The best curry I had on my 2 1/2 week trip to Great Britan. The staff is wonderful. Can not say enough nice things about our experience. Tom from Saratoga Springs, NY

After a 4 minute walk we stumbled across this place and I’m so glad we did. The breakfast hit the spot. It was so filling, I struggled to eat but because it was so nice I didn’t want to leave any. The 2 ladies there were so friendly, ensured we had everything we wanted an needed. The food was very tasty and cooked eggs to perfection.

Great little cafe run by two lovely ladies..Great service, great breakfast and all at a great price...did I mention how great this place is? If you are staying at Ibis I recommend skipping the breakfast there and crossing the road to Cafe Red.

We had breakfast every morning here during our 4 day trip to Belfast and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff are really friendly. We had the full fry up which was really tasty and a big plateful and also the porridge with fresh berries and honey which was yummy. Give this cafe a visit if you are in Belfast you will be made very welcome.

The best food we had the whole trip. We would definitely go back again. If this was the first place we’ve had eaten at the first day of our trip, we would’ve gone everyday for breakfast! The people working there were so friendly and helpful with any questions about the menu. The portions were great and the food was so fresh. It is a must stop for breakfast. Full with locals so you know it must be good. They might not have the same hype of some of the nearby places but they are by far the best.

Kerry and her staff were amazing. I stayed at the Ibis hotel nearby which was going through renovation at the time so they didn't have a restaurant and recommended to go to cafe red for breakfast. The food and drinks were of high quality, prices are fair and service is fast. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and there is a nice and cosy atmosphere inside. The place opens at 8am and on one day I had a tour booked for the early morning so Kerry suggested she will come 30 minutes earlier on that day and open up just for me so I could have my breakfast and coffee before the tour and she did come right on the time we agreed on. I travel a lot and I've been to 51 countries and it's not every day you meet people which are so nice and friendly and make your experience in a place unforgettable and Kerry was definitely doing it. Needles to say Kerry was also suggesting things for me to see and do in Belfast while I'm around. If you're ever in Belfast you must must must visit cafe red.

Our experience was as everyone else's here - cheery staff, good value, quick service, good food, generous portions. But take note that on weekdays it doesn't open until about 09:30. So if your idea of breakfast is something like 07:30, then this isn't the cafe for you. But if you can wait until half past nine for an Ulster fry to set you up for the day, and you're happy with the great British 'caff' with its classic fry-up and slightly sticky plastic tablecloths, you'll be happy at Cafe Red.

This has to be one of our best finds in Belfast. Tucked away at the top of Castle Street two doors down from IBIS Belfast Central..We were fed up of £8 , £9 , £10 breakfasts curling up under a heat lamp, so we gave it a try and have used it ever since. 20/24 coversneat little tables…. Clean cutlery and china.. And best of all….. Your selection cooked to order. Very tasty wonderful value ... A mini 5 piece Fry for £2.50 ..or a whopping full Ulster Fry for under £5 that will keep you going for the rest of the day .. Wonderful big mug of lovely coffee ... Fresh brewed tea.. Eat in or take away… Cooked by the very welcoming Kerry ably assisted out front by Laura.. Even if we dont see them for 6 to 12 months, we are recognised immediately and have a laugh and a joke.. Best of all ... They even open on a Sunday at 0930 while it seems the rest of Belfast recovers !.Whilst not in the most salubrious area once through those doors the locals chat with the visitors, always a bit of craic with the numerous trades people calling in for their take-aways and the area is least from your mind. Well done to all the team.

In Belfast on our way to the titanic exhibition and stopped for a light lunch. Lovely little cafe, lots of yummy lunch choices like ham and cheese croissants and hot baguettes and so many cakes 😋 tea came in a massive pot and we were offered top ups of hot water which was a lovely touch. Really friendly staff, definitely recommend 👌🏻
