Cafe King in North Down

called in for a bite to eat 100per cent 1st class grub and very cheap prices will be back everytime we call to bangor.

Stopped in for a late breakfast which consisted of 2 bacon beans and scrambled eggs and one cup of tea,my daughter had a small fry and water. Cost nearly £16.00 outrageous price . Won’t be back.

A wee spot hidden away down side street in Bangor Staff are friendly I had the meat feast fry and it was really good In this world of healthy living and don’t eat this and that, this place bucks the trend and does it old skool which I love Everyone might not, but I do 😊😊😊 It does have ‘normal’ ‘healthy’ options too Oh I had a brownie to finish off too and it was YUM 😛😛😛

Just off high street close to train station and marina. Friendly service, fresh produced food. Huge helpings, good simple food like mother used to make.

I heard that the late lamented Penguin which shut down some months ago had reopened (new owner, new name, new staff) offering similar fare. Very good breakfast. We will be back!

I used to eat here quite often - as it is a very cheap place to have a breakfast. Cooking is usually one style "over-cooked" and service is very rough. They seem to use only the cheapest of ingredients, fair I suppose as it is reflected in the price. But to my mind, there are much better places to eat for not much more money and not very far away! One of the things I'd like to see changed here is the ventilation. The whole place reeks of cooking bacon, a smell that clings to your clothes. All in all, OK though

I popped in for a fry and had never been before. I ordered a mini fry which was in fact enormous and well cooked. The only real quibble I have is rather inattentive service which made it impossible to order anything additional after the food had been served. The Cafe is also very good value for money but I don’t think I’ll go back.

Karl/issy the owners are very nice people,food very good and great choice.nothing is ever to much bother.food is always cooked to a high standred.and food always freshy made.

Visited for the first time and had a wonderful breakfast. Service was great friendly and portion size was good. Very tasty food at a good price. Will be back again.

Lunch with the family. Warm service and good food, what more do you need? Good value for money as well.

in for lunch today, had to ask both waitresses where was my food. In between times i had decided to use the toilet, got there eventually with feet sticking to the floor throughout, one toilet for all, hand drier poor, generally very dirty in the whole place. Eventually when lunch arrived (very slow service), very greasy and generally not well presented at all, i am sure one review wont matter, but sorry i will not be back

My wife and I called in yesterday. We had one mini fry and one medium medium both with drinks included. Total price 8 pounds. Great value. Good service. Thank you chef. Jim and Lorraine

Friendly staff, great food, good prices what's not to like. Try the roast dinner if your hungry. They even allow dogs if they are well behaved. 11 out of 10!

Friend recommended to me so tried it out with my Dad.Service quick and friendly and as previous reviews very homely and down to earth.Found the place spotless.Menu is extensive with something for everyone and prices are superb.Second visit and will keep coming back.More people should support this little gem.

Friendly staff. Always the same nice people working. A good hearty breakfast at a reasonable cost. Also does great dinner meals.

Excellent liver and bacon. All fresh food freshly cooked. You'll go a long way to equal the quality of the food. Simple decor, plain honest food. Unpretentious. Friendly welcome. A real treat for hungry sailors who are not seeking something poncy.

A pesar de los comentarios anteriores, con comida de calidad en mi opinión. Presentación preparado perfectamente y es de primera categoría.

Limpio y acogedor café súper barato. Fuimos para el desayuno a la hora del almuerzo y los dos estábamos muy impresionados que le prepara el desayuno gratis era. El precio incluía té/café.

Nosotros huevos y patatas fritas 2,20 libras para una increíble. Que tipo de golpes en todas partes en la zona de salida del agua. En ocasiones anteriores he tenido, además de carne, pollo, cerdo, o cenas por £5 o 6 libras libras (con verduras, patatas fritas o patatas y salsa de pimiento o Salsa).

Por último una cafetería con comida riquísima y fácil en la cartera. También hay disponible un menú sin gluten.

Su comida barata, rápida. Un personal amable, pero la comida es barata. Recibes lo que pagas. comida barata a precios baratos. No está mal

On holiday in Northern Ireland. Locals eat at this cafe, that's why we tried it. We were not let down, no frills, just very good food with a taste of like home cooking.

Not many places open on New Years Day at lunchtime including our first choice Cafe Brazilia but wandering further up Main St we saw Cafe King was open serving mini frys from £3.50 with a hot drink. We were seated straight away & there was quite an extensive menu. The surroundings were very backstreet cafe & it was cool inside so I kept my coat on for a while however the waitress took our order patiently & brought over mugs with coffees & a full pot (all be it instant) & milk too which kept us warm & busy til the food came. It was spot on when it did & with beans ontop only £5.40 each. It was very satisfying & tasty. We will be back.

I called in here last Saturday morning and asked for 3 sausage baps to take away. Have to say they were excellent and done the job! Four sausages in each bap! Waitress friendly and cook im the kitchen a happy chappy. Would recommend and definately go back!

Firstly this is in Bangor Northern Ireland, not Bangor Wales. The good things about the Cafe King is that the food is lovely at reasonable prices. They have a take away service too. The food is chip shop style but they also do frys, roasts, lasagne, sandwiches etc. Good veggie range too. Decor is a bit hit and miss; mismatched canvases and chairs that look nice but uncomfortable. However what really let us done was the lady who served us; didn't crack so much as a smile, barely acknowledges us and thumped everything down on the table. The girl who took our payment was equally unhappy. Good food spoiled by unhappy people working there.
