Brothers Restaurant in West Devon

Brothers is always our favourite place to go, either coffee and cake, or a delicious breakfast. Their service is second to none, polite, and nothing is too much trouble. The quality of the food served is amazing. We recommend this place to everyone! Well done all of you!

Fabulous! Booked Brothers for a small family reunion and we were delighted! A good choice on the lunch menu at reasonable prices and when our orders arrived, which was surprisingly quickly, the food was absolutely outstanding. The service was excellent, welcoming, helpful and efficient. Also the restaurant is very stylishly decorated. Very very highly recommended!

For pudding I had the Macedonian baklava which was so good, not too sickly sweet. The staff were friendly & efficient. We were served by Harry, Luca, Simon, Lou & Victoria, all of whom were lovely. However it was very busy & when the restaurant is full, it can get very very noisy as it is only a small place. Booking is essential! Thank you xxx

Me and my partner had dinner at the Brothers restaurant. Really good food, really good atmosphere. We had Hetty, Simon, Luke, Victoria, Lou.

As ever a fabulous brunch. Food is great and the service is friendly and efficient. It was very busy when we were in but didn’t have to wait for drinks or food. Severs were Lou, Betty, Victoria and Simon. Would highly recommend!

We were in Okehampton and fancied some lunch and came across Brothers. The restaurant is really nicely decorated and the staff - Hetty, Lou, Simon, Victoria were very attentive and professional. The food was outstanding and was served piping hot and really delicious. Brothers is very highly recommended if you’re in Okehampton - the evening menu looks great so we’ll be back for dinner soon. Been to Brothers a few times as best restaurant in / around Okehampton. Last night was no exception. Food was really tasty and well cooked. The staff, Hetty, Simon and Lou, were attentive and friendly.

Had a meal there with family last night. Food was lovely - tasty, well cooked, hot and well presented. Staff were friendly and attentive - Hetty, Simon and Lou last night but all staff have been like that every time we have been there. We had 4 different main courses and all were great

Popped in here for lunch with an old friend and was blown away by the quality of the food and the excellent service. We were served by Lou and Simon and at all stages they were attentive and polite. They managed to make sure we had everything we needed without ever crossing the line into bothering us. The food was incredible. I had the Eggs Royale and it was cooked to perfection. My friend was initially disappointed to find that due to an allergy she wouldn’t be able to have what she initially wanted but Lou talked it through and arranged for her Pulled Pork Flat read to be made without allergens. The accompanying coffee was great and the baklava with clotted cream we had afterwards was some of the best baklava I’ve ever eaten. Absolutely outstanding restaurant with beautiful food and incredible service.

Every dish we had was mouth-watering, with quality ingredients and expert cooking shining through. The service was warm, friendly, and attentive, making us feel right at home. Had a lovely meal at brothers during our trip to Okehampton. It was really refreshing to have different types of food on offer with the Macedonian influences. We had a delicious 3 course meal and if we are ever back in the area would definitely return to try some of the other dishes on offer! They were very accommodating and fitted us in for a short notice booking and the service was great from Hetty and Simon who were attentive and fab when I asked for recommendations as I couldn’t choose!

Lou and Simon are running a top notch establishment. Excellent, food, delicious coffee, and exceptional service from the friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Went to Brothers for an early evening meal on a Saturday in March 2025. Waiting staff were all very friendly, polite and attentive (we had Hetty, Simon, Lou and Victoria) despite the fact it was busy because every table in the venue was occupied. The cocktails were well made and food was delicious; the best burger and fries I have had anywhere for a long time! If I lived closer I’d be a regular visitor…

Wonderful. Food was amazing despite been the last people in the restaurant to order. Flavours did not disappoint. Staff friendly and attentive without being over bearing. Great drink recommendations. As visitors to the area would definitely recommend ☺️

We were hovering outside and then had the 'trap door spider' experience, when a lovely blonde young lady sold us the breakfast experience, so we duly entered and were amazed by the quality of the food and the service. One of the customers told us we wouldn't regret being enticed in. We will definitely return the next time we visit Okehampton!

Popped in for coffee, ended up eating lunch followed by delicious cake and cookie. Lou & Simon were nigh on perfect, friendly, polite and very pleasant. Lovely ambience and warm.

Had a lovley meal last night with Hetly, Lou, Simon and Victoria serving everyone. Great friendly customer service, check backs and attentiveness. Good food and great portions -plenty of options on the menu for all.

We dined here both Friday and Saturday evening, and once again, it was an excellent experience. The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, even accommodating a last-minute change to our reservation when family wanted to join us. Big shout out to Hetty, Lou, Simon & Neama. The food is always top-notch, with every dish perfectly prepared. We always make it a point to visit Brothers whenever we're in Okehampton. Highly recommend!

Fantastic place, cosy and warm. Seating is well spaced out, food was delicious I had the steak, eggs and chips. The waiter was amazing, best service I've ever seen, someone who truly believes in giving the best.

Hetty, bea, loui & Simon were excellent! Food was lovely, very fast service. Only thing was sitting by the door so every time anyone entered or left, our menu blew away and it was a very cold draft

Come here often for lunch when family visit they always choose this restaurant to dine in the evening. Staff very warm and accommodating especially Simon and lou food fresh and home cooked and good range of choice. Best coffee in devon too!!

Had a really great Christmas lunch with my fellow researchers in Exeter. The three course lunch was brilliant. Best part was the steak, had rare which was really juicy and delicious. It was also massive which was perfect. The desert was too sweet for me but the prawn cocktail was also great. Would recommend anyone to come here.

Excellent meal last night, 28/12, I had the meze to start, very tasty, and the Selsko for main, again very tasty. Definitely recommend both, also everyone else was very complementary on their dishes. Excellent service as well from Lou, Bea, Hetty and Simon very friendly and attentive. Will definitely return in the New Year.

Delicious Wednesday night date meal. Our servers, Hetty and Simon, were delightful and very attentive. My partner had the burger and I had the seafood gratin; both were delicious. Strong recommend for anyone coming to Okehampton!

The pork fillet and the cheesecake were really good, both Ketty and Simon were spot on providing great service, and the restaurant felt so cosy and welcoming. I look forward to revisit

Lovely cafe on the high street. Servers Hetty,Simon, Lou and Bea were all friendly polite and quick! Had a coffee and brunch - roasted veg on hummus on soda bread - was delicious. Came with a side salad and crisps and under £10 was very reasonable priced. Will definitely visit again

"Brothers" never fails to impress in every way. We've been many times in the evening but this was our first time for lunch. As always, the food was divine and the service first class. Lou and Simon looked after us very well today. Thank you for a superb meal.

Planned on stopping at the Fountain Inn Okehampton as we had eaten there before but it was closed. Found Brothers by pure accident, what a find! An excellent breakfast served by lovely staff, Lou, Hetty, Simon and Bea and a proper cup of tea! Faultless

Our first visit to Brothers, but not our last. The food was delicious and steaks were divine. The service and atmosphere was welcoming. I can’t compliment the staff enough, all of them were friendly and helpful. I would recommend going to Brothers and make sure you get the Mezze.

This is about the fifth time we have been to this restaurant and every time the food has been exceptional. Full of flavour and cooked to perfection. This time we went on Tuesday which is their Italian night and the food choices were perfect for the evening. Most times we have been served by Simon who is always friendly and attentive. Staying in the area for a few days and this is bay far one of the best breakfasts I’ve had in a long time. The food was well cooked and presented and not swimming in oil. The venue is fantastic, comfortable, lots of space and nicely set out decor. The staff were BRILLIANT - service with a smile always, incredibly friendly and sweet and efficiency of the highest standard. Practically no waiting time on food, when asking for the bill it was presented swiftly and friendly. Very very very highly recommended to eat out here - park in the paid for parking at Co-op 1 minute away.

As a casual Saturday night ‘walk in’ we received a very warm welcome, great table and attentive service from all of the staff at The Brothers restaurant ! When a lovely spot! Great menu choice with quality ingredients prepared with flair by the chefs to produce flavourful mains plates (sea bass and steak) and exceptional homemade biscotti cheesecake desert. Quality wines and good choice of local beers and lager along with extensive cocktail and drinks menu. A great atmosphere added to a wonderful evening ! Thank you so very much. You are missing out if you don’t try this lovely gem of a restaurant.

Epic restaurant! Such a fantastic asset to Okehampton. The staff were welcoming, efficient and friendly. The food was incredible. Super tasty and plenty to choose from. This is actually my 3rd visit in the space of 2 months! Firstly, we came as a small group for breakfast and had the ‘Brothers small breakfast’. Delicious, hot and plentiful. A friend and I then came back for an evening meal and I opted for the Seafood Gratin and the legendary Baklava for pudding, both were fantastic! Finally, last weekend my Husband and friend visited for lunch and chose the ‘Brothers Burger’. YUM! LOVE this place and will be visiting again very soon! Highly recommend!

First time here, great menu, great food, great service. Lovely find in okehampton good job by all. Worth a trip, the baklava was epic! Reminded me of trips to Greece when I was little.

Wow! Super smashed burger with awesome buns and crispy fries! If you're looking for a natural taste, you've come to the right place. Not too over-seasoned or too salty. The waitresses are very nice and always on hand.

Went here based on the reviews and that we love Mediterranean food Please don’t go here if you have allergies! My husband is allergic to cheese the girl who sat us and gave us menu’s asked about allergies, the girl who took the order didn’t know anything about allergies! Anyway food ordered, my food came so hot from being left under the grill too long that my husband had nearly finished his meal before I could start mine, the food was very good though The problem with this restaurant is that they have crammed so many tables in ( you are only 6” from tables around you) that it’s so noisy you can’t speak to the people you are with because you can’t hear them it’s awful you can’t relax and have a nice meal with people shouting around you I’m afraid so disappointed , the next problem is because there are so many people in there it’s too hot but you can’t open the door because of the road, then there is the staffing issues there are so many of them walking around doing nothing but not one asked if the food is ok ? I’m afraid we won’t be back

Great lil place this! The pork belly bites are next level! If I was a badman on death row, my last meal would be a bucket of those fatty lil crispy bois!! The steaks are great too 👌

Visited here recently , part of a family group. We pre ordered our food. The service was very good, the staff very polite, Our hot food was presented to us on hot plates, always a bonus, and was delicious. They were decent size portions too. The size of the shop frontage appears small compared with the space inside. Will definitely visit again, if we are in the area
