Caffe Concerto ltd in City of London, Westminster

Sad to see some poor reviews, as I popped in twice last week for cakes and the young man who greeted and served me could not have been kinder or more helpful. The cakes were delicious too. Many thanks.

A great spot near a tube station in a great area. We’ve eaten here many times before. Food has always been very good…service has been ok. This time the food was delicious ( compliments to the chef) but the service was a real let down. On top of this the toilets were in a poor state, quite messy and no toilet paper in one cubicle. Very disappointing!

My wife and I had lunch and were very disappointed. * Even though it was a cold Thursday lunchtime in January, we had to wait far too long for our order to be taken and our food to be delivered. * The restaurant was uncomfortably cold and draughty. * My Calzone pizza used strips of thick cooked ham, placed on top, rather than the prosciutto that the menu indicated and that one would expect on a Calzone. It generally seemed a chaotic set up, and we were disappointed. I contacted their customer services team, who didn't even bother to reply.

Greeted very oddly by a lady at the door. After being seated the same lady took our orders and was being very rude by showing her impatience by tutting and rolling her eyes when we were ordering but seemed to be quite patient when dealing with other customers. My cutlery still had a piece of food on it and so did those of the people sitting with me . After inspecting one set of our cutlery , she says " this is not dirty" and gives the cutlery back to one of my party. She then came to our table to replace our nearly burnt out candle and swaps our candle with the one from the table behind which was also nearly burnt out. To my horror, she comes back with fresh new candle and uses our little candle to light the new candle which she gives to the table behind us. Whilst we are eating our meal, she comes back with yet another candle that she uses our candle to light AGAIN. She then comes back to ask us if everything is okay with our meal, to which a person from my party says that her cocktail is very diluted. The waitress proceeds to say " I'm talking about the pizza" and completely dismisses the issue with the drink. I am so disgusted by the conduct of that staff member and will never come back. We were very polite and stayed that way even after the poor treatment. Evidently we didn't pay service charge and I will be making a formal complaint as this is not acceptable at all. I can understand if I or anyone in my party was rude/disrespectful, but this was not the case. She clearly did not want to welcome us here.

Interesting place in the centre of London with an incredible interior and great atmosphere. Just popped in for coffee and dessert. Everything was fine, and special thanks to Niral, who tried to make our experience so memorable.

I must admit this place is a bit of a rip-off. Me and my wife went here yesterday and each had a croissant and I had a coffee and my wife had an apple juice and the bill came to £21, which I think is pretty disgusting. Coffee was fine, but croissant wasn’t anything special so not sure how they can charge these prices and The service was not that good. We asked the waitress for our bill twice and it never arrived so had to go up to the counter to pay so we will not be returning here.

Awful. Menu seems way over priced for the quality. Sat for nearly 15 mins just waiting to be served alone with me small child. Finally once I managed to get a waiters attention I asked for a flavoured hot chocolate to be told they do not have any? How? It’s a cafe , one of the coldest months of the year and festive favourite. Won’t bother return. Mediocre at best. Do better

Appalling service . No clue I had a booking. Staff look miserable looking around like they don't know what they're doing. Can't take an order properly - literally two drinks and one scone proved too tough for them. Are the staff brain dead? Useless and wildly expensive given the basic food, lukewarm drinks and poor service - will never go there again

Decided to pop in for lunch with my friend as I had eaten here before several years ago. From the moment we walked in the service was dreadful. I ordered a Macha Frappuccino and received a glass full of coconut blue milk, which was awful and I only drunk 1/4 of it. I ordered the salmon, which arrived with no dill sauce. When I asked for it the waiter looked at me in disgusts with no apology. It was served with warm cherry tomatoes and cold broccoli. My friends lamb shank was however lovely. The service here is appalling, considering the location and the décor, basic customer service is non existent. Everyone looked so miserable. Once our plates had been removed, no one offered us the dessert menu or even asked how our food was. I finally managed to get someone's attention to ask for the bill. I did ask for the service charge to be removed as I was not paying £8.00 for awful service. If you have a spare £70.00 for lunch, go someone else.

Go to the other caffe concerto closer to Piccadilly circus rather than this one by Green Park if you can. The few times I have been to this one the staff are really rude. Far better, pleasant service just down the road. I am always consciously polite towards servers but the waiter this morning treated me with disdain. It took him ten minutes to put a cake into a box and he gave the wrong instructions to the barista. He didn't seem to know the drinks menu (perhaps he is new but the attitude is unhelpful) and had zero sense of urgency. There were no other customers around at the time.

Have walked past here a few times over the years on why my way to and from various places, shopping or catching the tube but today we decided to go in. I really wish we had just walked by today too. This place looks nice from the outside and indeed the décor is good when you go in, but the food is quite poor in particular the cakes. As it was lunchtime, we decided to order a ham and cheese ciabatta and then a scone and a black forest gateau, which they did not have so I tried the chocolate cake instead. We also ordered a peppermint tea and a cappuccino. The youngest server seemed to not really know what she was doing, was just hanging about near the bar area and we had to be pointed out three times by the lady behind the bar area so that she could deliver the tea and coffee to our table. After twenty – thirty minutes the ciabattas arrived along with the scones. The ciabattas with fries and a small salad as relish were just ok, but it is the cakes and the service that really let the place down. Once I had finished it took me quite some time to flag someone down to get me my chocolate cake but after tasting it, I wish I had not bothered as it was truly horrible being sickly sweet and on the stale side. Now I have a sweet tooth, but that cake was well off the scale and I can still taste it even after a couple of hours. My partner’s scone was also very stale. This is a place where the cakes look delicious when you walk past and see them in the window, but they are far from that. The service is not much to write home about either. What we had was expensive for what it was and there are much better places in the area, so I would suggest you go somewhere else rather than go here.

My wife and I had our first experience of Caffe Concerto at the 61 Piccadilly outlet and we were not disappointed. We had a Virgin Experience voucher for a 3 course lunch with several options for each course. For starters, we chose bruschetta and mushroom arancini; for main course - rigatoni concerto (pasta, tomato and cheese sauce with chicken) plus chicken breast in mushroom/cream sauce with vegetables; for dessert -lemon fruit cheesecake and strawberry tart. All of the food was very tasty and each dish was a very good portion size. The service was friendly and efficient. Thank you to our principal waitress, Giada.

This was one of our favourite cafe when visiting London. Unfortunately on two occasions the service and the order was poor quality. On first occasion Cafe latte was lukewarm. On second occasion the saucer the drink came on was chipped. When it was brought to the waiters attention it did not sit too well. The whole drink was taken away and replaced with a new saucer but with the cup having coffee stains outside in the middle of the cup. There is a definite decline in the quality. The location, the decor and the ambience is good.

Cafe Concerto was sadly disappointing . The coffee was nice but the strawberry tart did not taste fresh. It appeared it has been stored for a long time as the strawberry’s had lost their fresh sheen and the tart was extremely cold. We didn’t think it was value for money

There is a saying 'nice from far but far from nice' and I agree with this here! Looks nice, pretty, with a good location. That is where it stops. The positives, nice atmosphere, decor, location on Green Park to people watch and ambience. Instagram! That is where it stops for me. Pastries, desserts and cakes are their speciality but they have a big variety on their menu for brunch, lunch and dinner. I had the spaghetti bolognese and fresh juice. This was apparently the only fresh juice they had. It was awful. Possibly the worst I have tasted and I love orange juice! Had a weird taste. The spaghetti bolognese although well presented and freshly made was OK. I could have made it at home. Lacked depth of flavour. The best surprise was the bill. I am all for paying and eat out a lot but at least give me some good food and service. I have just come back from super expensive Mykonos where I was happy to pay for delicious food, ambience and service. For this, I could have made better spaghetti bolognese and orange juice myself at home for a week! Please also check your bills! Service was good from one waiter but awful from another. Sneaky. They charged me twice for the orange juice and when I queried it, the waiter didn't look surprised or shocked at the error. I saw him and the other waiter chatting and making eyes. The couple next to me also had an issue with their bill. Clean. Relatively quiet Friday evening but there is another branch four minutes walk away in an even better location.

Cannot believe how bad the food was here. It used to be ok now it’s not edible. My food was so bad I ended up putting it in a box not touching it and giving it to a homeless person who frankly deserved better. You cannot serve a fruit tart with whippy spray cream instead of creme patisserie and call yourself a Patisserie place! It’s so wrong that my french grandmother is probably rolling in her grave. My friends food was worse still, cold crepes may as well slightly change the spelling of that and it might be more accurate. They replaced it but it was stodgy and rubbery pancakes you wouldn’t feed to anyone. Who the hell is cooking here ??? I want to show you how it’s done lol . I’ve now invited my friend home where I will cook this all properly and cheaper. Honest to god so angry at paying for this level of sh*t. At least the staff were wonderful, attentive and kind.

You can choose any hot drink off the menu which I liked as I don’t like tea.The first visit the cakes were substantial and the staff were quick to assist,The second visit we got halfThe amount of cakes and the stand looked half empty in comparison to the first visit. They provide a tiny pot of cream for 4 scones which is ridiculous because 90% of people will end up asking for more the pots of jam would not feed my nephew let alone me. On the second visit my request for extra jam went ignored I had to keep asking, the service was just a bit sloppy for my liking. I like consistency when visiting a brand likeThis I expect it. I would visit here again but not for any type Of cream tea, I would visit for coffee and a cake perhaps.Overall the second visit meant my score went from very good to average.

We used the vouchers off Wowcher to make this the correct price for afternoon tea. The setting is great. Really liked the setting. Food and drink were also nice. So much so we've bought more vouchers to go back again. The staff wanted to make the experience good for you.

Dopo una giornata trascorsa a Londra, mentre ci dirigevamo a piedi verso Victoria Station ci siamo fermati presso questa struttura per mangiare qualche cosa.Sinceramente l'aspetto elegante e classico, poco inglese, non mi attirava molto, ma devo ammettere che è stata una piacevole sorpresa. Siamo stati serviti al tavolo in maniera impeccabile da Davide, persona educatissima e gentile.Il menù offre una abbastanza vasta scelta di piatti che consente di soddisfare piccoli e grandi appetiti.La formula della struttura è molto flessibile, si può entrare sia per prendere una semplice fetta di torta ed un caffè oppure per fare un pasto completo.La qualità del cibo è più che buona, il servizio perfetto, i prezzi in media con la città ma contenuti.Ci ritorneremo volentieri.

We had a voucher for an afternoon tea but were in London much earlier than we anticipated so went to the restaurant to see if they could accommodate us earlier and the Manager (Vito) showed us to a table straight away . Our afternoon tea was delicious and the Manager and staff were extremely helpful and attentive. We would thoroughly recommend this branch of Caffe Concerto

저는 풀 잉글리시 브렉퍼스트를 시키고 여자친구는 비건 잉글리시 브렉퍼스트를 시켰는데 저는 무난한 맛이었다고 생각했는데 여자친구는 맛있다고 하더라구요. 가격은 좀 비쌌다고 생각합니다. 어제는 유스턴 역 근처에서 먹었는데 맛은 좀 떨어졌으나 거의 반 값이었거든요. 분위기는 매우 괜찮습니다.

Food was good, pistachio gnocchi and seafood pasta were best. Excellent service and nice ambiance. However their coffee was terrible. Do not recommend ordering any drinks except water and may be tea.

This is the third time we visited the restaurant in the past year. Today (23 December) was awful. Poor service, poor food and awful customer service. And the response from the manager was a shrug of the shoulders. Over priced and my advice is to avoid. One star overstates this place.

Das Lokal sieht von aussen sehr einladend aus, auch innerhalb ist es sehr nobel, wenn man nicht genauer an die Decke schaut.Jedenfalls der Kellner hat mich sehr freundlich empfangen und an einen Tisch begleitet. Diesen zu wechseln, weil ich nicht mitten im Raum sitzen wollte, war sehr unkompliziert. Ich habe ein stilles Mineralwasser und Fisch mit Gemüse und Süßkartoffeln bestellt.Es ist Dezember und kalt, im Glas für das Mineralwasser waren Eiswürfel!Das Essen war nicht mal lauwarm, das Gemüse UND der Fisch waren roh!!Ich habe das der Kellnerin gesagt und sie hat es ohne Diskussion mitgenommen. Sie hat mich dann informiert, dass alles neu gemacht wird und es ein bisschen länger dauert.Jedoch war es dann das gleiche Essen, der gleiche Fisch gebraten und die Haut zum Teil verbrannt, Broccoli und Sprossenkohl nun endgültig kalt und immer noch roh, Cocktailtomaten schmeckten verdorben! Den Fisch und die Süßkartoffeln habe ich gegessen, weil ich echt Hunger hatte, der Rest ging retour.Bei der Rechnung hat der Kellner für das Essen einen Nachlass gemacht, jedoch 0,75lt (Hilton) Mineralwasser fast £ 6,-? ... schade für meinen ersten Besuch in London!

Un peu décevant. Mon ami a commandé l’entrée de calmar qui avait l’air bien et j’ai commandé la soupe du jour (minestrone) qui était correcte mais sans plus. La portion était trop grosse pour moi qui n’avais pas très faim. La suite était la salade de fruits de mer pour lui et le filet de bar pour moi. Je m’attendais à recevoir le filet sur une purée de patate douce mais c’étaient des tranches de patates douces. La salade était OK mais sans plus. Je crois que leurs spécialités sont plutôt les desserts.

Convenient on Piccadilly, this restaurant seems popular for dessert. I had what was advertised as Prawns and Salmon au gratin. What came was half a dozen slices of potato in a very thick cream sauce with two small shrimps, half a dozen small mussels and clams and about half a teaspoon of salmon. I complained about the lack of salmon ant the waitress said it was shredded into the cream sauce. Well, I think the dish should be called Potatoes in Thick Fish-Flavored Sauce.

Highly recommend this very friendly restaurant, it was very busy but the staff were as attentive as ever. Thanks very much for a lovely lunch Caffè concerto :)

I use to go there with fancy people. The place is well designed, coquette and fancy. Very exquisite and enjoyable. I like the mock-tails in the summer and all the cakes are yum yum. Never fails, summer, rain, winter, any season...a great fancy place

Fui con un amigo a tomar el té de la tarde con una copa de Prosecco incluida y ambos disfrutamos mucho la experiencia. Como lo había estado antes, pedí sentarme más arriba en la parte posterior junto al falso cerezo, cuando al llegar mostramos mesas en el frente y pedimos elegir.

Parece que donde quiera que mires en Londres hay Caff Concertos. Hay una razón para eso. Al igual que otros, el que fuimos estaba ubicado en una zona de tráfico peatonal pesado. sirvió comida razonable (para ser sincero, mejor de lo que esperaba) a precios bastante elevados pero aún razonables, ofrecía una amplia variedad de elementos de menú, etc. Estábamos buscando algo más que una hamburguesa o un almuerzo de pub, y encontramos esto lugar para ser una opción razonable para una ensalada, pasta, pescado, etc.

Wir haben am nachmittag einen sehr schönen, wenn auch engen Tisch am Fenster ergattert. Das Ambiente ist sehr stilvoll und gediegen, der Service war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und der Kaffee, wie auch der Kuchen war ausgezeichnet.

Enjoyable place to meet for lunch but could not get a late breakfast. The cafe has strict times for breakfast and lunch.

... and really friendly service. The menu is lengthy - so something to suit everyone - and includes vegan food. I was there with two friends for lunch and we all enjoyed our selections including the tiramisu which was the best I have tasted anywhere for many years!

I booked afternoon tea at 61 Piccadilly, Caffé Concerto, for my friend and I via Groupon and I called to make a reservation a few days beforehand. On arrival, the manager Vito was very kind and welcoming. The staff were professional and attentive. The food was great. We ordered an extra pot of tea each (which is chargeable) as only one pot of tea is included in the Groupon deal. However, Vito was kind enough to give us the extra pot of tea on the house so we did not pay extra. It was a lovely experience overall. I definitely prefer this place in comparison to the other branch on the same road. Will be back!

Went there for a birthday afternoon tea with a Groupon voucher. Lovely interior as it had been refurbished this year. Food was ok but a pretty basic afternoon tea. There were six little cakes but three of them contained Creme Patissiere which was a shame as my daughter doesn't like it so her choice was limited. Only gave us one cup of coffee whereas other places offer two. One small pot of clotted cream between us for four scones, which wasn't enough even though we had two small jars of jam. Would go back as the meals look good and generous but there are better places for the Afternoon Tea. Most places give you something extra if they know you have a birthday but they didn't offer anything when I mentioned it. Waiters were lovely though!

A pesar de que nos llevaron a una mesa a la llegada y nos dieron menús, nos abandonaron y justo cuando estábamos a punto de salir, apareció un camarero. No estaban tan ocupados, a media tarde y con algo así como 7 empleados flotando, no había excusa para un mal servicio. Probé la tarta de mazapán y almendras que luego apareció cubierta de crema y sabor a manzana. Había un ligero toque de almendra, pero el mazapán se perdió en mí. Mi esposa tenía la bruschetta de tomate que tenía una sobrecarga completa de ajo. El café helado estaba bien, así como la bebida fría de bayas. Tuvimos que esperar años para recibir una factura y encontramos un cargo por servicio del 12% agregado automáticamente. Esta cadena tiene numerosos sitios alrededor del centro de Londres y si este también es el estándar en los demás, es probable que los turistas sean los principales clientes. Espero que mejore su juego en el futuro.

Mi amigo y yo tomamos 'té para dos', que era bastante normal, las teteras plateadas eran lindas pero no eran bolsas sueltas de té, los sándwiches de tres niveles eran extraños de manejar, los rellenos eran sabrosos pero estaban pegados en un extraño camino.

Teníamos el té para dos. No estaba mal, era bastante normal, nada me quitaba los calcetines y todo sabía que podías comprarlo todo en el supermercado. Solo comimos un bocado de todo para saborearlo. Los bollos y el té estaban bastante bien. La tarifa del servicio se incluye automáticamente, pero el servicio también es promedio, así que hubiera preferido no pagarla.

Disfruté no una sino dos cenas encantadoras aquí durante mi corta visita a Londres. El lugar tiene un ambiente muy acogedor especialmente para la cena. Ofrecieron una comida muy valiosa de dos o tres platos (tuvieron que pasar el postre después de ser rellenados), y fueron atendidos con muy deliciosas ofertas. Me encantó la sopa de tomate y el bistec de atún que pedí Nicoise. El servicio fue rápido y cálido, especialmente desde el maître.

I came here last night for dinner with friends. The food was delicious we each had different main courses and shared the Italian bread basket with Olive paste to start. I had spaghetti bologneise which was delicious. Very well cooked and presentation was perfect. Other friends had different main meals and they all said they were delicious. We were served by Vito who did a splendid job looking after us. Thank You! It's also a great value for money, we each paid £40, for a main course, bread and wine was super. Thank you ever so much, we will be back soon.

We popped in for afternoon tea on Saturday afternoon. Everything looked ship shape. Service was great. Decor fun, fine crockery and cutlery, but the tea and cake was expensive and disappointing. As I said it all looked great and the Pistachio cake could have come from a movie or photo shoot, but tasted terrible!

We ordered fritto misto and assumed it would be freshly cooked to fit into the "fine dining" claim of cafe concerto. It was cheap freezer food, and unpleasant - fine dining - what a joke. Avoid this sham of a cafe. The toilet was tiny and unpleasant which matched the food.

Our morning started with tea and snacks at Caffe Concerto in Brompton Road and finished with tea and cake at Green Park - certainly not disappointed. Well presented, friendly staff and the cakes we chose were absolutely delicious!

Stopped here with the family for a late breakfast and I’m glad we did. We all had the full English breakfasts or the pancakes and we were all very happy. Except for minor mistakes made by the waiter it’s an excellent place. Coffee’s the best I’ve

After having a stroll around London and a open tour bus trip, we decided to pop in and treat ourselves to afternoon tea, this was lovely, we had only had 1 cake stand with a variety of sandwiches,cake and dessert and we found this quite sufficient for the two of us.

We went with a group of 18 (hockey team) to have afternoon tea. We went there 11:00 and made a reservation for the same day at 14:00. They managed to give us a full afternoon tea with loads of beautiful cakes, sandwiches and scones. Everything tasted amazing. It was truly a great experience!

I can only comment on the tea we had here on a Friday night - great service, good tea, beautiful interiors, nice live music and if you are sitting by the window, great for people watching. Exactly what we needed on a Friday night, when all the other places are full of drunk people.

My boyfirend and I had a lunch here and it was nice. We didnt find service slow how you can usually see here in coments. They where pretty fast and working hard. The food was amazing, We had some starters, main course and dessert. The only thing we didnt like was the fact that this is pretty much busy and noisy place, but everything else was really nice.
