Burger Base in Tendring

So i swear hands down the double beef burger was like meaty and nice bap. You get loads off fries to. Nice and hot. Nice friendly staff and after that i went to 4 diffrent pubs to get some nice beers to wash it all down with….lols…

Amazing food and staff Sania was the best one to help and well trained. Will definitely go back there again!

After reading all the reviews I couldn't wait to try this place and what a disappointed. Me and my family walked in this Saturday lunch time (1pmish) and the waitress didn't look happy to see us at all very unwelcoming, she sat us down and took about 10 minutes to take our order considering there was no one in the restaurant... after a wait our food arrived, I would say it was good value for the money and the children ate free which is a result however the waitress did not once come over during our meal to check on us or asked if we wanted any other drinks which we did, although the food was good the waitress ruined our experience of the restaurant

We were served by a wonderful young lady called Christina and nothing was to much for her so top marks for that and the food was absolutely scrummy

I have eaten here 3 times now and have not been dissapointed, the food is always very tasty and well presented. The staff are very friendly and always helpful - would recommend for a decent burger for a reasonable price.

Popped in here for a quick lunch on Saturday afternoon. The place is done out beautifully, Surprised to see how empty it was. We ordered our food, and waited...and waited...We waited about 25 minutes, but when the food came out, we decided it was worth the wait. The Texas burger and sweet potato fries were to die for. The presentation was excellent. Perfect. My only concern would be how long would we wait if the whole place were packed.

Visited this lovely little restaurant on Saturday night after the fireworks at the Pier. Although it was packed, the staff were really attentive and did all they could to make sure we were happy. The burgers were delicious and the caesar salad was also really nice and fresh. Totally recommended

We visited here on firework night as a walkin. It took at least 10 minutes to take our order ..... 15 minute wait for drinks then a further 35 minute wait for our starter which I had to go and enquire as to its whereabouts. The food when it eventually arrived was nice and the house red was very palatable and well priced. We may revisit but I hope they get their act together with the service.

This restaurant is well worth the visit when in Clacton. The food is of excellent quality, the beef burgers especially are of a brilliant quality and everything is presented beautifully. The staff are friendly and more than helpful and the decor is clean and modern. If you want a decent meal then this is the place to go!

Food lovely would rate nearly as good as Byron burgers. Filling good presentation and kids can eat free. Service excellent good value

We all thoroughly enjoyed our dinners which were really tasty. The burgers were tender and served in lovely brioche rolls.

what a nice surprise ,clean and well fitted out restaurant.People were polite and pleased to see us.Food was excellent very fresh and tasty ,burgers were great .On the whole we had a great meal and good value for money.Will be coming back on a regular basisGood luck for the future

My husband and I took our daughter there today for lunch and I can say we will NOT be returning! Yes we was seated straight away but that was it, orders taken then after a wait (restaurant was empty) food was put in front of us! Not once was we checked on, my chicken burger was burnt on the bottom with hardly any sauce but tons of lettuce and tomatoes! My husband and daughters burgers tasted of a supermarket brought burger and you get over charged to have chips! Very over priced and not worth it at all. I do not recommend this place at all.

We visited the restaurant just after 5pm on a weekday, the restaurant was fairly quiet. we were greeted straight away and show to our table. The decor is rustic and modern and not over fussy. We ordered our drinks and food at the same time and were also offered a free Childs meal which also included a free drink with the meal. We ordered a side of coleslaw which i have to say was very overly priced one pound fifty for spoonful. I would not order this again ! The burgers and fries were cooked perfectly and were really tasty. The drinks were not too pricey either I opted for a smoothie priced at three pounds fifty and this was worth the money. Feedback for Burger Base would be you have got the drinks and main meals sport on but the side dishes do need looking at. Overall a positive experience and we would visit again.

Visited for a quick meal the night before my wedding and was very impressed with the size and taste of the burgers. The sweet potato fries were hot and very tasty. One thing - sticky toffee pudding should be served warm.....

We were in the mood for a nice burger but not the usual mainstream mass produced burgers. We heard of Burger Base and thought we would give them a try. The staff were friendly from the time we entered all the way trough until we left. We love the rustic decor. The food was well presented and very tasty. We will gladly return in the future and maybe even bring some family and friends.

Strange we looked at Armstrong's to noisey with bowling, then franco's to long to wait then Mexican to busy again 20 min wait, then burger base,so glad,people think a little expensive no its not it was good quality food,and I've eaten in expensive restaurants and cooked in them as well,some burger joints give you brioche buns can't stand those so sweet and break up soon as there wet, good bun good burger good home cooked onion rings!

I have to say this was one of the best Burgers I have had I could not fault it or the restaurant the service was second to none the staff very friendly and happy and the food great cannot wait to visit again

warm atmosphere & very friendly. The food was amazing & was very cheap! very generous size portions too which filled us up! Would highly recommend visiting this place, it's just what clacton needed!

Second day opening. Burgers really good, chips lovely, a bit of a problem with the bar no wine only beer and a bottle of vodka !! Will go back in a couple of weeks to see how it's going
