This is without a doubt the nicest chippy there is, their fish supper is just outstanding, has a true "chip shop" taste. It is a bit on the pricier side but you get what you pay for. They have been shut for their holidays and other places have been tried and just do not compare. Worth every penny. Always very friendly and efficient regardless of how busy.

I’m from Lurgan and have lived in England since the 80’s. I went to Cafollas today with some friends who travelled from Drumbo. The last time I visited Cafollas was a year or so ago when some friends were home from Australia. We have always gone back to Cafollas when possible but this will be the last time. I felt completely ripped off. The staff were attentive and lovely but the prices were scandalous. A marshmallow ice was £4.20. A portion of chips was £3.95. A portion of curry sauce was £1.90. I understand that process have increased everywhere but this simply didn’t represent value. I can’t see that I will ever go back.

i absolutely love this place i highly reccommed the curry chips and as a child i would never pick a dish with vegatables in it going out but this place was so good i would always. the ice cream choc mallow ice is amazing btw muirgenh is my sister and trusted me didn't think of ice cream van. you can sit in and get a takeaway unlike most chippies and has a lot of options. there is also a ice cream parlor just across the street and the staff is amazing for tourist and locals.

I work all over the country, travelling from town to town on a daily basis. Therefore I have eating many a chip, have been into lots of award winning chippies/chippers and yes some of them have been very good but none have been as good a wee cafolla's. When this place is on its day, which 9/10 it is - the chips are soo good, cooked just right at that proper golden color and crispy peak gain exterior big auld chip and hanging with vinnegar - BOOM BOOM BOOM oooooooohhhh and the crispie wee bits at the bottom of the bag too - jeez laweez. All depends on the spuds ofcourse depending on the time of year - around spring time they are that bit sweeter and darker golden brown edge and I think they are great - its hard to get a good chip out of spuds all year round but this family have been doing it for 100 years and it shows - BEST CHIPS in Ireland - HANDS DOWN OUT THE PARK - fish/suages/and the cheese burgers are done just right with good quality food - take the burgers for instance, the bap they us is one most places use to use 20 years ago, now most places use a cheaper bap that is too dry and lacks flavour, and the onions always carmalised to perfection and good decent plastic cheese - great. The chicken burgers is the only thing they do not do good - its a whole breast (Too Big) they cut in half to cook evenly but in this way it looses moisture and becomes dry - sort this out with a southern fried batter and half the size then theywill have the best chicken burger around as the salad is always really fresh and really good, colesaw too - Icecream - BOOM - Milkshakes -BOOM - Wee Cafolla's just fantastic

I eventually managed to get into CAFOLLAS and was pleasantly surprised and glad that they served up a very nice FISH and chips if a bit pricey and a lovely wee scoop of plain ice cream. £11.65 for a (lovely) small fish a small chip, pot of tea and small plain ice cream all for one. A wee bit expensive ! If sitting in choose a seat near front door as back is very busy and very noisy.

This is regular food, classic pub-style food (greasy and just OK) but the thing that really annoyed us is that they charge for each sauce packet (ketchup or any other sauce you'd like! We have travelled and visited many countries for decades and NEVER had we been charged for using 'x' amount of packets of sauce! No one warned us this would happen either - waitresses didn't tell us. When we asked the owner, he just shrugged his shoulder and said that they charge because when they had red sauce (ketchup) bottles on the tables, kids made a mess... say what? He proceeded to charge me 10p per packet anyway... Totally unacceptable and awful customer service.

Brilliant chip shop along with fantastic ice cream. This is the best chippy in the world, I remember going to Strangford before Cafollas and thinking it was the best but then when I tried Caffolas it was the best. Great service and very friendly with enough room to accommodate three birthday parties with two small ones in the back and the large one in the front. Brilliant chippy nothing to complain about.

Having moved away many years ago, upon my return to Northern Ireland, I always go to Cafolla’s for thee best chips and sausages/fish on the planet. I have eaten chips around the world, but have yet to find chips made the Cafolla’s way. From the first bite of a chip on your plate to the last one, they remain piping hot and a treat beyond belief. You haven’t lived until you savour the taste of Cafolla’s chips. Oh, and by the way, their ice cream, which has won many awards, is not too bad either. Can’t beat a nougat wafer any day. Don’t think about it, just go, sit in, and enjoy!!!

During the summer I decided to 'treat' myself to fish & chips in the 'wee' Cafolla's (as it is affectionately known), and a treat it was! A fish supper, peas, bread, butter and a pot of tea for under £10 ... in this day and age this is phenomenal value! The service was friendly and efficient; the food hot and tasty, not at all greasy!, and the value for money (as above) out of this world! It was also great to catch up with Gerard, the owner, whom I hadn't spoken with for over 30 years! All in all, a wee gem on the fish and chip salon .... the best sit in this side of anywhere!

A Lurgan favourite, and for good reason! Great basic food - 'anything' plus chips recommended. Ice cream the best in the country - my favourite is the nougat wafer

I've been to cafolla's many times and have never been disappointed. The fish and chips are always freshly cooked and the portion size is very generous. The service is great. You can also get a good ulster fry for lunch or breakfast. I haven't tried the ice cream but I've heard that it is very good too.

I have eaten at many Fish and Chip shops in my lifetime and Cafolla's has to be the best ever. From schoolboy days to now 50 years later, the chips and sausages are superb. Returning soon for a visit to Northern Ireland and I'll be sure to visit.

It is a nice sit in chippy basically. It does a decent fish&chips;, curry, burgers etc but also benefits from lovely ice cream and milkshakes. A good value for money chip shop which would surely benefit from a later opening time for weekend takeaways.

Food that is still the same throughout the years! The icecream is to die for! The marshmallow ice is a real treat. The fish and chips are delicious!! It is a cafe but the food is calorie and taste rich. The surroundings are basic.

A fixture in Lurgan Town Centre for a lifetime and more, traditional food, well made, served quickly, chips are old school and the best in Lurgan, poirtion sizes are good, value is excellent, not too many tables and can get busy at lunchtimes, but well worth a visit, staff are great too.
