Cafe da Vinci in East Ayrshire

It's a busy place. For a couple, it might be too noisy. You feel you need to shout to talk to each other. Might be a good place to have a gathering . Staff are friendly and the food is decent. Cocktails were not so appealing but okay. Reasonable choices of food and drinks. You have to pay extra if you want gluten free.

The special board is fantastic but you need to be quick it's gone fast, inexpensive fantastic food.

Good service, good and drinks. Was a little draughty but clearly a placed loved by many as there was a frequent turnover during our afternoon. We were a large party of 24 and the staff managed this brilliantly.

Works all expenses Christmas lunch for about 30, so the staff had a shift ahead of them. However, they did the restaurant proud. Drinks were flowing quickly, cocktails included! Food was served in a timely manner & a good explanation given for what was all with the chosen meal when asked. Really was a nice place. I will visit with the family for sure.

Not been here in years, much better than I remember. Food and service were good, not brilliant. I was not shown to my table it was just pointed out to me. Give the cheesecake a miss, it was like a child had made it, badly. Both texture and flavor were not good. I would have said something but no one asked what my food was like. Prices for the food was reasonable but a large wine, 250ml, was nearly £10, seems a little high in price. Nice atmosphere. I might give it another try.

Good food and reasonably efficient service. A bit tight space wise and could do with fixing gents toilet door before somebody gets embarrassed.

A group of 14 of us for dinner, excellent service.

Felt very rushed as they say you can only stay like 1.5 hours when booking. The service took a bit of time as they are very busy. The food was okay, I order a dish with king prawns and got 3 little shrimp on the plate was a bit confused what they call a king prawn. Although they did bring water for the table where most places don't I loved that personally.

Easily the best restaurant in Kilmarnock. Food, restaurant and staff are all superb.

We eat here regularly but this week have been twice. Really great. The sea bream and clams were to die for. Always great service as well!

Loved this place. Visiting family and googled… no wonder this is ranked No1. Set menu had lots of choice but ate from standard menu. Pasta was delicious…. Service was first class. Prosecco great price! Loved it!

Looking for a quick lunch? Don't go here, the food is too good to rush. Smoked haddock in a leek and cream sauce mmmm. The puddings don't help either. Eton mess and chocolate cake, the only complaint was we could have had another helping, but that would be greed not need. On my list for another visit. x

5/5...visit for Father's day...food from starters to main meals was excellent, quality was very good, service was prompt and attentive even topping up our wine when required, restaurant was full which helped create a fantastic atmosphere. Great Value.. Well Worth a visit.

First time visit. Obviously very popular with regular guests. Sunday late afternoon, all tables full or reserved. Couple of large family tables. Cuisine was fine, everything freshly made to order. House wine served in ceramic jugs. Friendly, relaxed atmosphere.

My best friend and her husband brought us here while we were visiting from the US. I wish I had such a lovely restaurant back home. The food here was delicious, the service wonderful, and the atmosphere was charming and festive. I can't wait to come back the next time I'm visiting Scotland.

Everything was delicious, ready on time and the staff were lovely. I was a little unsure if I was to wait in the lobby or come into the restaurant to collect and pay at the till.

Some of the best Italian food in Ayrshire. Great service and a nice location, only a short walk from the train station.

You will never be disappointed at Cafe Da Vinci. Have visited on a few occasions. Very consistent good food and service and great value too compared to some Italian restaurants.

One word "WOW" Had the best pizza I have ever tasted, even better than what we've had in Italy

Three of us, my wife,my sister and me had a really excellent lunch last Thursday. The menu is way better than average Italian restaurants,look and see. The atmosphere was relaxed and happy as were the terrific staff. The food was impressive. Superb value for money. The only downside is that I don't live near Kilmarnock or I'd be back already.

Beautiful Italian cuisine at the heart of Kilmarnock.

First time with a group of ladies and food was fantastic. It was a very warm night but we had a great time and stayed for 2.5 hours.

Love this place. It’s got heaps of character and is a little gem in Kilmarnock. Staff are so friendly, great with children, menu is good and the specials are always nice. They can’t do enough for you and always go over and above. We love our family Christmas dinner here as well.

An excellent authentic Italian restaurant experience to be had at Cafe Da Vinci. It is always very busy with customers which is obviously a good sign and you are never left wanting by the quality of their food. Tuesdays and Thursdays are always worth a visit for the £15 for two pizza or pasta dishes deal. Would highly recommend a visit if you like Italian food.

Food is okay, certainly the best Italian food in Killie, but not as good as it once was. Staff are fab though.

Food was fantastic, and the waitresses we're very good, it just does nothing for my waistline.

Delicious, wholesome food and excellent service. We walked in without knowing they recommend a reservation, and were able to squeeze us in for an hour window which was enough for starters, main and drinks; we left full and happy!

Visited the restaurant for the fist time in two years on a busy Saturday night. We were there with friends from oit of town who left at the end of the evening singing the praises of the mesl we enjoyed. Attentive service throughout the time there despite the busyness. The food was excellent, especially liked the Gamberoni New Orleans but none of us could fault any of the dishes we had. Good quality, and well presented and also piping hot ( as I can't abide luke warm food this was a big plus). The Chef certainly knows his stuff. Next night out.....I know where I will be going

Nice place, Nice food and service the street outside is a bit scruffy, but thats Kilmarnock and Loudoun's fault for not finishing off the Ingram center Building and allowing the monstrosity of scaffolding to in strand street. Its been at least 5 years now, If it was owned privately, they'd be all over the owner to get it knocked down.
