Food was at my door in about 20 minutes red hot fresh very tasty chicken tikka honey bhuna chips are mega aswell garlic rice spot on garlic nan banging 👌🏻

Visited here with family as a group of 6 and everyone raved about the quality of the food. The Indian Summer dish in particular was exceptional.

Great atmosphere great food and great service

We have been meaning to try this restaurant for ages having read the reviews. Unfortunately we only get the chance when we visit my wife's parents in Swinton as we live the other side of the Penines. Finally got there this week and it was everything we hoped it would be. Proper old school indian and all our meals were delicious. I had a lamb madras that was honestly so tasty with succulent pieces of meat. Definitely going again next time we're over!!!!

Was looking for a new Indian takeaway as wasn't impressed with Shabna recently. Google search led me to British Raj. Was a great choice. Food very good, friendly staff and good service. Mentioned to my son the next day and turns out it's his friends regular takeaway and another friend used to work here.🙄 We will be back.

Returned to Swinton recently and visited here a few times - Easily the best curry in Swinton. First time, I sat inside and rhe lamb chops starer was especially superb. Tonight, had a takeaway chicken madras and again, brilliant. Top staff too, I highly recommend this place. BYOB if you sit in too.

the food from here is absolutely impeccable, best takeaway in salford by some distance. would HIGHLY recommend the chicken balti with pilau rice chips n garlic naan, but that’s just based on personal experience. would give this place 10 stars if i could, food is jus so elegant.

Good was ready for collection in 15/20 mins - meal for one absolutely unreal value in terms of amount of food, and the qualities of the curries are excellent given it’s a restaurant rather than a bogstandard takeaway that churn out food quickly. I’ve ate in the restaurant and this was first time on takeout but safe to say will be ordering again.

1st time of ordering and I wasn't disappointed, the food is another level, clean,crisp and very flavoursome. This is one of those places where you know the difference. price point on par against quality of food.. no gimmicks bells or whistles just great tasting food. the only downside to this review was the delivery driver, he was neither polite or arrogant, was on the middle line, possible just over run or was on an off day, but certainly didn't make the experience a bad one.. 4.5 out 5 for me.

This place is the worse The staff is so rude and kept on shouting at his colleague which looks like he's a child The old man kept on shouting at my kids And top of all that they don't even get to keep the tips I always keep seeing the old man keep taking the tips and putting it in a box at the back of the shelfs

Was recommended this place and was not disappointed. Food was fast and delicious, so tasty and red hot when it arrived at the table. Staff are friendly and attentive and if your eating in you can take your own alcohol as they are not licensed which is an added bonus. Really reasonably priced for excellent food, large kids portions. We will definitely be returning customers

Absolutely got ripped off from this place, £119 for 3 people to eat on New Year’s Eve and one off them people only eat a starter. This is a crime to charge this amount off money and will not be going there again based on being charged this much

Ordered from here last night, the food was full of flavour and hot. Really enjoyed it.

Very good as usual apart from two small things which are the lamb in the mixed kebab was chewy and my onion bhajis where abit too crisp but other than that everything else was great and did really enjoy it.

So the rumours are true... This place is the best Indian take away in Swinton by far! The food is delicious, I mean... Noticeably, obviously, better then the rest. Everything we had delivered was perfectly cooked and just perfect. If they can do me a veggie naga, I'll never go anywhere else again! Highly recommended.

Great night out. Very friendly staff rPid service lovely food. The restaurant is not licensed but they allow you to bring your own wine and beer and even provide wine coolers.

Had a takeaway was 50 minutes late. When finally came the order was wrong no pilau rice 2 boiled rice and food was not very hot. First time last time sorry never again.

Tried this place for my first time over the Easter weekend. Ordered a chicken tikka jalfrezi with pilau rice and a garlic naan. Everything tasted spot on and was delicious. Big portions too with plenty of chicken. I ate half on the night I got it, then had the other half the day after for my dinner. The waiter who served me was welcoming and friendly and didn't rush me when looking at the menu. No alcohol is served but you can take your own booze. Midweek special offer runs Tues through to Thurs. This is going to be my new favourite for a good tasty curry. Cheers 🍻

Beautiful curry house with an excellent choice of curries, clearly cooked by a quality chef! Absolutely amazing and we LOVE our curries! Best in Salford easily!

First visit here, midweek early evening could explain the lack of atmosphere as there was only a couple of tables occupied. Saying that the food was excellent, the lamb was so tender and the naan bread the best we've tasted. Definitely worth giving this restaurant a try

Don’t write a review but had to after what we have just Eaton. First it’s hard to find a good Indian takeaway but this has topped my 29 years on this Earth. The Nan bread id travel miles to have that again it was so bloody doughy! Onion baji was just perfect. My housemate had garlic butter chicken she said it’s sweet so if you like that go for it. I had balti chilli masala and let me tell you! If you love spicy food get this bad boy and have a pint of milk ready when that green chilli goes down you! Absolute banging takeaway and will deffo be ordering from them again!

Visited tonight for the first time, I had the Chicken Madras and my wife had Chicken Pathia, both dishes were excellent and very tasty, I will certainly be calling again very soon, I would highly recommend this Restaurant, Quality Indian/Bangladeshi cuisine,very reasonable prices and excellent customer service

Ordered take away, Tuesday evening same as last time taken money no order!! It's about!! Actually drove down. In darkness. Why oh why would your website take orders if your not OPEN!! Had a couple of great meal's. Get your F__king act together. Your decent. But service is bobbins...

This was second takeout in as many days. Had tandoori fish and mixed starter. Tandoori season is delicate and didn’t overpower the fish or chicken and the chicken was still juicy. The chicken dhoniya sylheti was amazing - lots of tender chicken, coriander in a thick medium spiced sauce and a good sized portion. Had garlic rice and keema rice which were both delicious. Mint yoghurt was good but the onions could have been a bit more adventurous with the tomato coating but it’s all down to personal preference. Looking forward to trying more from their menu.

Lovely little find this family (current owner only been in a month so far) run vibe coming from this place, very attentive service without being intrusive, bring your own alcohol, the spicy sauce instead of lime pickle with poppadoms was home made and very morish 😋 they gave me some to take home 👍 after the poppadoms I had the recommendation of tandoori lamb chop starter 😋 brill!...then my go to fav chicken jalfrezi again sweet as👌and the usual rice ect. Can highly recommend will defo be back seeing its just around the corner!!.....as by way of a little bit of constructive critique decor in need of face lift, but after chatting with the new owner full refurb coming in January 2022 can't wait for that, but Dont hesitate to get yourself down there right away as you won't regret it, I hope to be back a few times before then too!! 😋

Once again a great meal, great value on a wednesday night and very friendly staff, one of the best Indian restaurants small and personal, we travel from Oldham thats how good it is, 36 mile return, speaks for itself

Been back twice now since changed hands and it’s still as good if not better! Portion size is great and staff are really friendly. Can’t beat the Sunday special of Poppadums, Any Starter, Any Main and Naan/Rice for only £10!! Will be the go-to curry place from now on

Had an enjoyable evening at British Raj on Sunday night. I had the Sunday special 4 courses for £10 - Poppadom, Mixed starter, Achari Gost and keema rice. The food was absolutely delicious, i had lamb for the main and is was so tender and tasty and the curry was delicious. The owner told me that the meat was fresh every day The service was second to none, nothing was too much for the staff even though they were busy and they were very friendly. This wont be the last time I visit and i would recommend to anyone

We'd been wanting to try this place out since it opened and we're both very glad that we did. The food is truly excellent and the service outstanding. We liked everything we had. Everything was cooked really well. No rubber chicken or stale naan breads here! It's a long time since we've been for an Indian meal out but we will certainly be going here again.

Went in with family, including children. Food was fabulous, well presented and delicious. Very good service and brilliant with the children. Reasonable prices too. Will definitely become a regular. They do not serve alcohol (not a problem for us) but you can bring your own to drink there. Very friendly.
