Went here yesterday finally found the best chippy in Yarmouth! The Wings were sensational and the best we've ever had we have not stopped talking about them! Food was perfect and cooked to order such a lovely place with lovely staff was a perfect spot to feed the family thankyou we will be back everytime we visit 😍🥰🍗

Amazing fish and chips, good portions, and lovely people

Spotlessly clean throughout, staff were very friendly, smart very polite, order taken quickly no fuss. food cooked to order , served piping hot generous portions, top quality fish and chips excellent value, fish was fresh big flakes very tasty, customer toilet very clean and well kept , would definitely recommend well worthy of they’re rating, owner interacted with us overall a fantastic service and experience

Really good fresh cod fish. Also the fries were great. Excellent experience . Just a note, the location is wrong, it is located in the opposite side of the street.

Enjoyed excellent take-away fish and chips from the Britannia (although there is also a pleasant space to eat inside). Helpful service.

Ate at this eatery while on holiday. Staff were helpful and friendly. Food was freshly cooked to order and very tasty, portion size was good value for money. Well worth a visit- and an added bonus that they are dog friendly 😊

Went here and it was the only chip shop open. Dog friendly lovley food, lovley workers and overall really good place. Even got a free chip tornado.

Food is amazing best fish and chips I can remember. Staff are even more friendlier the owner was extremely welcoming - refreshing change we were made to feel at home kids loved it and not rushed lovely place highly recommend

fish was so good, curry sauces was a little watery but that is personal preference chips not bad too

Had 2 large cod and chips and 2 kids meals, all were cooked fresh and were spot on, really full of flavour, the batter on the fish was just right, nothing was too greasy. Would happily visit again

Delicious!! The cod was cooked fresh and tasted delicious. Ordered chicken nuggets off the kids menu which were also cooked fresh and very much enjoyed by our boys. The customer service was excellent and they gave our children lollipops when they were starting to fuss. Would definitely visit again - thank you

This is the best fish and chips in my experience. The fish is thick with thin crunchy coat/batter. The size is also big. We order one large cod fish for the two of us and felt full with it. The waiter was fun as well. My 3yo daughter liked him. At the end of our meal, he offered her some sweet for free which we had never expected. The toilet is clean. We just felt the seats to the table is a bit too close that we had to make a little bit effort to scootch in. We really enjoyed eating there.

Great quality, honestly the best fish and chips I've had. There is often a wait of around 5-10 minutes for the food however this is for the customers benefit and it shows. The food quality is so much higher due to everything being cooked fresh once the order is placed. This means you get fresh food, every time and I can't emphasise enough how much of a big difference that makes. Been here a few times now and compared to other chip shops it stands out on top every time. Staff are also friendly and helpful and are always cheerful and smiling. Great to see a local business take pride in their work. Keep it up!

Delicious fish and chips - tried both cod and haddock, all cooked fresh on the spot. Everything is hot and golden fried, served with lemon instead of vinegar which allows the natural fish flavour to shine through better. Try the cheesy chips for extra taste. The meal is brought in cardboard boxes so you can choose whether to eat in or take away. The staff are very kind and polite. Will come again on my next visit. There are tables outside, just by the promenade.

Lovely fish and chips. Some of the freshest I've had. My little one enjoyed her nugget meal. The staff were very attentive and accommodating. The lovely woman behind the counter really made the visit by checking in with us and giving a lollypop to my child. Will be back

Grab some tea after a long bike ride, the chips wasn't greaseie or any funny taste,the chips was freshly cooked and tasty, I also had a steak and kidney pie and was great would recommend to anyone

If it wasn't for the huge sign outside the reviews here make no sense to what we had. Even photos don't tie up, maybe new owners or something? We ordered cod + chips, scampi + chips and two cans of drink. £30. If it was good, it's fine and expensive but not the end of the world. For what it was, it was tragic. Both meals served in take out containers anyway, not like the many photos on eat-in food being on plates etc. Sauces were either catering bulk ketchup in a faded Heinz bottle or sachets of tartar sauce from a catering supplier. Neither tasted good. Food itself unfortunately was the worst part. Chips looked ok, but werent that warm and tasted stale. We ate just after opening, maybe last night's chips refried or something? Scampi was OK, not great. The Cod though was the worst part of the meal. It looked ok, but was very 'flat' batter, no crispy edges from where the batter hit the oil, and the batter was just sponging up the oil. The fish flaked and tasted fresh, but the batter either wasn't the right mix or (more likely) the fryers weren't anywhere near hot enough. Small difference but ruined the meal really. The staff were trying but there was only two of them. Great service vur the food let it all down unfortunately.

First time eating here after reading the reviews. I have to say it does not disappoint. Welcomed through the door for dinner even though they were closing in 40 minutes. Had the cod, chips and.drink for £12.50(bargain). The cod was huge and actually the best we've ever had. Unlike most fish and chip shops they also give you a slice of lemon for your fish. Can honestly say we will be eating here every time we are in Great Yarmouth from now on.

Had a delivery in the evening. I ordered the cod, scampi, chips and a nuggets meal for my grandson. The food was beautiful and hot. The seafood was full of flavor and no complaints from my grandson. The food was great value for money.

Food was very nice and stayed open late just for us

Lovely cod with great crispy batter. Chips were a bit over cooked but good sized portion. Mushy peas were great, not watery like a lot of take outs make them. Loved the addition of lemon wedges, only chippy down here that’s ever added the lemon! Delivery was spot on and the delivery chap was polite and cheerful.

Food was excellent. The fish and chips were perfectly cooked. The young lady taking the order was very pleasant and chatty. Only worry is that a customer brought a large dog into the restaurant and the waiter was fussing and stroking over the dog, and then didn't bother washing his hands. Something i think is important for someone who handles the food and serves the actual customers. Would have been 5 stars throughout had more attention to cleanliness be prevalent. Sorry.

£45 for 2 large fish and chips with mushy peas and a drink served in a cardboard box (no plate) and no glass offered for the drinks.....most expensive fish and chips I've ever had. The quality of the food was not particularly good. Wish I had looked at the price list before ordering. This place is a total rip off ! Wont be going there again !

Sausage was cooked well. The chips were very nice. The Cod was a little over done but still enjoyable. For a busy Saturday night it was a all round good meal.

We visited here as it was top rated, however, my husband and I worked here 35 years ago, as young teenagers, for a lovely Greek family and they stay in our thoughts.

Absolutely top tier food with top teir service, would 100 % recommend, the food was cooked to order and it was delicious, the guy even done us a special potato swirl. We walked along the whole front and ended up finding this gem, and just an overall great experience !!

We visited on a quiet Saturday. Large portions of freshly fried chips and very friendly service, which was all we needed. I'm not sure that chip shops have "atmosphere" but this one was clean and bright

Absolutely loved this visit today, all freshly cooked & the chef gave us a portion of chips to try while we waited. Much better than the previous owners, who were very good, but this guys are better.

I had cod and chips, long wait. When it came disappointed the cod was horrible it was soaked in oil and tasted bad left a fishy taste in my mouth all night, not what I expected at all.

On a day out to Great Yarmouth, we popped in to your Regent Road fish and chip shop. Once we'd ordered it wasn't t long before our meal arrived. The pie and chips were lovely and hot and very morish. We would recommend this fish and chip shop to our friends. Thank you for a lovely meal.

Visited here today for the first time and based on our experience it certainly won't be the last. The seating area indoors was spotlessly clean, bright and fresh. Our food was delicious. Nicely cooked cod with just the right thickness of batter. Moreish chips that didn't have that feisty taste which indicated to us that the oil used is being replaced regularly. We waited around 15mins but it was worth waiting for. The prices are a little higher than some other Fish and Chip eateries but when the food is as good as this you certainly dont mind paying extra for quality. Friendly service too. All in all a fantastic place and in our opinion the best Fish & Chips on the seafront area!

Amazing fish and chips and really friendly kind staff!

It may have been on time but for the price I expected more than scraggly chip ends and half a pot of mushy peas. We had the large portion and I had just enough to feed my 3, 2 and 10 month old so not very large at all and the peas were not so much mushy, rather liquid. I see this is down regent road so I expect they're used to holiday makers rather than repeat business anyway 🤷

Definitely the best fish and chip shop in Great Yarmouth, high quality shines through.. everything made fresh to order so nothing sat there drying out, chips were not greasy at all were cooked to perfection, my partners burger looked insane and he absolutely loved it, wonderful to finally have a place like this in Yarmouth! Wont go anywhere else now.

I was impressed ! 3 of us came (2 adults and 1 child). The restaurant was clean and enjoyable. Staff has taken great care of us. The food, I have no words :D it wasn't greassy like most chip shops and my burger left me speechless (good quality bread,variety of salad and a fine sauce). Even offered sweets to our boy before we left which was a really sweet attention. We will definitely come back.
