Experience with worker was amazing and excellent service and food definitely a good shop perfect for a quick meal that is tasty and the worker is very nice so you should go and try out.

I was hungry all day first the delivery guy was taking forever to deliver my food even though it’s not a far distance only 20 minutes away and the delivery took an hr and a half secondly the potato had some black parts on there like it was raw I would not recommend going here unless you want to be sick I felt really sick after eating this food and it gave a nasty after taste

I went here to get a wrap for my mum, it was one wrap and they took 30 minutes to make it, i’ve never had such slow service before, if it wasn’t for my mum i would’ve gotten a refund and left. After waiting for 30 minutes, he then started to make the wrap and he never washed his hands after he was touching the till and money after taking orders, not to mention the wrap was not properly made, there was no salad and no sauce and the fish inside tasted so inedible, it was rock hard and absolutely nasty, my mum couldnt eat it after seeing how the inside of the wrap was, she was scared that she’d get food poisoning and I wouldnt blame her. I will never return to this place, they need to speed up their service and stop moving around like slugs.

The food is good but not worth the wait. By the time you get your food, it will be be Christmas and probably Ramadan as well. In all seriousness they are way too slow, you will phone them 1 hour before for an order and then will start making it one you arrive. Ridiculous. This place needs faster workers considering it’s a busy place. Not workers who wanna have a chinwag half way thru making your order. This place would be 10\10 if the service was quick. L

We had a double cheese burger meal and the cheese burger was vile no taste at all and the can of pop that we got with the meal called Barr cola no taste to it at all it was disgusting. Need a better can of pop and need to do something about the burgers. I won't be having another cheese burger from here . Paid £9.00 for two double cheese burger meals a waste of money .

Since this fish and chip chop has been taken over by the new owners I've noticed that firstly the quality of the food has gone downhill rapidly, mostly overcooked chicken or the chicken is left in the heating cabinet for far to long, it's dry and the batter is really hard. Secondly the prices have gone up which in all fairness is to be expected due to the C O L but when they go up and quality goes down then that means your paying more for sub standard food, NOT GOOD! Thirdly the staff, oh yes the staff, what is wrong with you eh ? Why do you not greet your customers with a smile or even a simple hello ? You lot are so miserable and unwelcoming it's a surprise you even have any customers. My word you need to understand its the customers who pay your wages so at least have the decency to show them that you value their custom! It's very doubtful I will return but please take on board the constructive criticism, improve the food quality and cheer up for God's sake!

Ordered 4 meals for me and my brothers. I had cheese burger and chips with ketchup and I'm honestly very very disappointed with what I got. I got a piece of fish batter with my chips and they water their sauces that much it turned my burger buns into a sloppy mess (soaked through) The burger was just slidding from the buns and I'm sure I could have mashed my buns together and made mash itself with them. Tried mini cod fish and chips which tasted amazing. Went back and tried the jumbo cod and chips and wasn't as good. Probably different section of cod used for mini fish. Will buy mini cod fish next time.

Mostly i eat food from caldmore fish bar. Food is so delicious and yummy. I like their taste and quality. Staff is so understanding,they always give food on time. Food is cheap and it can easily quenches my hunger.

I bought regular and masala fish with chips it was delicious loved it masala fish taste was excellent and best so far i have eaten in walsall. New team is very engaging keep it up welldone

Food is usually nice however I think their hygiene standards have dropped from when the shop first opened. I bought 3 mini fish and chips and 2 portions of chicken and chips and when I opened my fish and chips I found 2 massive beard hairs on top of my food. On top of that I was the first in the queue and he said it would take 10 minutes to prepare my food but it took well over 20 and the guy was being rude to customers because he couldn't cope with the amount of people that was in the queue. I think they should wear hair nets on their heads and beards when preparing food which is standard food hygiene. I got nothing against beards I have a beard too but when preparing food for the general public you have to be considerate of your customers food not having your hair in there.

Service was OK but the food. Uuurrrggh! I've eaten here before and the food was excellent. Don't know what's happened but the curry sauce was runny and tasted extremely watered down. The fish and chips tasted old and cold. I tried to call to complain but the mailbox was full. Not happy one bit! Was really looking forward 🤨

The chicken wings here are atrocious, hard tiny wings with no crunch, if you want nice wings the opposite shops have nice wings. I’ve had the fish before this is nice but the wings taste like they were fried the day before and left.

I had kebab meat from here on Saturday, by the following Tuesday, I was admitted into hospital with food poisoning due to me being type 1 diabetic, I have seen this place use the same meat pinchers for all their meats, need to have health and safety inspect your standards before your food kills someone!

This place should be named “ Extra Charge “ anything you ask they will reply it’s extra charge for that , Rude customer service always in rush don’t let order properly and most of the time they mess up the order. Work on your Staff tell them to be polite and control the spices burgers came overly spiced when asked for Little bit of Chili sauce most of the food ended up in the bin

Well priced, good portion sizes. Really tasty food Fried chicken is very good, crispy and flavourful. Hands down THE best chips around. Especially if Remi is there you are in for a treat Still good food and reasonably priced. Definitely worth a visit

Such a shame this place is hit and miss . I like the food there but some of the guys on the phone are just simply young and immature . I was on my way home from work passing through and wanted to order some food as I was starving. I called in and tried ordering from my work phone which is programmed as withheld and did not have my personal phone on me. The lad on the phone told me not call from private number and to call back without hiding my number because he told me that they get so many fake orders???? What on earth does that have to do with me and my order!! He hung up on my and I tried calling back multiple times but they just didn’t answer and now I am almost home, all that time wasted when they could have simply taken my order. So i got my personal phone and called from there and the chap who took my order was polite, helpful, no negative attitude. I have spoken to him many times and have respect for him and most of the guys there. Took my order, I collected, food was beautiful but the whole service could have been much better. Guys remember the 1st rule of business. Please do not upset your customers. I am an honest and paying customer and have always been ever since the start. I have restaurants and my customers always come 1st. Just a sad experience. If you don’t want people to call off withheld number you should state or advertise this somewhere! Hopefully they read this and learn from this experience.

This is the only chippy I use and have used since it opened. To be honest I don't know what's going on there lately, tonight I ordered steak and kidney pie, chips and mushy peas and as you will see from the photos the pie is mainly just pastry, very very little filling, chips portion was small and peas needed to go in the microwave when I got home as they were cold and I only live 5 minutes away, the cost £5.30, I even had to check the price as I was overcharged but in fairness it was rectified. Now for £5.40 I could've got 3 portions of chips, 3 pieces of chicken and 3 chicken niblets ( each advertised for £1.80 ). Whoever they get their pies from need to be told about lack of filling in them or find another supplier. I must say I'm very disappointed with the meal tonight. Update to this review! I went back and showed the photos and review I put and I was told the pie must have been overcooked and the filling spilled, obviously not the case, although I was offered another which I refused as I didn't find much filling in the first one. However to their credit I was there to purchase something else and was told there was no charge, so they rectified the situation. I will still continue to use this place because I still find it to be the best local chippy around caldmore.

First of all, I would like to say the food is so delicious, it's always fresh, secondly, the Boss is a legend as soon as I walk through that door my little one (Aadam) always gets a treat even all the staff are really good, friendly and the customer service is excellent highly recommended will go again & again keep up the good work 🤜🤛

Gone down hill since it first opened used to be fresh food at good prices loved their fresh Fish and chips now its stale rubbish their fish always looks burnt and rubbish portions also I had fish and chips from here the other day and it made me and my wife ill the next day hygiene is non existent they have a bunch of kids working the counter. Go Mc Donald atleast you won't get food poisoning.

Disappointed. Waited for far too long for one meal. When I started eating the chips, I knew they weren't cooked thoroughly. They were basically half-cooked. Even the burger was just about average. The experience left me feeling sick in the stomach.

These were fantastic when they first opened!! My partner went in tonight and mentioned that during the week our order was wrong, curry sauce instead of gravy. The reply was "oh well at least you got something " we ordered chicken and chips and the whole meal was inedible, some cold and unbelievably greasy! When this place 1st opened we used to order almost 4-5 days a week, thats how good the quality of the food was here!! I was putting on alot of weight hence why I had to calm down with takeaway food. Unfortunately the standards in this place have hit rock bottom. Fish and chips was beautiful at 1st but recently, its small, brown and stale instead of gold and crispy and the chips have gone from fresh potato cut to soggy, oily and stale! Tonight just took the absolute mick, i was beyond disappointed with the food! It was just diabolical! The team there top, they are a good bunch and always smile , conversate and respect is flown both ways. They just need to up their game again big time! I always say ‘if its not fit for me to eat, would i feed it to someone else, paying or non? Never’ PLEASE GUYS YOU USED TO BE OUR FAVOURITE AND IT WAS A BLESSING WHEN YOU OPENED AND CARED! We've used here since they first opened...we only live down the road but as the streets are not so safe these days we have delivered at night. ..the best cooked fish and chips we've found in a long time . Yes it's the cheapest in Walsall but you have to throw away more than half of your chips because of the rotten black marks! I thought 'well it must have been a bad batch of potatoes' so gave them a few weeks break before ordering again and still the same. They peel the potatoes fresh not from frozen so why can't they just not use the gross black bits? Chickens small and dry, meat is good but frustrating when the chips are so bad. Tried their name sake - the fish, and its just so mediocre. Nothing special and the portion is pretty small. If I wanted rotten chips I could have just gone up the road to Sunnys! Far better to just go across the street and buy a bag of chips that aren't rotten.

When the shop first opened the food was top notch, fresh and worth every penny. Today I have ordered 3 chicken and chips and 1 fish and chips where all the chips were stale and the chicken in the chicken and chips had a bad smell to it only place it belonged was in the bin that chicken could have made someone sick. The fish was dry and must have been refried several times. The staff working there are only kids who don't know what they're doing serving food that may cause food poisoning. Today you've lost a customer.

Me and my partner decided to try here for the first time, the guy who served us was pleasant & friendly the chips & kebab were cooked to perfection and fresh very nice would highly recommend here we’ll certainly be back 🙂

Tonight, I very much enjoyed my Large Chicken Kebab & Chips in a tray. To the man who served me, you were right that I would enjoy the spices in that, it was beautifully flavoursome, well done! Amazing food!!!! Hands down the best chip shop in the whole of Walsall. Soft fluffy chips and REAL cod. Used to go to Ablewell Fish Bar in Walsall but these guys beat them in every way possible. Customer service is outstanding, very helpful and respectful. They are consistent with quality, I’ve not had a single bad meal. You will not regret eating here. Give these guys a try!!!

I'm not sure where all the reviews are coming from but this place serves very bad food. The fish and chips is atrocious greasy and sloppy. Very very poor.

I have ordered from this establishment and have always been happy with the quality of their food. However, their customer service skills are lacking! I was waiting in the queue for an age and when I finally made it to the counter I was notified that they would be putting on fresh fish and all the fish that was ready was packed for delivery. This was completely unacceptable as I was fasting and had 5 minutes for the fast to break and they were aware of this fact. You would expect them to update customers if they were unable to fulfill orders. As a result I walked out of the store. Very disappointing.
