Bunreal Burger Bar in Newry and Mourne

In the past I've always rated bunreal but after today's disgusting lunch I couldn't possibly go back, at 3.30 on a Saturday afternoon, I ordered a cheese burger, a side of mac and cheese and a peppercorn sauce and it was £17, which was alarming, but thought hey ho, it's a treat... The chap working looking like he couldn't give a toss in general. The cheese burger was undercooked, no char and no flavour and certainly no frills, I've had a better macdonalds happy meal, and that's saying something, that went straight in the bin, the mac in cheese was completely tasteless apart from the tobacco onions on top which to be honest was rank and shouldn't be on a mac and cheese, was horrified to find chicken in it, 2 small pieces, which was inedible and not cooked. The best thing was the peppercorn sauce, I've got to say I'm left feeling ripped off and underwhelmed. This place has gone downhill and overall I just feel robbed and was left feeling hungry 😢

Brilliant restaurant, great gluten free options and was also able to cater for milk and egg free options. Really helpful and discussed what we could/ couldn’t eat. Great prices too.

Up there with one of the worst places I have ate from. Food bad and staff even worse. Not friendly at all, made it seem like they didn’t want me to order. Found a hair in my food to add the icing to this review. Not happy.

A relaxed spot. Friendly & welcoming staff. Unfortunately they were sold out of chicken fillet burgers when we were there - which I guess is a good sign!. I had one of their smash burgers and kids had chicken goujons & chips. Chips were thin and crispy and went down a treat as did my burger. I'll give it another whirl.

Unreal.. There was a queue, but there was a reason. Worth the wait.... highly recommend. Very fresh food and reasonably priced

My husband was recommended this place from a work colleague and he was not disappointed. He loved the burger and fries and the sauce. I’m not a big burger fan so it was just ok for me but the food is fresh and not frozen like other chippy. Reasonably priced, good portions.

Friendly helpful staff. Good service and delicious burgers. The fries were dry and crispy, just how I like them, big portions and great value for money. I would highly recommend a visit to Bunreal.

Had the chicken burger and fries today. Very skimpy with the lettuce and coleslaw. Overall very dry and mediocre. Ordered two slices of cheese on both, neither had it on when we got to the car to eat, which was infuriating. My partner found not one, but two beard or pubic hairs in hers, so that sucked and she didn't eat. I was mortified to go back and complain whilst so busy. Chips were mediocre, wasn't given choice of salt as is the custom at Bunreal, so got very lightly salted chips that were dry and boring. This is my third visit here. First time was 3 years ago and was fantastic. Had a disappointing visit about a year ago, but agreed to try the chicken burger as we were out and about and very hungry. The final insult was that we were also given not one napkin to wipe our greasy hands. Needless to say, we didn't finish anything after spotting the mystery hairs. 15 bloomin' quid too. Pish.

Absolutely love this place. The burgers are out of this world. Everything down to the chips are great. Fairly expensive but I think worth it.

I had been hearing good things about this little place and I have to say it didn't disappoint. Firstly the app for placing delivery orders very simple to use selection your options and pay. Delivery itself was 3.50 and driver arrived earlier that I requested and food was still warm and drinks still cold. The food itself what can I say I really enjoyed it the burger was tasty, the chicken wings were tender and morish, the amore chips were good although I would have preferred grated cheeder cheese to the processed cheese slices type stuff but that was a minor quibble in an overall good meal Definitely recommend it one of the best if not thee best takeaway experience I have had in Newry from start to finish

Had the £15 meal deal which is two burgers, 2 portions of fries, wings and 2 cans of mineral. The burgers were the best I have tasted. Fresh & succulent they are worth the visit alone. Fries are good as well. I have marked it down for two reasons.......the wings while spicy are very very small. Service was also quite slow in that it took approximate 30 minutes to be ready however it was incredibly fresh. If the wings were bigger I would look past the slow service and give it a five star

Gorgeous burgers and their menu is only getting bigger! Their homemade sauce is worth a try. It's always busy no matter when we visit which says something!

Four of us arrived in this small trendy Burger Bar at 2.30pm on a Friday. The place was full. We waited for our seat, not too long. There was a small wait for our order we didn't mind as we know these burgers are freshly made with local produce. We were starving and i couldn't wate to tuck into my double cheese burger. The partners had the massive 234 Burger. We all agreed that it hit the spot. We left feeling full and arranging to go back. Its a lively place with Eco friendly packaging and napkins and a support in local small businesses. This is a big plus
