I’m a regular here and it is one of my preferred Neros. Service can be hit and miss depending on the staff member but some of them are fantastic, very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. I like the atmosphere here, not too hectic and whilst popular, you can usually get a seat if needed. The wait times can be a little long particularly in the morning as they seem to only have one staff member on.

Very impressed with the caffe Nero here, I feel the people who are unimpressed with this need to make sure they show a little more compassion towards the keyworkers. Also be aware we all have families and lives so do the people who work here, if you have been given a 20min warning then that's to make sure you leave on time so they can spend another 30mins cleaning up so the cafe is ready for you all the next day. I'm very happy I can now come over to Chorlton rather than going all the way into the city centre. Thank you to the lovely staff that do their upmost best in Chorlton even if the customers aren't so great back.

Been in here 6 times 1 time NO CREAM ANOTHER TIME someone tried to charge me 95 PENCE FOR BUTTER TODAY THERE HIS NO BUTTER SO JUST HAD COFFEE AND GOT A REFUND ON.THE PANATOA WHICH NEEDS BUTTER ALSO THERE ARE NO CARDS TO COLLECT POINTS ON NOT GOOD ENOUGH

We fancied a little sit down break after a hard day, so we nipped into cafe Nero We ordered three large drinks and two vegetarian pastries One vegetarian pastry came out a little bit burnt And the vegetarian sausage roll was quite tasty but looked a little bit raw but still nonetheless was very nice The service was great young ladies behind the counter were very friendly and nice

Just been served at Cafe Nero on Chorlton and woman there has terrible customer service. Told me to get out of the way as other customer wanted to pay. Needs to get some manners!she's just announced that we need to leave at 6.30 it's only ten past !

I've been here several times, and there's a middle-aged woman who works here and calls everyone"sweetheart", who originally came from a different store, and she is kind and thoughtful. I've seen her be very generous, considerate and kind with a number of different customers, and she has a calm confidence which is very impressive. She's an absolute asset to Cafe Nero. Edit - If the above staff member isn't there, be prepared to be ignored by the others though. Several times I've given up getting a coffee here because it's so frustrating. Some of their food is also pretty awful. The lighting is lovely and the place feels calm and is always very warm. The coffee is variable, it depends on which staff member is working. Large numbers of power sockets make it an easy place to do an hour's work.

Had the best velvet iced coffee with honey that I have ever tasted. Smooth, creamy, but not too rich. Just devine, thanks to izzy the barrista. Can also strongly recommend the tirimisu .

Just go to Costa for a quick cup of coffee! (Or independent for a slow one!) Customer service felt unwelcoming and even tho the line was empty, I felt rushed by them. There was eye rolls as well. They can't make sure there's no dairy in the drink when you ask for an alternative (lactose intolerant) never had anyone say that in a coffee shop before! I got one anyway and regretted it, worst coffee I've ever bought, which was odd as 10 yrs ago I loved cafe neros caramel latte but it honestly tasted like nothing, I literally went home and added more coffee and honey to it to try and make it taste better. Absolutely terrible.

Terrible frappe drinks again!! Ordered a mocha frappe, which tasted like a cold chocolate milkshake, no blended ice !! Second drink was a hazelnut frappe, but tasted like a fruity one and had a huge block of ice which had not been blended. Really not worth it fpr the price, Cafe Nero need to seriously train their staff. Staff were polite though.

Ordered two chai lattes, asked the lady who served us to make it strong. We found the drinks were weak. I asked the staff to make stronger drink and she returned our drinks in much the same state. The staff look very unwelcoming, unhappy, and unprofessional. Definitely need to focus on customer service training and making proper drinkable drinks. I am unhappy with overall experience at this branch!

I popped in for a coffee while I was visiting some shops. It looks ok and got a large coffee served in a huge cup with 2 handles but I have to say it was disgusting .The service was ok.

Very unprofessional staff, all very slap dash, bit like being served by Kevin & Perry, staff looked untidy and urgently need some customer service training, if you want a nice coffee and cake in Chorlton go to an independent coffee shop, much nicer.

I visited on Friday and ordered a mushroom toasted bread. My cutlery was absolutely filthy and covered in food stains. I informed a waitress at the bar who did not even comment and then told her colleague. The colleague then brought me a new set of cutlery and literally shoved them into my hands. I did not expect such appalling service from such a huge coffee chain that I used to love. The staff need serious customer service training and hygiene awareness training.

I get the impression that the staff don't want to work at any speed. It'll ultimately kill the business- the franchise owner needs to be aware as no doubt its putting others off from coming there.

I visit this branch every time I'm in the area, which is fairly frequently. Always a great experience

Staff need to smile more and look like they actually want to make your coffee, not sure what the pretentious vibe is about. It's a coffee shop?? One particular girl on the counter looks so miserable, cheer up love

I was just visiting a few places in chorlton on my travels and I fancied a good coffee and I ended up here. It's right on the corner and therefore quite handy as I was waiting for a bus home and I had almost a 360 degree view of all the roads from inside so I can see if there's a bus coming. I ordered a large coffee and it was nice and hot, served with a small jug of milk. It cost £3.50 but wasn't weak or bitter. It's a comfy place and wasn't packed. There's an area where you can read or study if you like with a large selection of books at the back. I just sat at a table looking out. There's toilets as well and it was clean. As coffee shops go this is one I would visit again.

Excellent newly opened cafe. Food is ok, coffee is very good and the atmosphere beats the pants of Costa across the road. Added to which the company has an excellent human rights policy unlike both Costa and Starbucks. Nero opened at the right time and provided much welcomed alternative to the bitter experience you get with Costa

For the most part I like coming here because its close by. Usually the coffees are good but sometimes they're made so badly that they're actually undrinkable, it seems to depend on who makes it. There is one person who works here with a mullet and piercings and they are always super rude to us when we come in. We all work in hospitality so we know what it's like and we know it can be hard, but this level of rudeness is so unnecessary and always makes us feel like we want to leave. They snapped at my friend when their card didn't work and asked me "what do you want" while looking at me like I shot their dog or something lol. Really not okay.

Really nice addition to the franchise. The staff are lovely and it's very pleasant inside—I just hope it doesn't become scruffy like some of the city centre branches. This was my first visit and, although I much prefer to give my custom to local companies, I'll probably be back at some point.

Good food options, drinks and sweet treats. The issue I have here is specifically regarding dietary restrictions - when I had requested a vegan treat, the staff member did not tell me it was out of stock and went to give me a non-vegan treat instead. I noticed what she was doing so was able to intervene but I feel like if dietary requirements were better followed this would be a 5 star cafe. Perhaps something to be aware of if you have specific requirements

Finally a Caffé Nero opened in Chorlton! So far we have visited twice and were very happy with everything on both occasions! Edit after more visits: still very happy with everything :)

Popped in yesterday evening for the first time about an hour before closing. Wonderfully relaxed atmosphere, fantastic service and my coffee was made exactly how I like it. Top marks, will definitely be returning.
