Pictures on this page show small fish & chips at £5.10. Believe that was 3yrs ago. Today 30/8/24 I had to pay £9.00!! And cash only, so they can't blame the tax man. Fish was quite nice but the chips were quite frankly awful. Threw most of them in the bin.

First time going here and was well impressed. Fish was lovely, nice crispy batter and the chips were spot on. Really friendly staff aswell, gave me a few chips while I waited and even chucked in some scallops on the house. What a guy. Definitely recommend 👍

High standards of costumer’s service, people are so nice the owner trained them very well , place is clean.. foods are the best specially the fish with chips with gravy sauce and curry. Consistently great fish and chips. Fish highest quality and cooked to orxer, white and flaky with just the right amount of batter. Chips not greasy everything always super yummy. Run by two guys who are passionate about their food.

What a lovely little hidden gem! Their customer service and customer care is outstanding!!!!! The staff are extremely warm friendly and welcoming. Lovely fish and chips and a great Kebab

Really impressive! Fish and chips are made fresh while you wait and the fish was cooked perfectly. It tasted great. The owner gave me some chips to try while I waited for my order. Staff and owner are very polite and provided brilliant service. Will definitely be ordering again next week.

The Best Chippy of the North. They beat others hands down. We won't go anywhere else. High quality selected ingredients, best potatoes, superb fresh fish as well as many others. They clean all the equipment down everytime so its cooked to a very high standard. Its world class, tasty and delicious !!! We are lucky to have it in Urmston.

Honestly beautiful food! The owner is a top guy 👍🏼. I had the donner and chips and chicken and chips, both were very tasty, but the chicken was so tender 😍. Owner even gave me a few chips whilst I was waiting. Will definitely come again!

Read some of the reviews so thought I'd give it a try...Had a large fish and chips and a portion of mushy peas... the chips are fabulous the fish divine and peas are peas. Slightly expensive but you get what you pay for and I would say it just tips the scales at value for your buck. The one suggestion I would make is that they only have the facility for cash payments and maybe they should drag themselves into the 21st Century by providing card payments. Despite this flaw.... go try them you'll love it!!!!

A great chippy! Chips aren't greasy and you can tell it's really good quality ingredients. The owner gave me some chips to try while I waited for my fish to be cooked fresh which was really appreciated and a lovely touch. Lovely staff too.

The fish and chips are excellent, however there are two other aspects that are well above. The two lads that run it are absolute legends. You're made to feel welcome from the second you walk in. Even after ordering, they'll throw a decent amount of chips your way to enjoy while you wait. I've never seen another chippy do this- others, take note!! Now we're on to the donner kebab. I've eaten a good few in my time in many different places and I can say hands down; this is one THE best kebabs you can get. The meat is succulent and full of flavour, the salad is crisp and always fresh and the naan is grilled just right, keeping it's structure but staying soft enough to wrap without splitting or breaking in half. Well done boys, keep it up!

I came here the other day for the first time to pick up an order for the family. I had called on the phone to order and the bloke answering very confidently backed his fish and chips as some of the best around! The staff were all very friendly and I quite enjoyed the pride they clearly took in their product. As a person from the seaside living in Manchester I often find the chipies here are a bit basic, but this place definitely delivered. Very tasty fish and chips, good portions and most importantly, the curry sauce and peas were on point. Will definitely be going again, cheers guys.

I went in and got the large fish and chips the guy taking my order was very nice, he told me this will be the best fish and chips I’ve ever eaten and I can go anywhere and it won’t be as good as here. He was right I don’t usually like fish and chips that much don’t really give reviews but this place deserves one I have nothing bad I could say about the food but or service

One of best fish and chips in Urmston. I never had a bad chips form this shop. All the time I got hot and fresh chips from here. Owners are really professional and fast for serving. This is good place for buying kebab as well.

Fish was nice, chips was raw wasnt the first time! On the other hand over heard a conversation between the boss and a YOUNG FEMALE staff member and found the conversation inappropriate. Wont be in a rush to go back put it that way!!!!!

Good fish and chip shop handy when you have been working late

A chippy I have used for a few years now worth the 20 minute drive. But Good Friday, the one day you know it will be busy. That is fine I will wait , always worth it. I place my order and stand outside with others waiting for my orders to be called. The man in front of gets his order, great I think I am next. No four more orders shouted. So I go in and ask why this is, to be told they were waiting for my scallops. This did not make sense as I had been waiting for over 20 minutes they don't take that long to cook. I was told mine was next. Back outside and a couple of minutes wait my full order is called. Great. I drive 20 minutes home to my waiting family to find the large fish and chips missing. I call them a young lad answers said that it was wrong. I asked for my missing order to be cooked I was driving the 20 minutes back to collect my missing items. I arrive at the shop go in and say I have come to collect my missing item. The women who served me says fish cake. No it is the complaint I rang about large fish and large chips missing. Her response , holds her arms up to a busy shop and says well I didn't do it on purpose , then walks in the back, leaving the younger girl to serve me. No sorry about that. I get it was busy, so prep your staff ,maybe a bit if customers service. We are human and all make mistakes but you own them. This is the first time I have had bad service but twice on one visit. Really!!!!!

Pretty good. Can't say it's the best I have ever tasted. But I have had a lot worse. Staff very friendly and helpful, even stayed open a bit later when I arrived very close to closing time. So customer service spot on

Usually top food in here, however i went yesterday and i have to say it was the worst ive had in a long time, chips looked mostly like recooked old ones and tasted terrible, the fish wasnt great either. A real shame, i dont know why it was so bad!

Worst fish ever. It was cheap, really thin and dry. It had the texture and taste of battered styrofoam. Chips were good though.

Never had a bad chippy from there. Staff are friendly, sometimes you have to wait bit more often than not it just guarantees fresh chips. Only downside is that it's too good and convenient as obviously it isn't the healthiest food but when I'm working from home it screams to me and I have to reign myself in from having daily pie and chips. I'd be the size of a house! Not had the kebab but people get them a lot so reckon they're good as well.
