Great food, I always come here when I'm in Darley Dale and it never disappoints ! The lady at the front is always the friendliest and serves with a smile every time.

We often have a take away from here. Always good tasty food at reasonable price. Food always ready when it is time to collect.

I went myself a few months ago. After looking through the extensive menu I decided to order a satay chicken with noodles which for a main and side was strangely expensive as my bill came to £16 pound odd. I decided not to challenge it as I was hopeful the Chinese would be good, I waited under 10 minutes till I received it (slightly worrying). How wrong was I...... when I got home I got slimy pale chicken in gooey grey sauce, stupidly spicy. I am not a fussy person but for the first time, I decided to have beans on toast instead. How disappointing ......

High quality. Good value. Very efficient. It's great that they've reopened. Cash only. Nice sauces on the food. Excellent varied menu. Clean. Friendly staff.

was craving a Chinese and heard the one in darley dale opened back up so thought I would give it a try. ordered chicken balls with curry sauce instead of sweet and sour. Singapore chowmein, prawn crackers and a black pepper sauce £20 total!!! the chicken balls batter was horrendous at best! im a chef myself and I would be ashamed to serve that. tasted like loads of cornflour in the batter and really dry! Singapore chow mein tastes burnt and had no flavour and was a small portion for the price.. matlock Chinese give you enough for two people and actually taste good. curry sauce and prawn crackers was the best. peper sauce was thin and not the best at all! I rang up as soon as I tasted and complained and all I got was OK ill tell the chef! no apology and no offer to cook and again and no offer for a refund! really bad customer service. I can guarantee thst if you carry on with that quality you will be out of business soon! if your customer isn't happy with the service you should admit your mistake and offer a solution.... again as a passionate chef I would highly avoid at all costs. alot better food local! hope this honest opinion gets your attention and you sort your business out

Had my usual fill and was good as expected, would recommend to anybody wanting some nice Chinese food, thumbs up from me!

We called up and complained because the food was poor and then found a black hair in the batter of the chip. Definitely not ours because it was cooked in the batter. On the phone was she was extremely rude and impatient. Told us the re pack the food in the boxes and bring it back to get a full refund. When the food was returned, she was adamant it was not a hair and then it was not their hair and not a black hair. I am not colour blind, it was clearly a black hair. The chef could see we were right and tried to reason with her. She threatened to call the police to have the hair tested. Do you really think we would spend our Friday night to get a refund when we had three mouthfuls of food and to do three journeys and was that much petrol? She also said “I can’t believe you’re this type of person”, even though she is in the wrong. Additionally, she lied and denied saying she would give a full refund over the phone if we returned the food in the boxes. To top it off we didn’t get the full refund. The food was below average, but Jesus Christ the service was unbelievable! Without a doubt the worse customer service I’ve ever received.

We have had take away meals from here about 6 times now and have always been pleased by the freshness and quality. Highly recommended.

Yes , we were away and could not be bothered to cook as we were stopping in a lodge local to here. So take away it is...good food, good price.. polite staff...and yes we came back a 2nd time few days later

Very popular with the locals and have some great noodles.. The duck curry goes down well too. Phone through in advance seems to work for us

I’m now a local to this takeaway and I can honestly say it is great value for money and each new meal I try I am never disappointed. If you ask for your meal less/more spicy salty or however your preference then that is what you will get! Simple meal , I would always choose a “3 in 1” large tray of chips curry sauce and rice! Always so fresh and never hides bad chips with curry sauce like a lot of Chinese takeaways. When ordering with a few ppl we always feel like we have received far too much food. The only “complaint” I have to be perfectly honest !

Great food proper fresh chicken breast on the ss chicken balls and hardly any grease my wifes kung po chicken dish was the same .Probably the best quality meat we have had from a take away.Will be our first port of call for a take away if in the area again

While staying in the area, we stumbled across this little takeaway and despite mixed reviews on TA, decided to give it a go. No regrets at all. The food was piping hot and of really good quality and the wait wasn't too long, despite the shop heaving with customers. Set Meal D for 3 and a Chicken Chow Mein did 4 adults. Two negatives; We had three trays of egg fried rice which was probably too much, maybe a plain chop suey incorporated into the set meal instead? Also frustratingly, this place does not accept payment by card, so once we'd ordered, we had to get back in the car to find a cashpoint. Not ideal but no great issue. Definitely recommend for a cheapish Chinese.

We arrived at 5.23 (the takeaway was due to open at 5.30), myself and my husband perused the menu outside whilst we waited for someone to unlock the door. There was a gentleman behind the counter who saw us waiting and completely ignored us, choosing to repeatedly answer the phone for phone orders instead. We waited patiently until 5.43 (the door was still locked and the lights off), the man behind the counter still refusing to acknowledge us and we decided to pop to the shop and try to ring the order through. This however turned out to be as pointless as waiting outside, either the phone was engaged or it was ignored. We returned to the takeaway at 5.55 which was now full of waiting customers. On entering, we were once again blanked by the lady behind the counter, who went in to the back only to return 5 minutes later and answer the phone!!! When she did eventually speak to us, we were told very abruptly that the wait for food was 20 minutes, at which point I was so disappointed with the place I didn't want to spend my hard earned money there!

What a brilliant Cantonese takeaway, the food is always first class and served by a really nice Chinese lady. The menu is extensive and priced very reasonably and whenever you ring there's never a problem in ordering and you always get a very friendly reply at the end " fifteen minutes ".

While staying in the area on holiday we tried this one night for tea. The food was lovely. Would definitely recommend and would certainly go again.

Cantón cocina no es un restaurante y está a sólo para llevar. Usamos cocina cantonesa cada vez tenemos una comida para llevar y la comida es deliciosa, no iría a otro chino como sabemos la comida siempre es deliciosa y caliente. Recomendamos cocina cantonesa cada vez. Tenemos la comida "familia feliz" que es delicioso y el hongo chow mien. Gran servicio y bien merece una visita que estoy seguro que no te decepcionará con la elección y el sabor de la comida.

Nos comida para llevar orden dos veces al mes y es absolutamente precioso. Anillo con antelación a fin temprano o se le cola por la edad, en los fines de todo el pueblo debe pedir. Nos encanta la sal y pimienta, la chili costillas cura cualquier frío. La salsa curry es increíble, y el tazón de hadas especial es delicado, nos gusta que chow mein con simple. Los platos de carne son tiernas y el pollo está tierno. Nunca nos ha decepcionado nunca, es auténtica string, sabores deliciosos si alubias negras orden de... He visto algunas críticas en yell.com whinging y sólo puedo imaginar que viven de Vesta chow mein. Gran lugar, vale la pena pasear y esperar... Mucho pedir que querrá comer el día después.

He estado en este para llevar unas cuantas veces, tiendo a ir después de las 8 porque es mucho menos concurrida, en un día laborable es menor. La comida es de la calidad que puede esperar y encima en la mayoría de los casos, el precio no se refleja sin embargo. La última vez que fui a comprar comida desde aquí era para una reunión de amigos, y 5 de nosotros, no tengo ninguna queja. Señora amable y agradable en el mostrador. Sin duda volvería.

Rubbish. Lower than terrible. Zero stars. People complaining about their orders. One person taking orders over the counter AND over the phone. Too much for one! Extremely over priced. Our order was wrong but since we'd paid for it and ordered at 6pm sat and...

Vivimos localmente en esta china así que pedimos desde aquí dos veces, la primera vez que no era genial, pero pedimos otra vez a negar la nos dieron una habitación mala ... la segunda comida que tuvimos desde aquí era horrible.

Love this Chinese, it's the only one around here we will use! Delicious food at very reasonable prices, good quality and plenty of it! We usually order for 4 people, costs about £35 and we never manage to eat it all!! Would definitely recommend :)

Fancied a Chinese but didn't want to go far so tried the local chineseI ordered crispy shredded beef water chesnuts and bean sprouts and sweet sour chicken balls Got home and tucked in and the food was lovely A little bit on the dear side but it made up for the quality quantity off the dishes The load was lovely and the only thing I could moan about is the parking and I struggled to find any where to park

Never fails to excel. Food always piping hot and so tasty.Always so busy which is such a good sign.Had to wait extra this Sunday as so busy.Well worth the wait.If you want a bad stomach,Juicey 23 , try the one in Bakewell.Its either in the bin, or in the toilet.!!!

Used to be good but the last few months the food has been awful. It's either under cooked or extremely greasey. Not as busy as it used to be, so that says a lot. Had a bad stomach twice from here so won't be using them again.

This place is gorgeous its always busy and it does very well. I go here alot for me and my familys tea. The lady on the counter is always so friendly and helpful. Definitely a good place for a takeaway.

Have been using this take away for a couple of years now.We have NEVER had a bad meal. We have tried various items on the menu and everything has been excellent. They are always busy with telephone calls for orders.The Lady who takes the orders is lovely and friendly.What I love is the FRESH pineapple in their dishes.Makes such a difference .Cant recommend any dishes because all so good.!!!!Just wish they had a delivery service.!!!!
