Our favourite- love the food and good size portions

Order was quite late and when called restaurant to query they told me 5-10 minutes more, when I asked if really another 5-10 minutes they hung up on me! Wouldn’t say the best customer service!! Food at best was average too!

An hour and a half for delivery wasn’t ideal. The food was delicious but only the curry was warm.

Everything cooked to perfection.

Food was cold when I got it , suppose I expected it! Hardly any meat in the curry. Chapattis were as tough as leather! Won’t be eating here again, let down!

Order arrived missing the Pilau Rice so had to go in the oven until the rice turned up. Consequently the Mixed Kebab starter was dried out, but the quality of the meat didn’t seem great anyway. The rest of the food was delicious though.

The Vindaloo was sweet for some reason. The breads were thick and bun like as opposed to being like a naan. Overall the food was not up to scratch.

Onion bhajies were good, as was the rice. Chicken was tough and overcooked, pathia sauce poor, and the paratha went straight in the bin.

The beef was excellent, very lean and tender, the madras sauce was spicy and hot, and the rice was delicious ! Great takeaway and always consistent.

We order fairly often from British Raj some orders have been better than others. However tonight was just the worst we ordered a Tandoori mix the Tandoori chicken on the bone was stale and smelt funny. The chicken karahi had no flavour, the rice was mushy. Very Disappointed 😞 I tried to call but was no Answer. So unusual for this Take away. But all gone in the bin Tonight.

What they sell as Biryani is not even close to a pulao. It is the worst rice dish I have ever had. You should take down biriyani from your menu. It is just greasy boiled rice.

The main meals were nice but the naan sandwich came with no sauces or salad, and the pilau rice is just a small plain rice with a few coloured rice mixed in for £2.70, so I was dissapointed.

Didn't actually get the free chapattis offered. Food was okay, though.

The Madrid curry sauce was hot and spicy and plentiful, the beef was extremely lean and tender 10/10

Quality of the dish’s sauce was great as always, however chicken was tough and there were no king prawns as advertised in the dish description.

Hands down one of the best curries I've had in a long time. I was initially a little apprehensive due to the restaurant naming (British), as I am a stickler for traditional Indian food, and not the westernised rubbish a lot of other Indian takeaways tend to serve, which usually have far too much ghee, and very bland and tasteless. This is was beautiful. It arrived on time and was red hot, despite a 10/15 minute journey for the driver. The Bhindi Baji side dish was a definite show stopper for me, and this will definitely be my "go to" Indian restaurant from now on. I would like to pass on my appreciation and thanks to the Chef for a genuinely delicious meal.

Best takeaway curry I’ve had in Manchester, have had about 4 curry dishes from here and each time has been excellent. A lot of places you find can be slightly oily or bland but this has been spot on every time, would highly recommend - I now go nowhere else for a curry

Very disappointed,ordered the lamb sag and ended up with chicken,asked for it was spicy obviously they didn’t read the notes,if it was spicy I would have picked the chicken out as I don’t like chicken,so the curry wasn’t eaten,lamb chops were nice though, what a let down and a waste of money ☹️

Probley the best curry takeaway in Manchester!! Absolutely delicious curry’s, hot and fresh. Chips are crispy and hot, and the poppadoms and so nice! The mango chutney is so nice too! Literally everything we have ordered so far has been absolutely delicious thank you British raj!

Shop smells of beautiful spices.. which I told them. One of the best vindaloos I've had. I'm from nottingham and travel country wide.. and have put in my diary for when I work in Manchester...

Delivery was early But food Biryani was uncooked and difficult to chew very oily and the meat was hard. It was such a waste of money for such uncooked biryani Chicken tikka Total 5 small pieces and it costed 3:50 Why on earth would u charge this ? Overall disappointment So this goes to the NO list of restaurants

I received some rock hard chops could not eat them also it said diced lamb on description the man bread was cold and hard also chips were and the poppa dons were terrible was so disappointed

The food came extremely fast and was missing a rice and was cold two of the curry’s needed microwaved that put us off eating because we doubted it was fully cooked if it came so cold and so fast! We ordered 3 full curry’s and only got 1 rice! The meal was a disappointment we won’t be ordering from here again! Cold food missing items an rude man on the phone so I just put the phone down I spend over £27 for inedible food
