British Airways Concorde Room in Hillingdon

Atmosphere is amazing, with a major disappointment on food quality. The drinks are good, and the service is average. For Heathrow, the lounge is decent. If going in with high expectations be prepared to be let down.

Soonest I got in the Concorde Room T5... you could certainly sense the person in front wasn't pleasant. There wasn't just the feeling of "valued" and "welcomed". Seemed like there were there for the job. On the Condorde Room Dining - no one checks you out how the food is or if there's anything else you needed. It was difficult to call someone. I've always associated first class lounges to caring & excellent customer service in all aspects. In this case - it just didn't exist. British Airways should take coaching. from First Class Lounges of Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific or even Lufthansa.

This is the lounge for First Class passengers. It is a really nice space with good decorations and mood. One of the main attractions is the dining room where passengers can have a sit down meal cooked to order. A really nice experience.

Always a top-notch experience, and the best thing about LHR and British Airways.

The world's worst airline. Cancelled one leg of my last two trips with less than 24 hours notice and no way of getting through to speak to anyone to rebook. Simply rubbish service at every step. British Airways is rapidly becoming my most loathed company.

After a disappointing checkin experience this was a great comeback. The lounge is of good size with plenty of different seating options. I chose to first sit in the dining area and had a 3 course meal. The food was excellent, highly recommend the fish pie, it was light, fresh and very flavourful. The service was excellent with everything being taken care of at your request. The good service continues throughout the lounge including the bar service. Only small let down is the hospital like toilets, they really could do with an upgrade to match the high quality and exclusiveness of this lounge.

A good facility to escape the general hassle of T5, however short on electrical outlets.

This is one of the best lounges in the world for a reason. I love the luxurious feel to the place with a la carte dining. Drink lovers will love the bar. Quiet and peaceful and exclusive. It's the best lounge at Heathrow.

Wonderful lounge. However, the lady at the desk on 6th Aug at 6am was incredibly snooty. She didn’t look up from the desk, I stood (clearly in her eye-line) as she fiddled with her phone and said “are you looking for the business lounge?” It was my first time flying first class so really put a dampener on the start of it. She is clearly in the wrong job. Maybe she should work at the business class lounge herself 😅

Gracious, attentive service. Good selection of food & drink. Bathrooms are mediocre in design at best, but clean & well-serviced. Convenient access from First check-in without having to navigate the maze of duty free shops.

Don’t get me wrong - this is a nice lounge to spend some time in but the service is pretty poor (groups of them chatting and on phones) with mediocre food. I found the dinner menu fairly limited and resorted to a tough burger which was a mistake. First world problems I know but access comes at a price and I would have hoped for a little better.

Very relaxing enjoyable place to spend time before your flight. Nice to be able to enjoy food at a table like a nice meal out. Was slightly disappointed they have changed the champagne from Laurent Perrier(first world problems) good selection of food, drinks and snacks available at any time. Staff are very attentive to cleaning your table. The only downside would be the outdated cabins/washrooms. 2024 and the toilets don’t have a soft-close seat? With the space they have on offer you could quite easily fit a shower in this area like most other First Class lounges which would elevate the whole experience. Overall nothing to be disappointed about.

If you arrive at the airport tired, sleepy, Concord room is the best that could have happened.

It's a nice lounge that is typically quiet. There is a quiet room where you can catch a nap. Food and alcohol are both high quality. I'd really like it if they served full menu all day. I was there in the morning but really wanted a dinner based on my time zone changes. Update: this year I arrived at breakfast time and enjoyed it in the quiet dining area. Then enjoyed lunch in the terrace restaurant overlooking many gates and sitting next to a Concorde jet nose cone. Staff were fabulous. It was much quieter overall on a Sunday. The French Bordeaux was really good. I enjoy traveling through London so I can visit this lounge.

Nice lounge to chill out in. Food was OK but nothing to write home about. Service hit and miss... some great others less so.

Being on the BA Gold Guest List, the BA Concorde Room is one of the best picks for me before taking off from Heathrow T5. Highly recommended. It's an oasis that is changing the flight experience completely. The food is very lovely. They gently share the nutritional information (calories) for each dish, and their list of Champagnes is outstanding. The only issue is their coffee, the Union Hand-Roasted in London, doesn't do the job. I always discreetly pop down to Starbucks or Pret to get a proper Expresso :)

The lounge was nice and the service was great. Both meals I had were also very good. Overall I have been to fancier lounges under business class fares. The place that really needs to be updated is the bathrooms and showers. The wine and champagne selection was very good, though for such a high end lounge, the whiskey selection was lacking.

Food quality is ok, wine/alcohol selection is wide. The lounge is way too packed, it takes a couple of minutes just to find a seat. The staff are definitely overwhelmed, leading to reduced service quality.

I have complained many times to BA about the change last year to the Ladies toilets in the Concord lounge. The manager, obviously a misogynist, changed the toilets to Unisex. When I asked the female staff the reason, they were told that his excuse was that the toilets on the planes are unisex! There is never a queue for the toilets, there are plenty of them and this act is one of hate for women, wishing them to feel uncomfortable in a space that should feel safe. This choice does not provide a luxury experience for half of the clients visiting the lounge. I don't care how good the food is or how lovely the staff are, when I am made to walk out of the lounge to use the public female only toilets, I feel angry and try to book any airline other than BA!

Nice place but the smell from the toilets and cleaning fluids reaches a long way into the lounge. Today my server dropped my knife from the napkin wrap onto the floor then put it straight back on my plate.

Consistently one of the best airport lounges in the world! Fantastic service, great wine and lovely quiet atmosphere in the middle of a chaotic airport!

The lounge was overall a disappointing experience due to the staff and lack of attententiveness. I found myself having to go to the bar to order drinks and calling over a server to order. I felt very awkward having to do this bit sadly unlike the business class lounge, there isn't really a self serve option. Overall the lounge itself is nice, comfortable and a pleasant place to wait for your flight.

Equivalent to a basic airport lounge rather than a first class lounge.

I've had varied experiences in here over numerous visits, but things err towards pretty positive overall. I think it depends on the staff who are on shift at the time, with service ranging from very pro active with staff almost sensing when your champagne glass is running low, through having to track people down to order. Food is generally good quality, a definite step up from the Galleries lounges, at least for lunch and dinner. The laurent perrier grande ciecle champagne is also very good. The regular wine seems a bit more hit and miss, and I've had truly excellent through to so-so. Overall if you are flying BA first class or fly enough to hold a BA concorde room card, it's still the best place in Heathrow T5 to relax before your flight.

Slowest service ever. Literally having to go to the bar to get a glass of water, because staff are walking around rearranging pillows, but somehow don’t manage to spot an empty glass on a table. Staff is also not particularly polite, i.e. ‘you are welcome’ and ‘thank you’ are a bit of a rarity.

place was nice and i assume lunch/dinner are more interesting - but i unfortunately was here for breakfast. not really my particularly favorite airline transit food, in plane or on the ground. nonetheless i got a full english thinking it would have to be really good being in london, and at the concorde room. and really... there's multiple iterations of it on the small thai island few people have heard of and where i spend most of my year that are all better. the bacon and tomato were good, didn't enjoy the eggs. overall disappointing. the menu also had 'american pancakes' on it - although a table near me ordered them and they were not so american looking to me. any chain denny's or mom and pop diner will show you how to do those. they will weigh in at more than the 444 cal noted on the menu, although that's kind of the point lol. cool place, i think i would have enjoyed it vastly more visiting a few hours later though. i would echo the preference for simply having lunch/dinner items available all day. especially if the breakfast ones are going to be executed disappointingly.

Nice, however, considering it is only open to first class passengers I expected a little more. It was not much better than some business class lounges.

Man merkt der Lounge an, dass sie schon etwas älter ist, insbesondere der Toilette. Ansonsten ist viel Platz, es ist ruhig und man kann a la carte essen. Wenn man den Zugang hierher hat, sollte er auch genutzt werden.

One of the best lounges in the world. Every person is treated special. You can order any kind of food anywhere in the lounge. Service is excellent. Staff are welcoming. Everyone goes above and beyond their job. Very clean, tidy. Bar is fully stacked.

Today, I find myself once again at the British Airways Concorde Lounge at LHR, and it’s high time I shared how fantastic this place is. Every visit here consistently elevates my entire British Airways experience, making each journey more enjoyable. This time around, two staff members particularly stood out for their exceptional service. Romana at the bar and Richard Rodriguez attending the tables were remarkable. Their attentive and friendly service really made a difference in my stay at the lounge. Whether I’m passing through or have some time to spare, the Concorde Lounge always offers a haven of comfort and luxury. It’s places like this that remind me why I choose to fly with British Airways. The lounge’s ambiance, coupled with top-notch service, makes it a perfect spot to relax and unwind before a flight. Kudos to the entire team here for delivering such a high standard of service today . I’m already looking forward to my next visit during my next trip

The sad state of British airways At every wheaterspoons the service is more attentive. They forget your orders, they don’t even know what wine they have on the list. And my main course was completely forgotten.

My partner and I found the quality of the food to be poor to inedible. Quite shocking that we had to send everything back, my main of chicken was hands down the one of the most disgusting meals I ever tasted.

If you bought a first class ticket and are expecting to be treated as such, forget it. This lounge does not compare to some of the better carriers first class lounge! I have tried most of them and BA is average. The lounge is nice but NO attention to detail. No boarding anouncements No car service to the gate. The Concorde room is average so no way I could give 5 stars. If you are spending 10k+ there are better options .

Very overrated ….. This is a very overrated lounge for gold card holders. It was very busy when visited at lunch time, food was OKish but nothing special, good selection of champagnes though. Service inexistent, not really a place to relax or work peacefully, just another disappointment from BA.

Overall, it was a let-down and BA need to get a grip on things ASAP. The good things: of course, the free-flowing LPGS, and actually all the alcoholic drinks and especially cocktails were very good indeed. Indeed the terrace is also very nice, and there are several very nice seating areas. However, the real problems (and they are big) are the service and food quality. The service was mediocre at best, there was a trainee with minimum supervision let loose, and while he did his best, it meant many guests did not get close to good service. We also tried twice to secure a shower. On the first occasion we tried to book, and were told to come later, that there would be no problem. We duly came back later as advised and were told we couldn't have a shower as they were either in use or needed cleaning. Finally the food. This was borderline dire, and so far from a premium experience... in fact the menu was just weird. A very salty and rather unpleasant-tasting bacon chop, some sorry-looking ravioli and a cheap-tasting burger were among the items we tried. Absolutely have to do better...

The Concord Room is easily the best place at T5 to wait for a connection. There is a security screening entrance that enters into the BA lounges, it allows you to bypass the busy security area in the middle of the terminal. Much quicker and way more peaceful. I would have given 5stars across the board but some of the other airlines have raised the bar for 1'st class lounges. I travel between Joeburg and Vancouver, that means a 12 hour layover in London, the smaller security area for the BA lounges means less worry about a slow process if we go into London and arrive back at T5 a little late. That, to me, is a real bonus!

A very fun thing to do is watch the BA hype video ‘a very British airline’ about the Concorde room and then experience this incredibly mid place. If there’s ever a class revolt once the mob storms this place they’ll lay down their pitchforks and express their condolences to the upper crust.

Great place to relax and eat before a flight, although during peak times it can become uncomfortably busy.

If you can get in…it’s probably the best place to be in LHR while waiting for your flight. Spacious and airy, comfortable, attentive service, food offerings a bit boring but good quality.

An amazing experience. Everybody was really helpful. The only downside was the air conditioning which fell short as the temperature both inside and outside was uncomfortably hot.

A nice lounge with a relaxed atmosphere. Good range of places to sit from formal dining to relaxed seating on the balcony. The drinks were great with LPGS on self service. The food was disappointing for the flagship lounge. Dry cakes and what felt like a cheap pub curry were my only gripes. On the whole, a lovely place to start your journey and a much better spot than the hell on earth of the main terminal

We had heard the hype about this lounge. Boy, was I misled. The seats are old and worn down. There are not very many plug-in stations, and the two I found don't even work. Some servers are nice while others could care less. The food I ordered was almost unedible. The only thing to do was drown my disappointment with free champagne. The only good thing about this lounge. I have encountered much better lounges, for example, in Charles de Gaulle in Paris. I'm extremely dissatisfied after spending $5,000 for a first class ticket. I would never recommend this lounge to anyone, and in fact, this whole airport is the worst I have been to. I hope to never return to this airport or lounge.

A lovely lounge for BA First passengers and ultra frequent fliers (gold guest list). It has a menu which changes monthly. Staff are friendly and helpful and their are excellent cocktails available. Nice views of the apron from the terrace.

We have used the Concord Lounge several times before. On this occasion it was a flight to Chicago. The lounge is usually quite, apart from the occasional person speaking loudly on their phones or broadcasting their conversations on speaker. There’s always usually some reasonably comfortable seats available. We had the full breakfast which wasn’t too bad, apart from the bacon which one could have used to re-sole a shoe, it was that tough. Some of the staff were friendly whereas some others were a little surly. Another point to note was the arrogance of the staff in the dedicated first class search area of T5. One individual who was supervising the search arch had absolutely no communication skills. Once I’d pass through the arch, he just tilted his head to indicate that I could proceed. No verbal communication, smile etc. Those at the end of the scanning conveyor belt were almost as rude. HAL security could really learn a thing or two from those in Southampton, Bournemouth or further afield in Australia for example. I appreciate these are Heathrow Airport staff and not BA, however they’re dealing with BA’s customers and these miserable folk really don’t help with first impressions of the airport/lounge.

Great experience even very short. Lounge and it's service was very good, but if you fly first and arrive from a European flight, no information nor signs how to get there, as it is transit. If I wouldn't read the info, I would not know how to get there. It is a door w/o information next to the south security. You really have to walk against the stream of person's getting out of security to get and find the door. The food was very good and service and speed great (I only had 25 min). Be aware there is no transport nor escort service to the plane for first customers, walking is mandatory and as most international flights leaving from C terminal approx 5-10 min.

A beautiful lounge which is often quiet due to exclusivity. The food is beautifully presented and arrives quickly. The drinks took a little longer than one would have hoped and there was a side order of food missing however. The staff are amazing. Both on entry and serving. They are often smiling and always very professional. There was a secret cocktail on the menu, a Marmite martini. Give it a try once!

Awful experience in a lounge I always wanted to visit, what a let down! For years being a Gold card holder on British Airways I head to the First Lounge almost every other week glancing at the Concorde lounge and what it must be like to visit (on people flying first can visit the Concorde Lounge) and how exactly it improves on the very good First Lounge. Recently I used my Avios to fly in First for a Holiday which gave me my first opportunity to use this revered lounge. On first glance the decor is more premium than the first lounge and there is an atmosphere closer to a private members club, this is where the experience starts to descend in quality, as you head towards the restaurant area with its à la carte menu, you unfortunately experience the staff, who seem to be on rotation with any other BA lounge. I arrived in the lounge with 2 hours before my flight and an hour and a half later when I had to leave I had only managed to prize a starter out of the kitchen. The staff kept saying “one minute, or just a second” to the point I didn’t get fed at all. I was so incensed by the experience I let several members of staff who had being part of the “serving” experience know my thoughts. I wonder if British Airways know this is what their flagship lounge consists of (I doubt it). All I could think leaving was what a sad experience, I had always wanted to visit that lounge having passed by literally 100’s of times over the years and it was such a complete and utter let down. Come to think of it, it isn’t that far all British Airways experiences these days. I can’t help but think the whole thing needs a reboot.

The lounge is calm and relaxing, and the food menu is very British. The flagship is very generous.

Yes, it's as good as ever. Nice breakfast. Friendly staff on the bar and not too busy. Only slight criticism is that if you're not at the bar, sometimes service can be slow, or they can miss you altogether.

Wonderful First Class Lounge at London Heathrow airport. We flew British Airways First from JNB-LHR-SEA, so we were able to enjoy British Airways Concorde Room at London Heathrow Terminal 5. I booked us a private Cabana so we could shower and nap after the long flight and the five hour layover. We were able to order plated dishes by phone in the Cabana. Delish food from the Chef inspired menu. Delivered quickly to your Cabana. You can email the lounge in advance to reserve a cabana (highly recommended). We also were entitled to free spa treatment at Elemis since we were flying BA First class - so I booked and reserved a facial and a massage for my dear wife. The lounge is incredibly spacious with lots of private dining and seating area's . We were able to explore the attached First Galleries lounge for domestic First class and Oneworld Emerald and Sapphire elite members. Access to the Concorde room is limited to those flying BA First Int'l and BAs top elite fliers and guest. No access for Oneworld elites. The Concorde room offer top shelf premium spirits and bubbly as well as chef inspired offerings.

Feels what like all lounges used to be like, brings an air of pleasantness to the Heathrow experience! Makes you realise how poor the business class lounge is!

The dining experience was fantastic, the food was expertly prepared and delivered with professionalism that you would expect in a top restaurant. The lounge was not too busy when I was there, and the staff were very friendly and attentive. The bar was fully stocked, and staff were happy to make any cocktail you requested, I tried the Old Fashioned and it was very good. Looking forward to returning.

Absolutely incredible breakfast, I've also had dinner here before and it was just as delicious. The lounge itself is elegant, smells incredible and is very quiet, all guests are very respectful.
