I recently visited Concerto where the staff and service were excellent—friendly and attentive throughout my visit. The soup of the day was delicious and well-prepared, a definite highlight of the meal. However, I was disappointed that, despite the restaurant being mostly empty and it not being peak lunch or dinner hours, I wasn’t given a table by the window as I had requested. It seemed like a small detail that could have elevated the overall experience. While the food and service were great, this oversight left me slightly underwhelmed.

Experiencia extremadamente desagradable en Caffè Concerto King’s Road anoche. El gerente masculino tomó nuestro pedido, pero no se lo dio a la cocina. Mi papá y yo nos sentamos en el restaurante durante 50 minutos y no obtuvimos nada, ni siquiera un vaso de agua del grifo. La camarera era muy amable y nos ayudó a comprobar lo que estaba pasando. Pero no hay disculpas del gerente masculino que tomó nuestra orden y ninguna compensación en absoluto. Nos fuimos sin cenar después de sentarnos allí por nada durante una hora.

Extremely unpleasant experience at Caffè Concerto King’s Road last night. The male manager took our order but didn’t give it to the kitchen. Me and my dad just sat in the restaurant for 50 mins and didn’t get anything, not even a glass of tap water. The waitress was very kind and helped us check what was going on. But no apologies from the male manager who took our order and no compensation at all. We left without having dinner after sitting there for nothing for an hour.

She went above and beyond to help us reschedule and even stayed past her shift to ensure everything was in order. Her dedication and excellent service made our visit truly memorable. Disappointing Decline in Quality This restaurant used to be a lovely spot to spend an evening, but unfortunately, our recent visit left us disappointed. Over the past few months, it seems that the place has experienced a noticeable decline in both service and food quality. We came specifically for the fish and chips, a dish we’ve always enjoyed here, but this time it was far from the standard we’ve come to expect. The fish was soggy, and the chips were not only cold but also lacked the crispness that usually makes them so enjoyable. To make matters worse, the service was slow and underwhelming. The staff appeared overworked, and the restaurant seemed to be understaffed, which resulted in long wait times both for placing our order and for receiving our food. Even when we tried to order dessert, we had to wait significantly longer than usual. The cakes we had for dessert were also disappointing—they didn’t seem fresh, which was a shame given the reputation they once had. Additionally, there were concerns about the cleanliness and hygiene of some staff members, which is something I hope they address. Overall, our experience was far from what it used to be. It's clear that some improvements are needed, particularly in staffing and food quality, to return to the high standards this restaurant was once known for.

I made a reservation for afternoon tea for my family and I, it was their first afternoon tea and we were very excited and the service was one of the worst I have ever had. Was very disappointed very frustrated. I also need to be clear that unfortunately the manager was the one that was rude, the staff actually was very kind

extremely overpriced with 25% service charge

What a disgraceful and overpriced place! We went to Coffee Concerto on King’s Road for a simple coffee and cake, only to be hit with a shocking bill of £47 for two coffees and two cakes. Imagine our surprise when we were told that prices were doubled because it was Christmas Day! If you’re going to charge double, the least you could do is put up a sign at the door, show clear pricing on the cakes, or provide a menu so customers are informed. Even better, mention this to people when they sit down. Instead, you let customers enjoy their coffee only to ambush them with a ridiculous bill. This ruined what was supposed to be a festive outing. It’s not even about the money—it’s the lack of transparency and the unpleasant situation you’ve created. This approach is unfair, unprofessional, and frankly feels like a scam. As a local and regular customer, I’m appalled by this treatment. Charging double without prior notice is not just unethical but potentially illegal. Shame on you for exploiting people during the holidays. I will not be returning.

I would like to leave a compliment for one of your amazing staff, Ludmila, who works in Kings Road, Chelsea. She’s been serving me several times and every time with her beautiful smiles, that put me in a very good mood. Not to mention, she serves her customer with respect and kindness, she also makes the best hot chocolate too, which I enjoy a lot. Having such an amazing staff in your company, is a privilege not only to the company owner but also for any locals, who comes on a daily basis to this store to have a coffee or food. Please forward my appropriation to her, as I wanted to leave this comment for a long time, but never got a chance to do so. Thanks for recruiting such a gem in your company, she is amazing.

3 waiters were brilliant. And there was a lovely Brazilian waitress who made sure we got the bill. But we were greeted by an extremely grumpy head waiter. He rushed my DIL through ordering and when we wanted to pay he told us to wait, we waited 10mins to pay. I had to go to the back of the restaurant to find the other waiters, in order to pay.

I was very disappointed with my visit to this cafe. The piece of strawberry cake I ordered was so huge that it barely fit on the plate. The waitress just said that the boss had cut the cake like that. Other guests also received oversized pieces, giving the impression that the leftovers were distributed haphazardly. The sloppily served plate really annoyed me. For an upscale location I expect professional service - unfortunately this experience was anything but that.

This place should ruin our day. First time I encounter a place that I don’t feel welcome, bad customer service, the staff are not smiling and not treated us right. I got a voucher, a gift from my sister, however the picture of the voucher is not clear but I got a voucher number and email confirmation but the waitress Ez didn’t accept it. She didn’t even try to check if the voucher number which is valid. I ask her to show me the correct and pleasant picture of the voucher she is looking for but hesitant to show me and she said “this is my voucher”. hey As If I will get it from you! Then me and my partner decided to order and not to use the voucher for now. I call the same waitress, but she delayed coming back to me, and prioritise the other customer, given that I called her first. so we patiently wait. Then she came after 8-10mins, I supposed to order but I just asked her first if the email confirmation from buyagift.com is okay, and she respond persistently said No, not even saying Sorry at all or giving other options and tried to go back to the counter. With this, we firmly decided not to order and eat here at all as We felt not welcome. Eventhough my sister gave me the clear copy of the voucher, We still decided not to use it here. Or even order without using it. I hope you guys know a proper customer service, treat fairly and be nice to all even if we are Asians. We are also professionals here in London. Thank you.

We tried to eat at Caffe Concerto, Kings Road yesterday and found it to be absolutely appalling. The waiter was rude from the moment we walked in. We had reserved a table but he walked us past the reserved made up tables to a dirty, unmade up table by the stairs to the toilets. We asked if it was possible to move and he simply said no very loudly. He threw the menus on the table, at which point I asked if there was a gluten free menu or could he tell me what gluten free options there were … he laughed, rolled his eyes, pointed at the cakes at the front and said do we look like we make gluten free food?! I pointed out that when I called they had assured me they could cater for this requirement - again he laughed and said why would we do that, we cook Italian food! Italy is one of the best countries in the world for gluten free food, so clearly they’re not cooking authentic Italian food at all. So we left, telling him what we thought of him and his attitude. There are plenty of great options in the Kings Road, so please do yourselves a favour and try them instead of giving Caffe Concerto your custom. What a horrible man.

Servicio absolutamente terrible. El camarero fue grosero desde el momento en que entramos. Habíamos reservado una mesa, pero él nos acompañó más allá de las mesas hechas reservadas a una mesa sucia, sin hacer por las escaleras a los baños. Le preguntamos si era posible moverse y él simplemente dijo que no muy alto. Preguntamos qué opciones sin gluten hay y él se rió, puso los ojos en nosotros, señaló los pasteles en la parte delantera y dijo: ¿parece que hacemos comida sin gluten? Señalé que el sitio web decía que ofrecen un menú sin gluten y de nuevo se rió y dijo ¿por qué haríamos eso, cocinamos comida italiana! Así que nos fuimos, diciéndole en términos claros lo que pensábamos de su actitud. Hay muchas otras opciones en el Camino de los Reyes, por favor háganse un favor y pruébenlas en lugar de darles a estas personas su costumbre.

Great mushroom risotto, terrible minestrone soup, large portions. Management is rude and service very disappointing. Double check your bill before paying as they seem to mark up prices of dishes in hopes that you don’t do the maths. I like other Caffe Concerto branches. Will avoid this one.

The food takes quite a while to arrive, the internet doesn't work inside the café, no Wi-Fi available, and the dishes feel overpriced for their average taste. It seems to cater more to tourists than locals.

Slow service. Expensive. Has the stomach to charge 12,5% for the non-existing service. Avoid.

This caffeconcerto is in a great location but we were really disappointed. Few people in the restaurant at 7pm gives some indication of it's popularity.

1 star is a too much for this place. So cold atmosphere, waiter was so rude and miserable with a sulky face since the moment we entered. This place serves food and horrible cakes but just looking at the waiters clothes will put you off. It needs to ameliorate their service and urgently train their waiters otherwise one of London’s famous coffee is going downhill.

Avoid this place. Dirty plate, stale food, anaemic coffee, massively overpriced. Ordered almond croissant - the underside of the plate it came on covered my hands in ketchup so perhaps not washed properly or from another dirty plate it had been placed on before service so seems there is a major issue with hygiene and simple procedure. No apologies or reduction in price. Almond croissant was mouth burning hot even after delay while fresh plate arrived despite not having asked if I wanted it warm. Bread stale

Excellent place, elegant, tasty, warm, cosy and most of all delicious!!! The waiter (Yuri) was very good as well, professional and welcoming. We absolutely recommend this place. Tip: best hot chocolate with scones (cream and jam)

Lovely place! Got dessert here and it's amazing! Our servers were called Tahmid and aarzoo who were so kind and sweet! If you are looking for a place to get dessert I would definitely recommend!

The atmosphere is good and relaxed. Desert was a bit too sweet and too much sugar. However, the service is quite well, Aarzoo and Tahmid were really nice and they were very helpful.

Our experience at Caffé Concerto King's Road was not the best, to say the least. Our waiter was quite disorganized and several of the desserts listed on the menu weren't available. We would've understood if one of them were gone for the day, but this was more than one. The taste of the desserts and drinks was fine, but nothing special and it didn't exactly taste like the desserts were homemade. It was quite expensive and took longer than expected as well. Additionally, the bathrooms were quite gross and the decor in the cafe wasn't very nice either. In summary, expensive, bad service and very average desserts and drinks.

Many items on the menu were not available. Much of the food that was available felt pre-processed. The waiting staff were slow and confused. Not worth the price.

Confused servers and majority of the menu was out of stock. When we got the food it was no more than mid. Dont go here if you are looking for a good meal or a calm coffee!

Bastante caro pero no le importó pagar si la comida era decente, desafortunadamente era mediocre y la comida se servía tibia. Lo peor fue presenciar a uno de los camareros gritando agresivamente y maldiciendo a un miembro más joven del personal que parecía ser nuevo, fue horrible presenciarlo y nos hizo sentir muy incómodos. La guinda del pastel fue cuando se negaron a aceptar dinero escocés. Qué grosero.

Teniendo en cuenta que está en una de las principales calles comerciales de Londres, la relación calidad-precio es muy buena. Comimos pescado con papas fritas y un risotto de hongos. Compartí un postre, Tirrimasu, que no era tan bueno como el menú sugería. La lima y el refresco no tenían lima en él solo una rodaja de limón. El servicio era irregular. Mucha actividad preparando mesas a nuestro alrededor para el servicio nocturno pero falta de interés en tomar pedidos y despejar mesas. La comida era buena pero no especial. Volvería si estuviéramos en la zona.

We arrived at Cafe Concerto and they hadn’t saved us a table for our reservation. We eventually got seated (after standing up for a long while, note: I am heavily pregnant and I was with a friend whom is 80 and struggles to stand). We ordered our food. It wasn’t a problem that the food took a long time to come (as we can see they were very busy). However, what the problem was that when we eventually got our food (I ordered the afternoon tea for 1) the bread of the sandwiches were very stale and really dry as if the food has been left out all day. Couldn’t eat it at all. Overall an awful experience

Amazing cakes and coffee, more expensive than you normal coffee shop, but this is not a normal coffee shop, well worth stopping and enjoying a nice coffee and one of the amazing cakes.

Went out with a friend to catch up. The waiter was quite rude and didn’t have any manners; no greeting or patience at all, and when trying to pay my friend was on the phone and couldn’t wait a second for her to get her card out and proceeded to put the card machine right infront of her face, was quite embarrassing. The food I ordered was the creme pastry stand and it was quote stale and standard at best, the only nice thing was the drinks; summer kiss cocktail was good. Overall, wouldn’t come back.

We had an exceptional dining experience with its elegant ambiance, attentive service, and delicious food. The warm, inviting atmosphere perfectly complements the friendly, and very considerate staff who ensure your meal is just right. The chef is amazing at presenting and plating the food. The drinks have been served a picture like instagram-worthy. Their exclusive offer deals made our dining budget friendly too.

Nasrin was absolutely amazing! She was attentive, friendly, and made excellent recommendations. The food was fantastic, and Nasrin’s service made the experience even better. The restaurant had a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back.

Oh Dear God avoid this place at all costs. The food and service is that bad you have to serve your own drinks as the staff are that brain dead they can’t. The Food is a health and safety hazard, it’s so bad the chef can’t cook spaghetti pasta or even chips. The cost is pure robbery for what is probably the worst restaurant in the U.K. have some sense and go somewhere else.

I had an extremely disappointing experience at the Cafe Concerto branch on Kings Road today. I went to pick up a collection order and encountered a manager, I believe named Alger, who was incredibly rude. Despite showing our confirmation emails, Alger made us wait an unreasonably long time and then had the audacity to question whether we had already picked up the cake, citing a missing cake in their records. This was not only insulting but completely unfounded, especially considering we are frequent customers and regularly order cakes from Concerto. His behavior was utterly unprofessional and unacceptable. I am baffled at how someone like him was appointed as a manager, as he clearly lacks the necessary customer service skills. I hope his position is reviewed as even the regular wait staff were more considerate than him. I am extremely disappointed and will not be returning to this branch solely due to this negative encounter with Alger. This experience has left a sour taste and has greatly tarnished our view of Cafe Concerto.

No greetings/apologies or even effort to cater my order since it’s Unavailable the cake I ordered in uber eats (take note, it’s the manager who answered the call). so unprofessional and lack/poor communication skills towards costumers. Never again!!!
