Had the set meal for 2 - good combination of dishes offered, even given the opportunity to substitute any dishes if wished to do so. Great portion sizes, good quality. Remember cash only.

One of the best takeaways in the area, we have now had several from here, and not had a bad one, very generous portions.

Good food, lovely chow mien and shredded beef. The salt and chilli chips were a let down, but would 100% go again for the beef and noodles!

After trying loads of chinese places in my time ive got to say this one if by far my favourite and is the standard i compare all chinese food to now. Usually get thai red chicken curry, salt & spicy chicken, prawn toast and egg fried rice and it is AMAZING!!!!

This is a takeaway, not a restaurant. The previous time I came here, a few months ago, the food was terrible and I put a report on saying so. However, I believe the owners may have been on holiday and there was a stand in chef. It is only right that after a fantastic meal on Mother's Day that I now correct this. We had 3 main dishes, all of which were very large portions and of excellent quality, with plenty of good meat content. We were given complimentary spring roles which were OK, but were free. Egg fried rice was very good. I am pleased to report that my confidence in this takeaway is now fully restored and I will go back again soon. I would particularly recommend the House Special Chow Mein.

To put simply, this is the best Chinese takeaway in the area. We've tried many different dishes and every one has been great. I can't recommend this place enough.

Very poor meal purchased 2 weeks ago for Father's Day. Several dishes, but all were completely tasteless and had very poor quality meat in them. Will not be going back any time soon. Crispy duck was passable but all main courses were terrible.

Poor food and after service! Got food home, just awful - dried rice and dried meat. Greasy and tasteless! No meat either - don't order this dish!

I have Coeliacs Disease which means I can't process any food mainly containing wheat, gluten and (on the long list) Soy.When I found this out I pretty much wrote of Chinese food as I assumed most would contain soy or wheat (for the batter)Had a major Chinese craving, we had used Yau's before and always been impressed with the food& service. When I called I asked if the sweet and sour contained any soy and the friendly receptionist asked the kitchen. I was told it didn't and also that the batter was made from potato starch and eggs (which meant I could have it!)Order sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style & boiled rice. And it was absolutely gorgeous. Was so good to eat a Chinese after all this time with out feeling ill for a week after eating it. This will be a regular for me now! The food is very tasty and the service is great, when I used to take my children in they would always be given lollipops and the staff are very friendly.

The staff are very welcoming and can't do enough to serve all of your needs. The surroundings are typical Chinese restaurant, and very pleasant. The food is spot on and there's plenty. In my opinion it is quite expensive, but it's always very very busy so it can't be that bad.

I lived in the village for 6 years, and we had been missing a good Chinese. Kawai and the team brought excellent chinese cuisine to a small village. Food is superb, freshly cooked with generous portions. Staff are friendly, polite and willing to help if you require somethings little different to the menu.

Having just moved to the village of Broughton we were a bit sceptical about trying Yau's - but having read some of the reviews on here thought we would give it a bash!We are so glad we did - the food was yummy, good portions for the money. Will definitely be using Yau's again!

We've never had a bad take-away from Yau's. We usually have the same thing but whenever we've tried something different we haven't been disappointed. Also they remember us and what we like. We love it.

Very little substance, very little flavour. Arrived 45 minutes after ordering (take away) and certainly wasn't hot, warm at most. Rather make the trip to brigg.

I have just collected a take away from double dragon scunthorpe, I arrived and the building stunk of weed, the service was poor and the food wasn't edible, I am not one to knock a local business but this is not worth the money I highly advise using a different Chinese takeaway. 0 stars out of 5

Last night I took my 86 year old mum to Water Margin. It was very cold inside, when we were asked if all was ok my mum mentioned it was cold to which she was advised to put a coat on (!) When I said, it is inside and we shouldn't need a coat, the waitress then said- it is England in February so it will be cold! I understand we are all watching heating bills but this was uncomfortable and utterly rude. Two other customers tables heard this to which they were astounded and voiced they wont be back. Neither will we.
