Called in while waiting for my daughter who was nearby doing her theory test. Decided a sweet treat was in order to celebrate or commiserate and this shop didn’t disappoint. Lady was lovely and the cakes I bought were 10/10. Soft, moist and so tasty.

Individual cakes are not fresh, only some of them are if you’re lucky but its always a surprise once you get home and start eating them. Today I have purchased three cakes two were fine but their coconut dream was at least a week old. Also purchased a cakes twice for birthday parties, requested chocolate base but got victoria base instead. Both times we found out once the party has started obviously once we were slicing the cake open. So nobody bothered to go back to the shop to complain.

Dubai cake is just a chocolate cream sponge cake with pistachios on the side , I actually changed my mind last minute from choosing the pistachio cheesecake because the guy behind the counter recommended this Dubai cheesecake which was three times more expensive and I’m so disappointed because there’s nothing actually Dubai about it , Guy behind the counter was really cool though but just disappointed about this average cake

I ordered chocolate cake but it didn't even taste like chocolate it just take like normal cake. I feel like they added the colour as didn't taste chocolate at all.

Went to collect cake today. Was standing in line for my turn.. then suddenly the girl at the till is next please...doesn't even look at me...proceeds to the men next to me who entered the shop after myself. One of the men did not not like me going ahead and saying I was next in line so proceeded to make unnecessary remarks about me getting upset and going ahead. To which this girl wearing a scarf I believe pakistani starts smirking. What is there to laugh about..and why is staff even getting involved in customer conversations. This girl does not listen to what you are saying to her but will tell you she understands..I was there 10 minutes trying to make her understand that all I wanted were 2 boxes with 4 slices of cake in each one. So maybe instead of laughing at customers you could concentrate on your job for a change? And not waste customer time. Karma will be nice to you I'm sure!!

Gave wrong order on Uber eats. Gave me cupcakes instead of sundae .their cupcakes are worse than store bought ones.

Both cakes were dry, i usually order from them however this time the cake was inedible, it was dry and seems like it was left out along time. Out of date.

Cake was oki nothing special… but the strawberry 🍓 on top off the cake was not fresh! I didn’t see when I pick it up but the strawberries was dry and black like if the stay ther for a couple of days! I pick the cake from the freezer or what do I call it that it’s for showing when people come inside and I pick this cake ..didn’t realise the strawberries was so bad !

Delicious cakes, But Service was very low And we walked on Sunday followed the timings till 8pm. The shop was closed already, we reached by 7:10 and the lady was at the till not answering the calls. Need to update ur timings and can’t waste someone’s time like this.

Amazing ladies after ordering a number 1 birthday for my granddaughter i squashed the sides of the cake in transport i rang the shop up straight away and the lady fixed the cake free of charge i was so greatful and the cake was absolutely beautiful

Horrible customer service. We went to bring the cake on 20th of November and there was a lady who was so rude the way she talks and behaves. When we asked for toppings she said go and buy fruits from shop and put it on the cake yourself. Maybe it’s not possible to reach out customers requests but the way they answer was not fair. Unsatisfactory service.

That one woman staff at cakebox Middlesbrough, she is horrible, she needs to change her attitude towards customers asap otherwise find another job. You are not fit for customer service. She doesn’t know how to speak to customers, worst customer service ever. Never going back there.

Please don’t buy cake without pre order there cake’s are not fresh at Middlesbrough shop there is one girl with glasses at front who serves me told me that cake is fresh but when I eat it wasn’t fresh I feel pain in my stomach also I complained to Food Hygiene’s agency so be careful just writing for others people benefit thanks for reading.

well, ordered through justeat, did not received it even on the following day. A not so helpful woman picked up the phone, promised a call back... never heard back. Never picked up the phone. Crap service! Well done!

Ordered cake from this place, yesterday ( Friday @7pm ) and still not arrived ( Saturday 5pm )they not answering the phone call too. DON'T ORDER FROM THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!

I didn’t receive my order until now

didn't get delivered we had to go to the shop hour before closing time had the shop called us saying there is no driver. The driver even went to the shop said someone picked it up the driver came to the house to explain and apologise wasn't his fault was the shops for closing early and wanted to get home hour before its says on the site. Shop called me at 7pm my daughter had to go collect and by time she walked home the driver was at the house to tell me he went to the shop etc he didn't have to

The lady who is attending customers is rude . The way of talking with us when we were asking for the prices were actually rude. No doubt the products are always best but i found that lady rude.

Over prices cakes box 4 slices with 1/2 fruit pieces & old stale cake for £17.50 & staff customer services is poor with angry facial expressions. Order on just eat will be last time.
