Soy un cliente muy leal y visito el restaurante a diario. Hoy fui allí y decidí llevar a mi familia allí también. La comida era muy buena, pero cuando se trataba de pagar había un poco de confusión y fui a cuestionarla. Estaba hablando con el dueño que se llama Mirela, que fue muy grosero y se estaba riendo en mi cara. Normalmente no tengo ningún problema aquí, pero después de esa horrible experiencia no volveré. Luego consiguió que su compañero de trabajo saliera y me pidiera disculpas. Siento que esto fue muy poco profesional y que ella debería haber venido a disculparse. Si ella es realmente la dueña, debería recibir más capacitación en el servicio al cliente y tal vez sacar una hoja de su libro.

Buena variedad en el menú. Mi amigo es vegano y enmendaron una de las pizzas para acomodar esto. Sabroso

Me encanta este café! Un ambiente agradable y cálido. Increíble servicio al cliente. El propietario es un hombre encantador y amable, y el personal es muy amable y amigable. La comida es deliciosa (soy vegetariano y tienen muchas opciones para eso) ¡Sin duda el mejor chai lattes que jamás hayas probado! ¡Yo y el resto de las chicas de trabajo vamos allí todos los días para nuestro almuerzo y cafés de la mañana! Este lugar es una pequeña joya! Xx

Pasamos una tarde muy agradable. Todos los 4 de nosotros disfrutamos de las comidas y no puedo criticar el servicio. Ninguno de nosotros tenía espacio para un desierto. Vino de la casa era buena y se sirve bien helada.

wether you go for coffee and cake or pizza and pasta the food is excellent, large portions and affordable. The staff are friendly helpful and children are made welcome. I've had breakfast, brunch, lunch and late night meals and each visit makes me want to back for more.

I'm always impressed when the majority of the staff in a restaurant speak the native language of the culture and country represented by that restaurant, and either are, or appear to be, nationals of that country. This was certainly the case with La Rocca, a number of whose customers were also heard speaking Italian. This got us off to a very good start, which continued throughout our meal. They offer a refreshingly short menu, which always suggests that the food is freshly prepared and individually cooked, rather than being dragged from the depths of a freezer and thrown into the microwave. The staff who served us were pleasant and friendly, and prepared to explain to us to us about the food available. Service was speedy and efficient, and for every course our meals all arrived together. The dishes were nicely cooked and quite delicious, and not a morsel was left on a single plate. At the end of the meal, a charming young man, who happened to be the chef, came out of the kitchen and chatted to us about the establishment and about the food we'd just consumed. This was the icing on a very good cake. If only I lived in or near Chingford, I'd have no problems deciding where to eat in future.

We enjoyed the experience at this restaurant. The staff looked after as with a smile and all courses were promptly served and was delicious. The menu had a good selection I especially enjoyed the mushroom starter. I was slightly disappointed with the folded pizza, it was a little bit soggy but the portion size I would say was huge, took half of it home.

Myself and I friend unexpectedly discovered La Rocca two days ago while we were looking for somewhere to have lunch. We were not disappointed! We were served straightaway by a friendly and efficient waitress and, from their extensive menu, both chose the Lasagne which was excellent. We shared a bottle of white wine and the whole meal got top marks! We will return - La Rocca is to be recommended!

Love this restaurant and cafe. Food is freshly cooked and is amazing. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. The only thing I would suggest to Guy the owner is to get more comfortable seats please. 😍😍😍

I really like this place. The food was really nice and the staff really welcomed us and made us feel very comfortable. I believe the boss was walking around and making sure that everyone was enjoying the food and making sure we were "being looked after properly" which was lovely. Overall, great place to eat and i would really recommend.

Este es uno de los mejores lugares de chingford para una comida sencilla y bien cocidos. Con amigos que visite la sección de café al menos dos veces a la semana. Ofrecen una amplia variedad de comida caliente o fría, como sándwiches, panini, baguettes, patatas chaqueta o el desayuno. El café es normalmente parte llena a partir de mediados de la mañana pero no permiten asientos adicionales en el lado italiano, pero también puede tener el menú de cafetería. El propietario siempre está visible y chats con los clientes. El personal es muy amable. Muy recomendable lugar para unas vacaciones en un café, aperitivo o comida principal.

Went here for Mother's Day was very busy under pressure, poor services food did not all come out together,My son of 10 had to wait more than 45 mins for his pizza even though I asked for them to come with the starter, my daughters starter went to another table.Had a service charge added and the service was poor and than had to ask for my change.And to top it all off upon leaving was not thanked for our custom and nobody bid us goodbye.Will not be visiting again very disappointed.

Really enjoyed my evening at this restaurant, great atmosphere and service, good food that was reasonably priced. The food was fresh and plenty to choose from. The toilets were very clean. Good all round evening and I will go back

Have had lunch in this lovely cafe numerous times as have friends, family and colleagues. Family run and so friendly. The owner and staff and so welcoming. Agreat varied menu from just having tea/coffee or a sandwich to pasta and other hot food. All age groups welcome. Nice atmosphere and a regular venue for me.

Went as a 50th birthday meal for my mum. Had a large party of 21 so obviously had to have a set menu to reduce time.We were booked for 8 o'clock and ordered at 830. We did not receive our food until 10pm!!!A 2 hour wait no matter how many people is way to long. It'd ridiculous really.The staff were friendly however and the atmosphere was nice. The food was very nice too.However no apologies were given. And more staff should have been taken in as there was another large party they had booked in. They shouldn't over book.

On my many visits to the café, I’ve found it to be a friendly environment. Somewhere to sit down with a coffee and watch the World go by. Or, a great place to meet friends for a chat and a bite to eat. As a regular, I’m usually greeted with a friendly welcome. However, when they’re busy, it can take quite a while to be served. In these circumstances, it would help if the staff just said ‘sorry to keep you waiting’. I’ve also dined in the restaurant a few times and have enjoyed it very much. The owners, Guy and Mirela are a lovely!

We bought a cake( nothing special average vanilla and custard cream) and fake italian cornetto. Really high price,the staff is ok.

Visited this cafe for a quick coffee and a sandwich. I visited with my parents we all ordered paninis and coffee. We sat for at least 15 minutes before being acknowledged, no apology from the waitress when she finally came over. She looked fed up no atmosphere in this place. 30 mins had past until we received our coffees I couldn't believe it no apology. We had to ask where is our coffees. My parents were fed up with such poor communication and lack of attention and wanted to leave, I convinced them to stay I didn't want them to stress out. After one hour I asked the waitress where our food was this is beyond a joke. A man came over and said the kitchen was under pressure I couldn't accept that explanation three sandwiches "really"The food finally came the paninis not cooked fillings missing. Terrible!! Avoid this place miserable staff, be prepared to wait for food just thrown on a plate with no care. Will never re visit this place.

Absolutely love La Rocca. Its a fantastic local business and it definitely gives Prezzos a run for their money. The food always come up hot, great portions and the customer service is fantastic. On most Fridays I believe they have a live singer which sets a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Found hair in my food , when asked to change or order something different they refused and said it was my hair i'm blonde the hair was dark brown

Came in with a friend this afternoon for lunch because the food looked absolutely lovely and the atmosphere was great, sadly very disappointing service, waitress came over we ordered a sprite, tap water, sandwich with added avocado and pizza, drinks given promptly. Then the sandwich was set down 10 minutes later, no avocado and nobody checked on the food. I waited for the pizza as I assumed hot food would be longer although from working in a restaurant myself I was confused why only my friends food had arrived. Waited at least half an hour before I asked for the pizza, to which the waitress replied she thought I had only ordered a drink. My friend said the food was delicious (despite the avocado) which feels a shame as I would've liked to try some food too. Poor service, management was very apologetic and courteous after which is why I'm giving it two stars. A reasonably nice location but very hesitant to visit again and lose another hour.

Visited today and the atmosphere was very welcoming. I ordered a sandwich and my friend ordered a ham pizza. My sandwich arrived promptly however didn't have avocado in as I requested. After waiting an extra 30 mins we enquired about the whereabouts of my friends pizza and a more friendly member of staff went to check. The pizza was never put on order so we got the bill and left. Although the sandwich was a nice, despite the lack of avocado, there was hardly any communication with our waitress, she never checked on my meal or asked us for any more drinks. She needs a bit more training on basic customer service.

Went here for lunch with hubby had the set menu soup was delicious and the pizza was so good and so big we had to take home in a goody bag. The staff and atmosphere was so friendly and inviting we will definitely be back. Great work keep it up.

Living very close by I often pop in for a quick panini which a delightful. I have been to the restaurant part too. The salmon pasta is to die for. Highly recommended

Had a mid week meal here recently and food was very good. Portion was more than ample in size and service was fast. Reasonably priced and willing to meet customers needs.the only problem of me was this restaurant was very cold. It wasn't very busy o this particular night and due to the large glass frontage and marble tables, it felt rather chilly. Definitely worth a visit but wear a few layers of clothes.

A party of 8 of us ate here on New Year's Eve. I regularly use their coffee shop which is next door. The atmosphere was lovely. Most of the tables were booked and they had laid on entertainment, which was not intrusive. I have to say the service was excellent. There were two waitresses who I had not seen before, one was a Scottish lady and the other English I think. The service they provided was excellent. They regularly checked that everybody had drink etc. We had pre-ordered our food a week before and everything was as ordered. They had made an extra effort to accommodate somebody in our party who was vegetarian but couldn't eat the starter on the set menu. They went to the trouble of preparing a vegetable soup - which was very much appreciated! The portion sizes were really generous, which makes a difference to some of the Italian restaurant. The food was delicious! We can highly recommend this restaurant. I think it is one of the best in South Chingford now. Some of the Indian restaurants can be a bit hit and miss on food, and as far as I know this is the only Italian restaurant in this area. At certain times they put on a singer and we have been here on a Saturday and it makes for a really nice evening.

The proprieter of Cafe La Rocca is a most welcoming host by the name of Guy,and he and his hard working staff make the best ground coffee in town,The food isnt bad either with great Pasta as you would expect from an Italian Restaurant,I've been coming to this cafe now for some four years and I've yet to experience a bad coffee,If you you want the perfect 'pick me up'to kick start your day with fine coffee and food,This place is as good as any in town!!

We visited mid week for dinner. There was just enough people eating, not to make it a lonely experience. A friend told me that it can be busy at the weekend.The interior could do with a minor makeover, as I felt it was struggling on the ambiance front. A few Italian/Sicilian themed additions would help.The meals were full of flavour and the portions were generous. And we found the staff friendly and attentive.I recommend a visit if you like Italian food.

Went on a sunny Saturday afternoon, inside it had mums and kids mainly and outside adults were sitting people watching. We had pizzas and pastas which were very nice, massive portions so could nt finish but the waitress happily boxed up for take away. Good prices, my son said he prefered it to Prezzo and the owner came around chatting and wanting feedback. Will be back as local and friendly.

After reading some of the reviews, my wife and I decided to give this restaurant a visit for lunch. First impressions were relatively good: due to the large expanse of glass it had a welcoming openness to it. The decor was simple but very pleasant. The waitress was smiling and friendly. We ordered king prawns in garlic to start; it took a hellishly long time to arrive, which by then I had nearly finished my glass of rose. Unfortunately, there wasn't any flavour to the prawns though they were tender and well cooked. For my main I had the swordfish, this took so long to serve, that the proprietor had to apologise. When it did arrive, the fish was well cooked and moist, but the meat lacked the flavour of the sauce. All in all, it was quite disappointing. This is a dreadful pity because they're almost there. I believe the service needs to be tightened and improved, and the chef mustn't be afraid to give the meals a fuller and richer flavour. It just seemed that the flavours were very muted and unsatisfactory, and the service was very poor. I hope they'll look at these two critical areas and improve on them and I wish them all the best for the future.

Went this evening with the family after a long day in London, wow what a find. Food fantastic well priced and so so so friendly to us and the kids, they could not have been more helpful. We will defiantly travel back.

Unfortunately the lady owner behind the counter knows very little about customer service otherwise the ambience inside the cafe is quite nice. Prices are steep for cakes compared with other Italian cake shops in the area.

I think this is a family business. The service here is here - very attentive. The lady got my pasta wrong and included cheese but she quickly changed it and made sure I was happy with the new replacement. The garlic bread here is just simply superb! Please continue to support this Italian restaurant! It stands out completely from the chain of Italians.

For my daughter's christening we had lunch at la rocca - about 15 people. They couldn't have been more helpful, friendly or attentive, the food was fab, and they were really flexible about our menu. And it was great for little ones (babies and toddlers).

Good café food, always friendly service and good prices. Atmosphere is very good and Guy (when he is not busy with his restaurant next door! :)) and his team are always ultra attentive.

I ate at this restaurants with friends a few months ago and we had a great evening. I tried fegato alla veneziana which was very good, the portion was more than enough for me in terms of size and the wine was very good as well. I also enjoyed the wine.The service was very good, the owners Guy and Mirela were very friendly and the atmosphere was great. I liked how they were greeting every guest who was leaving as if we were in small village in Toscana :)Will definitely go there again and I recommend the place.

I have been visiting this coffee shop since just after it opened! recommend to lots of friends and family members! my grandaughter is three and asks to go there for a babychino and a toasted cheese sandwich, also to be made a fuss of by Guy and all the girls! The lasagne is lovely andmy fav panini with mozzarella basil parma ham. Just recently Guy has opened the restaurant next door and the food is really good!

This was just one of my recent visits. Very friendly place. You get greeted like old friends when you go in.Their sandwiches are always freshly made. Nicely presented with a little salad on the plate. The home made lasagne is also always nice.When they get their kitchen up and running they will have a lot more choice of fresh food.Looks like I'll be going there more frequently for that. And there's free Wi-Fi.

I have been going to this café since just after it open. (Even though I only live round the corner!) Food to die for! You must have a smoked salmon sandwich ! MMMMMMMMMM! And cake to die for! In fact all the food is fantastic and the coffee tastes as good as it smells! This café has grown in popularity since it opened and this is also due to the warm welcome Guy and his staff give when you enter. Nice Italian style atmosphere , everyone is welcomed like family. So glad he has opened the restaurant next door! I visit at least once a week!And if you don't have time to sit and eat Guy will safely wrap your food for take-a-way!
