Ham, egg and chips off the specials board, what a treat! It was busy when e arrived (we nabbed the last available table) which shows how popular this place is, and with good reason. Even though it was busy, the staff were friendly and attentive and we didn't wait long at all for our meals, which comprised thick slices of roast ham with not a trace of fat, two fried eggs and the most amazing chips. Loved everything about this place and can't wait to return.

A nice spot to grab lunch with a good menu. Portions are huge (especially kids meals) and food is high quality. It’s a dog friendly location, with a dog food menu, which was a nice touch. Staff were a bit grumpy, but I think the seagulls were stressing them out. We sat outside and had a great view of the castle walls, the road isn’t busy so it was very relaxing.

Food came quick, was INCREDIBLY tasty, brioche french toast with high quality bacon! Well worth the price and just so lovely after a weekend of hiking.

Cantin cafe is situated by the bodlondeb park and Conwy cricket field. Paid parking is nearby to look around the town after which is 50 metres away. The cafe is open with pictures on the walls and both high and low tables inside and lower tables outside. The food is reasonably price and good decent food. Again there are soups, baguettes etc and good coffee. Outside there are dog cushions, snacks and water so dogs are more than welcome. Worth a visit if passing

This place does the best hot chocolate. It’s hot and it’s appropriately chocolatey. So good I came back another day to have more!

Popped in for a coffee whilst having time to spare in conwy and wow what a lovely place. Decor light and airy and welcoming staff. Fabulous outdoor space especially for dog owners. Blankets,water bowls and treats provided for the 4 legged custom. We didn't eat but the food that came out looked delicious and smelt amazing. Drawing books and pencils readily available for children to help themselves to and a selection of games. Toilets clean and well stocked with any essentials you may need. Will definitely be back again to try a tasty looking breakfast. Prices typical for tourist location.

Aug 2023 - Visited Cantîn on a day visit to Conwy. We visited for brunch. Really enjoyed our meal. Ordered 1x eggs benedict and 1x full breakfast with drinks. Portions were really good. Eggs Benedict included thick bacon and well poached eggs with lots of sauce. Breakfast was really good. The only thing that could have made it better would be thicker toast. The hash browns, sausages and bacon were really delicious! Unfortunately, whilst we were there some other customers became incredibly rude and threatening towards the staff, after being asked to ensure the walkways were clear for wheelchairs and prams. Completely uncalled for. The staff dealt with it extremely well, despite appearing physically shaken afterwards. We did check in to see if they were ok and to reassure them that the people were out of line. Luckily they decided to leave. Would definitely be back. Would like to try some other meals on the menu.

Really nice large cafe, outdoor seating is extensive and great for large groups or families with dogs and play park in view of seating area so our boys played there until food was ready! Food was plentiful and presented well, nice and hot and staff great! Very helpful, huge toilets and baby changing facilities and immaculately Clean, this will be our cafe of choice when back in Conwy at Easter

Seen this place online, seen it had good reviews and was dog friendly so thought we would try it. Unfortunately the weather was bleak, it was really cold and wet. Upon entering we were told dogs are not allowed inside. Only outside. Because we had a new born we needed to sit inside. Place looked lovely but unfortunately it’s not dog friendly so we couldn’t stay.

Lovely place in a modern building just outside the mediaeval town walls of Conwy. We had some food from the specials menu today. A big pork bap/barm/bread roll with apple sauce and stuffing. I had creamy garlic mushrooms served on toasted sour dough with an interesting salad and nice 'slaw'. (Why don't cafes call it coleslaw anymore?) I forgot to specifically request brown bread for the kids sandwich and I had to go back and ask. Even though the sandwich was more or less made, they accommodated and wasn't a problem. 👍

What gem this is. Great staff and good choices available.

*2nd Visit* Our party ordered both a classic full English breakfast and a veggie version. Both were lovely, reasonably priced and served promptly. 🍳 *1st visit* Stopped for drinks. They accidentally over-charged by £10 due to of a mistake made with the order. Refund was issued no problem. Quiet and peaceful area to sit away from the hubbub of the tourists. Wouldn't order an iced frappé again as it wasn't well made. But they serve nice loose leaf teas. Very dog-friendly if you want to sit in the cosy covered outdoor area, (which is the main appealing aspect of the café), which I personally didn't like. But I understand I am the minority in that regard, - and it's perfect for dog owners being located near the park and a popular walking spot. 😊☕

The service was good and so was the food from the menu. Although the cake was a little dry and stale, unfortunately.

Attached to the library, good for kids

We visit every time we take our grandchildren to the nearby playground. Always good service and food. We also like the library in the same building where we can take our grandchildren to play with Lego and look for books.

Went here for a chill lunch after being attacked by a seagull on the harbour and it delivered! The lovely employees got food out very quickly and were so nice to both me and the other customers we watched come through

Really great breakfast options. - able to fully customise the full English, no issues.... Even create your own Would recommend. Only gripe, Orange juice wasn't fresh, but I should have asked before ordering.

Don't underestimate this place. What a fab coffee shop/café. They cater for all. I had a lovely gluten and dairy free club sandwich and a vanilla latte. Yum!

Fairly nice café with lovely staff but some crazy prices. £2.80 for a can of Fanta, £5.95 for a breakfast barm and £8.95 for a toastie! I don't get the roller coaster pricing. Food was fine.

I've been eating and drinking at Cantin for a year or two. Delicious lunchtime food always served with a smile, also a free drink given if you have enough ticks on your drink card. Beautiful surroundings and an excellent loo.

Went for breakfast. Setting was nice staff were efficient and food was of good quality unfortunately let down by being lukewarm and served on cold plates. I doubt very much if it would have met the Food Standard Agency guidelines of 63oC

Stopped here for a drink and cake whilst Walking round the walls. The staff were very friendly. They had dog beds, treats and water bowls for use. The loose leaf tea was really nice and the cake was super. Lovely clean loos.

Had a coffee here coffee was fine but service wast amazing if I'm honest. Young girls who clearly had better things to do than serve customers. No enthusiasm. Shame looks a nice place overall.

Very nice culture center .. Cafe is fabulous, staff okay.. Cake was very nice.. The only criticism I have is the coffee.. The water used is boiling and scorching the coffee.. Not sure of the grade of the bean being used as it was impossible to tell over the bitter burnt taste.. Shame as I really like the place.. I would go again and would use the cafe again.. maybe next time have a tea or cold drink

Very busy cafe as Conwy was holding a Pirates Extravaganza in town. The staff were all dressed as Pirates and the cafe was suitably decorated. Even the meals on the Specials Board and desserts were aptly renamed with a Pirates theme. Superb attention to detail. We had breakfast, drinks and dessert. It was a delicious meal. Never disappointed when we visit.

This is a little gem! OK, the menu is not overly extensive, but there are daily "specials", baked potatoes, sandwiches, and Paninis. First visit today and I chose the brie and cranberry Panini with a rasher of bacon accompanied by a glass of elderflower juice. It was all delicious, presented well, and served carefully. Lovely vibe to the place, great setting, welcoming and enthusiastic staff, spotlessly clean (including the loos) and all in all a great discovery. Sally and her team are great. See you again.

Just dropped by for a cup of tea. The quality of the tea was very good. We went for the leaf tea self brew. Got enough tea for for 2 good cups each. With plenty of milk. Do have to say it was quite expensive at 2.75 each.

As usual freshly cooked tasty food. Good service. Very clean condition.

Long waits for drinks and even longer for food despite only half the tables being taken. Tables really sticky. Coffee was excellent.

Came for breakfast this morning after the remembrance Sunday parade, despite the cafe being extremely busy and short staffed our breakfasts arrived promptly, piping hot as did our coffees. staff are very friendly and accommodating, definitely will be back, thanks Cantin!

Lovely staff. We had a cup of tea. Then I had another one with a tea bag. To be honest they didn't taste that different. We all had a cake and then we're nice. Not a bad place to stop for a rest, re fuel and toilet. There were a lot of wasps around though.

We thoroughly enjoyed the food, the service and the atmosphere at this little gem of a café. It's close to the town centre, but away from the main hussle and bussle. The food we ordered (Welsh rarebit with lots of trimmings) was delicious 😋. We took away cakes as well and these were also very nice. We used the outside seating and this was very popular with customers with dogs - well behaved dogs got a biscuit from the staff. The staff really made the visit enjoyable for us - very courteous and helpful, and they ensured that customers followed the covid-19 measures in place. We had an enjoyable chat with two of the staff who gave us some good tips on places to visit while we were staying nearby. We would definitely visit this café again and recommend it to others.

We thought we would try this cafe in Conwy as it is quite new. First of all it was tricky to find the way in as it was cordoned off with a red and white barrier and the board with instructions was facing away from view so we walked around the building only to about turn to the original red and white barrier so had to wait for one of the assistants to notice we were waiting and it wasn't busy! We weren't the only ones finding it hard to find the entrance. Once in we ordered our food - the drinks were served quickly but we waited for our sandwiches for 45 mins before going back to the counter asking if they had forgotten us and we were sitting right opposite the counter! Yes they hadn't processed the order! Blamed the till process! Our parking ticket was running out of time - we were so annoyed. Somehow you would of thought the girl who served us would have noticed as we were seated immediately opposite her. I ordered a ham sandwich which should have been served with crisps and salad. I was given 3 crisps! Very Poor!

Lovely cafe with beautiful views of Conwy Castle walls. Lots of greenery around too. Expansive glass windows to show off views. Loose teas that are really tasty. We didn't eat there. The loos were clean, spacious and very modern!
