Booked at very short notice after being let down by nearby Crowwood Hotel , what an amazing place , table for 8 of us with no pressure to hurry up and leave the table, in fact no time limit even mentioned , food was amazing , staff lovely to serve us , I will definitely be spending more time and money in here from now on !

this is now an Ashoka restaurant and looks like the have spent a lot of money on a doing it up looks really good. However I just had a carry out and had the worst pakora ever 7 small bits really greasy and full of onions for £4.75 they should be embarrassed. In fairness they offered to get me another portion when I phoned but the damage had been done will not be back.

Waited nearly an hour and a half for delivery no apology just do you want it food is normally good but to say this is an o going issue is an understatement .Always an excuse

This place has recently changed hands(management), back to original owners and renamed to cafe asia again. The team here are fabulous. From bar staff to chef snd manager, just lovely We ve visited twice within one week. Such good value £25 for 5 tapas dishes for twa people(£25 total price BTW). You also get papadom,onion and rice/nan bread. What u don t eat they offer to bag up and you can take away.(portion sizes for tapas are very generous) The food is really lovely. At the moment we pay £23 for a takeaway from our local Indian restaurant ,so this is excellent value. Tapas avail 4pm -6.30pm 7 day s a week.Can t beat it.

Nos hicieron sentir muy bienvenidos, el personal era excelente, el restaurante es moderno y tiene una sensación de mercado, pero el menú tiene un precio razonable.Toda la comida era increíble, especialmente la pakora haggis. . . ¡cuando en Roma!Definitivamente regresaría si surgiera la oportunidad.

Great night at friends 50th birthday party. Buffet prepared by restaurant and was briliant. Good location, easy access and plenty of parking.

Cafe Asia is a local restaurant for me to visit and I’ve been here several times, yes it’s changed names a few times but it certainly wouldn’t put me off. It’s a lovey restaurant, nicely decorated and modern, the menu is very varied to suit all tastes whether you like your Indian food spicy or not and the portions are very generous. The waiting staff are all very helpful and good at recommending different meals to suit your tastebuds. Prices are not bad either, all in all it’s a nice place to eat, and I would certainly recommend giving it a visit.

Went for a birthday meal and the food was delicious. The staff were very accomadating and polite, not only that, the manager gave a drink on the house to the birthday girl! Would definitely recommend.

Fui allí con amigos y pensé que la comida era bastante buena. Las bebidas también estaban bien de precio y, en general, pasamos una buena noche. Mientras que iría otra vez, está a kilómetros de distancia del centro de la ciudad de Glasgow y no saldría para volver. Si estás en el área, pruébalo.

Pedimos llevar de este establecimiento. La comida fue terrible. Usé solo la aplicación para comer, ordené comida para cuando llegara a casa después del trabajo. La comida fue entregada una hora antes y ya no era comestible cuando llegué a casa. Cuando llamé para contarles sobre el incidente, fueron bastante inútiles. Finalmente se ofrecieron a enviar comida de reemplazo. Esto también era frío y de muy mala calidad. No volverá a utilizar Cafe Asia nunca más. Un montón de otros establecimientos en Muirhead más dignos de mi efectivo duramente ganado.

Largo tiempo para servir comida porque de órdenes para llevar. El director era simplemente grosero. Que quieren que tome el buffet ya que es más fácil. Mi esposa tenía la carta que tardó años y nos acaben. Sin embargo, la comida era buena, la comida del buffet podría haber sido más cálidos, pero la carta fue excelente. Mejorar la eficiencia y el servicio.

from the minute you are seated to the minute you leave the staff are 100% percent attentive. food is always fresh and very prompt. children are made extremely welcome. we will be back.

Second visit and were delighted with our curries which were both really tasty and delicious. Good staff who made great recommendations. First pint of lager was flat but it was replaced by one from the bar which was much better. Good value for money too.

Era un martes noche en enero, así que estábamos deseando a una cálida curry y charlar. La comida fue fenomenal, pero la habitación estaba fría. Nos preguntamos si una ventana abierta en algún sitio y la camarera respondió la esquina en la que estábamos era siempre fría, ya que estaba al lado de la pared. No había espinacas al curry chef pero la camarera preguntó a hacerme uno mucho. Fue realmente delicioso. La comida era excelente. Volvería de nuevo, pero en un mes más cálido.

Siempre vaya aquí para una comida y nunca falla, personal y una gran relación calidad-precio. Ser reformado recientemente parece fabuloso.

Excellent service, excellent food. Lovely ambience. The chef came to our table and told us what ingredients he had used in the delicious onion relish. Brilliant table service, brilliant bar sevice. They booked a taxi for us which did not turn up. The waitress then asked a colleauge who was not working that night to run us to our hotel!!! Amazing service. 5*

The staff at cafe Asia are very friendly and polite, very relaxed atmosphere and attentive towards customers and also great with children. Food is really nice. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a lovely meal.

Food was good service was shocking will not return was as if the staff just couldn't be bothered place was not busy so no excuse for such poor service. Very disappointed plenty of better places to go and enjoy an indian meal on a Friday night

Our anniversary meal tonight was ruined by the extremely loud swearing men and boys who were in the bar first then dominated the restaurant. My husband and I could not have a conversation with each other they were so loud-and we were at the other side of the restaurant. We asked if they could be told to quieten down, and the waitress said she had-to no avail, We left as soon as we had finished our meal-food was lovely but sorry Cafe asia dont think we will be back.last time food was lovely but service unfriendly.And we had to pay full price although they knew were annoyed-customer service would suggest something off the bill for compensation?Having said that I would have preferred a nice sociable evening.

We've only just received a delivery we ordered through just eat, 2 yes I repeat, 2 hours ago. The restaurant repeatedly lied and said it would arrive shortly. I did ask if the guy was walking or crawling but even if he was he'd have been quicker. The worst of it is the food is abysmal. Not the food we ordered and extremely cold. Never again! And I only put 1 star in as it wouldn't let me leave 0.

Have heard great reviews popped in for a quick drink and nibble did not disappoint staff food service were excellent looking forward to going back for full dinner X

Having visited for a few years now,by the way New Year's Eve party is second to none,I had been raving to friends for ages to visit as the food is amazing and the hospitality excellent.however having gone last week, our first visit since the refurb,which is very nice, we were a bit taken aback this weekend with the totally changed menu. Dishes none of us recognised and if honest a bit intimidating. We were advised that we could still order our usual favourites and we heard other diners being told the same. Didn't hear one person not querying the changes. I am sure that the new dishes are delicious but found it all to be a bit pretentious. Barry and co need to take a step back and realise the most regulars are just that because of the comfort in visiting and what was an excellent menu.In other words if it ain't broken,don't try to fix it.

Just returned from Cafe Asia, for the 100+ time. Whad a great time. Meal fantastic. If you cant find what you want on the menu, just ask. They are only there to help amyone. From first timere to Indian food to expereanced, seasoned eators, like myself. Food and drink are very competitavely priced and decor great. They also have a function room. I highly recomend the New Yeay Party. Brilliant

Eat in here a lot and get takeaways regularly. Staff are always friendly and the food is fab. It's very reasonable and the deals on the pre theatre menu is fab. We also had Christmas Dinner in here and it was brilliant.

I had a great time at Cafe Asia. It was my friends 18th. The buffet was good and the security were extremely helpful in preventing trouble, plus their banter was decent too.

Had a great night on the 12 of December with my colleagues. Great food and entertainment. Harbinder and the team worked really hard and we all had a fab night up dancing. Definitely will be back

Been going to Cafe Asia on and off since it opened and the food us generally excellent. However, on our last few visits the portion sizes (starters and mains) have been disappointing to say the least. For example I had butter king prawns as a starter which were very tasty but £4.95 for 3 prawns, come on guys! Other starters again were tasty but missing in quantity.Same story with mains....was a case of spot the chicken and the lamb. As for the rice portions - we had to order more as there simply wasn't enough for us all.When we mentioned this to the waitress she just agreed with us saying "yes the portions are small aren't they!"Not sure why this is the case as it used to be mega portions!It'll be a while before we are back as there's lots of local alternatives to try.

We have used Cafe Asia for a while now in both takeaway & sit down meals . Great friendly service . When placing a takeaway order if they say 15 mins .. It is ready in 15 mins not 45 as can be at other places .

Consistently great food never had a bad experience and staff are so friendly and welcoming. . . . Eat here quite a lot so glad it only up the road and it's not overly expensive. Would definitely recommend xxx

I decided to visit Cafe Asia as I had heard many recommendations from many of my friends and family. Upon arrival to this establishment me and my wife were seated by a very pleasant young waiter, the weather outside was dull and cold. He had suggested that I should try the karahi and wasn't he right ? the curry was suberb and the decor was modern and fitting. Overall this restaurant was generally a pleasant experience and I would definitely visit again, maybe with the boys the wife was boring.

Collected my telephoned order and was looking forward to a nice meal consisting of veg pakora chicken pakora chicken curry and fried rice. Dished the curries out on plates for my wife and I and put a couple of pieces of each pakora on the side of plate and sat down to start eating When all of a sudden my wife let out a scream and when I asked what was wrong she showed me the chicken pakora box which had the added ingredient of a large plaster that had obviously fell off an employees finger. On returning the pakora complete with plaster I was given an apology and new portion of pakora with wait for it 2 free poppadoms for our distress. Needless to say complete meal ended up in the bin as 1 I lost my appetite and 2 my meal had gone cold. Never again will I cross the threshold of this restaurant

After suffering from very bad stomach pains and hearing of others complain I felt compelled to write a review. The service of bad (even rude), the food isn't good. A lot of money spent for a days of stomach pains for both my wife and I. Bad all round experience.

Felt I had to redress the balance following comments I'd read regarding another event. We booked the large function suite for my daughters 21st birthday party last month. It was at full capacity so large number of young people and family. What a fabulous night! The staff could not have been more courteous, helpful and efficient throughout the evening. Couple glasses broken, which can easily happen, swept up quickly by staff with no complaints. Food supplied for the £100 deposit was excellent ; if we book for another family event, we will definitely order all our buffet there. Returned for a family pre theatre meal last night, which we've done several times now and our experience is as always -excellent food, excellent service. This is a friendly, family run business. I would highly recommend.

Worst Indian take away ive ever had. Avoid at all costs!!!! Tasteless, cold, order missing dishes and staff very rude when phoned to ask for missing order.

I had my 60th birthday here this last weekend. Everything brilliant. Lovely room, food and DJ Well organised and reasonably priced. Thanks guys, I had a great time !!!

We cannot believe that a charity event run by teenagers and supervised by parents to raise funds to help those teenagers to go out to work with people less fortunate than us, was spoiled by management of Cafe Asia . The venue was booked till 12 pm and management decided to close at 10pm breaking agreed terms of hire. There was no trouble & no reason to finish early . My nephew had hired extra security at his own expense to ensure all those attending venue were safe so there was no trouble and the teenagers were enjoying a good night. Two glasses were broken accidentally and because of this £100 deposit was retained !! Do you have no compassion Cafe Asia ? Young folk who care about others & who are willing to go and help them at their own expense , giving up their time & leaving families , have been very disillusioned by your uncaring attitude. This situation can be rectified easily by yourselves and could renew your reputation of all those who attended by refund to charity .

Followed by many of the staff and accused of bringing alcohol into event more than once. Many times I have visited the function room I have felt that the staff are very rude and aggressive towards under 18s- almost felt stalked.

Manager is rude and unhelpful. Did not return my deposit because two glasses got broken. Venue looks good but definetly not worth the hassle you will get from management. Apparently this happens a lot .

Had a fabulous night at a charity event booked here UNTIL the management decided to close it 2 hours early at 10pm. There was no trouble at the venue. The only problem was the management at this venue who ruined our night and kept £100.00 deposit which was for charity! Which they promised we would be refunded!!! Shame on you Cafe Asia, MUIRHEAD. I would not recommend you book the function suites here. Rip off! We will never return. Disappointed.

We booked a suite at Cafe Asia, Muirhead for a charity Event. It was a good night. No trouble until the management closed it at 10pm. We had paid for it until midnight. We had paid for our own security on the door which they didn't seem happy about. The management at Cafe Asia did not refund our deposit of £100.00 which they promised they would which was going to Charity. Our evening was spoilt by the management at Cafe Asia. DO NOT BOOK YOUR VENUE HERE!!!!!!!

Me and my family visit here often, we are always greeted by the friendly staff and they always go out their way to provide the best service. It has a brilliant atmosphere and food is great, this is why we always return. Would defintently recommend a visit if you are in the area.

This place is a hidden gem. Some cracking deals on all week. Excellent food at better than average prices coupled with good banter from the staff and you have a winning combination. Check their website for details of special offers, it really will surprise you

Me and the family went here to try the buffet menu,it was lovely such a large selection of fresh starters then good choice of main.kids under 9 eat free we had to bring food home cause we were so full had a great night the staff are lovely.

Booked the function suite for a recent party, we were shocked to find the carpark and function suite entrance to be covered in broken glass and rubbish everywhere. our guests tried to use the main restaurant entrance but were turned away despite the potential safety issue.The food was ok although very overpriced for what we were given,despite argueing we had pay additional for more food to be givenOverall bar staff were nice but would not use this venue again

Been here a few times and often get a takeaway. However, was very disappointed with our most recent visit. Had hoped for a nice relaxing evening - instead it felt that they couldn't get us out the door quick enough! Ordered poppadums and spiced onions and pakora for starters expecting to have the poppadums while we waited on the pakora. No - they were all served together in about 5 minutes of order being placed. Fish pakora was freshly cooked (though I was a bit concerned about it being properly cooked as it came out that quickly) but the chicken pakora was lukewarm and tough (reheated?). I was still eating the poppadums when the plates for the starters were whipped away. Mains arrived soon after - nothing special. And again, no sooner had we finished mains than than the plates were whipped away (including part eaten naan). At this point we asked for the bill - and the frantic pace slowed down and we were ignored for around 5 minutes. From beginning to end, I estimate that it took 45 minutes to order, eat and pay for a 2 course meal. Food was nothing special, restaurant itself is nice (but where did they get that horrible cutlery?) staff very friendly but I think I'll go elsewhere in future.

Once again the team at cafe Asia have excelled. Great food and service , they really go out of their way to male you feel welcome regardless how busy they are . Still doing the 3.50 lunch which is delicious and great value for money . Be back soon

We ordered a takeaway from this place just after 8 o'clock on a Friday night. After 1.5 hours of waiting we had to call to ask where it was! We got numerous excuses I.e the driver's phone had died; he couldn't find the address on sat nav etc. After 8 phone calls, the delivery eventually arrived at 11:30pm. We expected the order for free after waiting so long, but we were asked to pay. My friend refused, and after the delivery driver left, the manager called and threatened the Police against is! The curry that eventually was delivered was beyond oily and the pakora tasted like it at had been reheated. Terrible, will never be back!!!

Had mushroom poori which came in a gloppy sauce as if from a packet same with the pakora sauce. 2 completely different curries and they tasted and looked exactly the same. Won't be back, really poor food and so much of it so totally wasted going in the bin.

we visited café Asia for a family dinner (there were 14 people) the staff were all very friendly and could have not been more polite, however when we were ordering food, the man taking our order insisted we all had the buffet, however there were 2 vegetarians in the group who could not get anything from the buffet, however the man still insisted we all got the buffet and he would make the vegetarians a mushroom curry.. so we agreed... at the buffet there was a good choice of starters and main course but not a wide range of desserts.. and when the food ran out it did not get re filled until we asked if there was anymore of the food... but overall the service was above average and everyone at café Asia was amazing...

Have been coming to Cafe Asia with my family for a good few years now & never had a bad thing to say. Foods always brilliant & very reasonable. Surroundings are lovely & comfy - you always feel at ease. As for the staff - unbelievably helpful & friendly. Always smiling & chatting away. Nothing's too much to ask & they always suggest new food to try etc. remember their customers faces & always make u feel welcome. Recommend anyone who is thinking of trying it to do so!

Visited for my daughters birthday last night.,Food fantastic as usual never fails to please in all the times we have visited. Staff very attentive and service excellent. My recommendation is lamb rogan josh best ever tasted. Lovely decor and very comfortable in restaurant and bar area.

This restaurant is amazing! The food is very fresh and tasty, I've tried a lot of different curries on offer and I've been impressed with all of them! The staff are very friendly. I've recommended to all my friends!

We held our engagment party in their other restaurant in Muirhead ! Gorgeous restaurant and hall and food was amazing. Unfortunately the lack of communication and organisational skills flawed this reautrant. After agreeing to pay £150 for a buffet of 3x pizza, pakora, chicken chatt, chips, popodoms and spiced onions we were told on the day of our party that £150 wouldn't cover it and no one knew who had agreed this price to us. Even tho it was marked in their diary . When buffet was put out it looked very poor and thankfully we brought a lot of our own cold food for buffet or we would have had a lot of very hungry guests. I was told cafe Asia would arrange a meeting a week before my party to discuss numbers buffet etc after calling numerous times with no luck speaking to anyone that deals with the party organisations the meeting was never held. I has to then telephone one of the managers on their mobile for him to say yeah that's fine for your buffet but was told that a charge would apply for hiring their plates to use for buffet ? So we brought our own paper plates napkins and cutlery to be told that they supply that ! Was shocked but the attitude we received from the daughter of the restaurant that she didn't agree to £150 buffet and the amount we were looking for was between £300+++ she said she'd provide food but wouldn't be refilling any. Was also shouted at across the restaurant once we had paid for buffet and dj "eh I said £200" (we had paid her brother the money ) I was shocked and appalled at this type of customer service and once she realised we had paid the correct amount shrugged her shoulders and said aww u did pay. No apology was ever given. We also saw her making a face at us as we left. Remember theirs a large mirrored wall in restaurant area !!!Party finished at 12 which we were never told either and young girl behind bar was screaming and shouting at all my guests Can You Make YOUR WAY OUTSIDE felt like we were getting flung out of a dancing not a restaurant . Handle was also broken on entrance to hall so made this very difficult to enter leave hall especially for guests that smoked ! Luckily the poor customer service and lack of communication didn't affect our night and we had a great party but proberly due to our own hard work and effort made. The father and son of the business were fantastic very kind and lovely nature with ourselves and all the guests perhaps they could pass this on to the other staff .....

You won't find better Indian cuisine anywhere in Scotland, the friendliest staff and lovely surroundings. Love this place

Food is ok. Overuse of food colourings and poor quality chicken. Always find service hit and miss. Seem to favour regulars and if your not you can be left for ages waiting in drinks etc. disgusting smelly and dark toilets that really need cleaned!

Having been to Café Asia on many occasions I know they only use authentic spices to cook my succulent tender lamb Rojan Josh to perfection. I highly recommend this very fine establishment to everyone who is interested in fine dining

We attended a 40th party last night , and whilst the food was good enough , the service wasn't . There was 200 people packed in like sardines from different parties . The buffet was an unorganised free-for-all . When the buffet opened it was like a stampede of hungry animals . The waiting time in the long queue was 15 mins . The worst thing was the manager's failure to have vomit and broken glass cleared from the toilet when I reported it at 10pm . Despite repeatedly telling the guy it was a H+S risk he chose to ignore the situation and the toilets where in a horrific state by 12.30am closing time . Safe to say I won't be back .

Me and my friend ordered from here, it took a hour and a half to come so by the time it got to us it was cold. My friend found a piece of plastic in her bit of chicken. I don't recommend it.

Visited Cafe Asia as had heard good reviews from friends, we were very impressed. The decor is very nice and the seats are very comfy! Food was delicious, we are big fans of indian cuisine and were not dissapointed. The chicken tikka chasni was very tastey & garlic nan for an extra £1 was to die for! During the week & weekend there is a pre theatre menu available for £8.95 per person until 7pm, great value for money! Staff very friendly. Went through to the bar for a few drinks afterwards, this area has been done up and is very modern with a pool table, plenty of seats and good music. We will definitely be back!

This restaurant was recommended to me by a friend and as it had been a while since I had a decent korma decided we would go out of our area and go here. When my husband returned with our chicken Kashmiri korma to share (usually I cannot eat a full curry to myself) we opened the shallow plastic tub to find 6 small pieces of chicken and a slice of pineapple. We sat down to eat it and cut through the chicken only to find it was dangerously under cooked to the point there was blood and the garlic nan didn't have a bit of garlic in sight. I would never eat from here again if you paid me!! I only wish I'd taken a photograph.

Its pure quality man, but i dont really like indian food. I prefer Dominos or Chargas. Garry is a pro at what he does and Arron is lazy and doesnt show any graft and clealy doesnt do his twenty minutes. Great atmosphere and really enjoyed it but the food was disgusting and the service was horrid and the food was awryt man. The decoration on the nside was nae bad.

We had a fabulous family meal last night to celebrate my father in laws 80th Birthday. We couldn't have chosen a better venue. The food was excellent and the staff were friendly and very attentive. The restaurant had a great atmosphere and I would certainly encourage anyone to go! And just to top everything off the bill was very very reasonable too! Thanks guys!

booked cafe Asia for husband 40th birthday. When booked given £9.95 a person. When arrived it had gone up to £12.95 a person. Charged for 24 people when only 22. Phoned to complain and asked us out to discuss and basically called us a liar. My advice check your bill and get quotes in writing:-(

Coming back from golf and drove past café asia.an easy thing to do. I thought it was a carry out indian.My freiend told us he had been in and it was good.Maybe a wee sign on the pavement telling you its open would help. The entrance and decor going up to café Asia is from the early 80s.Dark and uninspiring, very narrow. Yet when you get to the top its been very well renovated, quality job.and its massive. Lunch is 11 £ for a three course.with a 2.4.1offer.And jevia who is friendly and funnyIs a credit to the café. The food is not massive portions but ample for lunch.The three of us loved the food and left happy and full.at 34 £ with coffee for 4 meals 4 starters we will be back.Jevia gave us a tour and it is outstanding a lovely Indian, and absolutely massive.Maybe a bigger sign outside to tell you its open for lunch, and brighten up the stairway.Will be back lets hope they buy chocolate mints for the coffee.

I had heard good things about this restaurant but I need to say my experience fell far short of the mark.The food is ok - not brilliant, just ok. I worry when a restaurant uses too much food colouring and Cafe Asia excels here. The pakora sauce was luminous and the chicken tikka main course was and unnaturally orange and red colour. It was obvious by the taste that there had been little time for marination - very bland indeed. The rest of our food was edible but not memorable. The environment is awful. The place resembles a sad night-club indeed I'd go as far to say that this may have been what it was before the restaurant was open. The stairway is dank and not so clean and that general feeling is carried through into the main seating area. Everything is dark. Service however is good with the waiters eager to please.If the team at Cafe Asia open some windows, brighten the place up and work at the food then I could be persuaded to go back, until then I'll stick with the better options that are about locally.

We go to cafe Asia a lot as the food is out of this world and we like the atmosphere and staff are very friendly we like going on a Friday night as a singer is on through in the bar we have our food and then go through and sit on the nice comfy couches and have a dance it is a fantastic place I would not have known it was there if my friend didn't tell us about it as she's from Gartcosh we are a bit further out but we keep going back to cafe Asia as it is a great place the food is always outstanding we get the korma which is lovely the chicken pieces are massive aswel as the nan breads we struggle to eat it all but I defo would recommend cafe Asia to anyone.

Having visited the function room for an all inclusive night (which was just brilliant) we went back for tea.The staff are friendly and knowledge able and they will make whaever you want.When they are busy the longe bar area is great for pre & post meal drinks....If you like Indian cuisine or even fancy trying it for the first time you cannot afford not to goA gem.....

My wife & I were looking for somewhere for a quick bite to eat and popped in to this unlikely gem. There was a buffet available as well as the a la carte menu. I'd fully recommend it. Brilliant wee place.

My fave Indians , enjoy a nice meal friendly staff , great value for take away too , had my sons communion here last year , staff couldn't do enough to help :)

four of us went for dinner.... catalogue of disasters. given a drink with large crack on glass. then the impatient waitress. wrong meals very very very small portions, no privacy whatsover.tables too close together. asked for salt and they came with a dish and small spoon for this. waiters in an indian restuarant walking about like bouncers in denims, take a visit to bombay dreams guys.............now they know how to treat their clientele

Discovered Cafe Asia at a Christening a few months ago. Loved it then and have just had a take away meal from there. Delicious food, generous portions, reasonable prices and really friendly staff. The premises are modern and clean as well. We'll be back!

Came for the buffet was excellent great tastes and variety. Friendly staff good seperate Bar. Will be a regular here I think.

Ended up at Cafe Asia after we were told that Rasio in Lenzie was full. Despite being a well hidden establishment this place was fantastic. The staff are very friendly and they interact with all their customers...a must in this day and age. The food was superb and the Tikka Masala was one of the best I've ever tasted. The platter starter will do four and cost you less than half what you'd pay for an individual starter each. If in the area do visit a great place.
