Brown Sugar Caribbean Takeaway Leeds in Leeds

Ordered online took money out of my bank but never confirmed the order and nobody answering the phone

Placed my order at 5,45pm im still sat waiting for it now at 8,23pm money been took straight out bank over £30 i can not email anyone to get money back, tried ringing shop over 10 times no answer so obviously your shop is shut! How do i get my money back!?

Service was friendly & polite, the fried dumplings.. 'fluffy, soft very nice. The Mains.. Oxtail & Pepper steak meals Unfortunately seamed to lack 'Umpf'../ Seasoning Coupled with an unappealing choice of salad items.. 🙁

Very nice Jamaican food. Authentic and friendly takeaway . Good value too . I have been twice now for my evening meal takeaway .

Ordered on deliveroo at 8pm after an hour of no delivery they just cancelled my order without a word

Sunday 3rd July 2022- It's shame I never got to try the food I ordered. I came to Leeds from Bolton for a tournament and had a look on too good to go. I placed the order for my magic bag, I paid for an Uber to get me here and back however on my arrival there was a sign on the door saying "back in 20". The shop keeper at the shop next door said he'd seen the owner of the shop a woman drive off at least 20 mins prior to me arriving which was within the opening times as I was there for 5:30 and the shop closes at 6. Me and the driver hung around outside this shop for 20 mins and no one returned which meant the shop would only be open for a further 10 mins. I've tried to get my money back from to good to go which is a battle within itself. I have wasted £16.83 in the end on a journey that left me with nothing in the end! I had left a note slipped under the shop owners door. I doubt I'll get back my money either! Not being in shop in your opening hours when people have ordered food is extremely unprofessional! I will keep fighting for my money and I would like the money paid for the Uber I had taken to!

Wah Gwaan! Tried this place today having found it by browsing Google. I won’t lie, I was apprehensive because in my opinion it’s difficult to find somewhere that cooks Caribbean food with the flavours that I became used to from being very young. I needn’t have worried, this place cooked the curry chicken rice & peas exactly how I like it. The chicken melts in your mouth, it’s well seasoned and full of flavour. The rice & peas cooked with coconut creme with plenty of red beans. If you haven’t tried it then do so, the only disappointment is when you’ve eaten it all and want more! Thank you to the lovely young lady behind the counter, I will be back and will pre-order the hard food 😊

Made an order online on a Sunday, Closing times are 6pm. Order was made at 5.10pm paid for and everything, just had to wait for final confirmation of the restaurant, took over 15 mins still no confirmation, rang the restaurant over 5 times, jumped in the car with my 4yr old daughter to see if they have received my order or basically what’s going on, to get there and find the shops shut!! Bearing in mind it’s 5.40pm. So why not state that on the website so it doesn’t waste people times. Haven’t even got to taste the food but I’m already put off by the professionalism of service! Not good guys not good at all!!

The best all round service and Caribbean menu options in Leeds and they have chicken roti! The Mac pie is the best value for money too. Best tasting. If you're thinking to try them out, don't hesitate any further.

No complaint service 5star food 5star, would recommend ordering before getting there to avoid disappointment. The brown stew chicken is beautiful, curried mutton is full of meat and the jerk chicken is awesome. I go to maureens and this is the next best thing. Really close to maureens.

Absolutely amazing food! I had mutton, rice and peas and dumplings and they all tasted unreal! Definitely the place to go for your fix of home cooked Caribbean food! I’ll be back to try the curry goat next time!!
