Caffe Nero in City of London, Westminster

Went in for a caffe late and had a miserable server ! Pity I got served by them as there was another server “in training” who could have given her some customer service training !

When we need to sit down, we are in the neighborhood without looking for the 5-legged sheep. Tea level so all you have to do is pray for a place, especially a comfortable one.

The coffee was delicious, but there is only one bathroom and it is disgusting. Bathroom code: 241

Love this Nero! The team, Olivia, Lara, and Luka are all amazingly sweet and always pay close attention to the visitors and their requests. Plus tasty coffee!

Staff don't ask too many questions.

4G mobile signal awful in some locations of coffee shop. Not ideal to work from as don't want to use public WiFi.

I come to this particular Caffè Nero before a regular appointment. I find the staff to be helpful and polite, especially one young man who usually works on a Sunday evening. It is larger than other branches in the chain and so has a lot more seating. I also appreciated that they keep the disabled toilet locked with a key, so you do not have to worry about non-disabled people using it to wash themselves etc.

Standard Cafe Nero on Long Acre just outside Covent Garden. Lots of seating but usually quite busy. All good. Been here several times.

I frequent this place several times a week. Over the past 6 months I have noticed one female member of staff that usually works of an evening time, shouting angrily and talking down to other staff behind the counter. Same person can be seen regularly outside taking numerous smoking breaks and playing on her mobile phone. She then comes in and makes a scene by bullying other staff especially those much younger than her. I witnessed this approximately 6 months ago when I saw her shouting to a young woman that worked there. The woman was so polite, courteous and very good at her job. The woman has since disappeared from the store, I wonder why? This female isn't even a manager or a supervisor, just a bully with terrible attitude. It's embarrassing to listen to and observe and ruins the occasion of being there.

Great service by the two ladies who served me; especially Klaudia who helped process discount on food using her card as the app on my phone wasn’t processing my voucher!

You can always rely on a nice coffee at Cafe Nero. A good selection of value priced lunch options.

This poor review is for Nero as a business at this location. I usually stop by once a week and have never seen more than ONE person run the place! Ridiculous! Now I get the crap reviews about service on here. Hire more people, Cafe Nero!

Caffe Nero is usually my go to anywhere I am in the country, but had one of the worst experiences here. Server was a bit rude, didn't ask if we wanted to sit in (which we did). Gave us our drinks in takeout cups and our cake in grubby takeout boxes. When I pointed out we wanted to sit in and that she never asked, she just whammed on the extra 'sit in' cost and gave it to us like that. No apologies or anything. Not that it mattered much, the café was a bit of a mess, with pretty much all the tables not cleared. I'll try a different one next time, not like this is the only one in London!

Horrible cafetería. Se metió a descansar entre compras para ser recibido con un personal miserable. Ni siquiera un saludo. ¿Qué quieres? Cuando pedí, me disgustó la cajera que fue ‘Next’, así que me quedé allí y dije ‘gracias’ por ella para decir ‘bienvenido, siguiente’, mientras que ni siquiera hacía contacto visual conmigo. Es una simple grosería. Los baños eran absolutamente viles y el refrigerador de frutas era bang promedio en el mejor de los casos. Le pedí al asistente masculino el alfiler del inodoro y antes de que pudiera terminar mi oración, interrumpió groseramente con ‘241’ y luego se dio la vuelta. ¿Dónde están los modales básicos de las personas, el respeto y el servicio al cliente? ¡Esta es la línea de trabajo en la que entraste! Consigue otro trabajo ¿dónde estás tan miserable, especialmente en un lugar tan turístico... el centro de Londres?

Manners cost nothing. Unbelievably sullen monosyllabic male server who refused to help with a voucher that inexplicably wasn’t working. Suggested it was my fault that I didn’t ask for cream with my mocha as ‘you have to let me know about the extras’. Apologies for assuming that the staff might flag these, next time I’ll be sure to learn the menu off by heart. Not sure why you get into service when you have such a revulsion to being polite and friendly to people.

Sadly the dirtiest and unfriendliest Caffe Nero I have ever been in. The male barista was rude and unwelcoming, the tables were filthy and the toilet was absolutely disgusting even though there was a lock on it.

Nero has the same quality everywhere.

Says it’s open until 9pm. Looked cosy and inviting but takeaway only at 8:10pm

Well used branch, so looking a bit tired. Service good but coffee, flat white, less so. Not much taste, lukewarm.

The menu is not visible from the till, so had to remember what I wanted lol 🤦‍♀️, Wasn't busy but service was slow. Otherwise great location and place, relaxing atmosphere in a busy city

Cafe Nero always good coffee and comfortable atmosphere. Enjoy the flat white although sometimes a lack of staff.

Friendly staff and a decent drink. Service was slow and the shop was a bit messy. Everything is way too expensive for what you get, but that's common with any Nero. A pleasant enough place for a quiet drink.

Went yesterday, the black women very short was very rude and aggressive when I asked for extra hot drink, gave me worm instead of what I wanted. Super poor service, was shouting when I wanted a new drink. Will not recommend go somewhere better, train staff to have some manner’s please.

Good place to sit down and work. Pretty empty in the evenings. Pretty fast wifi. My friend recommended pistachio latte because she absolutely loves it, it was not my taste though, but worth giving a try.

Was OK not as good as normal Nero dirty tables not getting cleared quickly coffee was good , service was OK nothing special.

The waiting time is way too much. I am currently sitting in the cafe and can see 2 people working behind the counter and 3 customers waiting. The nice lady behind the counter is busy cleaning and lost in her world while the gentleman is serving one customer in 7 minutes and is terribly slow. This is my second time in this cafe and I am experiencing the same thing as I did last time, therefore I am writing this review. I suggest attending to customers before anything or at least taking orders quickly to make the customers feel attended to is necessary. Please consider my review as I am writing this with utter genuine experience in this cafe.

I like the chain, it's always welcoming, the premises are clean, the staff is helpful and knowledgeable, and the sandwiches and drinks over the counter are very good. Perfect for taking a comfortable and relaxing break between hectic days in London. My 5 star favorite is the one in COVENT GARDEN.

Bizarre experience. My wife needs some water and there were no glasses available having asked the manager for a glass the manager flatly refused as she had hurt her hand, not so bad that she couldn't get off her phone!! We literally sat down to drink our coffees and the manager decided to kick us all out due to her painful hand... No refund offered....

Staff were really rude and off-putting. I ordered some food and asked for it to be microwaved or put in the oven briefly. The woman gave me a hard time, mocked me for wanting it microwaved and got angry at me for no reason. It ruined the entire experience and I didn’t even want to stay there anymore because of her behaviour. The food wasn’t even warm. Just one side was tepid to the touch and the other part fridge-cold.

Popped in for a coffee and scrambled egg & bacon brioche. Very nice, waiting for Freemasons Hall to open, as very busy day.

Nice coffee but smelly toilet with overflowing sanitary bin really spoiled the experience. I hope the staff don't use it!

Best coffee in London as far as I am concerned

20 Jan 24: The coffee was below par but the killer for me was the vile disgusting toilet (see photo). Considering that I had to ask for one of the many empty tables to be cleared and cleaned, the neglect of the customer toilets should have come as no surprise One image shows how clean the ceiling vent is, indicating that it doesn’t work, as the lack of any other cleaning means this isn’t being cleaned either. The toilet basin was filthy from hours of use not interrupted by any cleaning and there was trash all over the floor. This disgusting scene is entirely avoidable with a little care.

I believe Nero is my favorite coffee shop in the city, I feel it’s the most authentic of them all. Not the best Mocha I’ve ever had, however, I have been enjoying my time there.

Came here today. Slight mixup with my order but the lovely lady with red hair behind the counter apologised and rectified it without any fuss. Great customer service would definitely come again x

Went to cafe Nero 83-84 Long Acre, London WC2E 9NG. Service slow and really uninterested staff behind counter. The toilet had not been cleaned since 9am (we went at 19.13pm. The toilet was so bad (seat covered in wee, tissues over floor and in bins and all around toilet, there was a sign in coffee shop on floor that another customer picked up even though the restaurant was quiet and then when we left the sign outside was in middle of pavement (and we had just seen a member of staff who looked like he may be in charge going outside for 10 minutes). It was absolutely disgusting and really disheartening. When I approached a girl at the counter regarding toilets she looked completely disinterested and told me thanks she would do it later. This is even though she was just standing there with 2 other members of staff. We customers pay for the service and tea and even the toilet use. It's not free. Get your act together! I wrote an email on 25th Dec 2023 and surprise surprise no response. After all the bad press this coffee chain have received in past couple of years, I honestly feel speechless!

Called in to pick up a Too Good To Go order but the experience was appalling. This seems to be a recurring experience in Caffè Nero. I’ve used this store before and had a wonderful experience with my collection. However on this occasion the staff were incredibly rude from the moment I entered the store, claiming they were “closed” despite it being 18 minutes before the advertised closing time on the door. As with a previous experience with Nero, the staff claimed that they had no food left though it seems pretty clear from the photograph that there was food left. They didn’t even offer to refund my T2TG payment despite this being mentioned to them.

In a wintry evening specially when it's raining outside, best place to sit in and enjoy the true taste of Italian brew.

Very nice food and coffee was amazing.

First time in a Cafe Nero for me and I thoroughly enjoyed myself, the staff were friendly, the mince pie was nice and the coffee was good.

The latte I had at Caffe Nero was fantastic! The quality of the coffee and the warm hospitality of the staff always entice me to come back. The ambiance is also pleasant and cozy.

I just wanted to give the person with the tattoos and ear holes a shout out because they were so friendly and had such great energy that would make anyone's day a little better. Thank you for your help. The food was nice but probably too much for what I had. But you know what you're in fort when you choose big franchises like this.

There weren't any tables to sit at, so my friend and I shared a table with a gentleman already there.We only had tea and a cake which were all nice.

Ordered a luxury hot chocolate and then was given a caramel latte and then when I asked for the luxury hot chocolate again I was given a regular one despite being charged for something I didn’t get in the end I gave up because there was no point trying to order something that I wouldn’t be given :(

The workers were nice and all and food was good but when I asked for a strawberry & something smoothie I got a mango & something smoothie and when he first poured the smoothie his coworker poured it out in the sink while he was warming my crossaint so he had to pour a new one so the workers also sucked at communicating to eachother they also had a whiteboard with some stuff behind it but when one of the workers went and opened the whiteboard he didn't close it he just got what he needed and went back by the way I went with my mother and she found multiple stuff there that was expired

Typical Nero but this is Heavily Targeted by Pick Pockets. And the Managers do Nothing about it. Please avoid. Remember to not leave your wallet or Phone on the Table. Gypsies use a Sheet of paper to cover it and snatch it.

Really good place to sit and relax, comfortable sofas maje you feel nice, and really good coffee make you feel really good! Di not forget cake !

This is a pleasant place to rest in London. Prices are not too expensive but not to cheap too. Cookies are very good and waiters and waitress very courtesy.

No fuss Nero. Always a good coffee and whilst the food isn't great I love the fact that they're the first coffee chain to venture further into plant based options than any of the other chains.

Cafe has good ambience and quite a bit of seating. Location is also within a nice street. Coffee could be better, as it could be in all chains. So don’t expect specialty coffee but overall it’s a nice cafe to visit and stays open longer than most.

Caffè Nero has the best coffee ☕️ Better in my opinion than all the others. The cakes are not great , but better than Star B or costa which are really bad. 😣🫣 But come on Caffè Nero !!! I have no idea what your company is doing , but when it comes to cleaning the shops , the floors , the seats !!😵‍💫 the toilet !! 🤮😖 it’s so dirty it’s got to be a health hazard! Had to ask to get the table cleared and cleaned 🧼 even then I was considering just standing. And for that reason alone its a one star ⭐️ made drinking my drink quite horrible, should have got it to go.

I’m a big fan of Caffè Nero and a strong advocate of their great tasting coffee. However, my experience was rather distasteful this afternoon after waiting for what seemed like forever for service and that was due to the insubordination of one of the three employees. The manager/supervisor was left on their own to service a queue of roughly a dozen people and when she had to recall staff members from the back of the shop help speed service she was met with a mixed reaction by her subordinates. One of the team members was quick to jump back on service to take orders and speed things along whilst having a smile on her face and ready to help. Her colleague, on the other hand, was clearly uninterested in returning to the floor arguing over them wanting to take his break and clearly winding her manager up and arguing within the team. This was rather disappointing for customers as they had to endure this rather insolent and disrespectful young man show no respect for his team and to top things off he decided to take the last sausage roll on display for himself to eat over the heavily argued break. What a way to top things off specially given I was trying to buy that! Myself and other customers exchanged looks as the manager was clearly and expertly trying to appease the situation and continue to serve customers in an amiable manner however this staff member let his manager and team down. Rather disappointing.

The cashiers at the time were deliberately cleaning up rather than serving customers near to closing time - leaving a long line of frustrated people. It took fifteen minutes plus to get out which is far too long.

The toilets were a disgrace, not fit for any human.

Great Coffee. Fantastic dishes. Unfortunately impolite staff. We have been kicked out half an hour before closing hours. We wanted to simply share that outside the timings are different. Nobody listened to us.

Nice place to rest the feet, Found the staff very polite and helpful, Place was clean and tidy. Drink was to order. Like most of these coffee houses they are all over priced.

Overpriced coffee and tea (£2.50 for a cuppa tea!!) but a good place to rest after a day's shopping.

As in all branches service very slow however the coffee was very hot. The toilets were disgusting and looked like they had never been cleaned all month

Brilliant service. I ordered on click and collect via the Nero app. When I went to collect the order had not come up on their system for some reason. The lady was so polite and apologised for the error. She asked what my order was and immediately made it. I left as a happy customer. I highly recommend the appricot crossiant.

Was dirty, staff unfriendly and there was a homeless lady sleeping round the side and you couldn't sit because of the stench of urine... I understand people need somewhere to sleep but during the day inside Caffè Nero is not the place. I asked the girl behind the counter " Do you know there is someone sleeping in there? She replied Yes... First and last time to this Caffè Nero....
