Although the shop was less than half full the wait time to place an order was half hour. The young staff were inexperienced at customer service and made the process of ordering laborious. The bubble tea, quite frankly, was not of good enough quality to make up for the service and wait time The music playing was not only not in keeping with the product ( heavy bass rap style) but also full of obscene lyrics and too loud for the small shop. I can see what they are trying to achieve but they've missed the mark. Would not revisit in a month of Sundays. On a side note shop appeared to have a fly problem...

Bubble tea in proper Asian stores is fantastic and oriental service is top. In Clacton, young boys and girls are very slow, get the order wrong, as the till has a glitch!!OMG I spend good part of an hour trying to get 3 drinks, they got it wrong and then, didnt taste that good as the Asian ones. Need huge improvements and, to the young boy making the drinks: STOP TOUCHING YOUR FACING AND AT LEAST WASH YOUR HANDS AFTER, AND WEAR A MASK!

We decided to order a takeaway to help celebrate a couple of things that had happened recently. Booked the delivery for the early evening, and had no difficulty placing the order. However, the delivery time came and went, with no delivery. British India had my phone number so could have contacted to say it was running late (but didn't). I gave them a quarter of an hour and rang to check on how it was doing. The lady I spoke to was quite brusque and offered no apology for it being late-just that it was "leaving now". To be fair, it was with us within a few minutes (we're about 5 minutes drive away). Unfortunately, the "award winning bhajis" (of which were only 3 and really quite small) were cold and hanging in grease. Practically inedible, tbh. The meat in one of the curries was tough, and the naan bread was also barely warm when I took it out of the bag. Given the award winning status of the restaurant, I found the food to be not worth the money, particularly in view of how expensive it all was. Unfortunately, I don't think we will go back.
