Best hot chocolate I’ve ever had! Food was good too. We had the Cullen skink and a panini. View is nice and the inside is done up very cute.

Lovely cafe, plenty of seating and friendly service. They allow dogs, which is great. The food was really good. The Tomato and Pesto soup was actually delicious. It also looked like they provided a takeaway service. Highly recommended.

Had a great breakfast there. Everything in the UK opens so late, and closes early compared to the US. We appreciated them being open at 8am…which is still late to us, but appreciated!!!

Had a great cozy breakfast here! Had the Baguette Sandwich and a Americano coffee and husband had Bacon & Eggs with Toast and a Americano. The lovely lady at the front had a good giggle explaining to me what brown sauce is (tastes like steak sauce for us Americans!) Everything was piping hot and you can’t beat the view! Small and cozy … just like I like it!

Generous cuisine in this small establishment on the port of Kennacraig. The place is clean and the staff is pleasant.

Cosy place, not very big. It did take a while for us to be acknowledge by staff and our table wasn't clean. The food was well cooked and well presented. Perhaps a little overpriced £3 for a ginger beer. The coffee was fine.

Very busy which we always take as a good sign. Nice hot food. I went for the sweet chilli chicken hot wrap & it was lovely.

Real gem of a place, we visited multiple times whilst staying in the local area, greeted with friendly service and made to feel welcome, dog friendly too which was a bonus for us travelling with our dog. Food and service was fantastic, we had breakfast here as well as coffee and cakes, highly recommend to anyone looking at visiting. Very clean and great views out too. Thank you for having us.

Cozy, charming cafe on the water. Extensive menu, many different dishes, including vegetarian and vegan. Very tasty food and friendly service (despite the crowds). It's nice that dogs are also welcome.

Lovely place with views over the harbour, I had the best fish pie ever, it had big chunks of fish including king prawns, it was served with garlic bread. My husband had fish and chips, very much enjoyed. The staff were lovely. We would recommend a visit.

Love this place! I was there a Sunday and it was crazy busy but a very nice vibe and a welcoming atmosphere. Coffee was absolutely delish. Scallops were out so I had fish and chips deluxe. Loved it! It was nice and crisp. My partner ate a lasagna that also was very much appreciated. This place is popular and I'd eat here any day of the week. Price was smack on £30 and for a sit down dinner that's a very good value. I will try to go back ASAP as I find the locality good. Parking outside in the harbour area, nice vibe and a chance for a stroll along the harbour. The community toilets are not far away either which is a bonus. I would recommend families to come here since they have nice sized tables and kid friendly pizzas etc. Have a look at the menus which are extensive offering something for everyone.

Really charming cafe on the harbour - seemed to be full of local and friendly clientele, all welcoming and chatty. Food was good, coffee was great. Exactly what we needed on a cold, wet morning!

What a gem of a wee cafe, the service was excellent and the staff so so friendly … they have an extensive menu and the 4 in our party all chose something different with all of us saying how good it was … we will definitely be back !! 👏👏👏

Back again within a week as other restaurants in the area shut on a Tuesday. Worth the queue and wait. Had seafood pizza this time which had large, fresh prawns, lots of mussels and cuttlefish. Ordered side salad and a Cullen skink to go with, and ended with a honey almond cake. The cake was delicious, light. Lovely cafe, quaint by the harbour. Ordered Cullen skink as recommended by many reviews, delicious and loads of haddock and potatoes in the soup with toasted bread. Really popular and busy.

Had the salt and chilli chicken loaded fries and they were delicious. Nicely priced as well

This place was a little gem of a cafe. We were welcomed by the staff every time we walked in. Menu is varied I enjoyed their panini's and wraps, my partner had their smoked haddock and a bacon burger on our second visit. Their burgers rival any competition that specialises in burgers and as this isn't their primary focus it's bloody impressive. From service to food, cleanliness to menu options including gluten free and vegan options they have out done themselves. We tried the other eateries on the street and they didn't hold a candle to this wonderful team. The atmosphere is friendly, clearly favoured by locals, bikers passing through and holiday makers like us. Strongly recommend for any meal, we were just disappointed we couldn't wake up early enough for breakfast which is served until 11:30am. Well done to the team.

Called in for Brunch on a busy Tuesday morning. Serving staff were friendly and helpful. Excellent gluten free choices on the menu. Food was served quickly and was delicious.

This is a cosy, small and comfortable cafe with a wide range of menu items, including quite a few gluten free ones. The staff are helpful and friendly, and the atmosphere is very welcoming. We enjoyed our breakfast here and will be returning next time we are in Tarbert.

Stopped off for an early dinner and waitress was absolutely lovely and food was delicious. Great portions, very tasty and very reasonable. Can highly recommend.

Beware their cream for scones comes out of a spray can and turns to liquid pretty quickly! The scone we had at 9am was not made that day.

A lovely cafe with a friendly welcome. I called in after catching the ferry over from Portavaidie. The bacon and scrambled eggs were delicious. The scrambled eggs were light, fluffy, buttery and awesome. The cakes looked fantastic too so I had a takeaway tiffin bar for my afternoon snack.

It might be raining outside or windy enough to blow the kilt round yer luggoles, but inside, with its steamed up windies, is a warm welcome and one of the best fish pies EVER! And my wife is loving the Mixed Bean Enchilada.

Arrived near end of breakfast rush and place was busy for dine in and take out. Happily shared a table with another couple, table service was nice touch considering the queue for take out. Loads of choice and came quickly. Really tasty well cooked breakfast and delicious coffee. Ended up taking some fabby fresh cakes away for later too. 😋

Amazing! Staff so warm and friendly great seaside theme going on, very tastefully decorated then the food.. oh my days! My lass had the fish pie and said it was the best she's ever had, big chunks of fish- haddock n salmon and huge king prawns, cheesy cheesy mash and generous sized garlic bread, my fish n chips were cooked perfectly lovely fresh batter an a nice fresh fish! Very tasty! Would recommend 💯 % And the toilets were spotlessly clean as well!

Holidaying in the area and visited Tarbert on foot today. Menu looked appealing and café was very busy inside, but there were a couple of tables outside and the weather was fine. We ordered a Smokey Joe pizza, a couple of drinks and a cake. Despite the café being busy, the wait wasn't very long. Waitress delivered with a smile and exchanged quips with respect to how busy it was inside and we were best off outside! Pizza was superb - good size to share and very tasty. Good to support independent local business / jobs and give credit where it's due. Highly recommend.

Been going/using this place for over a decade now since it first started out, the food and service//selection is lovely.

We thought this was the best choice in town. Well run with good food. The shakes and ice cream were especially good.

Good excellent, especially the sea food, and very reasonably priced. Service seems slow but the food is cooked fresh, or certainly appears to be. Staff are friendly and polite. Will definitely be going there next time we are passing through.

We called in here as we visited Tarbert in our motorhome. I ordered two Scottish breakfasts to go and the food was great quality and very tasty! The staff were very friendly and while waiting I noticed the nice relaxed atmosphere (sign saying well behaved dogs welcome). I’d definitely recommend. In fact when we return from Islay and Jura we will probably pop back in on our way to Oban. 😊

Lovely coffee and a nice haggis, goats cheese and red onion panini. Friendly staff. I've also eaten a proper meal here in the past, and it was also excellent.

We were cycling and outside of the shop there was nowhere to park our bikes so we parked them carefully against what looked like a doorway that was not used. We went into cafe and ordered and when I looked out this older guy was throwing our bikes around! I stormed out and remonstrated with him. A few choice words were exchanged each way. We had to end up parking the bikes out of view against a lamp post about 100feet away! I will not be back in this cafe, nor will any of my cycling friends. The elderly guys name was Duncan and was related to people in the cafe!. Very very poor show! Spending decent money in a cafe and to leave fuming about way this old guy spoke to us!
