A fantastic espresso. One of the best I’ve had in Scotland. Great selection of cakes - I had the cinnamon roll which was very good. A very cool cafe with a great variety of seating options and newspapers/books to read. Staff were friendly and obviously passionate about their cafe. Would highly recommend.

Had an amazing lunch at Cafe Fika. It’s a lovely wee place with a very tasty menu with plenty for vegetarians and vegans. I had the bagel with cream cheese and tomato and basil. It was lovely and the raspberry side salad was delicious too. I had a chai latte to drink which was also excellent We will be back very soon

We visited the Fika cafe recently while on holiday in the area. We initially received a warm welcome. We ordered two cappuccino coffees and a scone. The coffees were very nice and well presented. Unfortunately our experience went down hill from there. There were two seats at the window which we went to sit at. We were advised that these seats were reserved for 2 pm. This was about 1.40 pm so we went to other seats in case the people came in early. The cafe is very small and there is not a lot of space. We ended up taking two seats next to the till area which was raised above the floor area below. Two apparently regular customers were sat in the corner. The proprietor / employee had an ongoing conversation over our head with these customers to our total exclusion. This conduct totally undermined the initial friendly welcome and made us feel awkward and keen to leave. We would not recommend this cafe as a result and would not visit again.

So if you're going to open a cafe I think the first thing you would do is think " What would I think would be the ideal cafe?". You might think of keeping food affordable.always having beautiful vegan and gluten free options without acting like you're a saint or a genius for doing so.Maybe you would lose some potential profit here and there by using tasty high quality often locally produced organic ingredients. You might put the same effort and standard into the coffee choice too. You'd probably like to give decent portions knowing from experience that skimpiness can make even the mightiest cake leave a bad taste in your mouth. If you're not an ars*h** you'd most likely want the place to be inclusive and tolerant. Usually folk start out idealistic but compromise their initial idea for one reason or other. Cafe Fika is the embodiment of these ideals.Im a regular and I can't praise it enough

Unfortunately can’t comment on anything other than the very rude “welcome” we received on entering the cafe. In fact we were asked to leave as we had our baby with us, a rule they have apparently always enforced and when we asked why that was we were told there doesn’t have to be a reason. Certainly won’t return even without our baby and wouldn’t recommend this strange little place.

Came here today for a wee spot of lunch with a friend. It was excellent. We both opted for soup. Spicy tomato & lentil. Well tasty. The star however was the tea. Best brew in Forres. A very friendly & welcoming cafe which celebrates being different but welcoming. Highly recommend.

Went in on Thursday desperate for the toilet, asked nicely if I could I was informed customers only I explained I have medical issues to be informed “ go to the pub across the road “ this was very embarrassing and upsetting as I am registered disabled, I’d have understood if they were busy however only one elderly lady having a coffee or tea, i thought this was a complete lack of common courtesy had the local toilets not been closed down I’d never have went in just for the loo and I found it strange she would see it acceptable to send me elsewhere when she wasn’t prepared to let me use the toilet there

I don’t often visit Forres but I cycled from Elgin and fancied a cup of tea before I set off back. I am not vegetarian but I am not averse to trying something different. I had a cup of tea and a slice of apple cake. The tea is served in a large mug and is leaf tea, it tasted really good and better than your average. The Apple cake was moist and full of flavour. The surroundings are very pleasant and relaxing, I will definitely come back. It was £4.90 for the tea and cake which I think is good value for money especially for the quality of the product.

We called in for a coffee. This is a stylish looking Scandinavian inspired cafe. We asked for a latte and an expresso. We were told that they only did filter coffee, (like the Danish have apparently) so that's what we had. The owner put on a fresh pot and we were offered a free refill. We were asked if we wanted anything to eat, but to be honest I could only see a rather sad scone and some dry slices of bread, so declined. (I checked the menu and there seems only to be one choice of meal per day. Very strange).

Stopped by Cafe Fika in Forres on way back to Inverness airport following a trip to catch up with family in the area. Such tasty scones with jam and extremely good coffee, just the pick up we needed. Unfortunately I dropped my bracelet in the cafe but only realised when I reached the airport which was found thank you so much for your honesty it was of much sentimental value to me. Thanks will definitely be back to thank you personally.

Nipped in here for lunch. It is always busy, but today only had one person in. Nit loads of space if you are in a wheelchair, but is accessible. Comfy chairs, clean and bright interior. The lady was lovely and friendly. Food choices seem to be a little limited. The only thing available, apart from scones (which looked very yummy) was cheese open sandwiches. They were sat on the counter (surprised they weren't refrigerated) with cling film over the top. They looked very tasty, but cheese on bread isn't my thing. No other sandwiches were available. The lady said that the choice changed each day. Understandable I guess for such a small cafe, to prevent wastage.Bought a sourdough loaf and went home to make a sandwich. The bread was fantastic. However, at £2.50 for only half a small loaf, it is incredibly pricy, and only got 6 thin slices out of it. I would certainly return to have lunch here, were there something other than cheese on offer.

Off the High Street you have to search out this cafe, but it's worth the find. Nicely decorated with a small number of tables and large windows overlooking the street.Coffee and cake are the predominant offerings, but also one savoury option, depending what day it is that can be soup, quiche or a sandwich. The menu is limited but then everything is freshly made on the premises and are mainly organic. Currently open Mon - Frid and every 1st Saturday of the month. Very relaxed especially with the free refills of coffee

A charming small cafe in Forres where you can relax and have a "Fika" (Swedish verb and noun pronounced "fee-ka" that basically implies "drinking coffee", usually accompanied by something sweet). The selection of food is small but it is all produced on the premises daily. The coffee is wonderful and will be filled up discreetly when your cup is empty. You won't find Lattes or Cappucinos or Frappercaramelos or any nonsense, just proper quality coffee some lovely Swedish cakes. Depending you the day you go you will find freshly made quiche, open sandwiches or soup, and if you get your timing right, you'll arrive on the cinnamon bun day :-)Highly recommended, but please don't tell everyone, I still want to be able to get a seat ;-)
