Played Golf ⛳️ as invited for a corporate golf day. Very challenging course to play for the first time. Plenty of water to try and avoid. Course was perfectly maintained and greens very fast but also very consistent. Although challenging the course is great fun to play and had a fantastic day. First time I’ve had to use a ferry to travel to a green ⛴️, which is lovely unique addition to the 18th.

Beautiful surroundings for two spacious and well laid-out golf courses originally designed by Peter Allis. The Melbourne course includes a few holes with shots over the River Lea, where it's 100+ yards wide. The 18th also includes a ferry ride over the River Lea to the 18th green and the 19th hole. Great clubhouse and practice facilities. Was really impressed with the whole setup. Can't wait to return and play the Palmerston.

Lovely meal, food is way above any expectations, Debbie and all of her staff are particularly attentive and hands on. Thoroughly recommend this place to anyone who appreciates good food and quality surroundings

14 Church Street, Welwyn AL6 9LX EnglandWent to the Rose and Crown for the first time in 6 months, stopped going due to poor bar staff and customer service, nothing has changed. Since Rosie left customer service has dropped off, the current bar manager is more interested in talking to other bar staff than serving customers. Under the previous bar manager staff were on the ball and attentive, now customers are more of an inconvenience than paying customers, bat staff no longer wear uniforms and look scruffy.

15 High StreetThis is a beautiful boutique cake shop in Old Welwyn, with the most delicious cupcakes, cakes, sandwiches and afternoon teas. It's run by an absolutely lovely local lady who makes the most amazing bakes! The shop is really pretty and quaint, with beautiful crockery and a lovely friendly vibe in the centre of Old Welwyn. The shop has a fantastic range of cakes and treats, including options for vegan, vegetarian and gluten free, which is brilliant. I often admire their celebration, birthday and wedding cakes online as well - they look amazing (maybe I need to get married again ;) ) Will definitely be back!
