd expect in an almost empty restaurant! Kinda spoiled the atmosphere tbh. Looking forward to going again nonetheless!
