Hot food was almost cold. Cooler drink was 80% ice for £5. Waited a long time for our food to come out and I can live with that if it’s worth the wait, which it was not. Left a lot of our dishes and exited almost as hungry as when we’d arrived.

It’s good place to try Indian food in you’re not an Indian but if you’re an Indian you definitely don’t want to go there! The service is real friendly but the cost of food, portion of it and the taste of it isn’t worth it at all! Lasssi and far far was on point whereas the other dishes were not even 2.0!

Regular customer here and every time I’ve been I’ve been very happy with the food, service and atmosphere. In general I’m a big meat-eater, and the menu here is entirely vegetarian. Don’t be put off by this (if you too like your meat) because it is absolutely delicious

Indian food restaurant in Liverpool. We ate the following dishes: Dal tadka rice and kadai paneer with bhatura, they were very good. The environment is well decorated, airy, fun and colorful, with a vintage Indian vibe. Orders are placed at the bar. The price is fair. All dishes are vegan or vegetarian. Thanks!

I've just come back from a very disappointing dining experience. After being in town to pick up some bits in town, I thought I'd give bundobust a go. I wish I hadn't bothered. The food took forever to arrive. When it finally did finally arrive it was distinctly average and pretty bland. After reading good things about bundobust I wish I had saved my money and gone pretty much anywhere else. Mowgli is further up bold street and I highly recommend people go there instead of here. Highly disappointed and won't be going back.

Nice spot for Indian street food and craft beer. The place opens up into a vast area with long tables and benches giving a feel of typical canteens in India. There wasn't anything that was actually spicy in my opinion. However, Bhatura / Puri / parathas with chole saag, pav bhaji, okra fries and house chai are among our regular choices. Egg burji had loads of green peas in it which I did not like much.

Great food and friendly service, as I have come to expect from this chain. I was pleased to learn that the Liverpool restaurant is just as nice as the Manchester one but, for a Saturday afternoon, was decidedly less busy! I always get the vada pav and it never disappoints. The smacked khakri is a more recent and equally tasty favourite.

I've lost count of how many times I've been to Bundo... used to live in Leeds, have family/friends in Manc, and now live in Liverpool so have had the luck of visiting all Bundos on several occasions. Liverpool is my fave! We came for the indo-mexican menu for the second time, all of it was incredible especially the tacos! The service is always great, the atmosphere is always really lively, the food is always insane and the drinks selection is fab (especially since the brewery opened!) and I recommend Bundo to anyone who will listen. If you've never sampled a Vada Pav then it's the ultimate carb on carb combo, you won't regret it. Thank you!

This was a great place to eat 2nd time I've been here. Ordered Mango lasso dazzler a refreshing drink to wash everything down. Palak kofta. Stuffed full of flavour, Delicious Paneer kadai. Delicious the bhatura that came with it was gorgeous, the mixed pepper and tomato sauce was devine. Okra fries with the sauce trio, amazing my favorite, especially the mango sauce. Rice lovely and light. Dhokla tamales, a promotional dish a mix between Indian and Mexican, a bit of a let down, dough was rather dry. Staff was absolutely about it and offered me somthing else instead. Will defiantly be coming back at some point.

New favourite restaurant! Staff were really friendly and we got a table by the window because we booked a table. Order your food and drinks at the bar. Spoilt for choice with the food menu - so many good options! We ordered 6 dishes to share between two which was a sensible amount. The okra fries and the paratha and thepla were the standouts for us - so good! Can’t not mention the vada pav too - a mashed potato butty! Decent beer and cocktail selection. Nice atmosphere. A friend had suggested we give it a try. We liked the small plate concept. And food was good - though on the hot (spicy) side. (We were going to share dishes but my wife found the Bhaji butty too hot for her liking.) What let's it down is accesabolotu or lack of it. The restaurant is upstairs. As a disabled person I just about managed to walk up. In this day and age how can a restaurant be allowed to operate when it discriminates against disabled people?

Our third visit to Liverpool Bundobust. We ordered the combo for 4 which was tasty and just about the right amount of food. It wasn't until we had finished and noticed that an adjacent table had ordered the same, that we had been missing the cucumber dish (smacked khakri). We ordered two kulfi for dessert but it took 20 minutes for them to arrive and we had to ask where they were. Overall, the service wasn't great considering how many staff members there seemed to be floating around and compared with previous visits we were disappointed. Not likely to return any time soon.

The food was good overall, the best things that we had were the okra fries and the vada pav. There wasn't anything spicy for me unfortunately but all the flavors were solid. The paratha was ok, the chutney and achar pickle that came with the dish was not great and the smoked khakri was just cucumber with a bit of vinegar, not worth the price that you pay for on that end. This place is a great vegetarian option though since I don't believe anything on the menu has meat in it. However the outstanding aspect of this place for me was the service and the team members, they were all extremely considerate and it was nice seeing how they interacted with the other customers. Overall rating I would give would be 3.5/5

WE LOVE BUNDOBUST Everything about the Liverpool Bundobust we love. The food is tasty and is great value for money. The restaurant is big, bright and airy and caters for large numbers often at short notice but would recommend booking so as not to be disappointed. What do we love the most about Bundobust. Well we love the staff. They are all hardworking and always do their best to accommodate us. We have been coming here since it opened on Bold Street in 2019. We bring friends and family and they all love it too. It’s our local go to for pick me up Indian street food and it never disappoints. The food orders come out quickly depending on numbers in the restaurant and the special bonus is that its all vegetarian or vegan so its wonderful to be able to chose anything on the menu. My favourite is Paneer Kadai and my husband’s is Paneer Tikka and Chole Saag and he loves the large choice of craft ales and his favourite is the Chiatro Stout Special call out to Alex, Erin, Mat, who are part of a wonderful and friendly team who we know and respect.

Had been to Manchester bandobust in 2017/2018 prepandemic and really enjoyed the food and the prices complemented the food and the taste of the food. Maybe things have changed since pandemic but Liverpool had limited options. Ordered Kachori on menu which was not Kachori (more like allu tikki), the Gobi manchurian was really bad (Indian Gobi manchurian is amazing but this one was really bad), the batura was flat and looked doughy (batura should be crisp and fluffy, not flat and look like dough soaked in oil), paneer tikka was edible but not the best. We did order many other dishes and were not impressed as food was given wrong names. Going to drinks, chai was alright. Watermelon margarita it’s priced at £7 was a joke, 18cl glass was filled with ice cube and pink colour Lemonade added, tasted nothing like watermelon (I had only ordered this was really thirty and was expecting watermelon juice margarita and not just ice cubes) Needless to say, the quality has deteriorated since last 5/6 yrs when was a place to have truly authentic Indian street food. Has become more of a money making business now I feel.

We went to Bundobust today for lunch after hearing such good things about it for so long. I am newly vegan and the food here didn’t disappoint. I had the bajhi butty and it was gorgeous. Definitely buy the trio of dips too as they’re lively and complement any dish from the menu. My husband had a mango lassi to drink, which he enjoyed and I had a vegan chai (spicy and delicious). The only downside was the service. There were a few very large tables sat down while we were there so the food took a little longer, this is just the luck of the draw and only reflects positively on the quality of the restaurant itself. However, I’d ordered a vegan chai hot drink, which wasn’t given to my husband when he got his drink from the bar while ordering. We waited about 10/15 minutes for someone to bring it over. My husband went to the bar to ask about it and the girl behind the bar said that it comes from the kitchen so we just thought maybe it would come with the food. After about half an hour since being served, we asked a member of staff how much longer food would be. She said the big tables were finished and the food would be out soon. I asked if I could have my chai latte, which she brought out very quickly (I’m talking within a minute). This kind of annoyed me more because I was sat there starving and could have been drinking that while I was waiting for the last half an hour. The girl at the bar could have easily got it when my husband asked 20 minutes earlier. We had also ordered a ‘while you wait’ dish of poppadoms and sauce, which just came out with the meal. Again, we could have been waiting that while we waited for the main dish. There was no checking in from any of the wait staff, who weren’t really rushed off their feet as the big tables food all came out at the same time so they had plenty of dead time to check on other customers etc or even just say when we walked in that there’s a 30 min wait on food so we could make the decision ourselves. Overall I’d still give this a 4 star rating because the food was amazing and the vegan chai was the best thing I’ve ever drank! The staff were all very nice if not just a bit off the ball and overly chill about the service.

We love this place. Excellent brunch menu and friendly service in a comfortable, calm environment. The only improvement would be to have some sweet options available with coffee.
