"Brothers" never fails to impress in every way. We've been many times in the evening but this was our first time for lunch. As always, the food was divine and the service first class. Lou and Simon looked after us very well today. Thank you for a superb meal.

Planned on stopping at the Fountain Inn Okehampton as we had eaten there before but it was closed. Found Brothers by pure accident, what a find! An excellent breakfast served by lovely staff, Lou, Hetty, Simon and Bea and a proper cup of tea! Faultless

Our first visit to Brothers, but not our last. The food was delicious and steaks were divine. The service and atmosphere was welcoming. I can’t compliment the staff enough, all of them were friendly and helpful. I would recommend going to Brothers and make sure you get the Mezze.

This is about the fifth time we have been to this restaurant and every time the food has been exceptional. Full of flavour and cooked to perfection. This time we went on Tuesday which is their Italian night and the food choices were perfect for the evening. Most times we have been served by Simon who is always friendly and attentive. Staying in the area for a few days and this is bay far one of the best breakfasts I’ve had in a long time. The food was well cooked and presented and not swimming in oil. The venue is fantastic, comfortable, lots of space and nicely set out decor. The staff were BRILLIANT - service with a smile always, incredibly friendly and sweet and efficiency of the highest standard. Practically no waiting time on food, when asking for the bill it was presented swiftly and friendly. Very very very highly recommended to eat out here - park in the paid for parking at Co-op 1 minute away.

As a casual Saturday night ‘walk in’ we received a very warm welcome, great table and attentive service from all of the staff at The Brothers restaurant ! When a lovely spot! Great menu choice with quality ingredients prepared with flair by the chefs to produce flavourful mains plates (sea bass and steak) and exceptional homemade biscotti cheesecake desert. Quality wines and good choice of local beers and lager along with extensive cocktail and drinks menu. A great atmosphere added to a wonderful evening ! Thank you so very much. You are missing out if you don’t try this lovely gem of a restaurant.

Popped in whilst visiting Okehampton, just a pity I'm staying nearly an hour away otherwise I would be be visiting again. Great tasting food, good portion sizes too and friendly service.

My absolute favourite place to eat, the steak is to die for, and the staff are so welcoming, and if your feeling adventurous the cocktails go down very easy and taste exquisite. Highly recommend

Delicious brunch here today! The staff were so lovely. Hetty mainly served us and was super sweet but all staff were great & very attentive. If we lived closer we’d certainly go all the time!! 🩷🤩

Epic restaurant! Such a fantastic asset to Okehampton. The staff were welcoming, efficient and friendly. The food was incredible. Super tasty and plenty to choose from. This is actually my 3rd visit in the space of 2 months! Firstly, we came as a small group for breakfast and had the ‘Brothers small breakfast’. Delicious, hot and plentiful. A friend and I then came back for an evening meal and I opted for the Seafood Gratin and the legendary Baklava for pudding, both were fantastic! Finally, last weekend my Husband and friend visited for lunch and chose the ‘Brothers Burger’. YUM! LOVE this place and will be visiting again very soon! Highly recommend!

First time here, great menu, great food, great service. Lovely find in okehampton good job by all. Worth a trip, the baklava was epic! Reminded me of trips to Greece when I was little.

Wow! Super smashed burger with awesome buns and crispy fries! If you're looking for a natural taste, you've come to the right place. Not too over-seasoned or too salty. The waitresses are very nice and always on hand.

Went here based on the reviews and that we love Mediterranean food Please don’t go here if you have allergies! My husband is allergic to cheese the girl who sat us and gave us menu’s asked about allergies, the girl who took the order didn’t know anything about allergies! Anyway food ordered, my food came so hot from being left under the grill too long that my husband had nearly finished his meal before I could start mine, the food was very good though The problem with this restaurant is that they have crammed so many tables in ( you are only 6” from tables around you) that it’s so noisy you can’t speak to the people you are with because you can’t hear them it’s awful you can’t relax and have a nice meal with people shouting around you I’m afraid so disappointed , the next problem is because there are so many people in there it’s too hot but you can’t open the door because of the road, then there is the staffing issues there are so many of them walking around doing nothing but not one asked if the food is ok ? I’m afraid we won’t be back

Great lil place this! The pork belly bites are next level! If I was a badman on death row, my last meal would be a bucket of those fatty lil crispy bois!! The steaks are great too 👌

We were a large group of 8 today. Food was very nice, great value. Staff very helpful and patient with our disorganised and slightly chaotic group.

Great food lovely friendly staff...Best steak sauces ever tasted

Visited here recently , part of a family group. We pre ordered our food. The service was very good, the staff very polite, Our hot food was presented to us on hot plates, always a bonus, and was delicious. They were decent size portions too. The size of the shop frontage appears small compared with the space inside. Will definitely visit again, if we are in the area

Sirloin Steak. If this was as tender as the rump earlier in the week I was in for a treat. I wasn’t disappointed. I can honestly say that was the best steak ever. Cooked to Med’ Rare perfection. Melts in your mouth and the flavour was amazing. Drinks…… a good range of local beers and some great cocktails too. Friendly smiley service. Great atmosphere and reasonably priced. 10/10

Fantastic food and exceptional service from Simon! We have been a couple of times and have been impressed every single visit. They also do all of their sauces and fries gluten free with a GF bread too! Shame we had to listen to the manager unnecessarily swearing to one of the staff members for an incredibly innocent mistake though.

Dined here with a large pre-booked group recently on a weekend away and had a lovely night. Food was good, service staff were excellent and a they catered really well for the size of the group. Would definitely go again if ever in the neighbourhood.

It says on there website Our dog friendly, family run Restaurant/Kitchen & Lounge is open for coffee & cake, lunch and dinner So I booked in with my walking group and my dog to go for evening meal on arrival told they only dog friendly when they want be not in evening and I got asked leave and refund me told me leave so I would not belive what it says dog friendly they certainly not

This our default place to go in Okehampton, the staff are amazing and the food is always top notch. Any chance we get for a business breakfast or an after work meal, Brothers is our destination of choice!

I’ve been a few times and always received great service and delicious food, they have an Italian night on Tuesday which is good. Had an Xmas meal last night and was not disappointed. They always have plenty of staff who are all very professional and super polite.

Really great service, food was good, great attention to detail by all staff. Felt as though they really appreciated serving us.

I had the seabass fillets which was ok apart from quite a few bones. My friend had the posh burger which was half a hard and chewy baguette with 1 seabass fillet inside which was full of bones. Not what you want in a burger. To be fair they didn't charge for that dish but she hardly touched it and left hungry. Quite disappointing really. A burger roll really needs to be soft and I'd look at the filleting of your seabass as no one wants mouthfuls of bones.

Excellent food and very attentive service.

While in Okehampton we had dinner here. We could not fault it. Service was charming and efficient. Food was all excellent, as was outbottle of italian red wine. Great value for money too, highly recommended.

We are away on holiday and we found this rare gem , a 6 people booking the staff was brilliant and service the best we've had I a long time , starters were fresh and very tasty , mains absolutely stunning even with us all having different all fresh and tasted all the flavours all of us were very impressed and that's rare .

Came to Okehampton specifically to eat here and they were closed. Opening hours are either incorrect or not followed so I would recommend calling before going.

We happened upon Brothers on a recent visit to Okehampton. We visit quite often and never usually stop for anything other than shopping. On walking down the main street, we fancied a cup of coffee and something to eat. Brothers was a great choice .. fabulous welcome, friendly faces, food was excellent! We recommend a visit, you won't be disappointed 😉

Had a great meal here yesterday lunchtime for my mums birthday. It’s the 3rd time I’ve been and I’ve never been disappointed. The service was quick, super friendly and really helpful and the atmosphere was relaxed. The food was incredible and we loved every mouthful! Thank you.

If I am picking up, it was the nose, can get a bit that you can't hear your conversation. But the food this fantastic, well done boy's.

Lovely friendly staff at this restaurant. My partner's steak was of a fantastic quality, while my vegetable gratin was obviously homemade but the vegetables were undercooked. Good portions, very helpful service

Visited Brothers on Saturday 19/08/23 and this is a cafe I would recommend to anyone. The food full English breakfast was outstanding the service was superb and the atmosphere was excellent. You will find this place in okehampton Devon. Well worth the money and visit.

Went there with the family on our way back to Manchester from Falmouth after a short stay in Cornwall. Arrived there about 7pm without a reservation. Despite them being busy, they kindly accommodated us. I highly recommend the Brothers. The service was excellent, and the food from the starter's to dessert was exceptional. If the place was not a five hour trip from home, I would make this my regular place to eat. If I could rate this more than 5 stars, I would. Thanks for a great evening.

Probably the best coffee in town ... which is great to wash down the cheesecake! Family run and the staff are always lovely.

A tasty Eggs Benedict with friendly service.

Dropped in on a busy Saturday night, without a reservation, on the way home from the cinema, Oppenheimer, must watch. Staff were happy to accommodate our group of 3, ensured table was clean and that none of our party had any allergy issues. We tried the own brew Lager which was pleasantly refreshing and I had the Pan Asian pork belly. Excellent dish with great presentation, super tasty and top crackling. Staff were friendly and attentive, great atmosphere. Recommended

Honestly, what a find. From a quick Google search you may decide to choose any of the café in Okehampton. But I'd urge you to visit Brothers! I don't have a negative word to say. The staff were welcoming, chatty and friendly, the tables and seating were clean and spacious and the service quick. But the food, was simply way better than we could've expected. This isn't your average café - this is bistro'esque. We were blown away by the flavours, quality of ingredients and clear effort that went into each dish. Alot of the dishes are listed as being 'family recipes' from generations gone, and you can really feel the history in the cooking if that doesn't sound to obtuse. Cannot praise these guys enough. Wish we had one of these in our hometown! (EDIT: I forgot to mention the coffee is fantastic! And they were kind enough to reproduce an off menu choice of a 'cortado' at my request. Seriously just, visit this place already!)

Best coffee and cake in town. Very friendly welcome which goes a long way as we had originally gone to the cafe in red lion yard but staff were dull and rude! But not here the girl was a breath of fresh air! So efficient too.

Driving past at around 7 pm and saw it looked open. Parked up. Glad we did. The "Village Pot" was great, and something a bit different.

A culinary gem in the middle of Okehampton. Worth stopping here for. (Lost one star for overcooking my steak, but we were in a big group which makes timing difficult)

We dined here today with a big group to celebrate a friend's wedding. The menu they offered is was fantastic and every detail of the meal was delicious. Staff were efficient and friendly and I certainly look forward to a return visit

The restaurant is just too small for the numbers of tables which meant it was so loud in the restaurant that I couldn't have a conversation with my bf who sat opposite. Food was mediocre. We ordered a seafood dish and pork for main but both were average and I was left feeling disappointed.

We had roast beef and pork belly for lunch, both were absolutely delicious. The meat was cooked perfectly and 6 vegetables so tasty.
