Burton Spice in Lincoln

Yet again very disappointing Chicken Madras,only taste was the BIR base gravy. No punch as no spice taste. Have had very good Chicken Madras in the past and couldn't fault it using Burton Spice for along time. This is the 3rd disappointing curry within months,definitely time for a change and reading other reviews must have different people cooking,definitely not good 👎

I went and got a takeaway on Friday night. It was absolutely amazing, it's been a while since I've been, but it didn't disappoint. Absolutely fantastic. I rang order through first, they said half hour and it was ready when I went in. Excellent service.

the worst takeaway i have ever been to the man on the phone whos name is ash is so rude and rushed my order then proceeding to mess up and shout at me for it. food took 2 hours and arrived cold and I found short black/grey hairs in my chip bag. i ordered veggie massala and they gave me a chicken one. burton spice please reply i am sincerely appalled.

Telephone skills are disgraceful felt like they didn’t want to take my order seemed blunt and arrogant no manners had to put phone down not good customer service will definitely not be calling again. It’s a shame as I like the food

Ordered the lamb tikka biryani. The lamb was inedible. I wouldn't even give it to our dogs. As tough and rubbery as old boots. Only visiting Lincoln for one night otherwise I would have returned it. Would not recommend.

Called up to be answered by a woman who was very aggressive and sounded very rude on the phone was very shocked and gob smacked because usually there okay to speak to, this has pushed me away and will be going else where from now on. Food is decent but just beware of this individual

After a day of been very busy we needed something quick. We rang up and ordered and 20 minutes later we picked it up a garlic naan wrap chips curry was a chicken jalfz with a pilau rice. Food was delicious full of flavour, Definitely the best we ever had. Definitely we will be back with more orders to come

Will not order from here again!! It took 1 hr and 40 mins to be delivered so food was luke warm on arrival. They forgot the poppadoms so my husband rang up to ask for them to send some as we had the dips but no poppadoms! The man on the phone was very arrogant and rude. After all that the food wasn't even that great the currys were far too sweet, the potatoes in the sag aloo were too hard and the pilau rice had an odd texture. Do Not recommend!!!

Excellent food, but the portions are slightly smaller recently.

Chicken dansak, pilau rice and peshwari nan, ready in 20 minutes freshly cooked and just a delicious mix of sweet and spice.

Friendly staff but kebab n naan was tasteless n tasted like Iceland frozen kebab packet portion size was more for a child and was very expensive for what we got

Chicken Madras, Pilau rice, Keema naan and a lovely portion of onion bhaji all for about £15. Cooked fresh in 20 mins - perfect. Shame I'm not a local 'cos this would become my go-to Indian curry take away. On the plus side it's only a 5 min walk from the Lawns car park for you fellow motor-homers. Best curry I've had on the road for ages.. Well done

After being disappointed with our last meal, tonight, they were back up to standard. A lovely hot and delicious meal delivered in the exact time advised when ordered.

Best Indian takeaway in Lincoln for korma dishes (our usual order). Can’t find one yet that has beaten here including outside of Lincoln and dine in restaurants. Always compare them to burton spice and burton wins hands down every time!

Enjoyed another excellent meal, very busy, but worth it. My favourite is Chicken Bengal, full of flavour with touch of chilli, onions and peppers, if you like a little tingle but not over hot.

We love food from Burton spice and we have never been disappointed. We usually order for collection and the times given are normally accurate and the prices are not bad. Last time we have ordered however, we were told it would be ready in 30 minutes, it takes us around 15 minutes to get there. When I arrived on time, the man at the counter didn’t seems to know where our order ticket was straight away and didn’t say anything but disappeared at the back in the kitchen. I sat down and waited, watched other people getting their orders before me even though some of them walked in after me. There were also receiving high numbers of calls for delivery. Some 20 minutes later, the order was brought out to me, with no apology for the wait. Honestly, I didn’t mind waiting and if he at least acknowledged that, I wouldn’t be so annoyed. I get that Fridays are busy, I’ve used to work in hospitality, so I get it but accurate/realistic time given would have been appreciated and I wouldn’t have left home so early. Something the business can think about and maybe give extra time for collections, just in case or have a better order management so that they don’t get missed.

Very crass. On calling in an order I was first greeted with "how many meals?". Basically is it going to be worth my while taking your order! When I order 1 tikka masala 1 banana 1 rice it's too late or I get told it will be a li g long wait and cant guaran6a time ,bas6trying to put me off. Well it did, and iv told everyone I can it happened 6 times in a row so now we go to Saga on Burton rd n he is lovely and th food is great!. Screw you Burton spice6.

We won a set meal for 2 from a charity event picked up tonight one of the best Indians we’ve ever had the food was so fresh and the flavours were amazing think we’ve 100% found our new Indian

Best indian in town been having Indian from here for 3 years now and we have never had a bad order food is full of flavour every single time

Been here a few times now and each time it's delicious each time. We ordered over the phone and took 30 mins but when we've walked in off street we've been waiting a long time but will still go back.

Regularly get a takeaway from here , and never disapointed . The food is piping hot, the sauce is probably the best Indian sauce I've tried . The food is good value , the consistency of the service is always high . Free delivery on orders over 10 pounds , and small fee over 4 miles radius . Fantastic food great service delivered hot

Usually have an excellent experience when ordering from Burton Spice unfortunately the onion bhajis were undercooked and the food seemed to be lacking the care it usually gets. Had my order read back to me, confirmed my order (including 5 drinks) and only received four, when I called they said they wrote down four.

Tock bit longer to deliver food due to drive being unwell, chips were cold but all other food itams are amazing and very hot, one of the best takeaway in Lincoln. Well done

What can I say I was hurry a curry what I wanted, so a call to Burton Spice. Order over the phone and very polite and helpful staff, as I needed Some dietary requirements and there was more than happy to meet them. Food was fantastic more that I could eat. Full of flavour. This has got to be the best Indan in Lincoln. I would not go anywhere else.

One of the best indian take away in lincoln, if you're up for a challenge try the special chilli (not for the faint hearted) the naan wraps are very filling and very nice.

Used Burton spice for over 13 years and always been very happy. Had one a few weeks ago though and a real let down. Had one last night, worst ever. Ordered garlic chicken tandoori, got over done lamb tandoori instead, popadoms greasy and madras was way below standard against BS's normal. Very disappointed. We thought last time was a one-off but it seems not. We won't be going back in a hurry.

Best Indian takeaway in lincoln. Their food takes longer to cook. But that suggests they must be cooking it freshly. Worth waiting for if u ask me. I hope they open a restaurant soon. Need a nice sit down Indian in the area. Well done guys 👌

Eaten here many many times over the years that it has been open and I can honestly say that from the first time to the latest time it has never disappointed me, the staff are always friendly when collecting and the waiting times are reasonable If you want a meal for a decent price with good quality this is the Indian to go to Highly recommended for anyone new to the area or anyone fancying a change Good job guys :)

Normally Burton spice is the best curry in Lincoln.....my takeaway tonight was disappointing. It was way too hot for a madras, the poppadoms were greasy and after waiting an hour and 15 mins..... I would normally recommend......but not sure now :-(

Tried most of the curry house's in Lincoln and this one have's to be the best . Always get loads in the dish's unlike some Indian's and full of favour . I'm so happy I don't use anyone else now

The food at Burton Spice is ok, not great, but ok. On telephone collection orders it is normally ready within half an hour. The biggest gripe I have with this place is the customer service. Their telephone manner is abrupt, and you never get a thank you over the phone when you have placed your order. When you collect, the only person that has the slightest resemblance to understanding 'service with a smile' is the young blonde girl who works there sometimes. These people need to understand that CUSTOMER IS KING and what generates the majority of return visits is good customer service. Take note and improve

The only place who could deliver and unfortunately for me I do not like curry so ordered something English - chicken was hard as a rock and the steak was like it had just fallen off the bottom of someone's shoe. I spent £17 and threw it in the bin., Chips were also disgusting. So if you don't want a curry don't order from here,
