Cafe Chico in Bolton

Lovely little place, tasty food, it was spot on. Definitely recommend. We tried Cafe Chico for the first time last week, and I was quite impressed overall. To caveat everything, we came at the time they were having an inspection from evnvironmental health, who were taking some of the workplace in the back, and so the subs were not available. (The did get a 5 star rating so all is good). We also got there after the time for breakfast was over (breakfast finishes at 11.45 I believe). The lady also told us they sourced all their meat from HMC certified suppliers. We ordered multiple different items, and really enjoyed nearly everything. The jacket potato with tuna mayo was lovely, soft potato centre, creamy tuna mayo, and lovely coleslaw, the skin was also lovely and crispy. The american special, which is pancakes with turkey rashers, scrambled egg and maple syrup was absolutely amazing. I would definitely recommend this (if you like something a bit sweet and savoury) I dont like salmon or avocado, but my sister likes both and she really enjoyed the sourdough toast with both of these on. We ordered a chicken and cheese toastie, and although slightly limp, the taste was amazing. The chicken inside was to die for. Just would have preferred it a bit crispier. The pasta we ordered with the kids meal was a bit of a letdown, just tasted like boiled pasta with some pasta sauce on top. Pasta was a bit chewy also. My nephew didn't eat it, but i expect he wouldnt have eaten it anyway, as he was having a bit of a meltdown at the time. Food does take quite long to come, but i think this shows how fresh everything is, and they want everything to be hot so the whole group can eat together. The eating area is also relatively small, but the decor is actually quite nice, with a good ambiance. Price was very acceptable, and it was over all a very good experience. The owner also made a point to come and speak to the guests, showing a lot of passion for his food and business, which was a nice touch. Definitely will be coming back, as i expect the subs and breakfast will be gorgeous!

Lovely place with lovely food. Staff is very kind, atmosphere is very peacefull and relaxing. Had a Full English Breakfast with chicken sausages and lamb rashes and it was amazing. Definitely recommend it

Very friendly service. Have a nymber of GLUTEN FREE options, and only use the best ingredients. The owner is very happy for feedback and wants to be even more understanding and accommodating for gluten free diets. Chose gluten free French toast with Nutella! Great prices too, makes you want to come back!

We came to this popular spot at a quiet time and had a wonderful experience. Staff were lovely and food was great too. I love the decor and the candles, created such a nice atmosphere. I highly recommended the desi breakfast and chai, we will definitely be coming back again!

ever since the first day i tried this restaurant i have been coming back at least once a week. The staff are so kind and welcoming, continuously come and check if there everything’s okay regardless if you are past breakfast hour they will still whip up something for you which i honestly appreciate 10/10 service, food is immaculate i can inhale the full english any hour of the day. i can not recommend this place enough

Fantastic quality, gluten free french toast didn't taste gluten free at all! Best in Bolton by far. The lamb "Macon" on the American special was also very very tasty. Farooq was lovely to talked to, sat down, got to know us and was interested in how we found our meal. The mocha was also very good and complimentary wafers were nice. Definitely returning and recommending to family!

100% is it the best cafe in bolton and the family staff that run this place are very welcoming and warm in character. Beautiful decor and beautiful food choices you'll never go hungry here :) X

Brilliant place, amazing coffee and above all lovely staff. They welcomed us when they were closed as we needed a coffee for a long journey ahead. Had a girly brunch date! 1000% be back, amazing customer service. I had Desi omelette and cardamom coffee. Was able to cater to my fussy needs and let me even go off menu!! Delicious food, quick service and cute atmosphere too. Thanks Cafe Chico 🥰

Went to cafe chico with the family and I have to say service was outstanding The owners are really nice and friendly The food was nice too however I do think the spud could have been abit more softer The owner even gave a couple of brownies to my kids on the house which was really appreciated thanks

Really friendly and honest staff, desi breakfast, eggs Benedict and coffees were great 👍 The staff even followed us down the main road after we left to tell us they accidentally overcharged us and then gave us back the excess

Cafe Chico is a cozy spot with some of the best spuds around - crispy on the outside, soft inside, and full of flavour. The presentation is always on point, making each dish as beautiful as it is delicious. A great place to relax and enjoy tasty food!

We came here on the way to the hospital and it was the most fantastic experience. The owner and family could not have been nicer, genuinely lovely people who really cared about all their customers experiences. We had a baby and a 3 year old with us and they provided colouring and a high chair. Our daughters loved their visit. We all ate and the food was incredible, we were made two spiced teas and amazing smoothies. We will absolutely visit again when we are in the area. Thank you so much for such a fantastic experience.

Amazing service and good size portion, we had stir fry, pancake, chicken sub and special spud with tuna and beans. Everything was on the point. We even got free treat with pineapple juice and berries smoothie. Ahh and I forgot to add mum special coffee and it tasted amazing.

Lovely little Cafe in bolton very friendly team, asethics are beautiful. Food and coffee is very high standard everything is fresh daily. The Spanish caramel iced latte I had was sooooo gooood definitely will be visiting again.

A lovely little cafe in Bolton. A warm, cosy atmosphere with a cute decor. I visited recently with a friend and my 2 year old. Food was good and decent sized portions. They didn't have chips on the menu, but the owner was nice enough to get a handful fried for my little boy. We were a little let down by the Mocchachino (think I've spelt that wrong) but that may have been a misunderstanding on our part, expecting it to be more like a mocha. There were other food items flying out to other customers which made us say we're definitely visiting again to try them out. The owner is friendly, welcoming and goes over and beyond to make sure customers are satisfied with their food. Service gets 5* for sure. He even made sure there were some crayons and a colouring book to keep my little boy occupied. Only downside is the seating, which could be a little more comfortable. It's not made for people on the larger/chunkier side 😅😅😅 All in all a great experience at this lovely little cafe 💗 Unfortunately didn't manage to take any pictures 😞

Had the vegan breakfast twice, with massala tea and oat milk. Best vegan breakfast I've had in a long time. And the massala tea in so good. Also tried the vegan salmon with crushed avocado which was very nice. 😋

What a cosy little place! Absolutely loved the food and the service was impeccable. The lady serving got the heater on for me and got me a drink straightaway. Nothing was too much trouble. Never knew this existed within a throw away. I will definitely be back.

Missing cafe chicos so thought I’d write a review! I’ve been about 4 times now so I can confidently say the service and food stays consistent here! My husband and I always get the half English breakfast which is the perfect fusion of desi and English. The items always taste of high quality and well cooked. We also get their French toast, sooo soft and delicious, recommend every flavour!! The price is very affordable for what you get given so bonus The service is always 10/10 the owner and his employees always make an effort to talk and create a welcoming atmosphere. During the cold days he even gave a small heater near us so we don’t get cold. Cute aesthetics and always clean. I wish it was close by, perfect place to sit n catch up with friends or go to unwind and get some work done. Will be going soon when I get the chance!

Nice cosy, friendly place. The deco is well thought out with a few 70s/80s hardware. The staff are very polite, friendly and helpful. The menu has offerings for all diets including vegetarian and vegan. I would definitely visit this place again. The food was cooked perfectly and the service was great too.

Five stars! This cafe is a true gem. The full English breakfast is amazing, especially the chicken sausage and lamb macon. They're some of the best I've ever had. But it doesn't stop there, their poached eggs on toast with avocado and salmon is simply the best in town, hands down. Beyond the delicious food, the owner is incredibly friendly and has a wonderful worldview that makes the atmosphere incredibly welcoming and relaxing. The heartfelt decorations are a lovely touch that truly brighten up your day.

Knocked on the door after closing time and asked for a quick coffee. The owner asked if it's okay if we leave at the same time as him... 1,5hr later he's still there and not even mentioned about leaving, instead offered us the best cheesecake I've ever had. 6 stars service, coffee and cheesecake.

Love quaint Cafe in Bolton. Yes Bolton! 😊 Visit to mums and I fancied a brekky. Would definitely recommend. Apart from my egg being cold which they addressed everything was perfect. The kids enjoyed their sweet treat too and empty plates showed how much they enjoyed it MashaAllah. Would definitely visit again. I had the half English, whilst the little one had French toast with everything on the side and pancakes with nuttella. Alhamdulilah ❤️

Me and boyfriend went for breakfast today with some friends and had the most fab time. Boyfriend insisted that it was the best avocado toast he has ever had! This place really brightens up the street and can't wait to go for more breakfast and brunches there!

Went to the cafe this weekend with a group of around 15-20. The staff were really accommodating and gave us an amazing experience. Catered to all of us and the food was excellent. Amazing customer service, the staff were very nice, helpful and pleasant. Would 100% recommend!

Fantastic service, Faruk and the rest of the staff were very nice and welcoming. I came with my wife and 10 Month old son and they were very accommodating for children. He was given a baby seat and toys to play with. Very happy with the service and the food. The owner was dealing with a rude customer when I walked in and he dealt with it in a very respectful and nice manner. Would recommend this place to anyone. Nice cosy little cafe.

Local family run cafe, we have been here a few times for food and coffee cannot fault, the food is gorgeous. The owner and his daughter cannot do enough for you, nothing is too much trouble, really friendly. I would recommend without hesitation.

I've been twice at Cafe Chicos. I experienced outstanding customer services followed by perfectly cooked food, which was very presentable and delicious with a desi touch. The cafe is cute and has a vintage feel with distinctive decor surroundings. The staff are very warm and welcoming,always at your service smiling. I will definitely recommend Cafe Chico for your weekend brunches to weekdays lunches.

What a fantastic new halal place. The service is second to none. Absolutely friendly from the initial phone call through to getting your food. The owners and staff were absolutely brilliant. I ordered takeout and they even brought my order to my car. The food was fantastic and can tell it was cooked to perfection without the grease you would expect from a full cooked breakfast. Highly recommended.

We called for coffee and a very late lunch - fabulous greeting. Introduced to the family, drank great coffee and cheered on our way by the lovely owner. He was so encouraging of our Lands End to John O’Groats cycle ride he added complimentary brownies ( delicious!) to speed us on our way!

Absolute gem of a place. We normally travel into Manchester for a decent halal brunch, but not anymore! This place is amazing the menu options are vast, you can be healthy or opt not to be. The portions are huge and a great value for money. Be prepared to unbutton that top button on your pants or alternatively, wear a pair that have an elastic waistband! The staff are friendly and helpful. What are you waiting for?
