Cammies in Aberdeenshire

We have just returned home after having had the most lovely experience dining at Cammies. Beautiful, tasty, plentiful, reasonably priced carvery. Friendly staff. Lovely surroundings..and the best part..a welcoming, relaxing, totally chilled atmosphere. What Sundays are made for! Highly recommend you try it! 😋

Whilst on holiday in Scotland, my wife was looking to book a restaurant for a birthday treat and found Cammies. What an excellent choice. The food was exquisite and the staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming and attentive. The restaurant is spacious, modern and situated in a lovely location. There is also plenty of car parking available. Prior to visiting, my wife was aware the restaurant required 24 hours notice for seafood platter orders, but was not aware they also required the same notice period for just lobster or crab orders, so we were unhappy to celebrate with a lobster meal as hoped, but we didn’t let this minor back stop us from having a fantastic meal and time. A fantastic birthday meal and a pleasurable dining experience. We hope to return again during our next holiday… hopefully in the not too distant future.

Wonderful people and wonderful food! We enjoyed our meal tremendously. Sunday buffet included roasted turkey, beef prime rib, and pork loin. Six fresh veggie sides and Yorkshire pudding completed the delicious homecooked buffet. Desserts and starters were separate. We highly recommend the apple pie. Yummy! The staff were very pleasant and fun to visit with. Our next trip to Scotland will definitely include a visit to Cammies!

Absolutely wonderful service. Such friendly staff. Super high quality food and very relaxed atmosphere. Top notch all round. Best Sunday lunch in the area.

We stopped in for lunch today. Cannot recommend Cammies more. We felt really looked after and everyone was so friendly. I had the sole and it was cooked to perfection with beautifully cooked vegetables and lovely home made dauphinois potatoes. Hubby had the burger and chips and he really enjoyed it. Lovely place, great food and wonderful people.

My wife and I enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea at Cammies. A wide range of Ceylon teas are available, and the charming server offered us refills at no extra charge. Generous selection of sandwiches, scones, and sweet treats. Also, some tasty Sri Lankan savoury bites to start with. A nice, relaxing experience.

Thought we would try Cammies for a birthday treat. We weren't disappointed. The welcome was great, the seafood all delicious and really helpful service all in a nice relaxed atmosphere. Would definitely say it's worth visiting

We went here for my Dad's birthday and it was excellent. Despite the fact that everyone ordered different aspects of the menu we were all happy. The staff were very attentive and also really likeable, in fact I would give the restaurant an extra star for them. I would really recommend

Came here as a family for mother day for the Carvery food was excellent and staff was really friendly and helpful we will definitely be coming back. And the price is resanble thanks we had a fantastic time.

We had a meeting followed by what can only be described as the meal of a lifetime. Pipping hot and top quality with first class service.

Christmas day disaster. the whole day was ruined for us and the family. starters were basic to say the least we had to wait nearly and hour for the buffet main course to be replenished and even then it was cold and had to be reheated desert took again over 5o mins to be served despite being a pre-prepared drinks service was non existent the waiting staff were pushing a trolley round clearing tables into a bucket on the trolly !!! Some of the staff had their kids with them also distracting them from serving it seemed to be badly planned and ill thought out. I doubt the waiting staff had any training we wont be back

"Oh what fun" the staff Christmas jumpers had it right... Christmas lunch was an utter shambles! The chairs were faulty and legs ready to collapse when sat on, the table wobbled, only one fork and knife for a 3 course meal and that was just the start. The starters came out fine but no one knew which was the different types of pate were. The main was carvery but we were told twice to sit back down as they were topping things up, not a problem, but you think the fresh food would be warm. All for plates of food was freezing cold and had to be microwaved. We asked for another round of drinks 4 times and had to go and collect this ourselves from the bar after 30 minutes of waiting for a pint and a cranberry and soda. The waiters were running around (one literally fell on his bottom) but no one had a clue where anything went, they'd walk around with starters/drinks/pudding to the wrong table several times, this showed the utter chaos and no organisation. Several drinks were spilled, glasses broken and the spilt drinks just sat on the floor despite small children running around (extremely dangerous). A waitress was far more concerned what her child was doing (not a paid guest but just a small child with clearly no where else to go) than serving paying customers. She also walked around without shoes on for the majority of our meal, very unhygienic. This was not the relaxing Christmas out we had planned for. I spoke with the manager at this point, who listened to my disappointment and said she would speak to staff then come back to my table to compensate. She never came back and the bill was not compensated. We had to ask for our pudding twice and the bill 4 times and eventually went to the bar to pay our bill. Not one person had a clue what was going on today and this really showed. Utter chaos on Christmas day. Despite being previous regular customers, we will not be back.

Cosy atmosphere, Lovely welcome. Attentive service. Nice menu at respectable prices. Chef and crew engaging, interesting and cheerful. Food exquisite. Worth considering for Hogmanay

Slow service, wrong orders and cold food. Don't do reviews but this was shocking. Shame on a witness

A hidden gem in Cammachmore under different management. On a Sunday we had a great experience. We were welcomed by friendly staff who chatted to us about the refurbished restaurant. There was an exhibition of Ceylon teas as the owners have first hand knowledge of this delicacy. We enjoyed a lovely carvery with generous portions. Seafood paella was also part of the carvery unusually! Look out for their Sri Lankan buffet nights and the Christmas Fayre with Sri Lankan street food. We will be back!

Fantastic seafood really enjoyed my meal last night, very tasty lobster. Cheese board was huge! Good selection of drinks. Great value for money. Thank you for a great meal and service!

Visited Saturday night 16/9 , service was slow and waited over an hour for 3 simple meals steak and ale pie , an over priced shop bought burger and chicken Schnitzel all meals arrived individually the last to arrive was the chicken which was raw in the middle , waitress was apologetic but no comment from management , avoid at all costs ,

A fantastic combination of cuisines marvellous seafood - with a srilankan twist - highly recommended family run very friendly and extremely helpful staff.

I visited with two friends. Really friendly staff who were very helpful re the menu. I opted for the haddock which was more like a whale, it was so big! Very fresh fish, in a very light batter. Great chips too!

For a recently opened restaurant the service was good on a busy night. Monkfish curry was excellent, a whole new set of flavours. Management was very welcoming and friendly. This was our third visit and it gets better every time!
