Calilo (Simply Bar & Grill) in Leeds

The best Greek style restaurant I have ever visited go hungry the portions are huge the prices are perfect and the food is amazing I would give it 6/5 stars my wife took me here after a lovely night at a spa hotel near to the restaurant and it was truly the perfect location food and atmosphere

Had an amazing meal with desserts & the staff were absolutely amazing ! We can’t wait to be back! Staff couldn’t do enough for us & catered to everyone’s needs even an allergy!

I ordered a flat white and a bagel, yes there was a few people in but they take your order then you sit down, so there were two people in front of me, one behind me. Instead of making the coffee as you order and sending the food order to the kitchen. I waited 15 minutes for my coffee and 25 minutes for a toasted bagel. Earlier customers were going up to ask where drinks were, and how long food was taking. They had been waiting over half an hour. I only went because it was my granddaughters nativity play nearby. I wont be going back.

Was lunch wasn't very busy but was nice chairs bit close for bigger people, very limited parking

Outstanding service and amazing food . All of the staff we encountered were fantastic but special thanks to Iman, a lovely lady who I felt went the extra mile ensuring that our party were looked after as we celebrated a birthday. I will definitely be recommending the restaurant to others and will be back to visit again.

It would be hard to find fault with this excellent restaurant. Outstanding Mediterranean cuisine, not one of our party of ten, had anything but praise for the meal. Considering the size of our table, nothing was too much trouble. The staff were attentive and so friendly. The menu offered such a wide choice of both starters and mains, all of which sounded so nice that I had trouble deciding. I was not disappointed with my choice of a grilled Camenbert with honey to start, and main course of Lamb Chops. Both dishes were outstanding. I'm certainly looking to return in the very near future to try other delights from the menu. The prices make it possible to indulge yourself, and perhaps a friend, without costing you a fortune. I highly recommend Calilo

Can't rate this place highly enough.. have been quite a few times and food was lovely on each occasion.

Ordered 2 mixed gyros, asked if we could swap chicken for donner meat, was told we could. The bill came we were charged an extra £12 for this!!! The pork was extremely dry, like it was re heated from day before. Waiter wasnt great understanding english so felt complaining would be a long process. £48 for 2 gyro and 2 soft drinks.

Second time I’ve been and again it was delicious 😋 the chicken skewered kebab is gorgeous

I had a delicious lunch out with my family. They catered well for my mum's allergies too.

The place is quite cozy, good atmosphere. We had chicken and pork gyros which exceeded our expectations and were really good. The "Tyrokafteri", spicy Greek feta dip, was amazing, too. We will definitely be back for more .

What a hidden gem this is! From walking through the door you are greeted by the friendliest front of house, the whole place has a great feel to it and a buzzing atmosphere. The food is the best Greek food I’ve had in the UK and really reasonably priced for the quality of food. I feel like this is my new fave and I can’t wait to go back.

We've been getting food from Calilo for years. Sometimes we take out, sometimes we eat in. The food is always great and the portion sizes are perfect. The staff are really friendly and clearly care about the food and service. I can't recommend them highly enough. PS: They do great breakfast too.

It's now called Hi Coffee but it's the same company that did Calilo/Simply Bar and Grill. The food was perfect. We went for brunch and had eggs royale and then a nutella baklava. Very very happy

Chicken Gyros could have been better - the meet was not soft, neither fresh. Enjoyed the fries.

Food and service excellent. However, the venue is small and, as a result, can feel cramped. Consequently, the atmosphere is not as relaxed as it might be. All in all, though, it is certainly worth a visit.

I am slightly worried my husband might want to marry the chef after saying at least 400 times during his meal it was the best meal he has ever had. I have to agree each time we have been the food has been delicious. We are slightly addicted 3 times in 3 weeks. Yum

Lovely food, been ordering from here for ages now but lately terrible customer service. Ordered tonight to be left waiting all night and they're now ignoring the phone with no refund either. Absolutely disgusting service

Evening I went with a friend for a catch up coffee ☕ and food not busy but does get busy

Went for lunch with my children and it was just perfect. There was no kids meals specifically but they were able to split a main meal into two which worked perfectly. The food quality was lovely and the service was great. I must say that the decor is to an extremely high standard and gives the place a real quality feel. Would definitely recommend! 5*

This was my first time visiting for an evening meal with friends . The food was so delicious and freshly made with a varied menu. A great atmosphere and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Fabulous service. What a great asset to our local area.

What an absolute gem! Incredible food, huge portions with fantastic authentic greek flavor. The main plus for us was the fantastic hospitality whilst we were there, good humour from who we assume is the owner. Baklava was also great as a takeaway away treat! Will definitely return

Terrible, they missed the desserts from my takeaway order. When I called, I was told I would have to return to collect it. Not being able to do this I suggested they simply refund me, they refused!!! Thieves pure and simple!

Had the most amazing Greek chicken salad... compliments to the chef. Great place to enjoy dining outside too. Would be great if a small selection of Greek children's menu options were available (smaller portion/cheaper). We will return soon.

We absolutely love the food here and go regularly. The last couple of times we have sadly been disappointed. On our last visit our order was missed and I had to wait another 20 minutes for a takeout, verbal apology given but that was all. On our most recent visit the salad was a massive let down, lots of it had gone brown and was not crispy and fresh. Fresh salad is one of the main parts of greek food! We ordered at 5ish so I would especially expect fresh at the start of evening service. Fingers crossed next time is better and the quality that we used to get remains🤞🏼

Fabulous food every time we come here. Everybody who works here is so lovely and friendly and cannot fault the service. Drinks are spot on too, and theres always the remedy cocktail bar over the road to visit before or/and after for a little tipple. Alternatively if you fancy a bit of brunch.. the chicken club sandwich and a cheeky cappuccino is to die for 😆❤️ 10/10 would recommend 😸🥂

Great greek food. I mean greereeaaaat. The portions are massive and the lamb is to die for. Imman the owner is lovely and really friendly. She's got a really good thing going on here. There's a little restaurant bit above the take away section and feels totally removed from it We go at least once a month. Enjoy

First visit last night. We had a blast the food was absolutely fantastic. I had the lamb kebab. Wow it was delicious. The service was faultless. They couldn't have been any nicer. The owner is such a lovely Gent. Also it's absolutely beautiful inside and outside. We then walked over the road to their Cocktail bar called Remedy. Again brilliant service and such a beautiful tranquil place. Well done for bringing these 2 lovely establishments to our village. Highly recommend a visit you won't be disappointed.

Been here a few times and loved it but last night service really let the place down. They just couldn’t cope with how busy it was. People were moved tables. Orders didn’t arrive. We had to ask and wait. When the manager was told he was downright rude & argumentative, leaning over the table & raising his voice. Totally unacceptable.

What a find! Food was brilliant, as was the service. Must recommend the chocolate baklava if you've a sweet tooth. I was pleasantly surprised, also, when the bill came .

We visited here on Sunday evening & so glad we did , the food was delicious & the service was warm & welcoming . I would definitely recommend , the lamb was cooked to perfection & the baklava was on another level. Cant wait to return .

We came on Saturday evening with all tables booked. We owner, I guess it was him, went an extra mile to fit us in for a dinner. Food was great, fresh and hot, drinks are cold so nothing you can say bad. Staff very polite and friendly. Highly recommended. Just book a table first just in case😁

A fantastic lunch at Calilo!! The Aberdeen Angus burger tasted delicious, very juicy and perfectly seasoned. The service was also 5 stars. Can’t wait to visit for dinner (apparently the mixed grill is not to be missed).

First time here. Amazing food, really friendly staff. We were staying at the Oulton Hall Hotel and haven’t had any decent food since we arrived. Food here is delicious & only a mile from Oulton Hall Hotel. Will definitely recommend to friends and return.

Overall 10/10 Best ribs I’ve ever tasted, service was great , beer was ice cold( very important) . Just can’t wait for the cocktail bar over the road to finally open !

The food is really tasty and makes you feel like you're in Greece. The service was excellent and even though they were really busy, the staff ensured that we had everything that we needed. The atmosphere was excellent and everyone was welcoming. We would highly recommend giving Calilo a try.
