Not bad. Only had coffee but it was OK. 02/08/2024 : had pizza today and it was sensational! HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Absolutely lovethis place. Good menu, great atmosphere and the live music from Ellyn Oliver was just the best! Would definitely recommend it.

Place looks amazing however I just can't bring myself to spend the prices they are asking. I understand the quality is high but in all seriousness it's just as easy to find another place a bit further out that sell just as good products at a much cheaper rate. £20 for a burger is a bit outrageous, especially if they pride themselves on being able to source the best meat through there own farm etc. surely this would reflect in the pricing. I might try visiting the place one day, just don't want to waste a fortune on food that could and should be cheaper. Were currently all struggling in today's climate due to the cost of living so it would make sense to work a bit harder in regards to pricing.

We were looking just to pop out local for something to eat. Called 1912 while in the car & managed to get a table. Food was utterly tasteless. My husband had a burger & I had beef fajitas. The only taste in the fajitas was the jalapeños that I ashes for as extra. £45 for two mains & glass of wine & a juice. We won’t return.

Service and atmosphere was spot on , but let down by 1 of the mains . Signature burger was tasteless and bland , we were asked after we had paid how it was , and told the waitress , who did say she wish we had mentioned before we paid which was appreciated.

Called in on Bathgate Procession afternoon, got a seat waited for a while before ordering drinks, staff member pulled me up for taking a seat without waiting to be shown to a table advised him that I had a seat and nipped out and came back in, was then advised that the area we were seated at was booked out by a large party, cancelled the drinks and left!

VERY disapointing experience! Chanced our arm on Procession day to pop in for a couple of drinks, we were initally delighted when the young waitress said she could accomade and showed us to our seats in the bar area. Things then started to go down hill , after 10 mins we had to chase the young lady to come for our drinks order which we did . We then waited another 20 minutes which we understand the place is busy , however my wife left the table briefly and was told abruptly by a senior member of staff we had to leave as we had no booking , after protesting we had been waiting for drinksafter being allowed in he stated we could have our drinks but had a limited time to drink them !! We left the premises then as this was out and out rude i sincerely hope this gentleman doesnt deleiver the training to all the staff , we will certainly not be back !!

Friendly waiting staff, delicious coffee and a comfortable relaxed atmosphere. Cafebar 1912 makes me feel like I'm in Manchester's Northern Quarter and as far as I understand that was the idea. A butcher from Bathgate fell in love with a coffee loving vegetarian from Manchester. When she moved up the road with him she missed the cafe's and bars of home. So they made one together. I only went in for a coffee but go back to try the food.

Been a few times now, for breakfast and for lunch. Can’t fault it! Good food good prices 😃

My friend and I went on Tuesday for the Christmas menu. We opted for the Findlaters Pate to start with and then Turkey Roulade.Both courses were excellent and the wine too.Lovely night and very good value.Will certainly returned.

My little one is a fussy eater but loves the food here. Always fresh, and good quality.

Loved the food, nothing was too much problem. Music and singers were a little loud so made it hard to chat amongst the table.

In general the food was good but I struggled to cut the lonely sausage with the knife I was given. Not really the fault of the knife, to be honest. Excellent service though and in general I liked the place.

Lovely meal on Friday with lovely friends. Had the 2 course Xmas menu and can highly recommend the burger. Pretty much cleared my plate 😋

Was here on the 9th of November and we were in a group of 9 with 9 babies, that was specified when booking. Upon arrival it was evident that all the buggies would not fit in the restaurant. We managed to take 5 of the buggies back to the cars. Upon doing this we had to wake up the babies to remove them from their buggy. 3 members of the party were rudely spoken to by a waitress and they were getting rejected at the door due to not being able to return their buggies to the car. They were eventually let in, but 2 members were seated at a separate table. There was only 1 buggy at the main table. As we were all seated the sun was shining through the window, and we asked a waiter to pull the blind down, he said that they don't move and brought 3 sunglasses to the table. This was fine for the adults but what about the babies that were in the arms of their mother's? The members of the party that returned their buggy to the car had to hold onto their babies while eating their food, as they were not ready for a high chair. There was no changing rooms to change the babies, and I had to wait until I was home to change my little one. Overall the restaurant is not baby friendly, and I will not be returning!

Hadn't booked and venue was busy for a Tuesday afternoon. Managed to get seated at a table for 3 to celebrate our Son's birthday. Menu was varied and lots to choose from. Food was delicious and service was great. We opted for Mains - chicken balmoral pie, spicy beef strips salad and a burger. All enjoyed their choice so much we decided to go ahead and order desserts. With drinks our bill came in under £90 so we were very pleased with that too. 1st visit and won't be our last I'm sure!

Came here for a birthday lunch. The food was fantastic and the staff were brilliant. First time here and the 3 of us throughly enjoyed it. Excellent service, food and staff.

Me and the good lady was in on a quiet Sunday , got a good seat up on the mezzanine area , all 3 courses were perfect for both of us , the haggis , burger , ,chicken tempura ,was banging, would go back no bother , service was brilliant too 👍

We decided to try 1912 for an evening meal and we were not disappointed. It was not crowed but nicely busy. The service by the friendly staff was great and the food was excellent as was the wine. Not over prices and decent portions that you could finish. An perfectly cooked and very tasty Sirloin steak.

Staff say they are over booked but when you phone they say there is space so they are declining some people at the door. They have told people multiple times they are closing early and asked people to leave while remaining there sitting chatting for up to 2 hours afterwards.

Decided to take my mum out for lunch for her birthday. Decide on 1912 would be nice. With her having dementia she is slow on her feet and as we entered 1912 it took a little time to talk her into walking in. I asked for a table for 3 and when I said I had no booking. I was informed they were fully booked, this is not unusual so said thank you and left. The people behind us also left as they had no booking. I went round round the corner to see if there somewhere else to go. There was nothing so i returned down the street and was sure I saw the people behind me sitting at a table in 1912, there were also still a number of empty tables. I decided to call and see if I could book a table , low and behold i was told I was told i could come in when I was ready I immediately entered the restaurant and spoke to the person who rejected us and btw who also answered my call I was watching him as I was on the phone. he said the only tables available were upstairs. 1. my mother can get up stairs all be it slowly we were not offered or asked if she could manage 2. the couple behind me who didn't have a booking were in fact sitting downstairs 3) when I phoned to book a table i was not informed the tables were only available upstairs. given he just rejected someone due to what he apparently thought was mobility you think he would have mentioned this. 4) Given when you make a booking you are not told where you are sitting, surely if the real concern was my mums mobility a table could have been made available? Please think twice before going, you may not fit in

The best café in Bathgate BRIDGE CAFE was fully booked, So we walked the few yds. to Cafébar 1912 & the place was near empty. My friend & i both had baked tatties 🥔 🥔 that came in a BOWL 🥣 with a poor side salad & it was a bit footerly trying to eat it in the bowl, & the main problem was a piece of my skin on the potato looked like crusty dirt baked on to it & my friend only ate about 1/2 of her baked potato 🥔 because of dark discoloured chunk of potato, at least the so called LARGE COFFEE was 🔥& tasted good 👍 but the only LARGE bit about the coffee was the cup was wide at the top & narrow at the bottom. The waiter didn't say there would be no payment for my friends potato.

Food was amazing , pulled pork dog with crispy onions mustard BBQ sauce , was woowzer ... Nice beer Moretti on draught , amazing pudding , my only fault would be £2.60 for a glass of soda water 🤔🤔🤔 warm and flat ... But nevertheless would definitely recommend and go back

I'm not gonna lie. But the haggis cheese burger 🍔 is anmence. Comes on an unusual black and white bun, which I was a bit apprehensive about but dam!!!!!!! It's quality 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 beef at its best

It's a lovely and cosy place, that does a number of classic and modern cocktails as well as a number of exclusive cocktails you will only find here (and its sister bars). Great for a wee catch up with friends or as a date!!! (especially with the live music on the weekends!!)

Waited 45 mins in an empty restaurant for 2 x pizza. When they eventually came, they were tiny! They looked and tasted like a kid made it at home economics class!....... And they were £9 each! .......overpriced garbage ! This is the 3rd attempt at eating here , every time I think maybe the staff were just having a bad day. No, unfortunately it's the same every time. Won't be back, I'm afraid

Relaxed family atmosphere,toilets are freezing but clean,staff pleasant,respectful and professional.

A really nice place to go for a scottish breakfast. It was a lovely little building and the interior is very well put together. Service was very friendly and they made sure to ask if you were alright for drinks etc.. Breakfast we had was really nice including items that I usually wouldn't enjoy as much. The Scottish tatties were definitely a stand out, shame you don't get it on the smaller breakfast. Only thing letting it down would be the price of the items was quite expensive and the quantity that they give you but overall a really nice experience

Great venue, good atmosphere. Unfortunately I felt that the breakfast was a bit overcooked for me, square sausage and haggis especially. My partner didn't want beans, but mushrooms instead with the half breakfast, this was an extra cost, not sure why considering the portion size of beans I had was no more than an dessertspoon? Serving soup in an enamel mug for a 2 year old wasn't the best either in my opinion.

Just want to take a moment to thank Aiden who served us breakfast this morning in this cafe just across from where we used to work. Aiden was polite, attentive, professional and respectful. Efficient and with a sense of humour too. I ordered poached eggs on toast. Thanks to the chef who cooked them perfectly. Delicious. My friend enjoyed her breakfast too. Tea and coffee just what we needed to wash it all down. Nice decor too and listening to Sade over breakfast, what more could you wish? Mellow, relaxed, easing into the day. Thanks to all at 1912.

Really rate this place, food is excellent.

Great quality food. Only been twice, both times in the same week. First time for breakfast, shop had just opened, service was very slow. Second time foe lunch, we were upstairs and at first service for first drink was ok, meals were very fast. We were not offered a second round of drink, I went downstairs to order for some of us. We were also not offered dessert. I am sure if we were offered more drinks and dessert, more turnover could have been made?
