The food here is absolutely amazing,real authentic Italian.Staff very friendly and welcoming.Will definitely be back.

We were on our way back to our cottage with our guide dog puppy and wanted a late lunch. Passed the restaurant and then turned back as it was open which was great for us. I popped in and asked if it was ok to bring the puppy in. They don’t allow dogs but given he was in training they accommodated us. We are so pleased they did. The guy who served us was lovely. I had a prawn cocktail with chips and the other half the best chicken Kiev pizza she has ever had, high praise indeed! Couple of pints of Italian larger and a soft drink. Great value and good food. Would definitely return if back in the area. Oh and thank you for letting the puppy in he was a good boy so no problems,

Stunning Italian food in a small restaurant. Excellent quality food and service here. If you love Mussels and King prawns there are starters and mains to suit. The chips are fabulous as well! My wife loved the special goats cheese starter and the chicken breast stuffed with Brie and wrapped in proscuttio with a cream sauce. Absolutely delicious and the service is amazing. Recommended as a real gem

Another example of what is a mediocre italian eaterie in the North East. Food was no better than we can rustle up ourselves. Place was lacking atmosphere, and the waiter was devoid of personality. No smiles or casual chat.

How lucky the people of wolsingham are to have an authentic Italian restaurant on their doorstep. First visit today with my husband, 3 year old and newborn. Won’t be our last. Nicely decorated inside, really pleasant staff and nice house red wine. I tried the goats cheese off the specials board which was DELICIOUS! Husband had the king prawns off normal menu. For main we shared pizza & carbonara. Pizza is gorgeous thin and crispy. Only improvement would be to serve some cocktails or aperol spritz and tap in to that market as would love to sit on the terrace with a summery drink - although the wine was nice anyway.

Really enjoyed our recent meal. Great service with friendly staff and food was really delicious. Spotlessly clean and great ambiance. Look forward to our next visit.

We booked for our wedding anniversary and sadly, what a let down! No atmosphere staff unhelpful and itching to clear our table before we had even finished eaten. Food was very substandard especially the lasagne that was like soggy baby food. Quality and presentation of food did not match the price tag! Such a shame as we were so looking forward to it. We definitely will not eat here again.

I have enjoyed this wonderful Italian on many an occasion and have never experienced anything less than excellent! The food is absolutely delicious and service is wonderful. We also get take away pizzas and pastas and the standard matches the restaurant - brilliant! Can’t recommend highly enough!

What a lovely evening! First visit to Buon Appetito in Wolsingham which is crazy as we only live 12 miles away! We met up with a couple of friends for food and will definitely be back! The menu and specials board made our decision on what to eat a difficult one! But we all thoroughly enjoyed our choices, quality and quantity were excellent, for starters, mains and desserts. Lovely ambiance in the restaurant , busy even on a Tuesday evening! Very friendly, efficient and attentive staff. I love this place!!! Why travel up to Durham or Newcastle when we have such a delightful restaurant only 12 miles from our doorstep!!!

As a group of 5 we had a variety of dishes from the menu. They were all excellent. Service was attentive without being intrusive.

Overall a very poor show, service and food/drink wise. We had a variety of dishes and none of them tasted any fresher or more tasty than an M & S microwave meal or chilled pizza. £18 for a chicken Kiev, which landed on a large plate, sliding around with no garnish etc, accompanied by some greasy chips. Pizza was bland and not very tasty at all, the meat feast was laughable, We all agreed we had seem more meat on a butchers pencil. No draft Italian larger/beers, just small expensive bottles. We won’t be going back.

The surroundings are very nice; great interior design but it's a huge space and was a bit cold despite the fact we were sat by a small fire on this chilly December night. I enjoyed my melanzane parmagiana from the specials board and my husband enjoyed his pizza but our friends were unimpressed with their chicken dishes, which arrived on stone cold plates. I'd been before and we had gone on my recommendation but none of the others felt they would go back and thought it was expensive for what they got. It was great that we could eat nice and early though. The opening hours are geared towards that. There is ample parking but the car park could do with a light as it was very dark finding your way across it. Not good if like one of us you are unsteady on your feet. Overall I've scored it Average based on the comments of my dining companions who were much less impressed than me.

Myself and 11 friends visited Bon Appetito, we called last minute and our reservation was made. The food was amazing, nothing was too much trouble and the atmosphere was lovely. Would definitely return!

Had a very pleasant meal here and all the food was delicious and well-cooked, though maybe presentation was a little lacking. Service was polite and efficient but not particularly friendly - there seemed to be loads of serving staff!! It was surprisingly busy for a Monday night so this helped create a good atmosphere, however it was disappointing that Buon Appetito felt/looked very much like an English pub, certainly not many authentic Italian features!!! We’d have enjoyed it more if the decor, music, etc had transported us to Italy!!!

We visited here as we have just bought a caravan in the area and so are trying a number of places. Friends had recommended it to us and we were not disappointed. Booking over the phone was simple and accommodating, parking available to the rear and Covid measures were in place when we arrived and we were shown to our table promptly. Ambience and decor was modern and felt inviting and there was plenty of staff who although we had different serving staff through the night all were very polite and attentive. The menu had plenty of choice and the food was fresh, tasty and satisfying. The wine list was small but fulfilled our requirements. We were not rushed and the staff ensured we were looked after throughout. Overall very good and is now at the top of our list to return.

I went to Buon Appetito for a birthday celebration, I loved it. The food tasted really good, and the portion sizes were fair. The service was also outstanding, the servers were extremely polite and helpful, and there was always service with a smile. As this was a birthday celebration, we also brought a cake, and asked them to bring it at the end of the meal. They did this happily, and when the time came they brought it with candles in, and also played 'happy birthday' on the sound system. Overall it was a good experience and I would definitely recommend it.

Although my wife was not disappointed with her meal. Garlic mushrooms followed by pork loin in onion gravy. I though the quality of my salmon fishcakes poor and not certainly not home made. The main, seafood risotto, lacked any deep flavour, it was predominated by mussels, the squid rings added very little. Two prawns completed the dish.If we visited again I'd avoid the Italian dishes. If the risotto was anything to go by, they lack authenticity.

Nipped in for a quick New Year's Eve lunch as we were passing. Great freshly-baked garlic bread, spot-on pasta, and a fine lemon sorbet/limoncello dessert. Service attentive, but not overbearing. (Had water/bottled beer; can't comment on the wine list.) Rocks the former pub vibe very well -- neither too much of it, nor too little.

Yet again fantastic food and service, wouldn't hesitate to recommend, seven of us eating and two for just a drink everyone more than happy with what they got the staff were very professional and friendly even brought out plates napkins and Falk's for the birthday cake that we were aloud to bring with us,thanks to all at Buon Appetito.

After multiple visits and visiting other similar Italians in the area this has to be the best. The cost in comparison with the food you get is very fair. I may of been a little out of touch with my last review and have since been educated. I have also since been on a lunch time which is very good value for money. The staff as always are great and I will defiantly be back.

Terrible service, wouldn't even give this a 1 star review we arrived today as a party of 10 sat on the tables out side and got told by the very rude member of staff that we basically couldn't eat here because we took up too many tables baring in mind there was only two other tables occupied after the rude response from the member of staff we left,he then proceeded to call us to the people sitting at the other tables,this restaurant obviously don't need the custom!

We have been coming to this restaurant for over 6 years and it is always great quality and excellent service. The 2 owners are always extremely welcoming and the waiting staff are friendly and accommodating which makes all the difference. The pasta and pizza are great staples but the specials are always changing and provide a lot of variety. The atmosphere is easy going and relaxed.

The food here is good the atmosphere and staff are great but the price is slightly high for traditional Italian food which in essence should be fresh, simple, delicious and affordable. I can understand the pricing they are busy why charge less I just felt it was a touch over priced also no draft beer or larger something which topeateries would always provide

This restaurant is in a lovely setting. Outside seating is ample. The staff were very friendly and basically I loved it. It may of been happy hour but our food was plentiful, hot and so tasty, good selection of drinks. Definitely one to return to x

Having left the area our trips to this utterly fantastic Italian restaurant have unfortunately become a rare treat. I can taste that Pizza Mare as I type this! Thanks to everyone who has helped this place be the best. PS. Are you sure you won't open a branch in West Sussex!

We visited on a Wednesday evening and were surprised at how full it was. Luckily they were able to squeeze us in, because the food was excellent, and very reasonable priced. Will definitely visit again if we are in the area.

Booked here as a party of 17 for 5.30 on Friday tea time, some arriving from 5pm and ordering drinks while waiting for others to arrive, started ordering food at 5.50 but management would not honour happy hour price as he said it was past 6pm (said he would check cctv but never did ) terrible attitude towards his customers, even after spending £450 and he was quite happy taking our £5 a bottle for drinks when we arrived early!! Food was only average too so would not take my business there again to someone who treats customers like that....

Recently re-visited this brilliant Italian restaurant on a trip back up north having re-located down south a couple of years ago. It was fantastic to see the standards/quality as good as our last visit. We seriously could not name a better Italian restaurant in the country than this one...........

Lovely Italian restaurant. Food was good and service excellent. We had starters of garlic mushrooms and green olives and bread.My wife had a pepperoni pizza for her main course and I had a chicken dish with parma ham, cheese and tomato accompanied by home made chips.

Great little find, fantastic food and great service and atmosphere. Enjoy pizza and hake. Highly recommended.
