Set just off the busy high street in Cleethorpes sits Cafe Baraka, Omar is the life and soul of the high street, we tried every dish he had to offer and it just got better and better, the Jerk Chicken with Jollof rice is the best we’ve tasted and the curried goat was delightful. A fantastic place with tonnes of character, it is a must visit!

A surprising find close to Cleethorpes Market Place. Omar, the proprietor, was very warm and welcoming, and went out of his way to ensure we had a great experience. He was proactive about asking how he could tailor our orders to best suit us. As a result, the food was excellent: just enough spice to add a welcome kick without overpowering all the other flavours.

Amazing food and Omar makes the experience authentic and welcoming! The curried goat and the jerk chicken with chips and cheese are perfect and have very generous portion sizes😍

Absolutely love Omar! What a top guy. Come in here often for food after going out and he always prepares it fresh whilst entertaining us at the same time! His jerk chicken box is to die for,and also huge portions! I always have enough for the next day. Comes on a bed of rice and cheesy chips and he adds his special sauce to give it a kick.

This place was great. The owner had a great personality and the food was honestly top tier. I’d recommend to anyone visiting Grimsby, I had the chicken, rice, chips and rice and it was the best I’ve ever had. It’s a no brainer to go here.

Caribbean Guy living in the Uk and was down in Cleethorpes for 3 weeks for a job. First week spent trying the food around town after work and the regular options weren’t worth the mention. Then I stumbled across Cafe Baraka and met the owner Omar ! Absolutely the best Afro-Caribbean food I have tasted being here and I even contemplated moving just because 😂! 10/10💯👑. Oumar, the chef, is an amazing person through and through. I have tried everything on the menu now and can say it all tastes incredible. It doesn't need to be spicy either, but the pepper mix he makes goes with everything very nicely.
