Bubba Oasis in Islington

Rubbish experience, i feel like we wasted our money; my coffee wasn't hot, our diet coke was flat (replaced with another flat one) and food took ages to come out but when we asked how much longer, it was brought out straight away...cold, i guess it had been sitting in the kitchen for a while. The toilets made me feel like I needed a bath straight after and felt like i was risking injuring my child shile changing her nappy as the changing facility didn't feel stable.

The team at Bubba Oasis Upper St looked after our private party booking exceptionally well. From the beginning planning stages right up to execution on the night. Highly recommend this venue and would most definitely use them again.

What a clueless management this place has. We arrived just after 7 pm, ordered our drinks, only to find out that the music inside was to get 30 times louder with zero warning. I am autistic and I do select places based on their sensorial stimuli. The clueless service staff didn't even pay attention to my query (I spoke to two people) and sent us up to the rooftop - They should have apologised immediately and asked how to resolve it. The music was so loud that it distressed me tremendously - I couldn't even stop stimming and crying. Had to leave within minutes (the bartender, admittedly, was very nice and apologetic on our way out.)

I love this place-definitely my local spot. We love the vibes and use the space to work remotely, have team catch ups as well as just chill out after work/lunch. The team are always so lovely and friendly- special shout out to Nikki who always has our vanilla matcha ready!

Very unorganised and unprofessional promoter and management. My brother was booked to perform at Bubba Oasis, he is an artist. The promoter had booked him to perform at 8pm. We arrived early in a group, some of our friends had come from out of London specially for the show. Everyone bought tickets. When it came to 8pm, the promoter couldn't find the mic. So the performance was delayed. We waited and waited, spent over £100 on drinks. We spoke to the manager/owner around 10pm and he just decided that he wouldn't let my bro perform! Avoid doing business with these guys. They only care about making money at the bar.

Very nice vibe upstairs, great music and all staff were extremely friendly and polite. I was seated and served by Alex who recommended some affordable and tasty cocktails.

I feel this place would might have scored better if it had been better staffed... We weren't greeted when we came in, we just had to find a place to seat ourselves, including pulling 2 tables together. There was a large birthday party upstairs but only 2 members of staff below, so when the party spilled over to downstairs, the staff were swamped- guests even went behind the bar to serve themselves as they were bored of waiting. Our food was heavily delayed, but we weren't informed of this for quite some time. The food was good, and I was curious about this place having walked past it on a Saturday afternoon a few times, so maybe I'd try it again, but I'd check to see if there is a private event going on again, and how well staffed they are beforehand.

I recently visited a bar on Upper Street and had an amazing time. The open-plan area creates a spacious and welcoming atmosphere, perfectly complemented by fantastic old school R&B music playing throughout the venue. The vibe was lively and enjoyable. One of the highlights is the roof garden at the back on the first floor, offering a charming spot to relax and enjoy your drinks. The bar staff were exceptional, especially Dre, who went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. Overall, it’s a great place to hang out with friends and soak in the vibrant ambiance. Highly recommended!

Came for bottomless brunch. We were all late but Isabella kept the table for us and gave us OUTSTANDING service. She looked after us so well, topping up our drinks constantly (we never had to ask for more, they were on top of everything!) Thank you Bubba Oasis and specifically Isabella for making our day so special! X

We had our work Summer Party here on Friday and it was amazing! Lily was super helpful in all the planning and preparation and put together exactly what we had asked for. The bar staff were great and super friendly (special shout out to Jonny and Davide), the DJ both upstairs on the roof terrace and downstairs were also super good. I didnt eat here just came for the drinks and vibes on the terrace. This is a good spot for a nice summers day. There was a dj, drinks and good vibes. The downstairs bar is also nice. Staff are very friendly and welcoming.

AWESOME rooftop vibes! We had an event here for 25 people, the staff was incredibly kind and helpful. The food was fresh and tasty, and the rooftop vibes were fantastic. Great DJ and atmosphere all in all, highly recommend for brunch or dinner. Also downstairs gets super vibey in the evenings too. 👌

I found this place randomly while looking for a café'. The service and atmosphere were incredible and the coffee was really good. Very recommended if you want to chill with friends or work with your laptop. Very good Wi-Fi too!

This supposed work space in central london / angel says it opens at 9am…I planned my day to start work promptly and despite two staff being inside the shop, to my surprise was informed it actually opens in 10-15 minutes. May i please remind management to update their online opening time to 9.15am and also a kind reminder that this is london not the french riviera, most people enjoy having a productive day and starting work early.

I come in the morning or afternoon to rest and recuperate with a coffe on the lovely sofa. Please do not change the relaxed daytime atmosphere. Its like a mini sanctuary

This place could be so awesome if they would hire more staff! Poor Nikki was working realllly hard to accommodate a full cafe by herself but it wasn’t really possible. Whomever owns this place needs to take better care of their workers.

They fraudulently add service charges to drinks and are racist to non-black ethnicities. I literally cant believe what I experienced in this day and age!.... The place was pretty empty but a group of people were hanging around the entrance so we tried to enter but one security guard stopped us and said the manager would have to check. The manager or supervisor person looked at us and then said no, so we questioned this for a while and then they said they would have to wait for the security boss to approve entry. Meanwhile the group next to us whose attire varied from smart to roadmen with faces covered were allowed in. We were finally allowed in after 10 minutes and a group of girls at the bars who were clearly regulars said "why are you here?". I did not say anything to them prior but they made it quite clear what their message was meaning. There were no menus for drinks so we just asked what they had and the price, we then tapped our card on the reader thrusted towards us and later noticed it was more then what was stated. It turns out they just add service charge for literally doing their own jobs and it wasnt listed anywhere? No one was eating food it was very much a bar environment so why are they adding this scam charge? The fact it was not clearly stated anywhere is fraud and what service was even being provided above what the bar staffs job is? I had to stand and wait at the bar so at what point do they deserve a tip? After finishing the overpriced drinks my partner went to que for the toilet upstairs and the other ladies eyed her up and said "do you think you should be here?", to which she then had to look for another toilet out of fear and to avoid conflict. She found the disabled toilets which turns out they use as a cloakroom! They also try and sell absolutely trash artwork which is clearly done by whatever cretin owns the place. Who is paying over £1k for some artwork that looks like it was done by a GCSE art student. Absolute disgrace of a place.

I found this place like a complex vibe as you can have dinner/date/group of friends night also nice place to have lunch. Sofas was so comfy, decoration was nice, I particularly loved the big mirror and paintings. We went there on Monday so the place was almost empty but the bartender was so kind and friendly. It's definitely worth it to go.

Friendly welcome, ok for a late snack. It's good but not crazy either. Very nice decoration. Be careful, the brunch options end at 4 p.m. (it was 4:15 p.m. when we ordered, too bad for us). Downside: somewhat noisy place.

Celebrated my Girlfriend’s Birthday her and had a great experience. Special thanks to David for helping us with the cake and plates!

Girl was friendly when we arrived but after a while I asked why it had got so cold and was told there was no heating. We'd agreed to eat there and friends were coming and the menu looked good. A new guy started and the girl left. My order was forgotten so ended up eating after everyone, after eating a bit of my food realised the inside of my food was raw so couldn't finish it. Server had no interest in serving at all. Ended up asking for a refund as really disappointed with my experience. Def won't be coming back.

Thanks so much Lily, Rob, Johnny, Emiljano and Bella and all the chefs for such an amazing Christmas party the atmosphere was top tier and the DJ was amazing. Everyone had a great time and is raving about how incredible the food was and especially for 70 people. Really great that the food was halal and dietary requirements were taken care of. Loved that you guys went above and beyond in taking care of us. You guys hit it out of the park!

Definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to enjoy different styles of cocktails, the food is good and it's really one of my fave spots in London it's so cozy. Might I add, the staff are great, shout out to Nikki and Bella every time I come they're honestly super helpful and sweet. Great place!

Such a cosy homely place! The food is so tasty (the Caesar salad portion is amazing) and the bartenders service is so lovely. Big shout out to Armando for the speedy service and amazing cocktails. Would definitely recommend for lunch or just catch ups with friends !!

Visited last night and the bar service is a complete scam. Every time we ordered drinks at the bar a 12.5% service charge was added so a coke and a pint came to £11.25. When I questioned the price I was told that a coke was £3.50. My boyfriend went back to the bar and was told that this service charged had in fact been added. This happened repeatedly throughout the night to people I was with, including one point when someone specifically asked to remove the service but the bar staff continued to add it anyway and took repeated asking to remove it. Ordering at a bar, without a menu that notifies this and then further not telling the customer is a complete scam. Two cocktails came to £26 and they were poured from a pre mixed bottle. Not to mention, paying service for ordering a drink at the bar??

Ordered two drinks, was given three. Told I could come back later by a very friendly woman who said she was managing. Looked for her later to get said drink, couldn't find her and was accused of being a liar and swore at by a short guy who said he was the manager. Most unpleasant barman I've come across in my life.

As far as a vibe goes in London, this spot is it. Favourite bartender is easily Davide. These cocktails are lethal.

I have visited for breakfast, lunch and evening drinks since Bubba opened. I was made to feel very welcome by the lovely Beth at breakfast who couldn’t do enough for me. The evening staff were also very welcoming and friendly. Food is good and reasonably priced x

Been to Bubba a few times and really enjoy the atmosphere of the place! The staff are very nice, when I come on the weekends there’s a lovely bartender named Isabella who is always rushed off her feet working so hard and she makes drinks pretty fast which is great! Overall great vibes
