Cafe Ceardach in Highland

On a very wet and very windy day we decided to go for lunch at our favourite cafe, The Cafe Ceardach. This community owned gem of a place is always warm and welcoming. Fabulous food, Fabulous place and most of all, a Fabulous Team of girls who make this place the joy it is.

Chances upon this place as the nearby golf club cafe was closed. Glad we did. Decent range of sandwiches etc and prepared fresh. Good food and a really friendly atmosphere plus a good little second hand book exchange.

This lovely gem of a cafe is top of our list to visit!! Lovely welcome even with our two dogs who got spoilt with sausages 😂 lovely varied menu we had the yummy pork pie with a lovely salad The staff are very pleasant and helpful, lovely gifts to brows. All in all a very relaxed atmosphere. Also the cake's are beautiful and obviously home made. Well done to the staff and chef lochcarron should be proud . We'll definitely be back!! 👍👍

Excellent lunch at the café today. Sat outside on the deck in glorious weather. We had hot smoked salmon and prawns with oatcakes, and homemade porkpie with chutney and salad.

Although we turned up 5 minutes before closing absolutely soaked too the skin !, nothing was too much trouble for the ladies. With a hot coffee we had the most amazing cheesecakes , the stop was worth it just for them. Sorry too the ladies for the rain puddles on the floor

Although we were too late for lunch we were made to feel welcome and had soup which was really good. Also coffee and cake - again excellent. Large servings and served thoughtfully. Great people and had a good chat! Will definately come back when going from Skye to Inverness.

Excellent food, fantastic views, great atmosphere and superb service. What more do you need. Plenty room, fast service and smiles all around.

This is a lovely cafe on a beautiful but remote route out west, well sign-posted from the main road. Inside there's plenty of space and it's a really nicely decorated and laid out, with a friendly welcome. The views across the road to the hills are also stunning. We had a jacket potato and the cheese/chilli loaded chips, and both enjoyed our respective meals. I was delighted to find the jacket in particular was well cooked and beautifully fluffy inside (I hate when they're hard, still), with a very tasty side salad. There's a decent selection choice-wise on the menu and with the specials board, and the cakes looked good too although sadly we didn't have any space this time. The only thing to note is that it does close at 2.30pm, so you need to arrive within the standard 'lunch' time. It was great to find something open in the winter though, which can often be tricky when you're local(ish) and it's out of season. We'd definitely stop here again when we're passing.

Can't recommend this cafe highly enough!!! .Had the best Christmas lunch here, Vegetables we're fresh and cooked to perfection and plenty of it . Staff were attentive and friendly. I have visited previously for coffee and cake which they have a lovely collection of , everything arrives at your table with the upmost attention to detail . I congratulate the cook and her staff for their first class service . I will return .

We visited this fabulous cafe for lunch twice whilst holidaying in Lochcarron. It was really lovely. The food was delicious and there was a great selection too with gluten free and dairy free options available. The staff were really friendly and made us feel very welcome. A great place to eat. Pouring with rain and car in tne local garage I walked here soaked to the bone and the ladies opened up, early for me and gave me a coffee. Simply lovely place gorgeous cappuccino and excellent friendly service.x thank you

First time here, had lunch with my husband and daughter. Highly recommend, fantastic service from start to finish. Food was lovely with great choices, lovely coffees and outstanding cakes to choose from. Don’t drive past this wee treasure of a cafe. Thanks to you all for great food and service.

Fabulous cafe with a great selection of cakes. The portions are very generous. The staff were very friendly. Couldn’t fault the food or the service. Would definitely recommend stopping here.

Called into the Ceardach cafe on way back to our holiday home after the morning on Applecross, a superb cafe, with great friendly staff, my wife had a freshly cooked scone with the works, jam (home made) cream etc, I had the beautiful Chocolate cake,...

Stopped off for coffee and cake, kids loved the cake which was very well presented and tasted as good as it looked. Attached to a lovely pottery shop and weavers shop. Worth a visit and a walk around. Plenty of parking and outdoor seating.

Quite disappointed at the west coast who encourage visitors and then close the cafes at 3pm on a Saturday and dont open on sunday. Arrived here a 2pm and told very abruptly CLOSED. Asked about take away ... NO... So again west coast get your...

We had the warmest welcome by the lovely team. We were allowed to bring our dog too which made everything easier. (Our dog instantly relaxed which is very high praise.) The food was perfect and the scenery wasn’t bad either. Only wish it was closer...

Stumbled across this place when travelling from Gairloch to Skye and were so glad we did. A real find, great coffee, delicious food and really lovely staff. The whole cafe had a great feel to the place. Would definitely recommend stopping in for anyone passing.

Stopped of here for lunch today. Lovely fresh sandwiches. Beautiful artwork and gifts on display as well. Definitely worth a visit beside Loch Carron. Very clean and well organised in these vivid times.

Nice wee cafe, had a nice filling lunch. Also offers local art and crafts/pottery for sale. Partner had a nice sandwich with haggis and white pudding.Very reasonable prices.

A lovely little place hidden from the main road. A community run cafe with home cooked food and fantastic service. The pottery is beautiful and used on their tables too. Highly recommend. Accept card payment 😊
