Cadwaladers in Bridgend

My wife and I and our dog Shelley come here regularly. Nice food and drinks served by lovely welcoming staff. Always pleased to see us and what a great place it is. Come rain or shine it's always a pleasure to be here. Good selection of ice-cream, even a choice for Shelley. We treated ourselves on pancake day to a pancake stack each and a doggy ice-cream for Shelley. Highly recommended for families and dog walkers.

Food ok but the staff are awful. Wouldn't let us sit on a table for 4 (there were 3 of us). Then told us in an abrupt manner to move the child's buggy. Loads more welcoming places in Porthcawl. I suggest you try one of them.

We enjoyed stopping here for some ice cream after a walk along the front. Even our dog was catered for with her own special ice cream. Service was fast and friendly. We were able to sit on a table out front with a great view.

Myself my husband and stepson called in to the Cafe this morning initially left standing by the till then told to find a table with a green tick before ordering. There were a couple of tables for two and one for a table for 5 and several that needed clearing. We went to sit at table for 5 but was told by member of staff that we couldn't we were left standing there no offer to clear a table for 3! for us. We felt very unwelcome so we left. Hygiene might be excellent but customer service left a lot to be desired.

We stopped by on a whim after going for a wet and windy walk. Three toasties ordered and a toasted tea cake. The toasties were very tasty and came with a simple side salad and a whole bag of crisps. Only slight negative is that the food arrived before our hot drinks and the table was a little small for four diners to eat comfortably. Definitely worth a stop for a good lunch.

Lovely coffee, service OK. Wasn't made aware at time of purchasing of Loyalty card, too late to add points after transaction. Didn't mind paying by card (this was the ONLY option available) but what really irked was the tip bowl PRESUMABLY FOR CASH right next to cards only sign. Personally don't m8nd tipp8ng occasionally, but if companies prefer cashless transactions, then 7snt it a bit contradictory to expect tips in coin/note format.

Popped in for a quick coffee break. very comfortable seating. Coffee was served hot and timely. A little pricey but everything is nowadays.

It was raining so we called in for a coffee and bacon sandwich.. The service was so slow, we forwent the sandwich. Continental staff really take an interest - why can't home grown folk follow.

Great little gem service was great food and drinks spot on couldn't complain about anything 8 of us and everything was perfect

The best place to have a coffee and a bite to eat in Porthcawl. The loveliest, friendliest staff who will always have a chat with you and give your dog a massive fuss. Highly recommend

We visited here Saturday morning. Stood at the sign which says please wait to be seated for ages before anybody acknowledged us. We were given filthy menus - looked like something had been spilt on them. Asked for them to be cleaned, the girl tutted. After waiting ages to order, we said to one of the girls we were ready and were told we had to go up to the counter. It would be helpful if this was explained or there was a sign up. My mum ordered a latte but then asked for it to be cancelled and ordered an orange juice instead. The girl said this was fine. The latte was still brought to the table, when we pointed out we changed it to an orange juice she took it away and brought a glass of orange, slammed it in the table. We thought the glass was going to smash. My drink was forgotten altogether too. I ordered apple juice, when It didn’t come and I asked for it I was told they’d run out. Why weren’t we told this when we ordered and paid for it. It wasn’t busy either. You really need to train your staff properly. Won’t be rushing back. Very poor.

Give this place a miss for ice-cream unless you don't mind paying way over the odds for the ice cream the scoop isn't much bigger than a spoon the tub is without doubt the smallest you can buy and the price is extremely high which you will see if you just look before committing to buy have a walk to the Supermarket and save yourself enough money for ice cream and a drink has well.

Delicious milkshakes and pizzas! My husband and I visited today, in fact we are regular visitors with our children as well. Staff are already helpful and the food is absolutely delicious. Highly recommend!

No idea about. Disability. OK about leaving you standing for a good while even though it's impossible to socially distance when you use a white cane. Any requests on ordering ignored. Covid arrangements poor due to delay in seating people. Sometimes at least 10 minutes....

Great little cafe right on the porthcawl seafront with a beautiful view of the sunset. Great atmosphere with friendly and mindful staff. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and few other places do a better flat white!

This is a really nice new cafe with a great view of the sea-front, as someone who drinks a ridiculous amount of coffee I can say it was a 10/10, cannot reccomend highly enough, and the staff are eeeven more lovely!

Cadwaladers are, at least, the third owners that we have encountered in nearly 50 years of visiting this cafe/ icecream parlour, so our first visit with the new owners was not only disappointing but making it feel like the end of an era for us....
