Fantastic pizza on Friday night. Super fresh and great menu. Strongly recommend!

Just amazing. Words fail me just how amazing this dining is. I had told my wife how the breakfast was the best full breakfast I had eaten. Eventually I returned and this time with my wife. And she now understands why I say this is the BEST breakfast I have ever eaten, well until the next time I visit and it will be the best again and again. Thank you. Great cafe and great food. We had a number of breakfasts here over our week's stay in Snowdonia. We also had pizza on 2 nights. Tasty and quality food with good portion sizes. Highly recommended eatery.

Great cheap food,big portion sizes and kind staff

We stayed in Betws-y-Coed for 2 days and stopped 3 times in this great place. We stopped for breakfast, dinner and a snack. After a long hike in the area we were lucky enough to catch the pizza night (only 2x week) and as Italian I can confirm you the quality was great! One other thing I truly recommend you to try is the cakes: had one of the best Carrot and peacan cakes ✨

This is a great spot to enjoy a hearty breakfast, making it the perfect way to start your day during a trip to Snowdonia. The café had a cozy atmosphere and a lovely view of the river, making it the perfect setting for a relaxing morning. Everything was cooked to perfection with good flavours and generous portion. The coffee was rich and smooth, and the service was friendly and efficient.

Delicious sandwiches! We got takeaway and sat out in the sun to eat them.

Fantastic English breakfast with wholegrain seeded bread and lots of options to customise dishes based on your preference. The children's breakfast was a big portion and staff were extremely friendly. The hash browns were really crispy and the best we've ever had! Real shame that they are closed on Wednesday and Thursday otherwise we would have definitely had multiple meals at Caban-y-Pair!

We called in here for breakfast to break up our journey home, and it was amazing! The coffee was hot and delicious and the breakfasts were fabulous. My husband’s veggie breakfast was huge and my daughter was very impressed with the child’s breakfast which was again a generous size. I had the breakfast tacos which sounded delicious and did not disappoint! They are officially my new favourite breakfast and I’m going to have to try to recreate them at home! I’d highly recommend you visit this cafe, such a friendly welcome and faultless food.

Fantastic little cafe. Great location with a car park just the other side of the river. Loved the Welsh Rarebit and scones. Bara brith and shortbread looked great too, think everything is homemade. Really friendly service and a nice atmosphere, highly recommended

Very nice little cafe. Friendly welcome and lovely setting. We had the big full english and it was excellent! Ordered toast and jam for my little boy and as he was playing up a little they asked if we would like his to come out before so he wasnt waiting which made life easier 🤣. Food was fresh and tasty we empited our plates!!! Service was great. Friendly lady and waitress. And the homemade cakes we bought to take away were delish!!!

Disappointing. Incorrect order initially brought out. Then went on to serve a meat sausage sandwich to my wife who ordered a veggie sausage sandwich. She'd eaten most of it before the penny dropped. Then got to the till and price was roughly £10 more than it should have been. Had to query - extra items we hadn't ordered included in bill. Price of incorrect meat sausage sandwich was then deducted to say sorry. Won't return sadly.

What a great cafe a real little gem with super friendly staff. The foods spot on & the coffee is great. Hard to find independent cafe's like this well worth a visit. Last but not least the staff were on it....busy and making it happen a good experience.

Super, cozy, dog friendly cafe. We had a BLT and a toasted HLT (haloumi) with chips and drinks. Very tasty, great quality ingredients. We will be visiting again. Thank you for making us and our dogs so welcome

We visited early January for early lunch and were very impressed. We both ordered the breakfast and hot drinks. The breakfast items were all good quality, including what seemed to be home made chunky wholemeal bread toast. The americano coffee came with a small jug of hot milk and the food was served on hot plates. Small touches make a difference including provision of sanitary products in the toilets for customer's needs. We live locally and whenever we visit betws again we will return, thank you !

Friendly young staff. Unfortunately run out of toasted tea cake so had bara brith cake which was delicious. Hot mocha lovely. Friends had Bacon brie and cranberry toasted sandwich which looked amazing , came with small side salad. Prices average

Though local we had never eaten at the Caban-Y-Pair, so thought it was about time we gave it a try. Unfortunately we will not be returning any time soon. We visited for lunch and ordered two meals and hot drinks. Drinks were nice and arrived quickly. My meal was ok, not great but ok. Unfortunately my wife’s meal wasn’t so straightforward. Firstly both our meals went to the wrong table. I noticed this kept happening with the majority of the orders whilst we were there. My wife had asked for no tomatoes on here toasty (luckily she isn’t allergic). When our meals eventually arrived via the table across the room. Her meal had tomatoes on it. We made the waitress aware and as it was her that took the order she remembered and returned it to the kitchen. After ~10 mins the meal reappeared. My wife could only stomach half the toasty though as all the kitchen had done was scrape some of the tomato off the toasty, it still contained a lot of tomato. As I mentioned my wife is not allergic to tomatoes luckily. The waitress never returned to check and appeared to avoid our table as she knew what the kitchen had done. My wife didn’t want to make any more of a fuss and was hungry. So we finished our drinks and paid. We did raise it with the other waitress who apologised but did not offer to take the toasty off the bill etc. I had noticed a sign on the window advertising for experienced staff. I think this probably goes some way to explaining our issues. The staff seemed inexperienced and lacked the awareness of their actions. Had my wife been allergic then the kitchen’s actioned could have been far more serious. Overall a very disappointing experience. Betws has numerous other places to eat. And we will be sticking with our regular places.

We just stopped by to have coffee and tea - both were nice and hot. Service was quick, staff was friendly and kind.

We will not eat here again. I thought the food was fine but I didn't enjoy the manager's lock (maybe) joking with customers about who spoke the least Welsh after living here for twenty years. And then make excuses for why you don't want to learn! That attitude is not acceptable in this day and age, especially when you work in a cafe in the middle of Snowdonia.

It has been an incredible and wonderful discovery to have found this little restaurant. The pizzas, one of the best I've ever tasted. From where I was I could see how they were preparing the dough, stretching it... and all the great ingredients. Highly recommend the Carnivale pizza, but the other two that the rest of my family ordered (peperoni and buffalo) were just as good. If in addition to all this we add an attention of ten, what more can I ask for? A pity that it is away from the restaurant area, but really walking is a maximum of 10 minutes from the center. It is worth the walk. Most people wait a long time in line to go to Hangin' Pizzeria without knowing that what they will eat here will be spectacular. I wish you the best because we really had a great dinner. Thank you very much Caban-y-Pair

Food absolutely fab, well priced and certainly worth a visit, much better than some of the other offerings at the top end of the village. Only downside is the fact it's only open Fri-Mon... other than that, all good.

Food basic pub food but certainly recommended. Steak far better than expected for price. Spotlessly clean even though old fashioned. Large D of E Group arrived so once taken their orders did have to refuse further kitchen orders for while but barmaid coped really well, didn't get ruffled handled the queue alone. Shame we couldn't try dessert but overall a good meal.

This little gem of a place serves absolutely delicious pizzas. It is hands down the best pizza in the village. They also make hand cut skin on chips which are also lovely. We ate there twice in 2 days! There are other pizzerias around but this place is not only reasonably priced but also more delicious and varied in menu. It is cash only.

Best pizzas in town by far(and most reasonably priced too) Staying in the area so tried most takeaways but this one stood out for sure. The pizzas were absolutely amazing, speedy service and staff super friendly. 100% reccomend.

Best pizza I've had! 100% worth a visit if you're in the area, I'm a gluten free veggie so sometimes tricky for me to find food but there were so many options to choose from! My partner is a gluten meat eater and also had ample choice! BYO drink with corkage of £2 PP or soft drinks available. Extemly reasonable prices!!!

This pizza was GREAT! Crust was as light as a feather with just the right amount of charring. We pre-ordered using FB Messenger in the morning because it’s a bit crazy in Betws-y-Coed with summertime-post-Covid-everything-sold-outness. But 100% recommended.

Heard chef slagging off customers in the kitchen....food as unpleasent as the staff! Stay well clear!!

There are a few places serving pizzas in this town. We decided to opt for this one, a grave mistake. They had three tables with customers and warned us it would only be take away, we agreed since the weather was nice. After placing our order they asked us to get cash. We left to get cash out, came back but unfortunately they didn't have enough change so they allowed us to pay by card but the system wouldn't connect. We offered to go to a shop and buy something to break the note. Before we went to get change we asked for the order to be transferred to the kitchen in the meantime because we were aware of the delay. We got back and paid for our pizzas. The waitress had forgotten to pass the order to the kitchen so she told us we could pick them up in 50 minutes. After 50 minutes we went back to get our pizzas. They decided to inform us at this point, rather than when we initially ordered that they didn’t have the ingredients for one of the pizzas, we just asked for whatever they could get out fastest, got told wait 5 minutes, they came out in 15 they offered us a £4 compensation, fair enough. By the time we eventually sat down to eat, probably about an hour and a half after actually first ordering we realised that the pizza we asked for no cheese on has cheese and had no artichokes. The mini pizza with anchovies had a grand total of two anchovies. We could not be bothered any more to go back to that place once again. Luckily, we realised that the person serving not only returned our money when we tried to pay but also gave us another £20 back accidentally. So thank you for the free but disappointing and extremely stressful pizzas, I suppose…not sure it was worth it.

The behaviour from staff was awful, they were extremely rude to us when we walked in, even though we bought some food we were still asked to leave, I would recommend young people to stay away.

If you are looking for a light lunch, coffee or a nice piece of cake then this place is very good. You will find this cafe on the other side of the Swallow waterfall.

Ordered food and drinks of Tea. Cafe almost empty. CASH ONLY.! NO CARDS TAKEN.!! Not the beat tea bags used, so that could be better. Cafe filled up. Everyone else received their order, we were still waiting. A total of 47 minutes, being ignored. Received apologies constantly. As diabetics (not informed staff as private and confidential really). Would have preferred the food than apoligies as I was going Hypo.! Waitress 'forgot' to hand our order to kitchen staff.!?!? Plenty of excellent places to dine in Bettws, sadly not this one. Diabetics be warned.!!

Pretty bad. Worst scones I've ever had in my life, 1 solitary sultana and so dry they crumbled to dust. The scones were served with UHT whipped cream from a can, that sort of thing should be a criminal offence. The final nail in the cafe's coffin was the sheer amount of loose leaf tea they put in the pot, I could've tarred a roof with the bitter unsinkable tea that resulted. 2 stars because they gave us our money back when we complained, otherwise it'd have been 1.

Love this place. We quite often eat here as the food is great and very reasonably priced. The staff are friendly. I would recommend anyone visiting Betwys y Coed to go and eat here or at the very least have a coffee here.
