California Pub in Isle of Anglesey

Friendly staff and excellent beers and lagers. With nice local crowd. Free pool table and darts. Three tv screens showing sport events. They have several comfortable bedrooms. Unfortunately no breakfast or dining anymore.

I was told that the restaurant no longer serves food. Pity because they do have rooms and plenty customers in the bar. Even guests cannot get a breakfast.

Great value, friendly, clean. Shame that the kitchen was closed, hopefully temporarily. Single room had everything I needed.

We went I the pub after seeing the pictures of the food and good ratings, thought we would get some nice food but got to the bar only to be told they don't serve food anymore very disappointed, They should update their website so people wouldn't go out of their way to get food, only to be disappointed and a waste of a journey

Not The Hotel California of Eagles fame, but our lunchtime pub grub was lovely. The Landlord who served us drinks and took our order was very friendly and efficient , and everywhere was spotlessly clean , -- plenty of parking, we will be lunching here again .

Our room was clean and comfortable, although too hot at times. Breakfast and our evening meal was plentiful and well-cooked. The bar area is small and does get quite noisy at times but everyone was very friendly and helpful.

Went here for the Sunday football match as they are the only pub around who have BT Sports. We also stayed for Sunday lunch. The food is home cooked and excellent. Highly recommended.

Eaten here twice and had 'The Cali Burger' both times. What more can I say other than absolutely delicious! A big juicy burger which tastes awesome combined with the caramelised onions, cheese and a thick rasher of smoked bacon. Truly perfection! The accompaniments are also of the highest quality.
