Came with the family after an epic Christmas shopping spree in Newcastle.First time for me, and it was really nice. I did get my Patti well done as I don't like pink meat, we all ordered different meals and everyone had clean plates. I had the burger with onion rings in the bun and sweet potato fries. It is on the expensive side I thought, but it's perfect place for a treat now and then. Will return in the future

Friendly staff, good atmosphere, and more importantly delicious burgers and milkshakes. Went for a work lunch in a group of 6, nice and quick, in and out well within the hour.

I love Byron and disappointed to see that this location has shutdown. We ended up a GBK as the Handmade Burger Co is also closed. Such a shame as Byron was much better than both.

Byron again and had the delicious double bacon cheese. Juicy, moist and delicious offering but what they don’t tell you on the menu how tasty is the cheeky bacon and cheese middle!! Delicious

nothing to write home about. the classic cheeseburger is nice and very average. no personality or anything special. kids portions are tiny. quite disappointing really. if u live in newcastle and want a good burger and fries, go to fat hippo!!

Han sido varias veces mientras compras en el centro de metro y la comida nunca decepciona. Es más caro que los otros restaurantes cercanos, pero vale la pena cada céntimo. Son hamburguesas recién hechas en la cocina abierta y el servicio es siempre rápido. El personal es amable y atento y siempre tienen una sonrisa en la cara. Siempre es bastante vacío cuando nos han visitado y no veo por qué! Buena selección de cervezas. No puedo esperar a volver!

It say's "Proper Burgers"... and that's what you get. Classic Burger and a decent portions of skinny fries for a tenner...PLUS a bottle of Molino Loco for £15... now that's not bad at all. Comfortable seating.. plenty of room... quick efficient service.

Comida deliciosa almuerzo con mis nietos. Disfrutamos de hamburguesas con queso azul y un lado de patatas fritas los calabacines. Delicioso. Los niños tuvieron el menú infantil de hamburguesas, patatas fritas y cóctel Shirley Temple. Ellos disfrutaron de la suya. El servicio era estupendo y los niños me gustó el ceras, etc.

My wife has been here before, said it was really good, so me, my wife and daughter call in, shown to our table by very friendly staff, we start off with nachos that came with a homemade guacamole and tomato dip, very good, they do a lunch menu, 10 pounds for a burger, side and drink, fantastic value, I ordered the Byron burger with fries, the burger patty was perfectly medium, dry cured bacon, mature cheddar cheese, shredded iceberg lettuce, tomato, red onion and Byron sauce, a beautiful tasting burger, chips, very good, and a side pickle to finish, my wife orders a classic skinny chicken that she really enjoyed, she orders courgette fries, first time of trying and surprisingly very good, my daughter who is 3, really enjoyed her chicken nuggets and chips, very good chicken by the way, really impressed, and for all under 35 pounds. Me and the family will be returning for sure.

I really enjoyed the food and vibes in this place. The beer was unusual and worth trying, but the obvious star of the show was the burger. I had the Kimcheese special and was not disappointed!

First visit to Byron and it won't be my last. This restaurant is especially good if you have children to eat out. We ordered 2 Adults main meals and had 4 children eat for only 25p each!! I was sceptical at first but they chose from the usual children's menu picking a main option, side and drink!! Everyone ordered something different and all of the food was very good. Both my mum and I ordered 'skinny' burgers replacing the bread buns with salad and they were great. Service was quick and friendly. Will be back again soon.

Gewoon goede burgers, en vriendelijk personeel. Een zaak waar ik zeker terug zal komen als ik nog eens in Newcastle ben.

The veggie mushroom "hamburger" is just to laugh for. Plain, small, not worth the price. We also ordered onion rings as a side, three of them had the whole unpeeled onion fried. It is not worth the price. Loads of better alternatives in metrocentre.

We went as I had been to the Newcastle one and enjoyed it, this one was the same burgers are brilliant and full of flavour, fries always hot and tastes fresh, staff friendly, welcoming and always positive, great value for money and we left feeling full!! If I am in the metro-centre I will always go back it's the best burger place around. Also a great menu to suit all!!

We visited this restaurant a couple of times but brought our friends back with us the other night as they had never been!

Why did we (a family of five - two adults and three teenagers) choose Byron's over all the other 'burger joints' ? Here are just two reasons:

We visited with our two little children - which is always a challenge! I requested a booth (to keep the toddler contained!) and this was no problem to the staff. They provided a colouring sheet and nice new crayons along with the menus and this kept said toddler happy for a little while. The menu was lovely, lots of choice and importantly for me, healthy alternatives to bread buns and fried meat. The drinks came quickly and the food followed soon after. Quality of the food was excellent and the quantity was generous. The children's meal was big for a 2 year old but made for an excellent take-home easy tea! The staff were attentive, polite and helpful and the restaurant itself was clean and clear (I.e. Easy to get a pushchair around) I would recommend and visit again, thank you.

Visited this restaurant on a busy bank holiday. The service was very poor, queues of people waiting to be seated despite many empty tables. We were seated and our orders were taken pretty quickly. Food is incredibly expensive for you get, £12.95 for a burger and that doesn't include any sides. My burger arrived and it wasn't as advertised, the onion ring was missing. Nobody came throughout our meal to ask how the food was, even on clearing our plates despite my other half having left at least half of his burger we weren't asked how the food was. Took ages for the bill to come, another customer even went up to a staff member and said they wanted to pay now or they were walking out as they had waited that long. Awful, won't be going back.

I visited here with my two daughters a couple of days before new year. I ordered a bacon double cheeseburger which was cooked to perfection amazingly juicy and the cheese well I have no words! However at around £12.50 I would have expected to at least get a side with that, instead I had to order a side of fries at almost £3. My daughters had kids meals which were pretty good value and both agreed were really tasty. The decor and staff are great and overall our visit was excellent.

Went for a meal here on 28th December, I have to say food was great, nice burger for my wife and the chicken wings were spicy and well cooked. However what spoiled the visit was the service, slow and a lot of dirty tables. When our food arrived we had no cutlery , napkins or our drinks. The food is good but I won't be going back. Gave 3 stars because food was good.

Visited twice in the week before Christmas (with Kallum for his birthday, then with Judith after shopping). Really impressed with the quality of the food. Staff were excellent on both nights and offered top quality customer service.

The only thing to say is this is the best thought out and most perfect burger restaurant by far. Yes it is expensive but all the care in the world is taken to give u the best burger you will ever have simple as that.

Yeah the food is ok it's just way to expensive for what you get. Drink prices akin to London and portions akin to a Hobbit. You can certainly eat better for less elsewhere, fact. Don't be fooled by any hype.

Went here for a quick bite whilst shopping, food and service was quick and delicious. Portions were huge and is a little experience for what you get.

First visit to Byron, which is located in the newly renovated food court. It's fitted out like a traditional American diner. Very clean, open kitchen, everything is very smart.

Went here this afternoon for a light meal and had the classic cob salad. It had bacon chicken avocado and blue cheese. I must say that this was the best salad I have had in a while and really well presented. My partner had the chicken burger, and was obviously freshly prepared, she too was impressed with the quality of the food. What really made the experience pleasant was having a lovely cheery waitress, she crouched down next to the table so she was at eye level too, which thought was nice and considerate. To finish I had an espresso, which had a really flavour, good coffee! If Byron's read this, take note that your staff are a real asset! Lovely dining experience, will definitely return!

We popped in for food on a busy Saturday afternoon. The staff were very attentive and after we ordered the waiter said it would take 15 minutes. It was good to know in advance and he was spot on. The drinks were cold, and the glasses chilled. I ordered caesar salad with chicken and bacon. It was a large portion, fresh and tasted delicious. My husband had the veggie beanburger with fries and he enjoyed it. The fries were hot and crispy. Overall, a really good experience and we will be going back.

Ate here while shopping, quick friendly service and good food. A bit pricey but other than that great. The staff were excellent, very professional and welcoming.

Visited at lunch time & we were quickly shown to a table. I chose the chicken burger & my husband chose the double bacon burger. My burger was meant to come with a special sauce but I asked what was in the sauce & realising that I didn't like the ingredients asked if I could change the sauce & was very happy with the barbecue sauce replacement. We shared a portion of french fries with freddar sauce. The staff we very friendly & attentive.

Hadn't heard of Byron until very recently so when we spotted the chain in the Metro Centre we couldn't resist trying it. Have to say MacDonalds never floated my boat but this is a totally different experience. Staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful even when the youngest tipped her drink all over the place. Food was served quickly and was of excellent quality, surrounding were pleasant. We will be back.

I have a pinto of peroni my kids have a burger with no bun and salad two portions of frozen fries with bacon cheese melted on two milk shakes. The burger is clearly loaded with fat as it turns from a 6oz into a 4 Oz after cooking which is a macdonalsds quarter pounder for 10.35 what a disgrace other son had six chicken wings and a blue cheese dip. 41 quid for two kids meals and a beer. Never again

There's a great variety of burgers and the brioche buns are to die for but all in all no way worth the price they're charging, with the up-and-coming burger craze like five guys and the like, they're all the same, slightly over average burgers costing well over the mark prices, £12 for a burger and having to pay for fries as an extra is beyond me... I don't get it and will not be visiting again.

Went for lunch with my Mum and the food was tasty and fresh. It was a weekday and rather quiet, which was lucky as the service was slow so I can't imagine what it's like when it's busy.

When you are looking for a healthy lunch in the Metro centre and you don't want a salad eateries are limited.

Love the bacon double cheese burgers from this place they are the best, always get mine cooked medium rare mmm ! Also got the bacon cheese fries and the mac and cheese for sides they were awesome we will be back.

Have been meaning to try Byron for quite some time, so finally get to visit the Metrocentre with some friends.

Visited for lunch, dull & lacklustre staff, I noticed none of the cooks in the kitchen had protective clothing on, one cook had lank greasy hair hanging over the grill...everywhere else such as Wagamamma has cooks wearing correct kit including hair coverings.

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful,the food was freshly made and worth the wait,everyone enjoyed the meal in a relaxed atmosphere and look forward to visiting again.

Really good burger, great service, lovely staff. Downside was price. £10.25 for burger only - if you want fries etc you have to order them as a side. The latte was £2.30 ish and was the tiniest latte I've ever had. Espresso size. So, although there were strong positives, I won't be going back.

Lovely staff gorgeous hamburgers freshly made and well presented cooked to your taste rare med well done homemade coleslaw lovely too but at the end if the day it's only hamburger and fries with two drinks and one side dish £35 .

It's a brilliant place for all burger lovers but being a vegetarian was slightly disappointed with the choice of food selection Non the less the burgers were nice and presentation was spot on! The staff are very friendly and it's a clean and neat restaurant.

National chain newly arrived at MetroCentre. We visited shortly after opening. What made our visit extra special was the friendliness of the mostly young staff.

First time visiting Byron. Can not fault, service was excellent, burgers we delicious and cooked to our liking. Would definitely recommend, theres alot of burger places popping up at the moment this ones does well to stand out.

Had dinner here over the weekend. A good welcome and we could sit where we wanted to. Waitress ok but the others who were waiting on the table were lazy. When there was food to be served up the far end of the table (there were 6 of us) she plonked them down one end and expected the table to pass the food up! Same with the bill. She knew I was paying it and left it at the far end of the table. Very strange way of trying to earn a tip!

We walked past this place as looked like a normal American burger bar but on being approached with samples soon changed our minds. The burger tasted like real steak and decided to give the place a try. We got seated almost straight away and the waitress was wonderful! She told us about specialist beers in promotion that we could sample, we aren't beer drinkers so gave it a miss, and opted for a Diet Coke. We both decided on the bun-free skinny burger, which came with all the trimmings of a burger but also a lovely leafy salad rather than a bun, with a side order of sweet potato fries and coleslaw which we both shared. It was beautiful and didn't want my meal to end. Will most definitely be paying another visit when next in the Metro Centre.

They should be queueing out the door of this burger place! Amazing nachos, ingredients all tasted fresh. Super quick and friendly service and amazingly good burgers. Went for the BRex burger and thoroughly enjoyed it. Can't believe the place isn't busier. It's for REAL burger lovers.

This is well worth a visit. Attentive enthusiastic staff serving the freshest ever burgers of every description. Cant wait to go back!

Visited a couple of weeks ago after it had not long opened. Decided to go for Byron burger as something different to what we usually go for. Was very impressed. The girl serving us, whose name I unfortunately cannot recall, was very pleasant, nice and chatty but not overbearing. The food itself was great. the burger was huge and filling. The milkshakes, while being slightly pricey at £5, were delicious. a lovely clean restaurant with nice decor and a great atmosphere. Real authentic burgers Overall an enjoyable experience and would visit again.

Took my eldest and thought it was great. The bunzilla is a thing of great beauty although the chicken burger was average and a bit dry. The shakes are outstanding. Service was slick and friendly, a little bit pricey but on the whole very good

In my opinion best burgers in the north east. Fast efficient and friendly staff. Burgers cooked to perfection- sweet potato fries to die for.

Visited here after being to the Byron in town a few times. Service was exceptional by our waiter Johnny. Burgers were fantastic and love that we could have them medium! Will defo be returning! Great addition to the food hall at the metro centre!

We happened upon the newly opened Byron Hamburgers by chance on Easter Bank Holiday Monday. It was packed but we were seated within 5 minutes. Eleanor was our server and she was quick and friendly. We got the B-Rex Burger and a Skinny (no bun) Chicken Burger along with onion rings and chips. We got a Strawberry shake and a Peanut Butter Shake. The food was hot and delicious and the shakes were fabulous! Total bill with drinks was £43.60.
