Good coffee, good food, fast friendly service.

Maybe it was to early for the bloke behind the counter even to take his coat off , but as I was ordering he just flipped on his phone. Not a great start but my lord when my order came out it looked as if it lay there for a while, even the toast was brittle. Didn't have the chance to eat it just left the place..

Best cafe in Derry unreal food and nice coffee. The staff are extremely friendly.

They have the BEST gluten free bagel I have ever tasted. I wish I lived closer (we were visiting from the US). Also just a great place. My husband loved his breakfast too!

I had avocado on sourdough bread with goats cheese & beetroot & it was absolutely delicious.

If I could rate this I would give 10. Nine family members accommodated in no time, fella even moved a cabinet so we had more space. Service was fabulous friendly & efficient. The food was amazing, not one normally to eat breakfast at all I went with the flow and had a Bron, it was delicious black & white pudding and no trouble asking for eggs scrambled. All 9 meals served together hot & gorgeous, will be visiting again next time over. Doing a great job guys 👍

As someone who’s worked as a barista I 100% empathise with an establishment that is understaffed, however waiting 20mins for simply 2 coffees & then being charged £6.90 despite having to come ask where the coffees were.. is such poor form. Especially when across the street your coffee is made as you order. Clearly Bron prioritises food orders where higher monetary value is involved. Ideally staff shouldn’t be taking breaks when the demands are at high capacity, rather before/after. Considering we only had 1hr parking, it prevented us running errands as we had to go move the car. & £11 for avocado toast is wild. Sorry friends.. First & last visit to Bron!

Very good menu items which are freshly made with a modern twist style, the service was really fast too with friendly staff. We had a very good experience here for brunch as the food was amazing and will definitely be returning.

Delicious late breakfast. We arrived at 12 and managed to get some of the he last few seats available on the high seats in the middle of the restaurant. They had clearly been very busy as a few of the dishes were unavailable as they had sold out. We could see why when we got the food which was all absolutely delicious. The portions were very good and all of the food was lovely. Our service was a little slow but I think this was just because of how busy they were. No issues just worth knowing if you are on a tight schedule. We were very happy with our experience!

The man who was working made us very welcome. Great Derry hospitality. He didn't charge us as we had bad news of being flooded. I was devastated. We stayed in the air B&B above the cafe. It was terrific. It was extremely kind much appreciated. And the food and coffee itself was top notch. I hope our next stay in Derry will be better but definitely will be back for breakfast!

Ordered hot chocolate and avocado toast and both items were absolutely terrible. The avocado toast tasted like I was taking a bite of oil. Will not recommend anything

This is quite a pretty looking cafe on the outside but scratch the surface a little and you will find a framework that crumples under the grand demand of two take away coffees. Also seems to be run by an adult manchild who can’t accept any criticism (see his replies on here) of any kind.

Very bad service. I had to wait more than 20 minutes for a milk chocolate (Hot cocoa). The hot cocoa was milk with a little chocolate. Horrible and expensive.

I went in for some brunch. Ordered halloumi hash and eggs, which sounded lovely. The meal arrived drenched in oil and saturated in salt. Couldn’t taste any flavour through all the salt. I ended up only eating the eggs and a couple of potato cubes. Staff continually avoided me and when someone finally approached me, I told her that it was too oily and salty. Nothing was compensated, no apology. A Staff member also blocked me in by putting a chair from a big group up against my table, blocking me in against a wall. I wasn’t even asked if it was ok, and had to ask the girl to get off her seat and let me out. I ended up paying £17 for 2 poached eggs and a mediocre latte. If that’s the standard of food provided for that price, I definitely won’t be back.

Loved our meal here, probably our favorite breakfast in N Ireland. Read some other reviews and we did not have any of the problems others referred to, but that does not mean it does not happen. Our server was kind and prompt, our coffees took a bit to come out but they were busy. We found the food to be delightful and do recommend this restaurant. It was recommended to us by a local of the area.

First time here. Very impressed.

Don't waste your time and money, went this afternoon for coffee and waited ten mins to be seated when the place was half empty. Staff couldn't really be bothered. Ordered two coffees and a hot chocolate with buns. Waited another ten mins coffees arrived with no buns. Had to ask for them and they were presented on one plate between three of us. Coffees were luke warm at best. Ended up paying and leaving I wasn't given a bill just told the price at the till. Very overpriced compared to other cafes nearby. Won't be back anytime soon.

Had breakfast to order there. Super staff and service considering there were around 20 odd people. Had the poached eggs on sourdough with bacon. Sweet mother of god it was amazing. The coffee (flat white) was superb in a really cool wee cup! Great!

Food a bit hit and miss. Could have done with a bit more seasoning. Service was quite poor; waiters either seemed like they were stressed or frankly didn't want to be there - not the friendliest bunch. Barista was the most enthusiastic of the entire bunch. Tables around us never got cleared even after guests had left nearly 30mins. Rarely give negative reviews but these things have to be said; might save the business in the long run.

The food presentation is absolutely amazing and the atmosphere is beautiful. I ordered steak, eggs and hash but I didn’t get any hash😏. The steak would do with a lil more seasoning. Would give it a try again and decide if I would be a regular. Kudos to the barista, he is smart and had to fill up for the waiters.

Been here before and had the same experience as before. Food decent but staff give the impression they don t want to be there. After bring seated quickly we had to ask someone to take our order as we waited that long. Then the waitress gave the impression that she couldn't be bothered!! And she wasn't the only member of staff who gave of that vibe......the place wasn t full by any means but the bar was full of dirty cups and glasses, with only one person trying to clear up the mess while every one else stood around doing nothing!! There's plenty of cafes and restaurants in town with quicker and better service. I ll be taking my business elsewhere until Bron management get their act together and emply decent staff!!

Order food, sat and waited nearly an hour to only have our order given to the table next to us. Which we were there long before them! They didn’t eat it as it was the wrong order in that time the food was cold and we never got ours. When brought to attention of staff member in two occasions they didn’t seem bothered. Ask for money to be refund and left! Will not be back over rated with terrible service! Wasted an hour of a morning for what was meant to be a relaxing brunch out.

Very poor service. Waited 40 mins for a bagel. Eventually just gave up and left. Bron did refund my card. Place was about half full but floor staff really not bothered

Had the Halloumi and egg breakfast, it was very flavoursome and the cafe and staff were lovely

The food was very nice they have gotten some nice ingredients. Staff was lovely just they seemed to be flat out and just took a bit longer to get sorted but that's good restaurant for you.

We had soup & wheaten bread which was very nice, staff were friendly and very helpful, will visit again!

Went in for lunch today, took 20 mins to get asked for our drink and food order, got 2 frys and came with the weirdest beans, oily potato bread oily hash brown, asked the waiter for salt during my lunch and she proceeded to walk past me and give other tables salt. The food would of been half nicer with salt. Also £2 for a cup of pineapple juice! Shocking! £17 for a fry which i half ate and pineapple juice.

First time. Got seated promptly. Waitress was pleasant but our tea & coffee arrived after I’d finished my food. Wasn’t helped by the fact that her baristas appeared to be too busy talking. Food was good but the decor could do with some refurbishment.

I’ve been here twice and both times the service has been bad. Which is disappointing because the food is good. Most of the staff stand about, while there is customers waiting to be seated/tables to be cleared, and they get to you very slowly even when it’s quiet. Quite expensive as well, a breakfast is £12 with no tea/coffee or toast and you get one of each item. The halloumi hash was beautiful though as was the homemade beans and coffee.

Really lovely stop for brunch! It’s bright inside and well-decorated. The food is delicious; we had the Avo Toast, Pancakes with Maple Syrup, and Loaded Bagel

Don’t bother. Called here on Friday with my mum. (first time). Very slow to take order despite not being overly busy around 12.30ish. I specifically asked for a well done egg in my bagel and it came out really runny . Had to ask for them to fix it. Took ages and my mum had almost finished her lunch by the time mine came out. Rest of bagel cold/bacon etc but replaced or refried egg on bagel. Average, avocado soggy almost like frozen avocado thawed out. I asked a young girl server for a fresh coffee as waiting so long for bagel to come out I had drank the first one. She forgot about this and when remixed said it will be two minutes. I then had finished so said to just leave it. When paying passed on my thoughts on service/lunch and was given the second coffee which I told them not to bother about on the house. Honestly not great service but okay vibe.

Had a very disappointing experience in Bron this morning with my partner. We were seated and then waited about 15 minutes for our drink and food order to be taken (at this time there was 3 floor staff and 1 barista, the cafe at this time was not busy), we watched staff members standing around on their phone and other members standing outside. Our coffees were beautiful, as was the coffee art! However the barista ended up having to run our drinks himself, despite the other 3 members of floor staff. Food arrived but we had not been set with cutlery. We weren’t asked if we wanted anymore drinks with our food and the staff member walked away very quickly after setting plates so we didn’t have the opportunity to ask. Cutlery was threw down in the middle of the table and again the staff member walked away to fast for us to ask for anything else. I had the sweet waffle, which was dry and the vanilla mascarpone was curdled (see picture). My partner had the hash and eggs, the waiter didn’t ask what way he wanted his eggs, so they came poached, which he didn’t particularly want. He had the same food the day before and it was noticeably a higher standard than today. This place has so much potential, but the service is a serious let down, as is the inconsistent food standard. We both have several years of hospitality service between us, all over the world and at home, so we know when to give staff the benefit of the doubt and when there is a problem with either management or training. The barista was flat out doing his best and it looked like he was carrying the rest of the team.

Please change the opening times on your Instagram & Google business page - went at 3:15pm (says open until 4pm online) only to be told you were closed at 3pm every day…not a great first impression! Editing to respond to the owner: We had made a trip specially to BRØN from out of county after reading the rave reviews online. It’s now been three hours since you responded, and none of the times have been updated. Totally appreciate things get missed, but we were told that it’s been a while since you changed the closing time to 3pm - I would be updating asap to avoid further disappointment. I still stand by my one star, it’s important to customers that these details are kept updated. We won’t have the opportunity to visit again any time soon but wishing you continued luck (and please get round to updating your socials!)

Was in Bron 2 go on Spencer Road today, the barista who served me was so friendly and knowledgeable, and made the best coffee. Highly recommended. I'll definitely make it my stop in the city for coffee from now on.

Super friendly staff and cool vibe. Food was delicious - I had the breakfast bagel with smashed avocado, smoked bacon, egg and hot sauce - Yum! My daughter opted for the roasted vegetable panini with pesto. Nothing was too much trouble. Staff were attentive without being overbearing. Nearly got away without buying dessert but got caught with the salted caramel choc chip cookie at the till! Sooooo goooooood. Will be back.

As a gluten free diner i was thoroughly spoiled for choice, food was sublime so fresh and colours on plate where vibrant and flavours where bursting from first to last bite. Restaurant was busy but staff where still taking care & attention to every detail. Highly recommend

Love Brøn! I eat here often sometimes just for a coffee, but also for breakfast, brunch and lunch. Always great food, with a fab friendly team! Also love the new Brøn 2Go over in the Waterside, which, as it’s close to my work, I’m sure will be a regular place for a coffee! Friendly and great location Highly recommended

Really REALLY good customer service from the young lady with the interesting hair! I was very impressed, she was really attentive and made me feel welcome immediately! The breakfast was great and sorted out my hangover too :) ☆☆☆☆☆ top drawer!

I have been disappointed by Brøn twice now, and I really want to like and support this cafe/restaurant. Today I went in and ordered breakfast - French Toast. I asked for no maple syrup as I am not a fan (it's not listed on the menu as an ingredient but after chatting to the wait staff they let me know that there is in fact maple syrup). I asked for no chocolate shaving and no maple syrup. We also asked for bacon to be added. Low and behold when my French toast (which had not been soaked in egg, maybe brushed for half a second) arrived - it was dripping in maple syrup. The staff member was not apologetic and told me that it is served with maple syrup. Which I know. Because we had a conversation about it and you had to check with the chef. And i asked for no maple syrup. The bacon - also did not arrive. It was remade and extremely bland and disappointing. We left after only eating the berries and tried a bit of the bread, and when the front of house asked about our toast we told them our story, to which not much care was given. Paid for it in full! So disappointed. Will not be back for a third try.

Nice place and amazing food! We were there just for a coffee but we changed our minds after a while, best decision ever! The brunch was delicious and we enjoyed the atmosphere! We will come back for sure!

I attended Brøn on Sunday past and I don’t think I’ll cross the threshold again. We were greeted by a really nice waiter who took us to our seat and took a drinks order. I took nearly 30 minutes for our hot drinks to arrive and surprisingly they arrived in a paper cup. I did ask another waiter to check on our order as it was 40 minutes at this stage and she failed to return to update us. People as the tables surrounding us also asked how long we’d be waiting and also voicing their disappointment. It took over 45 minutes for our food to arrive. Yes the food was nice however that was the only pleasing experience. I understand that the entire hospitality industry is finding it tough at the moment however if you cannot cope with the demand management really should have advised existing customers whom awaiting food that there would be a delay rather than being left in the dark. I hope you can fathom my experience.

First time eating in Brøn on Sunday and wouldn’t return. Drinks order came out 30 minutes after ordered and food came out 50 minutes after being ordered. Asked one of the waitresses to check on the food after 30 minutes and she never returned with an update.

Probably the best breakfast of our two week stay across Ireland. Highly recommend!!!

Absolutely the best breakfast I've probably ever had in any establishment 2 mornings and 2 different breakfast the pancakes with rhubarb were amazing

The food is great! But the staff and service is bad. I have eaten here 3 times and the waiters ignor you until you turn around wave and ask for something. Sometimes it would be nice to not have to ask twice for a refill of water or some ketchup for chips. I have also been given dirty cutlery, cups and water that has mystery dust floating around in it

The breakfast bagel was amazing and packed a bit of a kick! Not sure the wooden "plate" is practical though, felt unnecessary. Coffee was great too!

Called in on a Sunday morning for breakfast, good selection on menu. Quite busy but got a table after a short wait. Pleasant atmosphere, Coffee good, both dishes underwhelming as they lacked seasoning and I felt were a little overpriced for what they were, won't rush back.

C&C sandwich was good and chips were amazing!

Sex on a plate is the best way to describe the food. Fit for cosy for 2 or large groups . Fantastic atmosphere beautiful friendly people and be prepared for something new.

Visited here twice during our recent weekend stay in Derry…it was that good! First time was just for coffee and the biggest scones I’ve ever seen! We returned the following morning for breakfast as the menu had caught our attention. Being a Sunday it was...

This place has a great atmosphere, we only went in to warm up with a hot chocolate! The food looked really good, had we been staying longer we would have gone back to sample it.

Went for breakfast after seeing other reviews. Firstly, parking is always a challenge in the Bishop Street area, no fault of Bron's though. The staff were polite and friendly, but as far as breakfast food goes, it kicks straight to five stars. Reading the menu, I was intrigued to the steak and eggs option...rump steak, Brussels sprouts and potatoes mixed with poached eggs and hollandaise...but what a surprise!! Rump steak cooked with care to a medium rare and then sliced. Brussels were fresh and delightful...I need to have more Brussels for breakfast!! My wife ordered the bagel, again...an absolute delight, coming from someone who is normally pretty critical when it comes to food! Bacon, salad, avocado and a spicy mustard...YUM! Highly recommend...a couple of small points. 1. Switch the heating on earlier in the am...cam be a little chilly in the modern open setting. 2. Serve coffee closer to the meal, this way it's not cool by the time food arrives but these won't prevent the 5 stars.

Nice food nice astomspere and decor there was a bit of mix up with our order my food came out first. And my friends had to wait i could have chosen to give the order back and get all 3 at the same time but it was fine they didn't have to wait long.

Menu looked good with lots of options for breakfast… but food turned out to be bland. Avocado toast was notable for its lack of avocado. Glasses, and jugs were dirty.

I had the avacado and poached egg on toast with beetroot and goats cheese. It was delicious. Fillings to bread ratio was a bit off however. Ate most of the bread and still had loads of beetroot left. Used my sister's toast to mop it up so it wasn't a problem. Goats cheese went really well and balanced out the beetroot. Definitely a tasty meal and healthy too. Seats were a tiny bit uncomfortable.
